Six Flags is an AWESOME experience, especially for kids, and around major holidays. Unfortunately, the staff seem to be less competent and have worse attitudes toward customers than I had remembered, prices seem even more inflated than they should be, and the season pass policies (especially around meals) are engineered to be complicated and difficult to use. We'll certainly return but really hope they improve their staffing management, season pass policies, and at least stabilize their pricing.

Six Flags
Summertime in the morning time is best! Texas Giant I recommend and almost all the lines were open on a Monday! Got to go on all the rides available that day from 10 A.M. to 2:30 p.m. just alot of fun and not the last time I'll be coming here
Great way to have family time loved watch my family have a good time
Always a joy - just a shame the owners aren't keeping up with the light repairs in & around the park. Maybe Fright Fest will inspire some maintenance?
Took my family here over the holidays and the weather was perfect and honestly the lines were not very long at all. Had a great time!
Always fun to go here .. Just a heads up if you're going for the first time and need new cups GET THEM QUICK!!! We waited in line for over 45 minutes at member services just to get 4 cups!!! Other than that we always have some kind of lines which is normal!!!
It was fun, even though it rained. I wish they could get their member services together. You pay monthly for a service and cant use it?? But we did eventually clear the way to enjoy what we could! Great place for a family outing!! Love their workers the young lady who ran the teacups was a joy!
Fright fest was awesome! Definitely recommend going during October!
We had a great time as a family. I wish there was more rides in operation when we came. Multiple broken rides can be a bummer to see in a park you spent $300 plus for. But I'm looking forward to an updating review for the fifth star.
Been here many times over the years and it is still fun. Great variety of rides.
Terrible customer service!! Ja Kobe & Iker we re absolutely awful!! Will not be going back again!!
I have been to Six Flags multiple times in my life, but it was always at the San Antonio park except for one time it was the Houston park before they closed. This was the first amusement park my son has been too and he had a blast. He rode his first roller coaster and couldn't get enough he kept wanting to go on a bigger and faster one. He has not stopped talking about it and keeps asking when we are going to go back.
Man I love six flags, great prices and extra great coasters. We go down in the off season and have never seen big lines but we see how long they are prepared for in their busy time. Good smoked turkey legs, the meal plan they offer for their season passes is a great deal. I wish it where a little brighter after then sun goes down and it's not as clean as some other magical parks but the coasters and good prices make up for its flaws.
I found out I was too big to ride Batman The Ride, and instead of making a big deal of it, they were descrete and fast to get me off of the ride. Saving me from public embarasment. You can tell they really care about their guests. Food was also great. The diamond season pass allowed me a free meal and snacks. Theming was also top notch, Sixflags isn't known for having a cohesive theme, but the small places that did knocked it out of the park. The rides themselves are world class, there's nothing I can say that hasn't been said already. The park was clean and kept cool in the Texas heat. If you're in town or live anywhere near Dallas, you owe yourself to visit this historic park. It may not be the best Sixflags, but it's the first and one of a kind!
Lots of thrilling roller coasters. A very nice park. Many spots to cool off when the weather is hot.
Had a good time. Fright fest started too late though. After 9 p.m. But it was fun, lines were not too long.
Its not the same as it was. But, kids still had a great time.
They let too many people in on august 7th when we visited. There should have been half the attendance due to the Covid epidemic. The food and drink establishments had too many people and they are putting people in danger.
So fun. And worth it x10 if I get a season pass online.. With a food pass we didn't spend not one penny and had a blast..
This has been my favorite go to place since I was a kid! Now I love sharing the fun and memories with my own family as well.
I was scared at the start but then i had a blast there and its almost my birthday and were going to six flags and imma ride the impossible.
I come here almost every weekend it is the best place too have fun on a budget
Huh. Well... Six Flags has amazing roller coasters and great perks for members (I recommend it over season pass, if you visit Six Flags more than 4 times a year). My issues are small and by no means stop me from going. The wait times during peak park months suck, not enough large misting fans in the park or in lines for long waits in the summer, lack of water rides (one currently works only sometimes in hot months), and Holiday in the Park was a disappointment (lights only in some areas, not much decor, no fake snow, carolers, displays). That being said, still an awesome theme park!
Had a great time! Kids loved it, even though they didn't really want to go. Definitely consider a line pass.
Fun place to visit. Lots of staff and security present. Everything you could want for a day at a theme park. We hold season passes, and are very happy with park and services.
It is always is changing and keeps on adding new stuff, for example during the Halloween time they added spooky props. Stuff like that is what makes the pake super fun.
It's a fun place to be for Fright Fest holiday in the park or just any time
I used to go here when I was a kid. I took my grandchildren and was very disappointed. Over priced and rude service and help. We would ask a question to employees and some employees acted as if it where a problem to stop and help. Paying that much money I deserve to be treated with some sort of respect. Also there were alot of rides closed. Not worth my money!
Well I live in California, so my partner and I went there for my birthday weekend. We were there September 25 and 26, 2020. They just started their fright fest. Well, the rides are amazing. I didn't care too much for this bobsled ride but the joker was my favorite. The food was good too. Wait times were not long because I had the flashpass. Well worth the purchase if your visiting from a different city or state. Now the fright fest portion was not scary at all. I think I only saw 2 monsters and they were not scaring people like they normally do.
The lines are great, you get to stand around all day long and listen to frustrated parents gripping at kids. The best part is watching people cut to the front of the lines with speed pass and jump on a ride that you have been in line for 2 hour to get on. My favorite ride was the $5.50 for a 20 oz. Coke machine. And after all that excitement you get to end your day with a leisurely 45 min walk back to your car. So if you ever find yourself in a position to where you have to much money in your wallet and you need to lighten that load head on over to Six Flags.
Love the rides! Just wish there were more mild rides
I took mine little niece there and she thought that cyborg was real. That is a memory I will never forget. Some of the lines were really long but she handled them like a champ. she loved it there, so I loved it there.
The kids love this place, but I'm 6'6", so I can't ride the majority of the rides
been coming here for a few years thinking it would get better. people working here are rude and act like they do not want to be here. service here is awful. came a few weeks ago and there was no where to get our cups filled with water before 11am. the park is filthy. the trash cans smell horrible and the water for the aqua man ride probably hasn t been cleaned or filtered in the last 20 years, it makes me feel gross and dirty. the food is way too pricey for the quality. also when you purchase a season pass, there are only certain days to bring a friend free which sucks because then every one goes on those days so it is way too crowded to do anything. I wish they had a certain amount of bring a friend free days on each pass that way people would actually want to use them. park needs a ton of improvement and i m surprised people travel from far away to this park. can t imagine how disappointed they are.
Pretty fun time with friends, lines are long and the roads into are usually a mess. But worth it. Season passes are recommended if you're going more than 2-3x a year, nearly the same price as a general ticket
Place used to be so awesome. They had 3 major attractions down while we were there, and it was a shame to see you couldn't go up in the tower anymore.
Great just like I remember it. Long lines but some decent scary rides. The Titan lived up to its name. The Texas Giant was still great.
I dearly enjoyed the variety of rides and food. Sure the lines were quite long at times but it is an amusement park. Although, during my trip, several rides were down. Other than that, I enjoyed myself! The rides are worth it.
I didn't hate it I loved it....everything was great, made me feel like a kid again. Even the weather was helping us out. It was cool...to see so many people having a good time with their loved ones. I didn't get on the big rides, I regret it now. 6 flags is on top of my list for next year.
Ehhh it was alright to get out of the house and the kids loved it but those food prices are extreme they would still make lots of money if they lowered the price. Just seems so greedy to me.
We came here for the 2018 Fright Fest and had a really good time. We normally dont do a lot of rides since the park was only open for 5 hours for the event. We managed to get to 5 of the six haunted houses and of those we felt 2 of them were really well done. The Zombie one was by far the best. For the most part the staff were really helpful and pleasant. We did eat dinner there and all that can be really said is that it is an amusement park. Pricey and not really outstanding but my wife did say she really liked the pizza. Would definitely reccomend a visit.
Hadn't been in years. We had a lot of fun with the grandkids in the Haunted Houses.
Love sixflags over texas. And like how the new rid of Harlem Queen looks at night. Great place to go with the family specially if you get the season pass
Get season passes and get dinner passes not basic passes for food. The basic passes cut you off at 4:00 p.m. so if you're not even showing up until 1 or 2:00 in the afternoon it's not even worth it. That made us pretty irritated when we found that out.
Six Flags is tops for thrill rides and family fun. There are rides for all thrill levels. We've had season passes and dining passes for years. I drop my daughter and her friends off once a week during the summer for a day filled with fun, food and an expense of energy along with some exercise.
Very crowded, but definitely had a good time. Fright fest is always so fun.
Six Flags was so much fun and exciting and scary (Riddler was so scary for me). There is something for just about everyone here even for all ages just about! They were hosting a private party so it wasn't really crowded at all. We met some really nice people while we were there! We didn't have any bad experiences the whole time we were there!! I loved seeing our boys smiling, having fun and being happy. But the best thing about the day to me was being able to spend it with my family and a new friend(Britney)!! Hugs & Kisses to my hubby & our 3 sons!! Love y'all!!!
The park feels old and slightly run down but the new rides are fun and there's a good selection of food. I got a membership and it's been a great value.
We had SO much fun here! There were so many different things to see and do. I went to & was in a concert, listened to live youth musicians, be in a movie & drop to the ground in the dark. Great family outting.
Welp. Having season passes or memberships. Being able to go to SFOT for those few hours they open on the weekend days is fun. Come out walk around and enjoy
Great place if you missed the fair. The funnel cakes were so good I ordered 3. There were no complications on any of the rides.yay. too cool for the water log ride. There were several people out due to the school break. Nonetheless, the ride wait was not too bad.
The new Harley Quinn ride was not worth the hype. Going on a Sunday made the experience better that some past visits. Get a season and dinning pass if you plan to visit more that twice. It's a great deal and you get a lunch, snack, and dinner on EVERY VISIT.
Great for the whole family. There's rides for everyone, young and old. Come early for shorter lines. Little kids rides close earlier than everything else (usually sunset). You can bring your own bottled water.
Dezhou Six Flags Amusement Park is awesome! The transportation in the park is convenient, the facilities are intact, the scenery is beautiful, and the rides are also very fun. The new Wonder Woman rides are really exciting! The steel rattlesnake is my favorite roller coaster, and the second one is the ghost drive. The staff are very friendly. I ate a big steak, but it was a fast food and it was not good at all. Six Flags Amusement Park should learn from the official website of Universal and Disney, and then introduce some high-end restaurants, I am willing to spend more money in order to sit down and have a good meal. In the following Texas Carnival hopes can be improved.
NO Onion Rings! Gave me a small tot as a substatute. Kinda trashy too.
Dear Six Flags, your drink program at your parks is extremely unhealthy and unfair. People can buy a special cup for $20 that will allow you to have unlimited soda all day/all year long, but you can't put water in it. The refill choices are sugar soda, sweet tea, sweet lemonade or diet soda full of chemicals. If you want water, it costs $5.50 per small bottle. These options are so unhealthy for people, especially children! This is why America has an obesity epidemic. I wish everyone who cares would contact Six Flags an protest this stupid unfair policy. If i can get unlimited soda. I should be able to get unlimited WATER. Geez!
Long lines, super pricey snack stands are understaffed, 30 min wait time for popcorn. Super expensive!
I love this amusement park. They have a ride out here for kids of all ages. An excellent place to come and spend the day riding rides that are very scary from the Joker to the Titan. All the rides out here are great.
Had a great time! It was mine and my son s first time here and we really enjoyed it. Fun rides for littles, and thrilling rides for adults. We got the platinum passes and got to skip the first lines. Food lines were still absurd, but we went on a Friday, so it was to be expected.
Just moved to sc gonna Miss it love going especially for holiday in the park
Like our freeways and and interstates, crowded and can't handle the capacity of customers there. At 24 to 18 a ride times the wait time hr to hr n half to ride.......
Had so much fun! Best roller coaster rides I've had.
Wonderful family time. Lines just a little long, but it's expected.
They need to have a better system for waiting times. Long lines
My daughter had such a great time! We got lucky and went on a cold and rainy day when the park was almost empty. We were dressed for it and had so much fun. The new Texas giant is amazing. . . Wait. . . Let's discuss this. . .
Way crowded. Had to park by exit. Long lines at rides..just walked park n left. Am thinking the discounts on passes makes it more affordable for many more people, hence the crowds.
Being a diamond elite member has its bonuses. We have been here 7x this yr so far and it never disappoints.
Nicest day all summer to be at Six flags and the park isn't crowded at all!
Is a good place to go but sometimes the lines are too long but I love the rides and I got all of my fear of going upside-down,fast, & going high here and it's a good time to go on a rainy day so there will be less lines and faster fun
We had such a great time at this park. It was a busy week and it was well staffed. Super fun rides. Tons of food options. The meal plan options were really good. The BBQ was amazing (delicious fixings) the turkey leg, Philly cheese steaks. I liked that for a dollar more we could get a special cinnamon roll funnel cake. The only food that was a disappointment was the Chinese. You get one choice on the entree and it wasn't good at all. The staff was friendly and helpful. The photo staff was excellent. Super impressed!
This place is still fun even though it looks like they do not keep the park maintained as nice as it use to be
I LOVE THIS THEME PARK!!!! The staff is so kind and they focus on making sure it's safe and enjoyable throughout the park! Going again in a few weeks.
The rides and staff are wonderful my only complaint is that they need to develop some type of strategy for the parking lot madness. Have people directing traffic to open parking spaces etc. Took us two hours just to park and when you add the normal hour to two hour long lines for rides you don't get to enjoy the time you pay for. Other than that six flags is a wonderful place to take your family and I cant brag enough about the staff.
Six Flags was great today! We went to the Crazy Horse Saloon Show featuring Ms Ruby.. The cast was really talented! If you get to Six Flags check it out!
Many rides down or down for service. All water rides were down on a Very HOT day. For the prices we paid to get in and as many rides that were down made it not a very worthwhile trip. None of the little shops and food vendors opened until after 12:00-1:00. We were told they wouldn't until enough people showed up. Some of the employees were uninterested in helping. My favorite 3 rides, the log ride, the Lost River, and the train, 1 of the only reasons we went on such a hot day were down with not even an excuse to why. Couldn't understand many of the operators giving instructions at the rides. With all being said, we made the best of it! We may return, undecided at this point.
Love this park, great way to spend time with your kids. Membership pass and food pass so worth it.
The park is well maintained. Super long lines are a drawback. The food is good. The rides may not all be open when you go. If you have a one day ticket, that might be disappointing. Best to have a season pass. Do multiple visits if you are on vacation.
Note: Admission tickets received for free* I had never been to an amusement park in my life, and I had to say I enjoyed my time, although I arrived later in the day towards closing and didn't have very much time to actually ride many attractions. However the ones I did do were quite fun. Highlights were The New Texas Giant and the Superman. Both offered a lot of excitement especially for a first timer, and definitely won't be forgotten very soon. That being said, this place is very expensive, and almost demands the Flash Pass be used in order to avoid enormous lines. Parking alone is 30$, and even with that premium it is incredibly difficult to find a convinient area to park at. I wouldn't recommend doing anything here but the rides, as all of the concessions are also incredibly expensive. Overall it was a fun experience only mired by the pricing and inconvenience of the park itself.
It's amazing to take family and good rides for thrills
i was amazing . even u can get lost because its like a maze
Took my children for their first visit, and it was amazing! The membership is completely worth it. Note: Harleyquinn ride should have music during the ride. It's lack-luster.
Restooms could use attention. But overall great atmosphere and friendly service.
We were here for Spring break and we had a great time as usual. We're a family of 5 so we use our season passes often. Awesome park..we love creating memories here!!
It was the 4th of July. Got there at noon. If you could stand the heat it was a great time to be there. The lines for the rides were shorter than I've ever seen. It took no time to get on the popular rides. They raised parking prices for the day. It was $50 to park.
We love going to six flags as we buy season pass during the flash sale. Rides are scary and fun for adults as well as for kids. However Saturdays are always too crowded. Food options are not that great.
Six Flags parks are always a great place to take the family. The Titan is one of the best coasters around. The Texas Giant is fast and inredibly smooth...if you have a friend who doesn't like being thrown against the sides of the cars. La Vibora is unusual, a roller coaster without a track most of the way, fun but tame enough to put a kid in front of you and have them wanting to go again as soon as the ride ends. There's lots more here, but it's time for us to go back to the park, so get a season pass and maybe we'll see you there.
It s an amusement park, and a pretty fun one at that!
Entirely disrespectful to my entire family, discriminated against my siblings clothing, which was entirely within dress code, while letting a woman who s entire chest was out for the world and butt was showing happily pass through. One of the workers Larry began to raise his voice and threatened to kick my sister out of the park while she was being very calm and reasonable.
They always need work on cleaning the place up . They always need more workers running the place . Food needs to be better for the cost. Everytime you go some ride will always be broke .
You can definitely tell that this is the oldest park in the Six Flags fleet of amusement parks. Still as amusement parks go it is one of the most affordable options to get your thrill on. Our family loves roller coasters and this park did not disappoint. The Titan and the Texas Giant were two of our favorites. During our day we did have some issues with rides being down for technical difficulties but I chalked that up to the park opening up for the Spring Break week and working some kinks out. We rode almost everything we wanted to in a day. And in the last 2 hours we rode many of the rides multiple times. We will be back and plan to hit up more parks later this summer!
