Grew up going to 6 Flags. I've been going for over 40 years. Still a fun park. Lots of great memories. A little run down. But lots of new rides added. Kids running park do not understand customer service or creating a positive customer experience. Park hours do not necessarily mean anything is open or running. 12 PM opening means rides might be running by 12:30 and restaurants might be open by 12:45. Parking is dangerous and unorganized. No parking attendants directing traffic or guests walking to and from the park entrance. Good food choices but expensive. The dining plan is the way to go!

It seemed like half the rides were out of order. On the rides that remained Lines were on hour long! We stood in line one hour for The Riddler's Revenge and didn't even get on because it broke down!!! The worst!

I've had Gold Season Passes for 2 years and also the Season Dining Pass.. It's an awesome deal and well worth the money even if you only go a fee times! I enjoy all the roller coasters and rides with my family. Fright Fest, and Holiday in the Park are awesome to go to.

I'm a member and though I wish the Covid 19 pandemic wasn't the reason, I feel like maybe this is what needed to happen here otherwise. Now I know it was the very 1st day and it was members only but, the park was VERY clean, no foul smells and in no way was it crowded. Maybe this reservation system and new cleaning protocols will stay if and when the masks eventually leave. Oh how I hope we can one day be mask free again.
Kudos to Six Flags for their efforts to keep us safe, keep their business afloat and let us get our need to ride coasters taken care of.

The rides are very fun but you have to be ready for long waiting lines. It can range from waiting 10 min to waiting for 45 min. The food can be pricey, especially the drinks and vending machines. So I would highly recommend buying the six flags cup that includes free refills. It will save you a lot of money.

We went on a Monday. Best decision we ever made! The lines were so short; we were getting on a new ride every 20 minutes! I took my own drinks and we were back at the rides after that water break. I would recommend everyone to go during the week and do not buy a flash pass.

Was it because it was such a hot day in August that the ride operators appeared to have just endured a whipping? Or was this simply cellphone withdrawal symptoms? I worked there one summer too, long ago, but I knew how to keep a pleasant expression even when I was exhausted. Perhaps this is a long lost art. I was saddened to learn that when Astroworld shut down many years ago, it was partly due to the bar attitudes if the younger employees. I'd hate to see that happen here in the park I grew up in.

We visited on a Monday in July and had a great family day. A little disappointed that some of the main rides were not open, including The Titan, The Big Texan and the newest El Diablo ride. But the park was not crowded and no lines for the rides. I suppose that made up for it a little. Staff was mostly friendly and the park was clean. Just wish all of the rides had been open and available.

Pretty cool park that has a good sized selection of roller coasters and thrill rides. I mostly go for the roller coasters and Texas Giant was one of my favorites, even though it is a wooden coaster, the track is a new metal track that is smooth and the drops are phenomenal. They have a few older coasters such as batman the ride and the chiller coaster which blasts you off backwards. They have a wide variety of shops, and kids rides and areas as well. I took off a star because overall, the park is great, but it could use some updating on some of the rides and the park itself, the age is starting to show here. Also, the service and how the park is run is a little chaotic if you compare it to parks such as Disney or universal. Otherwise, the coasters are a blast and it's a good place to spend a day off.

Love EVERY bit of Six Flags Over Texas!

Love EVERY bit of Six Flags Over Texas!
My first ever experience of Six flags was tremendous!
Important notes:
* Carry change of clothes if youre going for water rides - they do have dryers too which works like magic along with natural heat (if going in summer)
* Carry small bag so that its easier for you to carry it/submit it while you enjoy the rides.
* You ll have water and ice slushes close by, so no need to carry extra water bottles.
* PLEASE go through the map beforehand and know where exactly you want to go first and which ride you want to enjoy later during the day.
* If going during Summer time, try to visit the water rides in the second half of the day since its usually more warmer then.

As soon as the park opened, we went to the far most ride - Joker which had no waiting at all. Plan well and you ll enjoy thoroughly!

There is a wide variety of rides and things to do. The staff are not great and the food is mainly average at best. I strongly discourage going to their "Asian" food place. That food was awful, and then you feel awful for paying too much for it, and then more awful in the middle of the night running for the toilet.

Had a great time at Christmas in the park this past weekend. However, almost didn't make it because your calendar on website is horrible! This isn't the first time I've had issues with trying to read it. Most of the country uses a Sunday-Saturday calendar, but no not ya'll. Monday-Sunday, very confusing when you're so used to it one way your whole life! But overall a great time was had.

Overall good experience with the amusement , but was verbally insulted by a guy after getting of a ride. Apparently the jerk had a problem with me being sweaty after being hot during this 100 degree day. Another day another time, that guy would've made me shut the park down lol.

Only 2 main downsides, food/drink is expensive, and it's always super crowded with long wait lines. Still, it is worth a memebership, has a large variety of rides, beautiful during Christmas too

In past years we've been to Six Flags over Texas during late summer early fall seasons with big family group, just for fun getaways. Today my aunt and uncle cousins and family came to celebrate my little brothers birthday and to try a different season to visit. We all enjoyed the Holiday in the Park, everything is lit and beautiful in the evening/night. We all loved the lights that change to music! We did have a couple downfalls. We arrived at 1pm and we got on the ship ride and it was great. My brother, cousins and husband got in line for el diablo, they waited about 6 minutes and when they were doing some inspection or ride malfunction. Fine. We moved on to la Vibora got in line waited about 5 minutes when a crew member came and told everyone it would be a while and it was being worked on. So we rode small rides here and there. Till we made it to Gotham. My brother, cousins, and husband lined up for the riddler, and those not riding, we waited and enjoy watching people ride other rides as we wait for our people. They waited close to an hour when they were next in line and the seat things came down and they started running an inspection or whatever it is they were doing. By that point everyone had had enough of all that. Especially after waiting so long and having to go line up in other long lines and possibly wait that long and risk for the same thing to happen. My husband was so upset he didn't ride any of the Gotham rides which he was excited to try the new joker and harley Quinn ride. The park should manage the rides better at least work on them or do inspectioning before opening and guests arrive so this doesnt happen frequent and also be able to grant those people waiting for a long time in line, a front of the line pass for another ride as a pardon for not being able to ride the current ride. I rode other rides with the kiddos and we gave the batman a try it all went great. And my husband tried the texas giant with us, we waited for an hour and it worked perfectly!as our last ride we tried la vibora and it was all moving along great until the cars kept stalling on the conveyor belt that brings the sled up. After waiting 40 minutes we got to ride it and stall on the conveyor belt. Well at least we were on a ride and not hanging upside down. In the end we did get to ride it and finish our night with the holiday show. Other than that, funnel cakes were great, turkey legs and Curly fries holiday shows and children choirs!

We took a group of 12 and there was plenty of things for everyone to be entertained all day! Everyone had a blast!
The people there were so helpful and honest too when I lost my phone, TWICE!

I used to absolutely love six flags when I was younger. My whole family always gets season passes. But my past few times going were not happy ones. My kids waited in long lines (I know that's normal) only to get either half way through and they shut the ride down. I watch two rides get stuck for almost an hour full of riders. A few rides you had to have a reservation to ride( Not sure how that works.) I just felt like alot of time was spent walking from ride to ride only to be told we needed a reservation or waiting in line only for the ride to get closed down.

Nothing more than rides. No place to get out of thr sun. Nothing pretty to look at. This is not like the 6 flags of my youth (not that old btw). If you are not a huge roller coaster person..skip this. Find a Busch Gardens and go there. Lots of closed rides and places where they obviously had shows that they closed down.

Loved coming here as a kid and I still occasionally visit from time to time. Fright Fest and Holiday in the park are both really really fun. Best roller coasters there are definitely Mr. Freeze, Titan, and The New Texas Giant.

Jusge roy scream was horrible. It's old and very rickety, you can feel everything from the littlest bumps to the the back breackin ONCE. I was in tremendous pain after this one. All the other coasters are fun. One scary thing is rhis place has no emergency protocol for an emediate response for a lost child. My son got seperated from us for about 30 minutes it felt like hours. I emidiatley went to a worker she gave me about a ten directional to a lost and found facility i couldn't follow every second matters in this kind of situation and she had no way on how to get ahold of security and didn't know what to do. I then tryed an employee at the game booths he to had no way to get ahold of anyone he then told me to go to another employee with a radio he didn't realy know what to do. At this point about 20 minutes passed in trying to get help. My wife and oldest then yelled to me they found him.
This park desperately needs to train all there employees on lost person/children procedures time reaction is very critical this was very unacceptable. We will still visit this park in the future, but make sure you have a plan if this happens. This park needs to get it together.

Same prices as before. Everything's breaking down. Twice have we waited 45m about to be in the front of two separate rides, just for them to tell us that it broke down for everyone to turn back around . 15 m for every o e in the li e to slowly get out in a single file. A little ridiculous for the money they make on a daily. Step up the tech and repair maintenance. For real.

Well yes it was a very nice place but i did have quite a scary experience on one of the coasters. The chair keeping me in went loose enough for me to actually fly out the ride, yet i was able to hold myself in. I didn't wanna complain cause the ride attendance were already dealing with enough sooo.. Yeah

Well, fun and enjoyable. Wasn't very well maintained this last visit. Looking a little dilapidated. Lots of rides not working. Best value for your money is to come on Friday and Saturday. Hours are extended. Otherdays are great if you can get a pass and come frequently. Park closes at 7 Sunday through Wednesday. Not enough time to get full experience

Fright fest is a joke compared to years past. No more people dressed up in costume during the day. The shows have been cut back as well. When they had their big production in the front. They called on Satan to raise a demon. Big time evil in nature. Guy named monte at the customer service was completely worthless. Refused to be helpful in any way shape or form. Refused to accommodate a child in a wheel chair. He also refused to get his manager and later in the day when i saw park manager he stuck his head out the window saying he would help. Trying to keep me from talking to park manager. I had to argue with this idiot for over an hour. I am disgusted with this place. They used to do tick or treating for all my kids. My second grader was told no he to old. Bathrooms are the filthiest i have ever seen. There so called parking exits are so croweded we sat in the car for an one and a half hour sitting still before someone cut the cable so people could get out. Tried to get help from security to on opening up the parking lot so people could get out he was just worthless no help what do ever. So after 1 hour delay because they said our passes were not working. About 2 hours with the idiot Monte. And about 2 hours in a parking lot. If you like getting your time wasted by people that act like govt. Employees then its where you want to be. I will be cancelling my 9 diamond elite passes and dinning passes.

The park is ok, except for the park bathrooms they are absolutely disgusting. And the park kind stinks at times. And the food pass we payed for rules were changed so we are disappointed.

As a theme park enthusiast, I was excited to see the original Six Flags. After researching ticket and season pass prices, I decided to purchase the pass. The prices are very reasonable. The actual park itself is very cool. A nice mix of prefabricated rides (scramblers, carousal, tea cups, and a wild mouse coaster) and original rides. The thrills are there and the park is large. All of this combined makes the ticket price worth it. You can also drink booze! What's not to love?! My only criticism is on the actual themeing and state of the park. It looked dirty with cob webs, leaves, rotted wood and hardly and effects running (i.e. waterfalls, lights, fountains, etc.). It looked a little run down. Other than that, it's a solid park. I'm glad that I purchased an annual pass and I can't wait to go back again.

All the attractions are really fun. The lines I made, were from 15 to 30 minutes long for most of the rollercoasters. I went on a Saturday, so there was a lot of people in the park. It's really hot in there, so it's always recommended to take comfortable clothes.

A must visit for all the thrill ride enthusiasts. Freeze, Titan and Texas Giant are the best rides. Go on a weekday and u might get to go on all the rides. Weekdays u might find waiting for more than an hour for a single ride.

Fun for the entire family. Food is pricey. Rides were a lot of fun for the teenagers and little kids. Look online and plan your day before coming. Spring and fall are best for short lines.

Just wanted to give a shout out to a place I grew up going and now my kid to go to. Don t think it s as great as it once was when I was going but still a wonderful place to go and my kids love it. We always look forward to going to still. I am probably just old school and like simple things Lol

Parking $30, unless you want to pay $40 for priority parking. Entrance fee good for almost all rides, unless you want to pay more so you can just bypass everyone else and go to front of line. Plan on spending most of your time standing in lines unless of course you upgrade to a Flash Pass. Food/Drink pricing is stupid high. If your a family of 4 or 5 plan on spending a small fortune.

I came here today with the kids. This whole area is a great location to have a day visit. We bought meal tickets for the day that were about $40 bucks for unlimited drinks, lunch, dinner, and a snack. The entry was about $85 per person, a bit less if you bought a three day advance ticket. If you're counting on being able to park at the lot on site, then that's about another $30 for one vehicle. So it would be good to gather all family members and friends into the family bus for the ride down in the morning to ensure that you can ride everything at least once before the bulk of the crowd arrives. It was a pretty time for the adults, but the kids were having a great time. They were wiped out by 5pm and we arrived at opening time of 10:30am.

My grandsons had a lot of fun. Only down size was the price of food and drink and the smell near the drink machines. They have plenty of upgrades for regulars who live nearby but those traveling pay double.

If i could give this place no stars, i would. I went to six flags today, there was a decent amount of people only about 40 min wait on a Saturday which isn't bad. BBBBUUUTTTT EVERY RIDE IS BROKEN. Frozen broken. Harley Quinn broken. Joker broken. Super man broken. We stood in line for each ride, got all the way to the top of the line and then the ride malfunctions. Which is SUPER scary because how many people were riding it before us that rode a broken ride??? And then they said "you can wait until it's fixed" umm no thank you. So I can fall and die on this malfunctioning?? I'd like my money back.

We had so much fun with all the fun rides and a really long lazy river. It s like other theme parks with the overpriced food, drinks, and toys. If you have young children and like to take them often, the membership is the best way to go!

This place is a scam. Stealing from customers. Bought tickets that are more expensive than the regular passes, only to be told the park isn t even open for HALF the day. Why are you charging full price for less than half the time? Last time I ever go to six flags. Customer service also terrible. Couldn t get a hold of anyone. Staff unfriendly And didn t offer refund. NO STARS

I just wish the staff at the park were alot more friendly. I ordered a funnel cake and at the window she said what do you want. I asked for napkins and she responded ain't got none and walked away.

Great place to hang out for the evening if you buy season passes!!! The rides are fun and they have rides for the whole family! My wife and I use this place for the whole family, just our older boys, or just us!

Unfortunately the park has changed a lot in the last few years. There were several rides that we waited in very long lines for only to be told they had certain weight restrictions when we got to the front that they did not have when we visited 2016 and prior years. I understand this is likely in part due to stricter regulations given the park's history, but this should be posted throughout line areas so that people are able to best utilize their time and energy on rides they will actually be able to enjoy.
Additionally, yes, there are new rides, but the older rides haven't been updated and are rougher. Not worth the time or cost.

We took our family to Six Flags this past Friday and had a great time! I hadn t been to Six Flags in 25 years so it was neat to see how it has changed over the years. The weather was perfect the day we went and crowds were light. We were able to get inside before official open time at 2:00 so it was good to get there early. We did not have Flash Passes and thankfully we didn t need them since crowds were light. We also really enjoyed The Holiday in the Park activities and lights. Kids loved it and didn t want to leave.

Disappointed - have been to Six Flags St. Louis several times since opened and they practiced COVID safety measures a great deal, spraying rides after each group got off and also having paper towels available in restrooms so I was very disappointed to stand in much longer lines in TX only to see different practices. Very few rides followed safety precautions and only heat dryers in restrooms leaving disregard to handling of doors. Additionally, rides are super spaced out and mediocre selection. Seems more walking was done than anything. Expectations were much higher since they are the Six Flags home base.
