What has happened to the Six Flags of my youth? Gone are the entertaining shows (bad sound systems, same old scripts, nothing original) gone are live musicians, gone are family oriented attractions. The main focal point is the thrill ride. And these are frequently closed down. Ya'll need to take a page from Disney. Why do you think they are regularly in the black and ya'll are in the red? Re-think what made 6 flags great!

We have a Six Flags membership and decided to go for Mother's Day. There were a lot of people there but we didn't have to wait too long for any kids rides nor adult rides as we could do the single rider line in some. Great time.
Great experience. Lines were short today. That s not always the case, so we were happy. Place was clean. Staff was always nice. A few rides closed, and hoping they have those open tomorrow. Hand sanitizer all over the park, which we REALLY appreciate.
Too pricey, then people pay more to cut in line. Also, the rides are too cramped for muscular guys. Had a couple of rides that were very uncomfortable and made it difficult to breath. I am skinny at 5'10 175lbs, but I have a thick chest. The over shoulder restraints make it pretty hard for my chest to expand during normal breathing.
Fun place.... Thrilled out at the end. Joker was good. The Riddle revenge was surprisingly scary "flying out of my seat". TexasGaint and Titan were the longest and best rollercoaster I had ever been. Warning " u might break your neck, spine" in Titan. I'm serious u might break. Food we're costly. The vending machines were like money minting ATM's. You just put in $4 for a drop(500ml) of water actually. Justice league was so fun. It was old school . Over all it is a fun place to hangout. Get the season pass for Halloween, there are lots to come
My family and I always have a great time here. The rides are always fun and the lines aren't that bad. Holidays in the Park is our favorite time to visit.
I gotta be honest, I had fun because my kids had fun, but we were disappointed because a lot of the thrill rides were closed due to technical issues. For the price we paid, not quite a bang for my buck. That's why I'm not giving the 5 stars.
You gotta go in good, fun company and for sure will have fun. Don't take too many things to carry around, because you have to put them somewhere while you ride and may lose them! We went as family and had dinner as a company, and six flags hosted us really well.
How this amusement park has great reviews is mind boggling. We have been to a lot of Parks; Disney FL and CA, Animal Kindom FL, MGM studios FL, Islands of Adventure FL, Universal FL and CA, Seaworld FL and CA, Discovery Cove, Legoland, Elitches CO, multiple water parks all over the Country, Six Flags TX scores the lowest by far. Value for price is terrible, lines long, the park is just an asphalt jungle, hot, dirty, grungy, stinks(you d think they d at least hose down for the smell of puke-nope), several rides broken and closed, customer service terrible, it does have a few cool rides but for the price and wait not worth it. Management and flow of crowds is terrible. Most of the people we saw were locals. The season pass is probably worth it if you were local, but if you are visiting from out of town and going for just the day, trust me, not worth it, you will regret it, especially for the price!
Not crowded. Clean. The rides were stopped and cleaned on a regular basis. It only took 10 to 15 minutes. No lines to wait in for the rides. Everyone wore their masks. Very pleasant day.
I have had approximately 12 lumbar punctures in my life. I have nerve damage after the puncture resulting in a spinal leak. I am a nurse and do alot of lifting and rolling of kids the size of adults etc.
I came to 6 flags to pick up *my son* at closing time Saturday night August 3, 2019. It was about 930 pm.
I am a season pass holder along with my kids and parents and young siblings (with 4 being under age 10). I went straight to guest relations to borrow a motorized wheel chair to travel across the park and pick *him* up from my step mom.
Guest relations: RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, NOT EQUIPPED WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AT ALL.
Guy ignored me for several minutes as my back spasms. He finally made eye contact. Asked how he could help me. I stated my purpose for being in the park and asked if I could borrow a chair for 30 to 45 min to pick up my son.
He turns to the other guest relations girl and begins to have a whole conversation. She gets up and leaves.
He looks at me like we never spoke. He asked, how can I help you?? I felt like I was talking to Dori from finding Nemo. Like.... where were you the 30 seconds I spent making eye contact and telling you what I needed?? I restated what I needed. I have a bad back injury and I just entered the park a moment ago to pick up my son from across the park.
They wouldnt let me borrow a chair or give me a discount. I was told I'd have to pay ***$85 dollars***. I asked them to page him over speaker because My phone died and I had no way of contacting my family. They refused to assist. I walked off.
I found my family finally while sitting on a bench by a jewellery maker. My son was no where to be found. I walked and sat. Walked and sat walked and sat. The park was closing. My son was right in front of me and he begged for 1 more ride. I needed a break anyway. They closed the ride immediately after he arrived. No problem.
Time to leave. I walked from the tower to the front gate with spasm shooting up my right side and through my right butt cheek and down my right leg. My back felt like it was status: labor pains. I was in agony. Both legs would go numb. I was ready to vomit in pain. I sat down in a wooden eating area. An employee approached and said, mam you have to go. I said I know. He said , "You have to go NOW THE AREA IS CLOSED!"
I SAID MAYBE IF GUEST RELATIONS WASNT COMPLETE IDIOTS AND INCAPABLE OF COMPREHENDING A GUEST COMPLAINING OF A BACK IN NJURY, I WOULD ALREADY HAVE BEEN GONE 1 HOUR AGO. IM HERE FOR MY SON AND BEGGED TO BORROW A MOTORIZED WHEELCHAIR FOR 30 MIN. THEY REFUSED WITHOUT AN 85 DOLLAR PAYMENT. I SAID SO HERE I AM. MY LEGS ARE NUMB ONE SECOND AND HAVE SHARP RADIATING PAIN SHOOTING DOWN THEM AND MY LOWER BACK FEELS LIKE ITS CONTRACTING. HE APOLOGIZED. TOLD ME A FEW SHORT CUTS. PRAISE GOD!!!
I DONT EVER WANT TO RETURN. I DONT EVEN WANT MY KIDS OR FAMILY TO RETURN. IM JUST SO OVER IT. IM SICK OF THE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE DFW AREA. NO ONE CARES ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS ANYMORE. THE TRAFFIC IS HORRIBLE. THE POLICE ARE NEGLIGENT. THE TOW COMPANIES ARE DANGEROUS AND KNOW THEY CAN RUN PEOPLE DOWN IN THEIR TOW TRUCK AND POLICE WONT DO A THING ABOUT IT. ITS DISGUSTING HOW ARLINGTON TREATS VISITORS. THERE IS AN OVERALL DISREGARD FOR HUMAN LIFE IN ARLINGTON.
SIX FLAGS HAS GONE DOWN HILL. ITS GROSS. STINKS. FILTHY. EMPLOYEES ARE SO RUDE. EVEN THE CUSTOMER CARE TEAM IS HORRIBLE.
ILL GO TO SEAWORLD OR TAKE MY KIDS TO MISSOURI THEME PARKS BEFORE ILL RETURN HERE.
This place has some of the best coasters on this side of the coast! Like any amusement park, however, look forward to outrageous prices for food, drinks as well as insane wait times, rough parking, and crowds for days. Other than the obvious common downsides, this park has a lot of very good rides that on certain days barely have any line at all.
I got food poisoning from eating at this place so if you're a clean eater already like me, avoid eating here. I was sick for 5 days from the food. Weather was too cold for them so they shut down at 2:30pm. I was dressed appropriately for the weather but the high schoolers that work here weren't. They opened at 10:30am even though site says 10am. I only got to ride 6 rides because that's all that was open since they don't know how to dress warm. The excuse if hydraulics being too cold to work is BS because Coney Island New York stays open all year during snow and rides are still operable, so that's total BS. I preordered online the $180 flash pass and 2 tickets ($140) and I'm not getting any refunds because they don't give refunds due to weather or any excuse. My hard earned money was completely wasted. The 2 tickets for another day is useless because I don't live anywhere close to DFW anymore. No one tried to fix this situation either. And here, 1 1/2 weeks later, I'm leaving a poor review because no one contacted me after I did the survey online when I asked to be contacted. Worse trip I've ever had and this is the worse amusement park I've ever been to, and worse customer service for such an expensive short lived trip.
I love this theme park. I like how y'all have maps to give to costumers. I like how the park is very clean. I like how the staff is helpful and friendly.
Fun day w/o the family...nice weather, plenty to do for the older kids and little riders. Some lines were long..>1hour. Good day overall. Parking same as always. Just enjoy the walk.
Fright fest was terrible. they charge you extra just to be able to go into the haunted houses. The staff is miserable, very little effort from the haunted house actors as you walk through. One house the actors just stopped moving or doing anything halfway through and just stood and stared as you walked by. They also just let the line continue to walkthrough didn t space us out/make you wait as the other people went before you, so you literally saw everything coming. Also the food is overpriced. 12 bucks for a slice of pizza that has no sauce and undercooked. No one was in line and it took over 10 minutes to get a slice and a cup of coffee. Highly disappointed with my visit and felt terrible that I took my friend from out of town and he had to spend there money on this.
Fun time with the family, but they are constantly closing down rides throughout the day so it s really frustrating when you walk across the park only to find out it s closed. I just wish they would be better about updating the app. Ride closures and wait times are very unreliable.
Definitely needs to be updated!! Rides break down way too much lately. Food is super expensive so you definitely would benefit from getting a membership and getting a discount at least. Employees are often pretty rude. Overall I feel it's really going downhill. There is a lot of potential, but the major issues keep previously dedicated members, like myself, from wanting to go anymore.
Six Flags is always fun. The downfalls are that tickets are expensive, they charge you an arm and a leg for parking even though more than likely you won't be parking close, the food is extremely expensive, and the lines are so long that you need to know what rides you really want to ride because you won't be able to ride most of the rides due to the lines.
My daughter Gigi & her husband used their season passes to bring a friend free to 6 flags before school starts again Mon 21 August 2017 which my one son Joe went with us. The parking was $25 but admittance & the rides was covered by the paid season passes.. My daughter stated that they have gotten their money's worth from the paid season passes that are also good for Hurricane Harbor admittance... Looking forward to seeing Fright Fest soon during the Fall Autumn season!!!
The park is so awesome to visit. I just received email that they are going year around. This will be great to use my season pass year around I just hope they don t raise ticket price. Hopefully employees will be there so the rides all will be open. My favorite is the holiday in the park.
Though crowded for the Holiday in the Park event, we had a great time. Staff @ the rides we rode & the few food stands visited were friendly. Our only issue was the lack of knowledge & attention when assistance was needed by other park staff ... Will be taking full advantage of my season pass!
Great family fun! Get your tickets online to avoid ticket lines. We had a wonderful time there this summer. Ride lines moved quickly and there are rides for all ages.
Silly, silly parking lot. Beautiful theming though! Avoid Judge Roy Scream - rough and underwhelming with very painful restraints. Nice collection of ACE coasters, and great food! Well shaded and they give large cups for ice water for free
I loved it but I love in Texas so I mean yo gurl be there lots of time and it is fun with all the roller coasters and even kiddy land with baby coaster and even.have holiday in the park and fright fest(for Halloween with zombies and other scary things walking around)
First time visiting it was ok. Kind of old couple of rides were down for repairs. The main ones actually. They will hound you to pay membership even though you can't go there due to covid19
This is a fun amusement park to take the family to, especially if they are into rides. I haven't been here for several years but the few times I have gone I have really enjoyed the rides. I love the Mr. Freeze and the Batman rides. One time we were there towards the end of the day and the lines had cleared out and we were running back and forth between those two rides, one after the other.
Worth the season pass or membership if you're local and definitely worth the flash pass if you catch it on a sale. Don't expect much help from staff members even if you're Diamond elite members.
I haven't been to the Six Flags in Arlington and over 20 years. I decided to go because it was a school event for my child and the tickets were basically half price. The good thing about this park is it has plenty of rides that will turn you twist you flip you and put you in the back of the seat. The food is a little bit overpriced I didn't expect to pay $9 for a regular funnel cake but what else would you expect from a theme park. There is also a lot of walking involved which is part of the event. The hundreds of high velocity fans really do help you cool off. I found myself full of rides for a while and don't plan on making another trip to Six Flags unless half price tickets become available again.
The park itself was awesome! The employees were helpful and the wait for rides wasnt that bad. It is kind of bad that I get to brag about security but they are very responsive. Had 2 girls shoulder check me as they were line hopping in front of me and called the number clearly posted on every ride about it. Within 8 minutes a security officer was there, asking who it was, and removing them from the line. Later at night 2 boys were running down the train tracks, fortunately the train was closed for the season, but employees were quick to respond and get security involved in the incident. Six Flags has always been a part of my life as a child and now as a adult and I'm glad to see that as time has changed the overall experience as not. The park has adapted to the growing problems and is always adding solutions for these problems.
Absolutely wonderful I've been there twice and I've had a blast both times especially if you have a season pass and if you buy the season drink it pays for itself on the first a visit and for handicapped people they also have carts and wheelchairs that you can rent they have wagons and things that you can rent for children best place on Earth for a family get-together it's a little expensive but it's well worth the price
Fun! Kids loved it. There were very few lines. I suggest going when it's 100 outside, there were plenty of sprinklers and water rides to keep you cool. The heat definitely keeps the crowd low. We were able to ride rides back-to-back because there was nobody in line.
Went there with a friend and dropped my vape on the joker ride. I told them the exact location where it was and that desk clerk at lost and found was rude, they really didn't bother looking for it at all. It was a $75 vape :(
We went for my birthday in 2017 and it was the perfect time to go! It rained the day we went but we still had a great time and there were no lines for the rides! The only thing was the rain did cause several rides to shut down so we did not get to ride some of the ones we had planned on. The food was pretty awesome and I found a lot of collectibles for my husband in all of the gift shops! They offer a fantastic service to deliver your purchases to the front of the park so you don t have to carry it around with you all day. You simply pick them all up on your way out! It was a great trip and we will be back!
I went here for a vacation and it was still cool. I haven't been to six flags over texas in over 25 years. When we went the lines weren't very bad. One of the newer roller coasters I really enjoyed was the Pandemonium it's pretty fun. The only reason they aren't getting 5 stars is the cost of beverages a bottle of water was $5.
We went on home school day so the lines where tiny! Loved it, clean facility and we had a great time. Prices are over the top but that is the way it is now a days - drop a few hundred for the day at the park.
Thank you to Santander for free friends and family day at the park. My children thoroughly enjoyed exploring all the kid friendly sections and they had a blast!
Awesome rides! I recommend the Judge Roy Scream, it is my favorite. Their food is pretty good. Definitely a great place to take the whole family, especially when it's nice outside. Awesome amusement park with lots and lots of rides.
Solid time and there are some pretty fun rides there. We went when our company rented out the entire park for an evening so there were virtually no lines for any of the rides but I would imagine waiting in line could be a nightmare at peak times. Ride operators were giving instructions over the speakers at each ride but we're holding the microphones too close and everything sounded muffled so we couldn't understand them. And for a tall person, some of the restraints closed a bit too tight but better than than feeling unsafe. Park is just the right size.
Worth getting a season pass to! this is the first year I have gone in the summer season and we have already gone twice. Before, I used to go to their Christmas in the park, but I love going with my husband!
We were lucky with shorter lines. The rides are great. We loved the titan roller coaster. Bring a water bottle with a large lid. The concessions gave us free ice water all day it kept us alive! A lot of people threw up and stopped many of the rides from running. Many rides ran at partial capacity which made for longer wait times than were necessary. Lije Mr Freeze was an hour or more wait. Do study the map and carry one so you know how to get around or try the app?? But we did find it diff8cult to navigate the park a few times so we guessed a lot. So sont be l I'll ke us. Overall it was great. fun.
I have always had a great time here. Fantastic place to go as a family or a group of friends. I only gave it three stars because the bathrooms were dirty and the food was insanely over priced. Also 5 rides were down when we got there and 2 more closes while we were there. That's 7 rides. But the rides that work are great. And the staff is great too.
Good park, the San Antonio one is better but that's pretty far from this area. The Titan is a personal favorite but the Batman, Mr. Freeze, and the Riddler are pretty great too. We got stuck on the new Harley Quinn ride so riders beware....
Six Flags has my heart and will always be 5 stars, but today there were several technical issues. We did everything we wanted. We just kept walking back and forth between a few rides waiting for them to reopen. All in all, it was a great day and memories were made.
Great rides, we had a good time. They refused to honor the Flash Pass discount on our membership and refused to offer us a refund. This costed us $45. We ended a wonderful day on a bad note. We've contacted online support and they haven't been helpful. I won't be returning to Six Flags after our membership expires.
I took my students here and it was amazing experience for us. It was not crowded because I went there on Friday and weather was beautiful. We rode rides as much as we can,but Texas giant was the best.
Lots of excellent rides, and prices of food and drink are only slightly-exorbitant as opposed to grotesquely-exorbitant (meaning you only pay $10 for a bottle of water as opposed to $25 at Disneyland). In terms of rides, I'd recommend the Riddler, Texas Giant, Titan, and Pandemonium (which is basically a teacup ride on a roller coaster track AKA a "Crazy Mouse" ride)
Six Flags over Texas has a lot of great rides and activities. Their membership program is also a great idea and not too expensive. The only real problems I found at the park was the lackadaisical attitude of the staff and their willingness to shirk their duties onto someone else. Also, the lack of handicap accessibility at the park is evident almost everywhere. I was very disappointed in that since my wife could not access certain areas of the park and she could not access MANY of the rides. The electric chairs that they offer for $51+ tax could not fit into their mazes or railing... Sad that this could have been a 5 star visit if they would have put in some more thought when designing the park.
Oh my God I love this place so much but my parents don't want to get a season pass anymore so I can't go they've talked about just getting me one but oh my God I have spent way too long without going my last time going boards back in December no yes my last time going was back in December and like I really want to go back I miss Six Flags so much my family like would not do anything or like they would barely even go but I mean I have friends I can go with them in a lot of them have a season pass so like I really want to go back to this place is the happiest place in the world for me honestly Fort Worth has the best advice ever well honestly it's Arlington but I really want to go back to Six Flags I wish I had a season pass to just don't have the money for it anymore I love the Titans like I got on it one time two times one time was with a friend that you just happen to see you there and the second time was with my best friend on my birthday which was not the best day but I still loved it since my best friend was there and I have my first date at Six Flags so it's like the best place in the world for me I mean me and him broke up already but we lasted like six months and I honestly still like him that day was awesome we went go-karting and I beat him we also got a bunch of rides we got on the Giant and oh my God reaction while we were going down was hilarious and he started laughing at me but yeah I really want to go back and I don't know what's really going to read this whole review but it's worth writing because of flags of the best place in the world you should try the funnel cakes I love them
Staff sucks here. They seem to be more excited about a ride shutting down then it being open. They have no enthusiasm what so ever and the atmosphere....well, lets just say it's not a joyful one. Rides always shut down. In 4 hours we rode 3 rides WITH a gold speed pass. After the Titan, Giant, Mr Freeze, Batman, and then the Riddler all shutting down we were completely irritated and left the park. It seems to be a hangout with everyone just sitting around and walking around. This place is not the same Six Flags I grew up to. Will not return.
Always fun once you are in! Went during Spring Break with passes. Tried using the buddy passes but that was difficult because the staff does not know the same information regarding how to use the passes. You can talk to 5 different staff members & they would all have a different answer.
I always love going to Six Flags naturally, because it fun. There are areas they could continue to improve. Better customer service from some of the food places and the bathrooms are mostly nasty to use. I appreciate that the ones who try work hard to do that, but collectively as a whole it could be better. Other than that I enjoy going there and as always love riding the roller coasters and enjoying the different themes and events they have!
Batman and Mr. Freeze rides are always breaking down. usually after you've waited an hour in line. They tell you they don't know how long till they'll be working again. This is the worst theme park I've been to. I just wish management would realize we spent our hard earned pay and are using our time off to come here and give our kids a good time - not to be frustrated by broken rides and watching "fast pass" riders go in front of us
The park is filthy. Why? Because it's completely staffed by adolescents who thinly veil their contempt for customers (and their jobs) behind expressionless faces of disinterest. We spent 9 hours at the park and I saw one adult the entire time. This included the people buckling me and my family into the rides. The park was a sanitation nightmare. Absolutely disgusting. My grinding concern the entire day was, "If these people show such little regard for cleanliness, why should I feel confident that they are focused on ride safety?" Nothing like placing the security of your family into the hands of "Skippy-The-Teenage-Ride-Engineer" after his intense-operational-training consisting of nothing more than watching a 45-minute-corporate-video produced by Michael Scott. Not to mention the roaming bands of off-shift-employees who thumb their nose at park policy once they get into street clothes. I saw one kid who was clearly an off-duty ride operator (because he jumped the barrier to talk to his buddies working the ride to the surprise and resistance of absolutely no one) on a different ride during the day. There are signs and recordings all over the park prohibiting the use of cell phones on rides. This kid was on a kiddie ride later in the day screaming like a buffoon, waving his cell phone all over the place in an obvious show of defiance directed at his employers. No adults anywhere. AN......NEEEEEEE........WHERE. His girlfriend operating the ride just played along and smirked while scores of hard working parents looked on in disbelief. The lunatics are running the asylum, folks. On a positive note, the roller coasters are some of the most fantastic I've been on. But every dining area is surrounded by putrid, overflowing trash cans that reeked of milky sewage-water you sometimes see seeping out of garbage bins behind restaurants. We had to eat our food standing up in a general-population-area just to get away from the smell so we could "enjoy" our snacks. The fountain-drink-spigots had swarms of bees (bees......not flies....BEES!) crawling into the spouts. No exaggeration, a lady next to me in line had TWO bees get poured into her beverage. And the executives at Six-Flags have given up on restroom sanitation. They've just mailed it in. It's not even on the agenda at board meetings. They........don't........care. Absolutely rancid conditions. The stench was worse than any rest stop we used on the interstate. (Let that sink in for a moment.) Here's a pro-tip, Six Flags: FLUSHING MATTERS. So either invest in some auto-flushers or swing on by the toilet holes now-and-then to verify that the stalls don't resemble a cigar store when a guest walks in. While we saw teenage crews pushing trash carts and carrying brooms, I NEVER SAW THEM SWEEPING ANYTHING! We spent over an hour in Johnny Rockets for lunch. At no time (from getting in line to leaving after our meal) did I ever see any employee wipe down a table. I had to ask an eye-rolling-manager for a sanitation rag and some disinfectant so I could wipe down our table.......MYSELF. What I got was a paper towel and a squirt bottle of water. Again, during our entire meal, never did I see a table wiped down. Pro-tip #2, Six Flags: The correct response to a customer who says, "Thank you" is, "You're welcome." Not, "Ya." Not, "Uh, huh." Not, "yep." The words you are looking for after I empty my 401k to visit your cesspool is, "You're welcome." Look, fellas. I know amusement parks are a "money-grab." Compared to Disney, you guys are downright affordable. But at least Disney staffs their parks with WELL TRAINED money-grabbers who can at least fake a believable smile for 8 hours, flush the sewer pickles down the commodes, and figure out that nobody wants to eat at a table with the previous guy's crumbs all over it. If you would like to avoid a stinky, sticky, filthy park that is completely run by teenagers who seemingly hate their jobs (and who undoubtedly all support a $15-minimum-wage), save your hard earned money on Six Flags over Texas. We'll never go back.
