We made a reservation a week ago, and got a confirmation email. Then drove five hours to Six flags Over Texas. While in Downtown Dallas traffic we received an email that the park wasn t open. We were trying to navigate traffic. We didn t see the email till we were in line and a representative was turning people away. NOT IMPRESSED!!!

Weather was bad. However, I'm still a fan. A couple rides were temporarily closed. Staff was a little inattentive in my opinion. Bought a subscription to gold membership so we can come back weather permitting. Food is ridiculously priced but the bc rides make it worth it!
Great to go to year round, especially for Holiday in the Park when the park is lit up for Christmas. Just make sure to go on the less popular days to avoid the crowds, like an overcast day or a Sunday, never go on Saturdays or Mondays though.
Not sure how Six Flags is staying afloat. Seems like every time you want to ride something, it s closed (the titan) or gets shut down all too often due to technical difficulty , as happened to us on Mr Freeze after waiting in line for over 45 minutes! Most of the rides go off 25% empty despite long lines which is completely inefficient and often only one of the multiple roller coasters is operating properly. Very disappointed and wish I spent my vacation day doing something else than waiting in lines for malfunctioning roller coasters. Ugh!!!
I have a season pass this year, with meal passes. The meal passes have specific guidelines when it comes to what you can buy, and what times, so get there in enough time to enjoy all your meal passes for the day.
The rides are great, but would like more variety of foods to eat. Most food stands offer the same things. My favorites are the brisket fries, turkey leg and funnel cake.
I would love to see some more vegetarian/vegan options at the park. Looks like the only vegan option (that wasn t a salad) was a black bean burger at All American Cafe.
When it's not super crowded, we get on a variety of fun rides. The kids and adults have a great time. I would love this place if I was able to have more healthy food options!
The kids loved it. The bathrooms need updating the conduits for the hand dryer was so old that it was rusting and the tile on the floors was from the 80's. There were few fowl smells as we walked through the park.
Always fun to come here! Though, I do wish this place wasn't so darn expensive for the quality items we get, but I guess I can understand since it's an expensive place to uphold. I'm still debating the season pass, but will probably come here again in the future!
It has good rides but many things are over priced like water and food. Like we wanted to buy a water and it was $5.45 I mean I can get a pack of thirty for the same price. But other than the price it was good.
Usually love this place but today was a bad day. About half the rides was closed, as was the food vedors. Most of the stafd was more worried about talking than doing their jobs. Took us 20 minutes to order ice cream...hopefully next time our experience is better. Pretty sad this was my daughter's first time.
We bought our membership prior to knowing. A lot of the rides are closed and the bathrooms are super disgusting. Also know the lines are long and the rides go down while you are in line a lot. The rides are fun when they are running.
This place needs to work on employee training and efficiency. I understand that you should expect to wait in line a lot at six flags, but if you watch the employees you realize they are moving with about half the speed and effort of the average McDonald's employee. Nobody knows how anything works or what direction a specific attraction is in, and they don't even pretend to be sorry about it.
Everyone always loves six flags. Its family friendly and so much fun. The only bad thing i could think of is, beware of hot days and be prepared to stand in heat.
So much fun!!! Really enjoyed the park. Wait times were not long. Riddler was closed the entire day. 4 stars because too many rides were having technical difficulties and being shut down while we were in line. Flash pass not purchased. Parking cost is ridiculous at $25. Disney doesn t charge that much! We brought our lunch and sat at the picnic area because food was expensive. Disney and Universal allow food into their park!! I am just saying. Also park is looking a little run down at the entrance.
The inlaws bought us season tickets so we used them to go to winter or holiday in the park. The kids had a great time and we spent many hours there. Plenty of rider that every age could enjoy. Even rides that I could enjoy with my back problems. We intend on going back in the warmer months.
Overpriced, under staffed, everything is sticky, lines are insanely long. Went there and was at the park for 5 hours literally had time to grab some food and ride 2 almost 3 rides.
Great day of fun with wife and kiddos ....got to ride everything in park with very little wait and never got thirsty with endless drink cup and half off almost everything with diamond platinum membership was amazing
Went here with a group of friends on a hit sunny Saturday. We started out with Mr. Freeze, which i would say was pretty amazing. Followed by all the major roller coasters like The Great Texas Giant, Runaway Mountain and The Titan. We ended our trip with Aquaman which was great after a hot sunny day. Even though the temperature that day reached 110 F, we all were super happy after a fun-filled day at Six Flags.
Six flags was the best the only thing I have to say is don't go when it is chilly and the lines were really long but I'm glad I got to experience it,it was my first time!
My 10 and 13 year old thoroughly enjoyed their first time at six flags. They rode just about every roller coaster in the park and enjoyed a number of shows. Food is a little on the expensive side, but a great way to save money is using Uber to get to the park and taking a ride out for food. I think you can get to everything in a single day, but only if you rush.
Was fun lines are sometimes long but if you find the best rides its worth it...the season pass is also worth getting get in cheaper and more than once. It also has its benefits based on the pass you get. I dont have flash Pass cuz im broke but i see others who do have it, having fun and you can get to rides faster, they make sure your hydrated in the park too with free cups of water and i highly recommend goinging for at least once and riding all the rides
So full disclosure we love SixFlags. I tell everyone there's not a better value for fun in the metro area, part of that is knowing when to go so that it won't be packed to the literal gills and instead going on the many times a year you can practically walk onto rides HOWEVER today was a VERY busy day and I fully believe they should have started turning people away at some point. We arrived at 10 and it was not very busy at all, we left at 2:30 when there was about a twenty minute wait for the dang bathroom, and there was still people pouring in the gates. It took a full thirty minutes to exit the parking lot, which had overflown into parking blocks away, where is there room for these people in the actual park when it's already full?!! This is insane, there must be some sort of cap for this. It's one thing to wait for a ride it's another to wait 30 to 45 minutes for a beverage or to use the restroom. The employees are always very friendly but just overwhelmed when it gets like this. They do it they can but they take a the brunt of the abuse from validly angry thirsty&hungry ( unlike Disney you can't bring food in :( ) overspent customers, not the managers/ owners who allow this to happen. If you spent 2 hours to get in and park why would you even proceed? When the parking lot is full that should be it. Yes people will be angry about that too but they will learn to arrive early when crowds are expected to be high. We have. Also there's no indoor shows going on and several rides closed. Not acceptable for spring break crowds. Still gave three stars because it's still a good park, just poor organization.
Fun, but not on a Disney level. The park is always busy and the best rides have the worst wait times. Bathrooms are kept clean, as is the park. Like any amusement park the concessions are over priced. Parking is pretty good. There is a little shuttle that runs sometimes... I never know when, and it doesn't go to the furthest parking lots. Security is good.
The Christmas light show is severely overrated. It's just a few lights strung up around the park and a little bit of a show at the end of the night. Nothing really special.
I hadn't been to Six Flags in some years but I took a friend for the first time. It was a blast. Lines were long today but we had an amazing time. The Joker and The Freeze were the highlights of the day. Didn't have time for the one everyone said was the best which was the Titan. We will be back! Justice League ride was also a good, less stressful ride.
This is a hard review. While we did have a lot of fun... there were alot of things closed and the water rides were most of them. Roaring Rapids was open but nothing else. During a Texas summer this is no good. Same shows each day, they are good, just need more variety. So many parts of the park are being updated.. kind of disappointing, and maybe something that should be done during the off season.
Needs more lights. Like a really good one for the train ride. It would be nice to have more days then just Fri sat and sun open. Please clean the bathroom more, thanks. The food is getting better except the pizza Think parking garage shades and for how many floors is times that in cars. Turn a few empty building in to cooling station. Just a few ideas.
Always packed and children running wild. Fun. Long lines and wait. If you have a pass it's worth it cause you will ride 1 or 2 rides. Spend more time waiting.
Great amusement park! Lines can sometimes be very long but that s only if you during busy season. I wish they had some more rides but other than that awesome park for price
Very enjoyable. When your over 50 it can make you feel like a kid again. UNTIL you get to a ride your just a lil to big to ride....then you remember your 50.....doing pretty good job with the Covid.
I wasn't sure what to expect visiting Six Flags during the pandemic, but by the end of my visit I was impressed. The park operates at limited capacity and requires a screening before entry as well as a mask. Parking spaces are blocked off to keep people from parking next to one another. There are hand sanition stations outside of every ride and also every few feet throughout the park. All of the food is packaged in to-go boxes and drinks are refilled with a new cup each time. Markers are placed on the ground for distancing while waiting in line and rides are functioning at limited capacity. All of these precautions allow for a person visiting the park to feel safe and have fun.
The place time and money forgot. Burgers at Johnny Rockets were disgusting, tasted like they were boiled somehow. Several broken rides. Rude service from several workers who have the I'm too good for this attitude. I've been to several amusement parks in other states and this has been the worst of the 5 parks in total I've been to. For a place that is located in Texas I expected more fans and features to allow you to cool off. Both bathrooms we have visited are small and outdated borderline disrepair. One being nasty according to the wife. Already have a season's pass but at roughly 90$ for a day pass seems they should be making enough money to freshen things up and fix some rides. Need some improvement to worker moral as well because the attitude is spilling over towards the customers. Doubt I'll get a season pass again for a while unless things improve.
It's pretty fun, their app helps with judging on which ride to go on next based on wait times. The staff were really nice and I love looney toons, so there's that.
This park requires you to remove personal items from your body before getting on a ride. My daughters had their cell phones credit cards personal information car keys stolen while a employee from six flags told them he would watch their stuff. After telling the employee that their stuff is not there, he said sorry I wasn't paying attention. The park says they are not responsible. It is kind of like any company that has a employee that does something wrong, you are responsible for that employee. We asked the security department of the park to look at the video and they refused and said they don't have to provide us that evidence. This park is run by thieves, good luck.
It's an all day event. Buy the straight to the front of the line pass. Please learn from our mistake - Seriously only way to go and not die from heat exhaustion.
Titan and Texas Giant closed at the same time huge waste of time, i show up right when it opens to skip the wait and instead i wait 2 hours to ride nothing. Fiesta texas has way better rides and shorter lines. Dallas is an embarassing city.
Lots of rides closed or temporarily closed. What s not closed has hour+ wait times. They have one turnstyle exit and even if you don t want your hand stamped to re-enter you re still forced to go through this unnecessary line (waiting for them stamp the hands of others) just to get out and start the mile walk back to your vehicle.
I love the rides, shows, food, characters and shops! My kids loved coming here when they were little as well as when they were teens. They have all worked here also and 2 are currently working here. The perks for employees are awesome!
I went for a school band trip, and may I remind Six Flags knows we're going. When it's time for us to go ride rides almost every ride is shut down. If you know that alot of middle school bands are coming at least make sure everything works. Better yet do that anyway.
What can I say, most people love amusement parks. I m not a roller coaster gal, but I go with the family anyway. We first went to six flags because our daughter was performing there. I love that Six Flags showcases local talent. It s fun to walk through the park and hear different kids of music!
We ended up getting season passes, which is nice because we can go for a little while without feeling pushed to do everything in one day. We ve been to Holiday in the Park which was super fun. Some days it s really busy and, without a fast pass, 90% your day will be spent standing in line. That s just how it is at amusement parks now days- so get the fast pass if you want to ride more than one or two things on a busy day.
Overall Six Flags is clean. They have lots of friendly staff, ready to help if you need anything and the park offers a lot of different options for the whole fam. It s easy to get to and parking is simple. AND they offer a bunch of options for season passes. Five Stars Six Flags
Exhilarating thrill rides! Try to come when the park opens and go STRAIGHT to Mr. Freeze or New Texas Giant. The lines will be crazy long if you wait until later in the day. Mr. Freeze unfortunately broke down after my friends and I waited for about an hour, but they got it up and running not long after. Great park. Only complaint is that the Johnny Rockets restaurant at the park is absolute garbage. Eat anywhere but there.
We have fun and love the rides, but the grounds and overall maintenance of the park are very poor. Instead of building the new Aquaman ride, invest in what you have now to make it better. I'm disappointed in how run down and dirty it looks every time we go. How can we even think about buying food here if you can't even keep your grounds cleaned up?
Always a great experience, and the price of the food/drinks inside is high, but not insanely high. Better than what I expected from a theme park. Make sure you've got the whole day because waiting in line for the big rides will eat it all up. Probably worth getting the fast pass to save the time. It's worth the extra to get better parking as well.
I usually present my dining pass on the season passes on my phone to the person at the front of the restaurant (All American) and they tell me to go ahead and the cashier also scans it off my phone. Today, when I went to do the same thing, an employee named Tredarrius Lucius refused to do it for me and claimed that I need a physical card when I have never had this issue before. I went to speak to the supervisor in which a lady named Urwber (who didn t have supervisor on her badge) was very rude and said the same thing and refused to give me her name the first time. I m very upset with the way I was treated because I always come here and everything is always smooth sailing. Very disappointed.
Six Flags is always fun. I've come nearly every year since I was young, even getting season passes. It's a great place to bring the kids, friends, or a date.
Fun, fun, fun for the whole family. We love holiday at the park best with all the hot chocolate, wassail and smores. The tree lighting and the cold. We just love to walk around and do the occasional ride as we have seasons passes which i recomend getting if you plan to go more than once. Also the pass covers all USA Six-flags parks. Very neat. Have fun.
Today was a good day. Not a lot of people there until about 1:00. They were doing a great job keeping sanitizing stations full and lines a moving. :) Enjoyed my mango habanero chicken tenders. So yummy! Wednesday Spring Break is not too bad. :)
Fun day in the Park. Rides were great and the corn dog was suprisingly good! It was beer fest day and there were some great draft samples. I really had a great time.
I fully recommend this place! My family and I have so much fun when we go there that when we leave, we're walking from side to side. It amazing! If you're planning on going there, I recommend the diamond card.
Save your money. While the cost has gone up, the quality has gone way down. The park isn't maintained well, like it used to be. It all seems old, dirty, and many of the buildings are closed down and just rotting away. The whole Looney Tunes theme has gone by the wayside, as well as the shows and other activities that used to take place. I signed up for a membership, having not been to Six Flags Over Texas in a few years....little did I know that they would refuse to let me out of the membership. I complied with their 12-month contract, remaining in the membership for 12 months, but then when I tried to cancel, (I put in the request over a month before my 12-month contract was set to end) I was told I will have to remain a member for a 13th month because they have a 45 day cancellation policy and I requested the cancellation 42 days in advance. That's interesting because their contract says you have to request cancellation two weeks prior to your final payment, which I certainly did. Also, be aware that you'll be spending hours and hours waiting in lines in the Texas heat, due to the Flash passes that every one is buying. Unless you're willing to shell out tons of $$$, you'll just stand in a non-moving line while everyone else pays to cut in front of you. And if you think "I'll just buy Flash passes", be aware that there are now three levels of Flash passes, so you have to spend even more to make sure you get to ride r you'll just get passed by "Flash Pass Gold" or "Flash Pass Platinum" holders. Six Flags will do anything to squeeze more money out of its customers these days. I have fond memories of this place as a child and even as a teenager, but it's no longer that same place anymore. Sadly, it's time to write this place off for good.
We ve had a membership for a year now. We ve been to Six flags over Texas several times during the past year and every time there are several rides closed. Today, we were on a ride which broke down midway through. We were stuck for ten minutes. Half of the restaurants were closed as well limiting options causing massive lines and wait time just to get food. Oh and on top of that a chicken strip basket is 13.99 . Six flags over Texas has gone down hill big time. It s as over priced as you can get and half the rides don t work. No matter when you go, be prepared to wait at least 45 minutes per ride and be ripped off for food. Save your time, energy and money. The fountains at the front entrance were off and completely dry. It s just been nothing but negative experiences here the past year. Perhaps Six flags over Texas needs new management or something.
One of my most favourite places to visit. I have been going to Six Flags for over ten years and I always enjoy the rides. I would always buy the season passes since a single ticket cost a lot. This year the season passes have been upgraded to a whole new level, insted of paying up front you can pay monthly for a reasonable fee and cancel any time.
