Very untrained haste, full of sarcastic young Mr Kevin, dirty room and unusual waiting times. Kevin's answer was "wait but you're not dead" :) pffff never go! I pay for their bills just for waiting and then dafalgan, which doesn't help!
I would advise people with a fracture of the hand or wrist to go to the hand clinic in Wilrijk, right next to St. Augustine. Those doctors specialize in hands and wrist. I myself had an incredibly nasty experience last year with a doctor orthopedist named Hendrickx. I had broken a finger while traveling and there in the hospital I was advised to have surgery once back in Belgium. I ended up with the aforementioned doctor who, however, put my hand back in and said that 'the shaft was not hit' so no problem, it would 'heal'. Luckily he was on leave when I was 3 and a half! weeks later had to go back for a check-up and went to doctor Thibaut who immediately saw after the cast was removed that this was NOT good. Finger was crooked and whole hand was stiff. He sent me to the hand clinic where I had surgery the next day. My "unhooked shaft" turned out to be a complicated, twisted and splintered fracture in the finger. (But they had already seen that on the photos of St. Vincentius or not ?!). The finger has been put back together with screws and bolts. And with 7 months of physical therapy as a result, 5 times a week. Because all the tendons of the fingers shorten when you don't use them and I had to learn to bend my fingers millimeter by millimeter again, resulting in a lot of pain. Plaster a 'nice fracture' (and waiting for it to heal) is not a problem, a nurse can do that herself, but not recognizing a complicated fracture and pretending it will all work out is downright scandalous for a doctor who has made it his specialty . The nursing staff on the service are the cream of the cream, very friendly and professional. Doctor Thibaut himself was also very correct.

Having to have the bile removed through emergency surgery. Surgeon thought it was urgent enough to "take me in" the same day. Started at 9 pm after the previous operation had delayed 5 hours. Very friendly man as well as the nursing staff. Understand those "1 star and if possible 0" reactions at all.

Terrible emergency unit. A patient at the risk of stroke was left poorly attended to and had to be rescued out of the hospital "against medical advice" before they killed her
My father with end stage pancreatic cancer was operated on for a biliary stent. The doctor had a lot of trouble to put this stent and the operation has weakened a lot. He was restless at night, so he was tied up like an animal! During this operation the surgeon pierced the colonist of my father who died a few days later ... Flee this hospital doctors and nurses are absolutely not competent. If we were not French, we would have sued them for serious medical malpractice.
I gave birth to three children and would not want to give birth anywhere else. Very satisfied with the maternity! Also very satisfied with the paediatrics department.

a member of my in-laws died this morning. Calling the hospital for further information where she was & was snubbed and made no effort to look up further information yet. After calling for half an hour on the phone, forwarded to intensive, friendly help on the phone. When we were going to say goodbye, TALLOZE doctors / nurses / students were screaming and laughing that we heard it in the room where we said goodbye. I do not recommend this hospital for EVERYONE!

In particular a lady with gray curls and blue eyes who did the night on the 5th v, ine or Ine and 2 blond men, and a lady of African origin, all nurses, they literally do everything they can to help you! Patient polite understanding of these nurses was nothing too much! They really make this hospital a TOP HOSPITAL, People who are sick or have help with an addiction, illness, anything please go to St. Vincent nursing and doctors are worth gold !!!!

In my opinion, one of the most pleasant hospitals I have been to. Very neat and clean to begin with. Very friendly and helpful ladies at the reception. And I can only recommend any doctor who has already helped me here! Doctor Elst, Doctor Geniets and Doctor Declau are top doctors and so I suspect that the rest of this hospital only has top people walking around! Keep up the good work!
With 3.5 centimeters opening, my girlfriend's shot refused. Letting her walk outside for 3 hours, they thought she could come back later. First epidural stabbed wrong and just can't believe the anesthetic didn't work. After urging, receive a 2nd epidural. The mess with your "natural delivery".

Can write a very long story, but wants the emergency department, not the entire hospital (no experience), but mainly to make the emergency department, not too many words. What an arrogant, unqualified people on emergency. Customer friendliness and service orientation is completely unknown here. Finally with sick daughter drove to hospital in Breda, where they put it right staff in the right place, to deal with patients with dignity and respect.
My friend just told me that in this hospital they once put a cast on the wrong foot to a patient so better double check with the doctor on which foot he is putting the cast!
Outrageous how they fool around here. If you want to call yourself a number as a patient, then definitely come here!

I had a FESS surgery here, the caring staff, the doctors, nurses and everyone I encountered was extremely professional, pleasant and did everything possible to take good care of me.

Emergency service: Urgencies are dealt with quickly, non-urgent matters sometimes have to wait. AS IT SHOULD! If you have to wait, this means that other patients need more urgent care and you don't have to fear for your life. Consult your own doctor or the doctor on duty for non-life threatening conditions and injuries.
Operation lungs, Doctors not a problem (were Doctors St. Augustine) Intensive no problem, Department 6th floor a disaster, I therefore filed a complaint as a nurse thought I should use my mind because my own fault I had Cancer was fine to hear from someone who doesn't know your background personally this department gets a big O from us

VERY RUDE EMERGENCY WORKER! (Blonde hair, moroccan girl i think) I came in explaining in detail what's wrong, she was very antagonizing and rude. Telling me I shouldn't just do what I want and follow the doctors orders making huge eyes at me as she was visibly mad for no reason. When I was waiting in the ER there was a girl waiting there aswell. This worker comes in and literally says "Fatima or something like that? You're next" who in their right mind talks like this let alone working in a hospital? I felt WORSE leaving the ER just because of the way this person treated people. Had the same situation with her when I brought my mom in when she felt very unwell few years ago. DON'T EMPLOY PEOPLE IN A HOSPITAL IF THEY ARE NOT QUALIFIED. You come in ER already stressed out and in pain and she acts like she's doing you a huge favor or something. If you don't like your job go work anywhere else but in a place where EMPATHY AND HELP are expected.

I fell on my wrist during snowboarding and I was in pain.
I was referred by my family doctor to any hospital for a scan on my wrist, and the St. Vincent Hospital was the closest in the area.
after a one-time visit, I was advised to wear a brace for the next 2 weeks, they knew that the scan showed that some bones had shifted.
After coming back 1 month later and not having experienced any difference, I was brutally told "yeah, sir, you only have one month in that tie, isn't it?"
On the recommendation, I kept the brace for another month and I went back because nothing had improved.
Then they took a 2nd scan and they knew that a bone was broken in my wrist, SO NOT THAT THEY WERE SHIFTED.
"wear the brace for only a month this will improve".
1 thing is for sure me they will never see them there again.
Modern hospital. Friendly nurses and staff. The parking spaces in the underground parking lot are very small. The parking lot also has a great feeling of insecurity. The cafeteria is small but cozy. There is also an outside terrace. The only 2 things left of the old hospital are the facade and the chapel.

Excellent hospital, recently a large part has been renovated. Do not forget to register at the machine if you have an appointment.
Almost lost a life while there. Courteous and polite, however Inexperienced and poorly informed professionals. They kept a neurologically impaired person under inadequate supervision and failed to consider relevant information regarding care and nutrition during the process of the emergency consultation.
Would only go back if I need a band-aid to be applied correctly and nothing more, out of fear of not making it back home!

BE CAREFUL! I wouldn't recommend this hospital! Except for one or two doctors in Pediatrics, the rest of the department is NOT trustworthy!
Head of pediatrics Dr. Kurxxxxa She wasn't able to diagnose the cleft palate my daughter had (After two days, struggling to feed her, Nurse found out!), they didn't guide us to the cleft team, no any advice, nothing! (We found all the help/info in Gent by ourselves).
One pediatrician Dr. Posxxt Who suppose to be specialized in nutrition, couldn't even diagnose Reflux my baby had, despite my warnings numerous time.
Another one Dr.Caldxxx Who made a check after birth, couldn't find out my daughter had extreme clotting, her color was purple. She said, " no problem, She is fine, just the result of fast birth." Two days after that statement, my baby was taken to Intensive care in another hospital because there is no ICU in the pediatrics!
Then Dr.Jonxx responded me like i am an idiot, when i said that " i understand the points, but i want to take my daughter home" his response was "do you understand!?".
If i was still living there, i was going to sue the hospital staff. Just terrible! i wouldn't recommend to anyone! Except for the pediatrician Dr. DeMulxxx. He is the best among to them. Fast diagnose, careful and comprehensive. Because of his cautious check, my daughter got saved. Otherwise, she was going to have fatal results. Except him, i wouldn't recommend this department and the hospital's extreme overcharge if you give birth there.
Otherwise, take your baby to Sint-Augustinus: Full of good doctors with ICU in case.

Loved giving birth here! Very friendly staff. Minus 1 star, because there was no airconditioning, not even in the hallways, so it was extremely hot.
Our 99-year-old mother was admitted to the orthopedics department after a hip fall and fracture. After consultation with the orthopedist, it was decided to perform surgery. Before surgery, these patients are screened by the geriatric department. My sister and I were invited for an interview because of the deteriorating situation. We were allowed to watch our mother's room outside of visiting hours. The nursing staff regularly came to ask if we wanted something to drink.
Afterwards had a conversation with Dr. Chong Yie Man, geriatrician. Very sweet and competent doctor. She patiently explained to us what the options were and took more than her time. A very sweet person full of empathy. Despite the impending end of mother a very positive experience was left over.

Yesterday had a small operation at Dr 'Cha ban. Helped for the first time in this clinic and am very satisfied. Very friendly and helpful staff from registration to leaving the hospital. Had a nurse in the hallway (Freddy) who gave us a good explanation of how everything was going from the start. Who came to give an extra look before his shift was done. Badly organised. Solid or better staff is overshadowed by staff who have left their energy, heart and will to "care" at home. Files will be included in the next report without any further inquiries. Prejudices are great. Too many mistakes and misdiagnoses in some departments. 2 stars, because others do not accept the "norm" and continue to fight against the dead.
A very rude and unprofessional mouth jaw and facial surgeon who was half an hour late due to traffic jams and precisely because of this he did not want to explain the procedures to me. "I can't give an explanation of half an hour in 5 minutes". The entire system is a bit too focused on delivering money instead of providing assistance. Woman was sent home after a major accident because the surgeon was not there for a week. Needles from baxters etc were still in her arm when she came home. When I called to the hospital, I was transferred to a number where no one answered.

Yesterday we made a spontaneous short trip to Belgium The joy was unfortunately not long lasting. I stumbled and supported myself while falling with my hand. Immediately I realized that something had happened. Hellish pain and it got thicker by the minute. So we drove to the hospital. It was immediately taken care of me. And not just a doctor, but I had a total of four or five. The X-ray was then found to be broken. So I got a plaster. I was in the hospital for exactly 58 minutes. I have never had such a quick treatment in Germany !!! Since they can really cut off a slice of this. Simply great !!!

I am writing this report for someone else. Nursing and Doctors is OK. The food they serve to the patient may really be improved, I have seen and tasted it several times. To satisfy the hunger, I brought food for her .I do not expect a 3-star menu. But expect that in a hospital powders to make soup, may be left behind. Many food that was served at first sight looked really unpleasant ...
Emergency department an outright disaster. My grandmother spent 8 hours there without thorough investigation. She is 88 years old, the waiting times are disproportionate. The feeling with man zero comma zero. I went to get her and brought her home. They would let people down because of the long wait. As well as communication throughout the hospital is very bad. This is a hospital that I don't want to recommend to anyone. No, never again !!!!!
This Hospital like many others only care about how much money they can collect out of patients and Insurance ..They make you do a dozen of unnecesary tests and want you to stay at the Hospital to do more and more tests..I could google my syntoms and get a quicker and more accurate diagnosis that these doctors ...Im sure that many patients go to the Hospital with the same symtons so they should know more accurately the problem and should recommend only the necessary test to confirm but intead all they care is about the money they can get...
I had to do a buch of test just to be told by the very uncaring doctor "I dont see anything on the test so I cant Help you" My God I was so much in pain not even take an Aspiring or something ...Silly me did not think of googling my syntoms Thank God I did and finally found a better diacnosys to my problem ..

1 of the few hospitals in the city center of Antwerp with recognized emergencies. Modern hospital with American JCI quality label. Near the hospital there is a GP emergency post where you can quickly go with your "emergency" during the weekend. If necessary, the doctor will refer you to the emergency department of the hospital where you have priority.
