Nice hotel but a guy in hotel reception extremely rude came to collect someone and asked him if they where here in which he threw his eyes up to heaven and huffed and cursed under his breathe then proceeded out to the lobby area to find this person! No need for it!

Busnisse party organized by hotel itself. Organisation side was more or less fine, but the service is very bad. We had three different bars and on every single one was different price, what doesn't make any sense as we had vouchers provided by company. One guy was extremely rude, in white shirt, I think he is manager or something, small Indian guy. Wouldn't recommend.

Staff were nice but processes let them down. There wax a reasonable buffet for Breakfast but it was chaotic with no glasses, cutlery, bowls etc. Had dinner there ladt night. No wine list..only 3 whites to chose from. Food was ok. Fish cakes were dry. Checked out and reception couldn't even be bothered to ask how the stay was. Expensive for what we got.

Great location, nice clean rooms ( the standard rooms are even high quality, you have all you need and very convenient), great breakfast, nice bar, very helpful and welcoming staff. There is a little park just across the road and down a little towards the city. Close to a bus stop and on the right side of the railway station.

HORRIBLE!!! No A/C rooms smelt disgusting. Had white stains all over the carpet. No phone in the room to even call other guests. The windows barely open, plus no air conditioning so you re stuck with a weird moldy smell all night. Checked in and had people next to us complaining, we should have realized then that this place was a disaster. Will never ever book again and honestly would not even suggest this to my worst enemy!

Staff at reception and in the bar were friendly and very welcoming. Food was beautiful; however staff at breakfast was a different story. Clearly didn't want to be there and I had to follow up several times in relation to a request for pastries and in the end did not receive any even though the table beside us got some. It was a perfect location for us as we had an event on in The Marquee. The room was lovely apart from the eye sore outside the window due to construction work.

We had the pleasure of staying here for a weekend. From the moment we arrived we found the hotel to be excellent.
The warm welcoming staff at reception directed us to a very spacious bedroom. Bed was super comfy bathroom had separate bath and shower.
All staff we met were very friendly and helpful. Whether it was for us at the bar or serving us out delicious meals and the lovely breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble.
Will definitely be returning.

The rooms are well laid out and very comfortable. Good value buffet breakfast, with a great selection of foods. Bar prices are reasonable. Only issue we had was that reception was not over friendly on the day we stayed, this could of been because we arrived directly from setting up an event and we arrived as a group. Apart from this everything else was perfect.

We stayed at the springs hotel last night. On arrival reception staff were very friendly. We booked table in the gallery restaurant, we waited 20 minutes before anyone came to us to take our order. Once we ordered we waited another 20 minutes before our drinks came. We had to call the waitress to see what was happening. She was very nice & apologised saying order was not put through. We were not charged for the drinks because of this. Our food was awfull so much that we asked for our money back this morning for breakfast we had payed for on checking out & went into town instead for
breakfast. So dissapointing when you get a night away & this happens.
Beds very comfortable.

It's a place to stay. Not a 4 star by a long shot, but clean and good food. Breakfast is great with real sausage and bacon instead of the wafer this stuff, and the bread is fresh every morning. Beds are the usual hotel stiffness with the pillows reminiscent of sleeping on rolled up jeans. View from the 2nd floor is somewhat lacking, either the other side of the hotel, an opel garage or if you crane your neck enough the river across the industrial estate.

Nice venue. Overly warm but have to allow for the fact that we have heatwave at present. Parking was not adequate for the number of seminar attendees. Food was adequate but nothing to write home about.

Good

Had the most amazing stay at this hotel from start to finish from the staff been so kind and friendly to the food been 5 star quality. Can't wait to book and stay here again on our next break in the heart of cork city. I'd recommend this hotel if you want to have a fantastic break away 5 stars all the way especially for the staff

Very disappointed, not fussy with hotels but found this one very poor. Had to order a meal worth over 9 each just to have an alcoholic drink, food menu very poor, came back from the city at 8pm and wanted to book a table for food and a few drinks and it was fully booked up, after paying 120 to stay in the hotel and unable to use its ACTUAL facilities. Understandably the virus resticts services but they had half of the lounge closed off for no apparent reason, will not stay again.

Over expensive. 275 for sat night 2adults 2kids, kids had camping bed. Room was clean but awful smell throughout the corridor. Toilets near restaurant were absolutely horrid. Staff couldn't do enough, the food was incredible. Good and bad experience.

My husband and I stayed at the Silver Springs hotel recently for four nights as it was the base for our tour around Ireland. The hotel is sited just on the edge of the city and spectacular views are enjoyed from the rooms at the front. Hotel is modern, clean, tidy and the lift has just as an amazing view. Our room was large with a huge double bed and a clinically clean en-suite. We enjoyed a good night s sleep each night and the breakfast on the following morning had much available from the buffet bar. Staff were friendly and helpful. Evening meals were tasty also. Complimentary newspapers were available at the desk. We enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in recommending the Silver Springs!

Avoid the 3rd Floor at all cost! They have a conference room / ball room on this floor and on the night of Saturday to Sunday, at 3.30 am there was still drunk laughter and huge amounts of noise in the corridors - no respect for those attempting to sleep! The lift's floor was in desperate need of a vacuum and the floor in general was not clean. Next day at breakfast had to "hunt" for a clean plate to use, they all had what appeared to be greasy fingerprints which made me doubt how they wash these dishes. I notice this has shown up in previous reviews yet nothing has changed.
The (irish) breakfast had no taste at all, the coffee seemed recycled with added water... Front desk at reception made no reference of amenities at check-in neither explained what time and where breakfast was served, had to find out for myself! Disappointing experience...

Stayed at the Clayton in Cork city recently with my husband for our 10 year wedding anniversary. They upgraded our room on arrival and staff went above and beyond -so attentive, helpful and friendly. They give a whole new meaning to the word hospitality!
Everything about our experience with the Clayton was top-notch! I highly recommend it and I'll definitely book again for my next trip!

My wife and I take a short break at this time of year to celebrate a birthday and shop for Christmas. We are both retired and have to look for value. We asked to upgrade our room and the receptionist was so helpful offering us a superb room at a very reasonable price. This made our stay, we were so well treated and not squeezed for more money. The bigger room made our break a special one having the space to sit and relax when we wanted peace and quiet. Thank you so much and to all the staff who worked so hard in a very busy environment. We will have a Clayton Hotel on our priority list when taking a break again. Regards Gerard

2 Night Stay. Had Tivoli Suite. Fabulous Room. I believe it is a family suite. Room had a seating area, dressing area. 3 Bed 1 queen size bed and 2 single. Large bathroom. Tea & coffee making facilities in the room it was a very busy hotel that weekend due to a concert and they had 2 coach loads of people. Friendly staff. Lovely Food. Location was good just a short Taxi ride away.. believe it is apprx 3km from Cork City. Would highly recommend.

I travel all over southern Ireland and stay in a lot of places.
This is my favourite hotel and the location of it only drives that point home. Easy access to an awesome city of Cork with a lot of choices for things to do.
Although the restaurant at the hotel makes it easy to just stay in.
Great place and I stay here often.

A really nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel was exceptionaly clean and all the covid protocols were in force. The only reason I didn't score this highway the rooms were stifflingly hot which made it hard to sleep. There was no aircon but they did leave a desk fan in the room.

It is about a ten minute drive from the center of Cork, but it is very good. Like our Spanish hotels. Also, of all the ones we have been to Ireland it has been the cheapest, I suppose because of being so far away. Breakfast is quite expensive, about twelve euros. The room is large, the bed comfortable and a great bathroom. The only thing that I see bad is that it does not have a shower with a tube, only the shower head attached to the wall. Everything quite clean. They offer personal hygiene products. And you have an iron with your board, a hairdryer and the famous kettle for tea or coffee. For a night on the road it's great.

Pros - Friendly staff. Good location. Lunch/Dinner from the restaurant was excellent.

Cons - Musty smell in corridor (room 209). Needs a facelift - look at the lift. Breakfast very poor and not 4*. Would expect a full buffet, not just a poor continental buffet.

Swimming pool is no where near the hotel. It's at least a 10 minute walk up a very steep hill. We weren't told this at all before we headed off. When we finally got to the pool we found out it is a competition pool so is kept colder than normal - it was freezing. We couldn't stay in for more than 10 minutes. Our 6 year old was shivering by the time we got out.

The family room that we booked was miniscule. Barely enough room for the double and single bed.

I would advise people to look elsewhere for a hotel. Very unsatisfactory experience. Especially for the price.

Waiting service in restaurant is appalling, sat and took a table in restaurant, waited for 15 minutes so decided to ask for a menu, waited a further 15 minutes and no staff asked me what I would like for dinner then had to walk to bar for a drink and also order my food, was totally ignored by staff for some odd reason.
