We had a great xmas party there. Great music good food. Brilliant time had by all

Took half an hour to get into our room as key wouldn't work in the door and we had to constantly keep going up and down the reception to fix the problem.. ladies on reception just scanned the card didn't apologise or acknowledge that there was a problem. Went for bar food and waited an hour to be served our food. Again the waiter didn't apologise or acknowledge that we had been waiting a long time to be served our meal.. very expensive weekend for very bad service

My recent visit was for the Rockwell Hotel & Catering College event on Sunday 20th. Check in was good, room excellent, the Bar/Lounge service very good. The RHS event was Excellent. The delivery of Food and Beverage service was fantastic, the atmosphere was brilliant and a lovely layout of the room. Everyone are to be commended for the fantastic event, with excellent execution and delivery.
Special note of thanks to each and every person on duty over the weekend, you all did a fantastic job. We were all proud to have our event at The Clayton Siliver Springs and will of course be delighted to recommend you, your teams and the Hotel. Thank you all.

Nice big family room stayed there to go to fota wildlife park.

Carpet was stained with vomet , my shower was broke and they said they would get someone to fix it , after they fixed it we couldn t use it as we could not turn down the temperature, for 120 a night it was a disaster. No air conditioning in our room , staff were very busy in the lobby and que times were long . Most of the tv channels were fuzzy . Vending machine only took card and had friends staying in another room and they had same problems .

I found the hotel staff to be extremely helpful, friendly and courteous. I was disappointed by the appearance of the hotel - particularly externally but also internally. The refurbishment works made the hotel unattractive, and had not been flagged in advance. I had an evening meal - the starter and dessert were fine but the main was disappointing as it wasn't as described on the menu. This was responded to well by the staff person I spoke with.
The conference centre was set up as requested and all facilities provided as requested. The participants were also happy with the experience.

Very decent hotel, looked after myself & family very well when we stayed here...no hesitation about going back again

Lovely hotel with a friendly atmosphere and great breakfast. Rooms have great space in them and bed is very comfortable.

I do alot of travelling around the country and it can be hard to find somewhere which ticks all the boxes. Clayton Hotel Silver Springs does for me and the staff there could not be more accommodating and helpful.

Went to the Jobs Expo fantastic Hotel worth the visit.

Very nice looking entrance and immediate furnishings. For the price they charge per night apart from this it is very average in overall standard. Hallways and rooms are dated. They are totally acceptable. We checked in in a quite Sunday night and were given a room at the back over looking the old staff canteen/coffee room. They have left old furniture that is dated and worn and mixed with modern furniture in the bar that looks rather strange. Staff are super pleasant and really lovely. Might do with a bit more training.

Fantastic hotel, nice and relaxing. Room was very comfortable. Breakfast very tasty. Would highly recommend staying here. Excellent location. Everything perfect from arriving to leaving.

Attended work conference good venue !very easy access to motorway

Stayed here for a short time. Get renovated room. Room as far as clean. Beds comfortable. Tub with shower curtain in a 4 star hotel? Hotel on highway which unfortunately also at night hear. Breakfast okay.

Very clean. Staff helpful. Had dinner which was very reasonable and very tasty.

Breakfast excellent, staff excellent, dining area staff left a lot to be desired. Slow, unattentive and really didn't care whether you were served or not. Check in fast and courteous. Room excellent. Pity dining staff don't take a leaf out of other staffs book.

The ballroom is beautiful but the food is terrible....

Can t recommend The silver springs Clayton hotel enough. The staff were incredibly helpful and nice. Bedroom was beautifully decorated and spotless clean. A great selection of breakfast . Great location a 5 min taxi drive to the city centre and 15mins from CUH. Travelled to cork from Mayo whilst my mum was in CUH for the week , the hotel staff couldn t of been more helpful .Thank you silver springs for such a comfortable stay . I will definitely be booking again .

We had a lunch here while watching the All Ireland final. The staff were lovely and the food was so full of flavour. Very relaxed atmosphere and we will call in again for sure.

Lovely family hotel just 5mins outside cork city. Confy beds, family room had 2 double rooms in it. Kids club too. Only downfall is no pool as leisure centre under different management. Could recommend hotel to others

I have traveled near and far and have to say from start to finish one of the worst hotels i have ever stayed in. The receptionist couldn't grasp the booking. Found it under a different name, nothing to do with us. No idea about breakfast not told. The key card wouldn't work to get in and as we found out that afternoon and night it failed to work 4 times! Not told anything about leisure centre. The room was bright and clean however net curtain torn, window handles broken, mouldy window sashes, bathroom door did not close at all ! The shower dial was turned with a wood screw.
Lunch food was OK ordered wine, the glass was filthy, not just dirty, but filthy!!!! How the waitress didn't see is beyond me. Stay here again aah... no! On check out were not even asked did we enjoy stay but left a comment card for review.

Attending the Water Conference again. Always a high standard...

This hotel is nice looking inside but the staff seem they couldn't be bothered.

The quality of this hotel is superb. Staying here was a nice experience. The staff is kind and helpful. Great place.

I gave a wee stay to a recently wed couple as a wedding gift. As it happens a few issues arose that annoyed both myself and the couple in question. I did make a complaint and this morning I received a phone call from Tracey and an apology plus a nice gesture gift wise. Suffice to say everything is now sorted and I am very happy.

Lovely hotel, great location and great that it has a free car park for it's customer's. I would recommend it

Beautiful hotel and convention centre, I enjoyed a lovely roast beef and veg dinner here and the portions were big.

Always had a nice stay here, food, beds, staff all top notch.

Have stayed here a few times for work. Clean and friendly, great breakfast.

Xmas parties and One person serving at bar at Downstairs bar. Queing for a drink on an Xmas party night. Flat, rotten coors light in a Murphy s glass. Had to send it back. Got a replacement as bad in a Heineken glass. Upstairs at bar felt like we were annoying them by ordering drinks. Under staffed and terrible attitude. Never go here.

Lovely comfy beds, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Food very greasy would have expected cleaner for 4star..in particular the high chairs.

I have to say it was disaster the Friday night in bar but much better organized for the Saturday night.
Only for I had promised daughter a lovely weekend away i would have cancelled one of the nights stay as I found the price I paid for the Saturday night stay at 179 absolutely shocking I won't be fooled again .

Room was ok but when your paying nearly 400 for 2 nights it would want to be get your head out of the clouds when charging this price. There was absolutely no staff on Friday night working in bar bar staff at logger heads with each other food ridiculously slow in coming out. I don't know if there was lack of communication on whose behalf but Friday let you down big time. Saturday much improved but then not as big of crowd we were served by Tomaz who was spot on in second us and very friendly to us at all times but same could not be said for Noel who was working bar Friday night. Breakfast both mornings was fab staff very friendly
As for the conference centre where competitions were held I looked for a bottle of water to buy as was going to be there for hours and no you could NOT buy a bottle of water Saturday cans of minerals yes but no water
Security and car park attendants nice and friendly.

Hopefully you'll take what I have said on board and get your head out of the clouds with the Saturday pricing and a more organized well staffed bar/food well then you could be on the right path.

Stayed 1 night 6th February. Staff very attentive. Room clean. Bed very comfortable.
Was not impressed when I went to hotel bar that evening for some food and to watch the football on TV. To be met by a sign that the bar was closed for a private function.
Have never heard of a hotel public bar being closed to hotel guests. Ate in a small annex room which had people outhide waiting to be seated to eat. I was back in my room by 8.30.
I was not impressed by this.

The two night stay was the worst we ever had faulty shower booked family room got a room with a double bed and a single bed only two of everything in the room the menu choice was very poor

I was staying in silversprings hotel for a convention this weekend. Lovely hotel and amazing facilities. My bedroom was so comfortable and clean. Breakfast was huge and delicious.

Service was very bad and when we eventually got our soup it was cold ..coffee was awful

No air-con, rooms very hot and stuffy.. child locks on all windows so couldn't open them enough for air

stood up to every glowing review I have read about this hotel..I have no criticism to offer.Price,very reasonable.We bought the breakfast through reception. which was more than enough to keep us going till lunch.The other super result,was the lunch selection ,almost enough for dinner. Great location, free parking,which,if,like us you were staying for a couple of nights, males a big difference.Excellent friendly and helpful staff,helped make our stay in Cork one of the best on our holiday.

We are regular guests in the Silver Springs and can honestly say we cannot fault it in any way .From the time we check in ,it is always so welcoming and friendly .As our stays are always Hospital visits ,we always find the reception staff are very aware that we need a quiet and always look after us .

Clean rooms and comfortable beds with quiet surroundings. Watch out that you will need to order a taxi 40 to 50 minutes earlier in peak times to get to the city center. Also the restaurent closes at 10 so if you're arriving late and need to eat you're out of luck

I had a good stay except fir a few little things.

On checking in I was not told that there was only 50 aloud in the dining area for breakfast. When checked I booked breakfast booked fir 9.30am the following day I was told there where no time slots only times between 7am and 8am but when I asked for the money back the restaurant manager said he would fit me in at 9.30am. I
If I was told or given notice that this would be a problem I would have booked the 2 days breakfast together..

In the scenic lift looking through the glass i noticed a load of dead flies on the six floor. More than 80 This is not acceptable in these times.

You have 2 disabled parking bays which seems anyone can park in the day I arrived there was a black Bentley the next day there was a work van from TMI " traffic management installations. Which is not acceptable in my opinion maybe the staff could keep a eye on this matter.

Very nice hotel with great public areas, and friendly staff. Location is a 25 minute walk to city centre, however there is a regular bus service (221)which you can catch a few minutes walk away. There is a leisure centre with pool but this is not in the hotel complex, but is an uphill walk of perhaps 5minutes. Loads of free parking on site.

Really enjoyed our weekend break in Cork and the Clayton Hotel Silver Springs played a big part in that. Room had everything we needed and we had a great night's sleep in a very comfortable bed. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Really nice breakfast buffet with plenty of delicious healthy options as well as traditional cooked breakfast.

How many crazy complains does it take to come up with such suggestion for a shower...

No central air so if it's warm the rooms get stuffy. The breakfast is fantastic and the beds are comfy

We have been told on reception that we have one of the best rooms in hotel, very popular for new married couples and so on. Unbelievable experience. Not Recommended to anyone! In my life experience this was the worst hotel I ever see! Very, very bad! Holiday to Cork was destroyed! Periods blood on bed from previous guests.Also human feces was on the toilet wall. Dirty everywhere, water tap broken. Worker refused to clean twice. Very good and sensible Manager-not his fault. Understand all complains and fully refunded. And I highly recommend to take away picture of swimming pool, because you don't have one! How you get so many good reviews?-FAKE!

Very nice place with plenty of space . Just had drinks,Bar Staff were excellent.
