My daughter came here on a class field trip and had an amazing time. She loved the train rides and petting zoo the most. We came here last year with my sister's and the older kids loved the corn maze and the big jump zone trampoline built in the grown! I also love that it's a TRUE pumpkin patch. You can actually go pick your own! The food is also great here if you decide to have lunch there! Hopefully we will be able to go again as a family bc it truely is a great family time here!

Had an amazing time at this farm. Service was so great and friendly. Everything is set out greatly. Love the family friendly environment. Good selection of pumpkins and things to do. Love the shacks with the seasonal treats and gift shops. Got to pick a pumpkin fresh during the rainy day. Hayride was so cool going out into the corn maze. The price is right. Marvelous time.

Forget social distancing and masks. They don't enforce it nor they limit the amount of people inside. The farm was packed. The lines to order food, people were breathing above their shoulder from one another - that's how packed and close everyone was from each other. Large crowds not wearing masks, no signs to wear face mask at all. Other farms have limits on people going in and even schedules. Not here. We stayed no more than 25 minutes then we got the hell out of there. It looks like a place where kids would have a lot of fun but not safe during a pandemic at all.

Waste of time, literally.

Waste of time, literally.

Every year we go to a different corn maze, unfortunately this year we picked a bad one. It had rained a lot in the days leading up to us going so I did what any intelligent person would do and called that morning to make sure the corn maze (really the only thing we go for) was open and not flooded. The girl I spoke to on the phone said that the corn maze was open but a bit muddy so enter at your own risk. Once everyone who had taken off work that day to go with showed up at my house we started the 45 minute drive. We pulled into the parking lot and were met by an irritated parking attendant. We didn't want to park in the mud in order to keep the car clean. Not a problem since many spaces close to the entrance were mud free. The parking attendant however did not care to much and forced us to park in muddy water. While we were grabbing our stuff out of the car and getting ready to go in we heard this lady treating multiple people very poorly. She even yelled at a lady with a service animal because dogs are not allowed. They lady explained that her dog was a service animal but the attendant replied with, no dogs allowed. After seeing about four people mistreated we walked up to the entrance where we saw a sign stating that the corn maze was closed. I explained that I had called ahead to insure it was open but someone was just mistaken, sorry. At that point we started to try and find another corn maze which we did at Keller's Farm Stand in Oswego. Keller's was only $9 to get in which included everything, it wasn't crowded at all, and every employee we met was very nice and helpful. Take a pass on Siegel's and find a better place to go, you will save money and time.

My family and I had a great time! Our kids ages 1-6 didn't want to leave. The fresh apple doughnuts are phenomenal. I would just say go on the weekends, because we found that nearly nothing was open on the weekdays. None of the restaurants or the doughnut shop. The Cornmaze, and other attractions were closed as well. Great way to enjoy the end of summer.

Besides the farm being rained out and the crops destroyed from the weather. It was an okay place for kids. Plenty of slides and many other things for kids to do for entertainment. For adults there is not much entertainment except (eating). But the haunted house that open later in the night is definitely worth the visit.

Probably time for owners to call it a day and close down. When we went last fall it was run down, dirty, disorganized and by the way the older staff(owners maybe?) were treating people, it's also being badly micromanaged.

was ok. nothing special. not as good as other family pumpkin farms in chicagoland area, but we were able to get in without pre-purchased tickets during times of COVID. Mostly for smaller children ages 2-8. Availability of food and drinks was bad. Long lines, not much to purchase and high prices. The farm store wasn't very good either - not much there and boring. If you have low expectations and kids under the age of 8 and eat lunch before you go - this place is ok. Otherwise not recommended.

Not very happy with some staff. We are grandparents and took our 2 grandsons. When we went up to pay and get tickets as we had a 2 year old and a 5 year old. As it was stated on the big orange sign grandparents free with a paying child. So when I told her that she said it would be $23 I was stun as when I was there 2 yrs ago. We didn t have to pay. She said on grandparent with one paying child. I paid but was not happy. A lot of the wooden play stuff needs a good up grade school bus had a lot of lose wood. Same as the wooden train and the wooden swing set and walking board swing. The boys did enjoy their self on the slide and the oldest liked the zip line and youngest the jumping pillow. When we there 2 yrs ago we had done the hayride out to pick pumpkins. So then we decided we were really to go. We seen another change to get out you had to walk though a store where they sell different kinds of stuff, so we looked around and boys wanted a couple of treats so when I went to pay for them I was asked if I was buying the pumpkins. My husband said what we went out to field to get them so there free. Was told no they are 48 cent a pound. I said no I paid for the treats and left. From now on Bankston s pumpkin farm. Even during the week they have a lot more food and drink open. Siegel s only 1 place....

Great value! The price is quite reasonable considering that there are so many options to keep the kids thoroughly entertained. I also enjoyed the food. I recommend the chicken and waffles, Turkey leg, corn and a bucket of fries with cheese sauce for dipping. I also benefited from the Veteran discount so maybe I'm a bit bias.

Was apprehensive about going to a farm during this pandemic however I took a chance taking my daughter to Siegel s. I m glad that I did as I felt completely safe and my daughter had in her words an outstanding time. There was a lot for her to do for a few hours and the safety precautions were in place. Hand washing and hand sanitizer stations throughout and about 99% of the people had on mask. The small % that did not have in mask, it didn t bother me as they were distanced from other people. As the day progressed it got a little busier but not to the point of over crowded.
I will return.

Poor experience at best. Not worth the extravagant prices charged. Don't try to use the dual admission/food local value coupon online without printing. Expected to use food coupon for $5 off, but needed to print it. Nowhere on coupon does it say it has to be printed, only presented, and the admission is only available to redeem online. Very deceptive. Owner says, "We've been doing this for 5 years, you're the first to complain." Apparently, she is not in tune w/the digital age. Great customer service. NOT! Terrible end to what could have been a decent day.

Love that they treat the horses with such care. But beyond that there is not much this place has to offer for entertainment. A lot of the stuff is clustered together. With the price being so very very high for what they have to offer, N just abt everything that is not the playground is an additional fee. The hayride was okay, seeing that we had to ride the whole way through slush. We decided to take a look at the pumpkin patch, biggest mistake, they should had notified costumers that the pumpkin crop was destroyed by water. So we ended up standing out on the field waiting for a hayride that had enough space to take us back. Will definitely not be coming back and I do not recommend. They need better communication with costumers to let them know what they are paying for.

Omg. Made the biggest deal about bringing the soda I was drinking in. Was planning on spending probably over $80 between rock climbing, lunch, funnel cakes, pumpkin, a pie and was planning on spending $20 on jar goods to use my $5 off coupon. Although we have not eaten lunch yet we will do our best to not spend another cent due to the over zealous energy expended by staff to make sure I did not bring my 16 oz soda in. Thank you staff for starting my visit off in such a friendly manner. Any suggestions for better pumpkin patches around? Pretty sure I am done with this one.

Very unorganized and unfriendly. Most of the things there are very dirty and the staff is really rude. Ive seen workers getting treated very poorly and having things yanked from there hands. Ive seen a younger worker walking out crying. Im pretty sure its supposed to be a family experience but i can't stand seeing older staff basically bullying the people they hire. I can not stand this place anymore. My friend also worked there and said that they are very underpaid, and they would get sent home early for the purpose of not having to pay them a full day. Its sick seeing the owners say their main goal is to be friendly but being so rude to their employees. Also I understand its outside but how dirty and how many bugs can a place have. This is the worst pumpkin farm i have ever visited.

Fair type foods, I mean food you would find at a fair which we love! A lot of play places for the kids, and a free sports zone, nice wide open outdoor spacing, plenty of hand sanitizer everywhere, super friendly staff. Adult beverage stations throughout the farm. We had a GREAT time my wife and kids loved it. Also we went 6 years ago and they added a lot of great improvements.

Wish I could give zero stars. I have an autistic daughter so we signed up for their special needs day. They could not find our name on the list so they said we only would be allowed in under general admission. We had no problem paying the fee but that was not the point. My daughter has sensory issues and can not last very long in certain situations hence why we signed up for the special needs day. I am sick to my stomach of how we were treated. If you look at my daughter you would not be able to tell she is autistic. Not sure if that had anything to do with thier decision but it definitely should not. I would not recommend this farm to anyone. Now I have to try to explain to my 5 year old autistic daughter why we are not going to the pumpkin farm that we planned on going to for over a week. She is in tears.

Please spare me your sad attempt at an apology. It was my choice not to attend due to your customer service. If you truly cared, you would have made it right. Not sure if it the error in the registration process was on our end or yours but that truly should not matter. Once again it was not about the money. I would have gladly paid but I chose not to give my money to you because of the way we were treated. The only reason you are replying is trying to save face.

The place is just ok. If it wasn't overpriced I'd give them 4 solid stars. There are a lot of additional charges for "extras" and I don't think is fair. Food is also expensive. My 4 years daughter liked it, but grownups will be bored of they won't spend additional $15 to shoot zombies...

I was very hesitant to go to a Pumpkin Farm in these crazy times, however I'm SO glad I did. Siegel's did a amazing job making sure all patrons were wearing a mask except when eating or drinking. I felt super safe with my kids while out there. They had tons to offer the kids for a great price. I even purchased the bounce back tickets for us to return before the season in over. I can't wait to come back again!

Have been coming here for years and sadly we will not be returning. Went to the hot apple cider donut stand to order a dozen hot donuts. Cashier said there will be a 15 minute wait. Fine, no problem at all. Came back 15 minutes later ordered our donuts and paid for them. Cashier said it will be an additional 5 to 7 mins minutes. We waited 15 mins, no donuts. We asked how much longer it would be and she said they are having a problem with the fryer so she doesn't know how long it would be so we asked for a refund. Cashier said she could not give us a refund and we would have to wait. We asked if she could call someone that could assist her in giving us our money back. She told us to step aside so she could take care of customers behind us. I informed her that we are her customer and that we have now waited 30 mins and we would like to be taken care of first. She called security so we explained to security what was happening, she walked us over to someone that was able to refund our money but then stated we were to leave immediately..basically we were kicked out. Security apologetically said we were to leave because we refused to leave the window until we were helped.

This was my first time ever coming here, bringing my daughter and niece here. Everything was closed expect one food stand, that the food look like it was left out the night before. My family and I didn t have a good time. Flys everywhere. In the barn they had this very high pitch sound that was annoying just sitting there trying to eat the food. My sister-in-law and I took a picture in their photo booth by the front entrance and it took our money and kept our pictures. My sister-in-law was talking to someone that work there and they did absolutely nothing, told them to put up a sign and we were told if it happens again then they will. Ok, so let it continue taking people s money. We will not be back to visit this pumpkin patch again ever!

It is the worst place to take 3 kindergarten class...

It is the worst place to take 3 kindergarten classes. Not only do you have to endure a guided tour, they have you go to the Farmer Paul's classroom. It is agonizingly painful to watch 75, 5 year olds having to sit down, on the floor, in the dark for about 15 minutes to hear farmer Paul talk about his family, 23 week old miracle of a grand son, first granddaughter to want to become a farmer in 100 years, etc. etc. How the 911 terrorists are cowards. Not to mention God is mentioned 3 to 4 times when in our group we have non believers (we are a public school), they felt offended. The lesson was too long and not age appropriate.

After we left this room we are taken to a hay ride. Our group was too big to fit in the truck so once 10 of us are left we were told we could not go on the ride OR to have 10 adults get out so we can fit the kids...I refused. Everyone paid. Everyone deserves the right to get on. So finally they complied but the last 10 people didn't have a chance to play at the playground.

We wanted to try something different but we learned our lesson (I have Farmer Paul to thank for that). From now on, we are sticking to Johansen's. Now that's a great farm to take children on a field trip.

Over priced!!!!! I understand the charge to get in, that's fine. But after you are in, you are charged for EVERYTHING!!!! And do not use the online to buy your tickets. I did to save money and I tried to use the code and it didn't go through so I ended up paying more that just using the coupon at the door. I wrote to the family explaining what happened and they wouldn't reimburse me, but offered 2 Bags of Popcorn. And to top it off the we had to wait until my husband to get home from work to go. So we got their at 4:30 and On top of buying to tickets if you want your kids to play on any of the rides you have to pay extra for that, so we bought tickets for our daughters to do all the things they wanted. One very important one was the Pony rides. We were told we have until 6pm. Bull dookie. We worked our way towards the back thinking we had time and Nope we got in line with the girls and litterally got to the front and the TEENAGERS that run the ride said "no we close at 5:30". They wouldn't even give a few minutes.....My daughters were crushed. Then by the time we left I was left to feel like we spent all that money for a mediocre time. So when we left my husband went to the cashiers to get our money back for the pony rides and they first said no, those pony rides have been open all day, and my husband being very aggrevated very pleasantly said I am getting my money back for these tickets. So she talked with her manager and I think they knew what was best at that moment.
It saddens me that this family who we have been going to for the last 10yrs. has become to big for their own good... GREED has taken over. I was loyal to this place loved taking my kids here. My 4 kids, oldest is now 15 and my youngest is 4yrs old. I guess we will take our business elsewhere, they don't need us loyal customers who got them to where they are now. I always referred them to everyone, but no longer will I do that.
I am sad to say my business with Siegels is over. So long old friend. It was pleasant while it lasted

We bought tickets online and traveled 1 hr+ to get there from Chicago, only to find out that they were closed due to rain. Not only did they not post that they were closed on their website, they refused to give us a refund for services not rendered and I had to file a dispute with my credit card company in order to get the charge removed. The manager we spoke to was mean, arrogant, sarcastic and reveled in the fact that she would not give us a refund...it was appalling. They purport themselves to be a "family" run farm, but more like a nasty, money grubbing corporation. Never again will we set foot near this place.

We pre-purchased tickets online to come to Siegels today. The weather is terrible. Raining nonstop, super windy and cold. We just couldn t enjoy it because we were soaking wet and freezing. We lasted 30 minutes. We went to management and asked if we could get tickets to come a different day when it wasn t raining and we could enjoy the farm. They told us no. We didn t ask for a refund, just our tickets back to come another day. We spent $75 to come for a half hour. Terrible customer service. We ve been here for a few years in a row and have loved it, but we won t be back to this pumpkin patch again because of the poor customer service.

They seemed to have a lot of fun activities for the kids, but definitely not a good place to go on a Sunday afternoon. It was way too crowded to be comfortable, especially at a time like this, and many people weren't wearing masks, and no social distancing at all. Unfortunately, we had to leave after about 20 minutes in, but maybe we can try again next year.

I visited this place today. They wouldn't accept the coupon I found in the Joliet Herald. After much arguing with a member of management, I was admitted. After a half hour, I was approached by the (same) member of management, who was escorted by a Crest Hill cop. The cop asked how long I had been there. I told him, the member of management he was accompaning knows I had been there about 30 minutes. She was the girl that, relunctantly, let me in. He said people said I was bothering them and their kids. This was a made up story, and not true. He said they were asking me to leave. I said, no problem. It seems to me the management team member was pissed off and made up some cock and bull story to get me kicked out. About half of the attractions were open, and the rest would only be open on the weekends. The ratty-ass place sure isn't worth the regular admission price of 15 bucks. The advertised 30 attractions must include 15 porta-potty's and the remainder are pretty crappy. I was glad to leave. I wouldnt take my grandkids there if Cottonwood Farm paid me and bought me dinner at Al's Steakhouse. What a RIPOFF ... Stay away from this falsly advertised, expensive, pumpkin farm ... SAVE YOUR MONEY!

Went here on a company outing and was questioning how well the animals there are cared for. Corporate paid for several employees to come out on a work event/outing. I went in a bit excited as I had never been to this place before let alone a pumpkin patch. I didn't have any expectations, but seeing the animals, I questioned how well they're cared for. Saw some chickens that looked like they'd been pecked to raw skin and bleeding.

In the company outing, each employee and any additional family members or people brought received a $15 Cottonwood Credit card that was orange. The HR department was not even informed that the card would expire that same day. No where on the card does it state it needs to be used the same day as the event. I went in thinking I had time to come back and use the remaining balance for perhaps even donuts at the Country Store inside.

After otherwise enjoying our time there with lots to see and do, I go home thinking I'll be able to use the remaining balance. These people are happy to just steal money from even business I work for. I think it's an awfully unfriendly customer service to have it only last the day of the event. It's only for food consumption anyways. I could understand if it lasted only till end of season, but to only have it available that day and to allow that to expire with money wasted is just stealing money from people.

I was considering buying more stuff from them because admittedly they make amazing apple cider donuts and I enjoyed their hot cider as well. I would've been interested in going back and paying out of pocket for entering as well, but after that kind of policy, I'd much rather stay away. I'll see if there's a better farm that knows better customer service than that! Very disappointing!!!

It really is affordable family fun on the farm.

It really is affordable family fun on the farm.
I love this farm and have been going the last 5 years straight. Every year they have added more activities included with your admission. There are tons of photo opportunities around the farm.
It's a real working farm so you'll see plenty of animals including goats, horses, and pigs. They also have chickens. In the last 5 years they have gone from the gumball machine hand full of good to cups, carrots, and greens you can purchase for a small fee to feed the animals.
There are a few different play areas for kids. Pirate ships, fairy/tiny houses, and cars/trains. They are all made out of wood. They recently added a corn pit(?). It's basically a sandbox but instead of sand corn is used.
Don't let the tiny corn maze fool you! It's a lot bigger than I expected. I figured it would just be a quick walk through, but we were in there for at least 10 minutes.
My daughters favorite things the last two years would be the zip line and the giant slide.
The best part? All of these activities are included in your general admission. No ticket lines. No hidden fees. The only things they charge extra for would be for any outside vendor they use, like pony rides or camel rides, and food.
The food is great. It's moderately priced. The pulled pork parfait is my new favorite. There are different buildings that sell different products. One building has apple cider donuts (Another favorite!), another pulled pork, another chicken tenders. That's just a sample of the food items they sell. This past year they started selling alcohol. Last year (2017) they started to sell a refillable cup. I like this much better than the paper cups they provided before. Plus it's a souvenir you'll actually use.
Pumpkins are charged by the weight. This year we pulled our pumpkins from the patch and unfortunately they didn't last very long before they started to rot. In previous years we've picked from the pre-picked pumpkins and have never had an issue. You can find pumpkins of all shapes, sizes, and colors.

Overall, I highly recommend this pumpkin patch. It's worth the drive. I like that it's an all inclusive price. Other farms I've been too you have to buy tickets for different attractions on top of a high admission fee. There is plenty to do to keep you busy the whole day. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's a nice family environment.

Visited the farm today for the first time and was not pleased. I went into the pen where they had several animals such as sheep, a horse, goats, etc. To my dismay I saw a black/brown sheep with a damaged right eye. I will give the farm the benefit of the doubt, maybe this sheep had been rescued and there was nothing they could have done in such a case. But the left eye was experiencing what I believe was the cause for the damage of the right eye: overgrowth of the horn. The horn was clearly pressing onto the sheep's outer edges of the eye, where it was very noticeable the pressure which was being placed on it due to the odd shape of the surrounding skin. I unfortunately do not have a photo, but I cannot believe the negligence. Again, I will give this place the benefit of the doubt since I only know what I saw.

Nothing affordable about this place. I spent $27 on three slushies and one cheese popcorn and the slushies were liquid and the popcorn tasted old and stale. Later spent around $30 or so on fries and chicken tenders for three girls and 1 adult and we were missing a tender...after spending almost 45 minutes in line though, I was not going back. The entrance fee was ridiculous considering I had to pay for pretty much everything the girls wanted to do once we were in. I won't be going back to this farm.

Very large so good for distancing and great price for how much there is to do. Way more food choices than most places. Only negative would be the enforcement of masks could have been much better. Telling people they can take it off if six feet apart translates to you don't need a mask to most people.

I guess they would rather not have business than honor an error. There was an email with a coupon code that went out to use. It wasn t working so I emailed to see if someone could help as to why the code wasn t working that exact same day the email went out. There was no response so I called days later asking if someone got the message that I was looking forward to visit with my son. Sue informed me no one received the email... ok but then proceeds to just tell me it was expired and was supposed to be for that day the email went out. I explained I did try to use it that day. She pretty much just said it expired that there was an offer for kids this Saturday. Well that don t work because I d like to go Friday. What a shame.

I'll start buy saying as soon as we entered the park parking lot we were ushered in like typical nothing bad nothing good. However the last usher I asked him which way we should go because he just stood there with an empty look not directing me anywhere. His response was just a shoulder shrug.

When we bought our tickets online it specifically said the tickets had to be printed out no phones could be used. Which we didn't find out until after the tickets where purchased. So we had to drive to a relatives to get them printed when I live right down the street. That was a huge inconvenience. However when we got there people used there tickets on their phones with ease. To say the least I was frustrated.

The pumpkin Patch was full of weeds and no so kid friendly. The patch was well picked over and a huge let down. I payed $15 for 3 tickets and was disappointed with the pumpkin selection. The Corn pit was extremely small maybe 5 kids could comfortably play in the corn at a time. At one point I counted 15 children in the corn pit. it also the sharp edges of the metal structure where dangerous and the bolts used to fasten them where sticking out all over in the corn pit. There is no place to go and get just a drink apart from the root beer booth which even with Ice was warm. If you wanted just a bottle of water you had to wait 20-30 mins in line.

There is some anti abortion propaganda sprinkled over the entire park. I get that's you opinion but I don't think it's in good taste to have that so prevalent. Also their was multiple signed written on the back of anti-Obama Propaganda which is also fine if that's your opinion but again not something I'd have shown openly. If those are your views that's fine but I'd rather not spend $15 on a ticket to have to see that kind of junk.

The open field layout was nice but a lot of the attraction and areas felt like on the edges of the park had just what I'll call "farm junk" just laying about.

It was mostly kid friendly and our children enjoyed it but expected a bit more bang for my buck at $15 a ticket.
