No outlets anywhere. Workers were pretty rude and unpleasant. No airport maps to be found.

One of the worse TSA precheck experiences, if not the worse.

I had a mobile boarding pass that clearly stated Precheck (I m also global entry member) and the TSA agent would not let me go through the Precheck security lane because I didn t have a printed boarding pass.

What!? It s 2019. Who carries printed boarding passes any more. Horrible service and experience, and almost made me late for my flight.

I expected a more modern airport with more services. I was owed

Excellent security and Covid19 safety but to much people gather in lines in some Jet Blue flights in gate

Extremely limited number of electric outlets for charging, and only two restaurants in terminal A. I couldn't imagine being stuck there for a layover or delayed flight.

Ithe was the biggest nightmare of my.life I was lied to and given wrong information I went to inforation desk and tooled him I was disabled and needed a rental car and he told me it was a 3 min walk I walked over a quarter mile it was ridiculousl he didn't offer a wheelchair and he didn't even tell me there was a shuttle bus low as the worst trip ever and I have Ben no trips onvery 40 times and this takes the cake is don't think I will ever fly again I am so ticked of than you very much

It's the worst airport ever when me and my family came back from a trip they took my dad in for questioning and we haven't heard anything from him.

So ridicules freezing cold inside and so small people are cramped in like sardines! We will make sure we never use this airport again!

Free internet and decent food options made our 2 hour layover relatively nice.

Pretty simple in and out airport but drivers speed through this airport, dont stop for pedestrians and cars unattended everywhere. Police cars are parked everywhere but no enforcement and local drivers seem to know that!!. Another issue we have while getting tailgated and cut off by wreckless drivers was the signage for terminals come up quick. Finally alot of wasted space and bad design because restaurants are very limited.

This is the worst experience I've ever had at an airport. Customs is a mess, the ticket counter workers are awful, what a joke this airport is. Haha and spirit airlines what a disaster that company is, their employees are rude beyond recognition. I honestly hope to never have to deal with this airport again and I hope for everyone's sake this place gets shut down or swallowed up by a sinkhole.

There is NO help given at this airport. I called the airport in regards to getting assistance for my elderly grandmother upon her arrival at the airport from KY. They informed me they "had no such services". My request was that someone be there to get her off the plane and bring her safely to me as she does not see or own a cell phone. Once I arrived at the airport, my grandmother was already lost and no one would help me find her, NOT EVEN SECURITY. Neither the airport, nor the airline she flew with (Allegiant) would assist us. It took someone from United Airlines to be gracious enough to help us get connected to one another.

Flew into Ft Lauderdale for the past few years before driving down to the Keys and never had an issue. Traffic around the airport is nothing compared to Miami International.

This airport is not bad. Just a little confusing. To get to the short term parking lot for terminals 2-4 you need to go through the terminal 1 long term area (???).

Pros:
- small airport, not too much walking
- security lines are usually small as they have multiple points relative to size of airport
- decent food options

Cons:
- car rental shuttles take a while to come through. account for wait of about ~15 min to get a shuttle. most visitors to FLL come with check in baggage as they tend to spend time at the beaches
- if u r returning cars at the rental, ensure that u fill gas a few miles before or plan for 20 mins for this activity.. nearest gas station is about 2.5 miles but takes 10 mins to get to with multiple turns

This is an awful airport terminal. Crowded, run down, lethargic service from vendors, the TSA people were efficient and nice. I travel through this airport once a year and it is always the same. A perpetual state of construction that never seems to yield any results.

I ve never arrived at an airport where Airport Operations and County Sheriffs continuously blared their sirens to facilitate traffic flow. It was absolutely ridiculous. It felt like landing in a police state. Impossible to coordinate pickup on the phone due to incessant sirens. Seriously, several deviations away from normal security behavior. Not a great welcome to your beautiful city. Figure out another way to ensure efficient pickup.

Now that I have travelled a great amount, I can compare the quality of airports to each other and it be a relevant review. The bathroom smell and cleanliness is unacceptable. FLL is a large airport that is largely funded as well, during a global pandemic especially, clean your restrooms more than once a day......

They play CNN fake news on their TVs, no indoor smoking lounge and trash all over the place. This is the dirtiest airport I have ever been in.

They are working on updating the airport. Not to bad.

I had an exellent experience with customs, baggage and security at this airport. Power outlets for a laptop are everywhere. Less busier probably than Miami International and easier to book a flight. Located right next to highway.

TSA Pre Check Member: If you're using this service at this airport. They will not follow guidelines for this service and ask you to take some things off which defeats the purpose for this service.

If something was in question, TSA Pre-check security should've just use the manual scanner instead of making me go through the full body scanner 3 times and then make me take off my belt.

It slows down the TSA Pre Check process so much so why pay for it.

Nice and clean, but it's a pain to get around in the garages because there are no signs, if you are returning a car, be prepared to drive around for a while before you find the rental companies

Traveling from Washington D.C. where the standard on transprotation is practical and high.

1.This airport was very impractical and inefficient. If you are traveling within South Florida and need to rent a car, expect to pay high car renting fees.

2. The car rental offices are far and you have to take a shuttle and a bus to get there. Prepare to work and wait.

3. Transporting people from place to place is exhausting!

Overall, I am glad I arrived safely to Ft. Laud, however it can be a journey trying to get situated. (Hart like Jackson and LAX still the best airports I've flown into.

I can't stand this airport but it's a step up from Miami International. It's dirty, very few directional signs, crowded and a cluster of traffic right when you step out of the sliding doors. "Welcome to Ft. Lauderdale" is cars honking obnoxiously (this is an understatement), inconsiderate drivers and people trying to rush out of there rudely. Not an inviting airport at all but your options are slim with Miami or West Palm Beach (45 or more minute drive north).

An airport sir! But, as I passed too quickly both on arrival and on departure, I believe there is much more to see and interact with. Now, the gigantic airport works like clockwork and has a variety of super cool and properly decorated and designed environments.
I haven't found it yet, but anytime I post some pictures of the floor and wall at the entrance to the bathrooms on this floor where the bus, very comfortable, leaves us for Connection and or to take the Vehicle that is already pre-rented, for the tours.

Not haviya secure wauto travel between terminals to make connections is poor!! People shouldn't have to go through security twice for one leg of a flight. Oh, and IF this is how you travel between terminals, so e maps and directions would be nice

I ABSOLUTELY ENJOYED MY FLIGHT, I HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH ANYTHING, EVERYONE WAS SO ACCOMMODATING AND MADE THAT I WAS COMFORTABLE COMING AND GOING, THE EVEN ARRIVAL TO MY DESTINATION WAS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE COMING AND GOING. IM ABSOLUTELY SATISFIED WITH EVERYTHING, GREAT JOB

I LOVE this airport! Been a fan for over 20 years. It's nice to continue see it grow and maintain the same level of service I've always experienced here. Hope they don't ever drop the ball. ;-)

An entire Airbus A380 full of people and just one officer to check passports. Unacceptable.

Had to wait on airplane to get out, There were about 5 long lines, an hour later tsa screamed at me just because I was holding my cell phone, it wasn t even on.
Never again I rather drive to Miami

If you arrived into the "international" transit/transfer area overnight awaiting a very early flight, Broward County police thugs will force you out "for cleaning" and then 2 hours later you're forced to deal with the TSA thugs to get to your connection. Unnecessary, just letting the boys flex their muscles and guns at travelers. BTW, WiFi does not work in the ride sharing area outside, if you come from abroad without phone service in the USA, stay inside the building until your ride is 1 minute away.

Terminal 2, Concourse D on a Saturday in March at Noon.

The good: Airport is small and easy to navigate, TSA Pre security check was fast, restroom was clean.

The Bad: crowded and claustrophobic, no place to sit, some but not enough power outlets. 1 choice of food. Poor selection of gluten free options.

Clean,kind of deserted, not to many people traveling. Went just pickup my grandson who flew from Chicago by Spirit Airlines. The fly went smooth and on time.

Amazing airport, parking is easy to find and it is easy to navigate!!! Amazing

Aside from the airport not believing in air conditioning, the staff is rude and unfriendly and needs an attitude adjustment. Watched them unnecessarily pat down an elderly woman in a wheelchair 2-3 times. Nothing compares however to listening to the intercom announcements blare out every 15 seconds that are so loud, I can t hear myself think about my intellectual thoughts. I m not sure why it s necessary for me to hear about Becky almost missing her flight at gate B7 when I m in I m in terminal A. I appreciate them trying to ensure that their passengers don t miss their flights, but if Becky is in A6 when she needs to be in B7, then maybe she deserves to miss her flight. Overall terrible experience. The only thing that made it bearable was the Burger Fye. If it weren t for that, I don t know how I would ve made it through my afternoon here.

Shuttle service is slow and unorganized, staff cut in front of customers in shuttle lineup, airport staff are rude and disrespectful. I don't know if this is a cultural thing but they need to learn some manners.

It was nice place and the people that works there where friendly.

This is the worst airport. It smells, has absolutely no charging stations. It's 2017! No charging stations? Not even any outlets! Everyone was looking for a place to charge their electronics. It's a smelly, outdated craphole!

What a nice airport. So refreshing, right from the gate the staff was extremely warm and welcoming. Standing out was the sheriff who helped me find my way to the train, he also provided additional transportation options and gave me maps and schedules. What a guy. Will defffanitly be using this aorport again.

Crowded and getting rental car, even from Hertz was a pain. I know the cost is attractive but given I flew in on Spirit it fit perfectly. It works but not without pain. The fewer things you need there and the least time spent there the happier you will be. Basically a gate in a crowd, nothing else. Traffic control and flow is a nightmare and unlike other airports no one to keep the people moving. They can take a lesson from LAX (keep moving)

Very disappointing. Went to baggage claim. For about 30 minutes it said my luggage would be at carousel 5. Waited and kept checking. After about 40 minutes it said carousel 6. I went over there and it was just sitting there on the conveyor belt not moving with all the other bags from our flight. Line at Budget Rental car was terrible. 2 people working the counter on a Saturday during spring break in Florida. And it is about 100 degrees in this airport.

All the shops and food places were closed. Spirit worker no showed on our flight, so we had to wait 1-3 hours for a backup to come in. The workers in the airport were all pushy and rude. We finally found a stand selling food and it was microwaved breakfast sandwiches for $8.50. Make sure you don t have to use the bathroom because every stall was completely covered in piss. Ahh! Worst airport ever!

The airport is clean not so big like Miami but the size is ok but sometimes because there can be crackheads and TSA takes a little to long also the airport is not the oldest and looks ok

Good luck finding any seat at terminal 3 at least. Nothing outside or inside. At least they don't charge for the bathroom.
They're strict with overweight bag unlike other airports I've visited.
And check-in desk we arrive to should open 4h before departure, well that's not the case apparently, meanwhile everyone sits on the floor and luggage waiting..

I hate flying, FLL doesn't make the experience any easier.

The airport is neat and clean, though due to great volume of traffic it s require more seating places,plugs in and rest rooms.

This is where the shooting occur on this airport in the beginning of 2017. The shooter was taken to custody without any incident and identified as Esteban Santiago-Ruiz.

I love FLL since its a smart alternative for MIA(Miami airport) with all public transportations available to Miami and South Beach. Efficient, free wifi as well.

The rental car return Logistics are non user-friendly. Most airports you return your car and then you walk to the terminal. But this one it seems very complicated you have to wait for the shuttle and it goes 100 feet to terminal two. Budget extra time.

This airport is definitely the worst airport I've ever been to(Newark, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Key West, Saint Martin, Orlando, Tampa, Seattle, Jamaica, Myrtle Beach, Puerto Rico and more) I landed in terminal 3 on a jet blue flight and had a connecting flight in terminal 1 on a silver airways flight expecting an inter-terminal tram I asked a TSA officer where I would get it and was informed that I would have to go outside and either walk or get the buss. This required me to go though security again. The whole airport is outdated and needs a serious makeover and restructuring. While everyone was very helpful if I would of had a shorter layover there would have been some serious issues.

Everyone is doing there job and things move along smoothly but at times there can be a wait so plan.

Only thing i dint like was everything was damn near closed

Excellent airport with good amenities. However, food options are VERY limited and not very good, and that's true even before the pandemic. Getting between terminals is a chore because it must be done with a bus. The bus stop for the Tri-Rail isn't convenient. Signage to find certain gates in Terminal 1 aren't very clear for first timers. I see people lost all the time. When it was busy, it felt really crowded because it is smaller. Now not so much.

The guy working at customs was rude for no reason and and apparently thought it might make him feel big and powerful to yell at me in front of everyone else waiting to go through all because I also had my boarding passes in hand with my passport and customs paper. This was my first experience flying and unsure of how everything works. Our flight was was delayed causing us to already have to rush through the airport to catch our connecting flight home and he was awful to us. Even if I had a job that I thought would allow me to be rude and hateful, I wouldn t act like that.

Used to love flying through this airport, but it's gotten old and is need of an upgrade. It has poor food choices and average service. One of the worst things about it is that the TSA Pre-check Lines close early (by 8:30pm), though they have flights that go out much later in the night. This particularly annoying on weekend nights when the traffic is heavier and you have to stand in the regular security lines.
