There is no way to get between terminals without completely exiting the airport and reentering security. So, if you have a connection here, good luck. It doesn't show you how to get to one terminal or the other. Worst airport in the world.

It would just be necessary to provide passengers with carts because the only ones available are outside the airport ....

Below Average Meal Options and Predatory Taxi Service. The only actual advantage to this airport is the proximity to the cruise liners and hotels. The airport itself has VERY limited options for eating while waiting for your plane and the TAXIS ARE PREDATORY. Several people came up to us as soon as we left the airport telling us that they were with Uber and Lyft. I mistakenly choose one and was charged $30 for a 5 minute ride to my hotel. When I told him that I would only pay the $10 Lyft charge, he accepted it begrudgingly.

Compared to Miami International airport, it might be the better option of the two -- but in reality compared to most international airports around the world it just lacks class.

Anytime you travel to South Florida expect to greeted by rude, uneducated people, and that is what you will get most of time from the airport employees: TSA, Airline service agents, Food court employees and especially Customs Border patrol agents.

Bathrooms are small and overcrowded, for an International airport its steps behind the rest in all facilities!

South Florida get your act together.

In comparison to other international airports, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood definitely falls short. When we were checking in for our flight, the signs contradicted each other and we couldn't find our airline. The staff directed us in the wrong direction!

FLL customs and immigration is an absolute disaster. Always a delay and this time (4/20/17) we were forced to wait on the plane at the gate for nearly an hour. Their reason was that they were over crowded. I never have this problem at MIA. Long lines, yes. But never stuck on the plane like this. Makes my Global Entry card a waste of money.

Unpleasant my experience in the checkpoint area of Jet Blue. On April 6, 2017 around 8:40 a.m. After passing through the metal detector, a woman stopped me to examine me and literally touched me all not professionally but humiliatingly, touching all my intimate parts. I asked annoyed why he examined me that way and his answer was, that is so that next time you pass without a strap on your pants. Very coincidentally, he did it with two more (Latin) women who were commenting completely upset on the plane.

Layout is not confusing, people are helpful, seldom experience delays. On the downside, the airport is much too small for the amount of people it's serving - very crowded and few comfortable options for food or work.

Not what I expected from a city like Fort Lauderdale. The airport needs to expand and provide more room for seating. They could also add some cafes. Only one small dinky kiosk for the whole terminal.

One of the worse experiences I've ever had to make transfers/layovers. Not only do they make you leave the airport you have to wait for shuttle that NEVER comes. No onw is around to help and the signs are unclear and very confusing. Then you have check in again at security. I am seriously considering to never visit Ft. Lauderdale again just because this experience was unbearable.

The airport itself is easy to navigate, but definatly needs some improvements. Hardly any food options, need more variety of restaraunts. Access to charging stations was pretty much non-existent, and the ride sharing pickup area was a cluster. Address those 3 things and you'll greatly improve the travelers experience.

Fort Lauderdale terminal G DOESNT HAVE OUTLETS IN SEATS. I ve never seen an airport behind the times in this way. People crowding around tiny terminal ports with 10 outlets hoping to get a spot... it s 2020 Fort Lauderdale, catch up!

Not much of an "International Airport", however much better than Miami International if you can actually get to the destination you are traveling to from here. I would give it 5 stars if there were more flights. Hopefully someday in the future.

This airport is just awful!!! The gate status is inaccurate on tvs throughout the airport and isn't even updated at the gate. Thank God for the internet! I will never book connecting flight through this airport again!

I give this airport a one star rating because they do not have a drop-off/pick-up area. This results in people just stopping their cars in front of the terminals to pick up people or drop off people and blocking other traffic. The result is one big chaotic traffic jam.

The other parts of the airport may be nice but Terminal 2 is definitely one I would avoid. Very crowded, lines get backed up easily, no room to walk, extremely loud and not very clean. It is under construction so I expect it will improve but for now I would stay away.

I went through this airport on the Sunday after thanksgiving. After shuffling through a line that literally went out the door to finally reach the metal detectors, I noticed that 5 of 6 lanes were CLOSED. So I asked the TSA employee why only ONE lane was open on the busiest day of the year. "If you're saving them for a busier flying day, I got news for ya -- THERE WONT BE ONE." "Oh, we don't have enough staff", I was told. Now whomever cant schedule staff for more than ONE lane on the busiest air travel day of the year needs to be FIRED.

It is a modern airport that is located near the place where I live, it is comfortable and has several shops where you can look and entertain until waiting for the flight departure ..

The airport is stuffy, restaurant selection is horrible and the staff in the terminals with their shuttle karts are extremely impolite, they nearly ran me over. The staff in this airport are the worst.

But FLL is much easier to get in and out of without much difficulty.
If someone is picking you up at FLL, have them go to upper level, normally the drop off zone, to pick you up... It's much easier to get out after being picked up on the departure level.
Outside the door nearest the baggage caracell number 2 is the elevator to the upper level, where you can have your pick-up and be gone before most people have made it outside the building from your flight...
The Broward County Sheriff's Deputies are much nicer than the Miami-Dade Police at MIA...
Enjoy..!

Fairly long walks in between terminals, coupled with a confusing layout that forces you to exit and then re-enter TSA secure areas between terminals makes for a rather frustrating experience - especially if on a short layover for a connecting flight.

I often use this airport, and find it well laid out.

For instance, with Clear and PreCheck, my average time arriving at the car rental center, through security, and at my gate (or lounge if early), is 15 minutes.

Comparing it to the other international nearby...MIA... FLL kills it. You can spend 15 minutes walking to the tram in MIA

I will never land here again its horrible very disorganized people are completely rude and obnoxious. Spirit is very rude from employees to manager. The airport is clean but the way it run is horrible we got here 1.5 hr early and we still didnt make it to our flight cause of the way it is run. The best thing I saw there was a brest feeding privacy i will put picture the best thing I saw. Horrible don't land here

Our first time through, and we hope it was the last. We had an hour to make a connection, and we were on time, so no problem, right? But we needed to go from the E gates to the C gates, which are in Terminals 3 and 1, respectively. BUT THERE WAS NO AIRPORT INFORMATION TO DIRECT US! NO STINKING MAP, NO HELP, NOTHING BUT MOBS OF PEOPLE!

A million thanks to the kind woman I approached, who was buying a snack. She worked for Spirit airline. She told me to exit Terminal 3, walk outside to Terminal 1, GO THROUGH TSA AGAIN (YEP, THAT'S RIGHT) and we might just make it. Her best line: "don't you wait for no damn shuttle, hon". We made it, and thanks for calling me "hon"!

Who comes up with a system where you have to pass security just to move between terminals? Who doesn't provide terminal maps? Who doesn't have airport info folks inside the terminal? This outfit, that's who.
