Nice airport minus the fact that military means nothing to them, at every other airport military members and their families got to go through the Precheck plus had priority boarding.

The airport was crowded at terminals and and too hot. Stores and free shop were closed at 7pm on Sunday. Medium size airport and easy to move around.

FLIGHT OVER TO THE ISLAND TO BLOW OF STEAM AND HAVE TON OF FUN!!

I Love Fort Lauderdale but the airport could be a whole lot nicer. I am waiting on a lay over from Cancun Mexico and we are here for a few hours. The B gates leave a little to be desired. Crowded , warm and have as nice as the A gates! Sad to say Cancun had a beautiful airport with lots of restaurants , shops and plenty of seating. Hopefully by the time I move down here. They will Improve The Whole Airport!

Very good service. Airy room in the waiting room. Extra service at Air Canada to receive Ect luggage. Ect.

When I came here for a connecting flight to Colombia, we had to pass security again and I already did from the Dallas airport. I don't really think it's necessary to go through security again if you're on a connecting flight, plus waiting for another airplane to clear the gate and wasting time and not enough to catch another flight.

That shooter needs to come back for round 2 (staff only)

I was on a flight from Medellin, Colombia to Ft. Lauderdale yesterday, 07/18/2018, and arrived at 6:15 pm (22 minutes early) on Spirit Airline (#NK 236). I had a connection from Spirit to Columbus, Ohio (#NK 492), which boarded at 8:35 pm. The new paperless Customs system was announced and it took almost two hours to get threw through this new paperless system and caused many people to miss their connecting flights. You go from one long and slow moving line to another (total of 4 long lines) before you get to your departing gate. What a mess....Please either expand the number of automated terminals or go back to the old system!

Traveling back from a cruise, tired from all the lines already. Getting through security is a forever process and not quick or smooth.

Nicer than MIA airport. Good food selections and open space seating.

It's an okay airport. I have found that I mostly flew in & out of here from Boston, either heading to Jamaica, or other Caribbean destinations. The staff that works here, they are not the most efficient & could operate their facilities a little cleaner. Delays are common but I have found that to be less-prevalent in Orlando, compared to South Florida.

3 and a half hours doing immigration. It is not possible that there are only two immigration officers at a peak time to attend an approximate of about 2000 passengers

Nice, new and clean airport. However, all the employees I had interaction with were rude. They apparently only hire the bottom of the ghetto bucket.

Nice airport with nice decorations. Rental cars area is connected to the airport so you don t need a bus to take you offer to the terminals.

Very nice airport, the taxi service is not very good. But there are good bus services that take you to downtown Fort Lauderdale, I think it is bus # 14

All in all not too bad. Not very efficient but probably because the place is really not designed to handle the volume. That said, you can still get through and in to the next flight.

Small airport , most of the times there are short lines and quick.

Best airport to travel to and from South Florida. The lines are fast, the staff is always helpful.

Great, you have to run forever. At night there is nobody to help you and only strange shapes. Taxi drivers like to take advantage of ignorance and extend the journey. Our suitcase was re-invoiced when we checked in at Silver Airlines, even though our luggage had already been paid for but was not taken away.
No special amenities in the airport.
If you have the choice, you should fly over Orlando, it was fantastic.

parking is a horrendous experience, not nearly enough to keep up with the airport expansion, you can easily drive around for over 20 minutes looking for a space.
Add to that the wait for any of the food or drink locations in terminals 3 or 4 and you need an extra hour at least The food staff have no motivation and could not physically move any slower. The management of these locations need to improve drastically

Cheap prices but filthy, crowded, and extremely dirty restrooms

The airport feels a bit dated and in need of some updates. WiFi is hit or miss and I found LTE was much better. There are not enough bathrooms in the terminal. Inside security there are limited restaurants as well. Outside security, the airport is fine. The rental car location worked smoothly and we did not have any issues. It is close to the Port Everglades terminal, so it is a very quick and inexpensive trip to get there by cab.

Slow and bad attention. Endless queues. The income self-management system is a mockery because they send you to make a new queue to spend with an immigration officer. It looks like third world airport

Older airport with a lot of restaurants that are coming soon. Long overdue for an update.

This airport is arguably one of the most inefficient I've ever experienced. This is my home airport and I dread it both outside and in. Amenities are poor. Layout is antiquated and transportation (drop off/pick up/parking) is cumbersome.

2 months later....still a dump.

Nicest homeland security people! 6:30pm on a Thursday night and we breezed right thru! Checked in with Southwest at the curb and it was so quick. Modern airport. Power at each seat in waiting area, but seats are hard.

Not all the airports fault. Just too many people using this place and they can t handle it. Terminal 4 is downright third world.
Do yourself a favor, avoid the discount guys: spirit, jetblue, frontier, just nothing but trouble.
AA, delta, united and southwest are decent out of FLL.

Also, customs when returning back to USA here is really bad. Makes the crew at JFK seem like they re happy and have their act together.

Worst airport I've ever been in. Arrival and departure is chaotic. The security line is a joke. Too many people crammed in each terminal. Most of the staff I talked to were rude or uncaring. Was not allowed to bring sleeping baby into any of the restaurants because they were in a stroller. It was just one thing after the other. A lot of people complain about Atlanta but this is by far the worst I have been in. I'm just glad I don't have to come here too often.

This airport F. I. A.. Is one of the best airports in the country concidering the volume and offerings. It is absolutely situated.. It sits next to route 1 and I-595.. 595 is a well designed stroll to I-95 the Turnpike.. The sawgrass and I'-75.. Plus Port Everglades is a skip away for the Cruising adventurous types.. Miami.. Compared to F.I.A. it is a joke I have heard nothing but poor numerous comments about this enterprise.. Be aware of the bad reviews i have listened to over many years.. Better to be here than there.
For the traveler there is only one stop in south Fla and here it is.. I have been in the area since 1984.. Take my advise or pay the price.. By far the best... due to the cool infrastructure.. Great planing. This review is an unbiased critique..... Enjoy.

The airport is nice, i loved the bathroom because they are new. Mostly the stores were closed i think for the pandemic. But generally it was a good experience, easy and fast process for go to the gates.

Awful get stuck here overnight, came in from abroad, exhausted, and after doing through customs they would not recheck my bag for 4 hours. Totting a bag about in the middle of the night and when it should have been held until I got to Los Angeles to have it all done there. All Concession closed, no food, drinks, etc. Went to the jet blue desk for help on my bags and was told to wait for the desks to open. No sleep watching the bags. County mayor kept bragging about the area was a joke

Well, my first time flying out of the A gates, the international terminal, which is brand new. It is gorgeous here, nice lighting, very spacious, and relaxing music. Beautiful starbucks store! Wow, what a difference to B gate area which is super tight and crowded, can never get a seat, and always stinks sour!!

Airport is nice, and moves quickly. Unfortunately most everything including lounges are still closed covid

Dozens of people waiting for very delayed flights are told to get out of their seats because a crew of workers from Whit - Turner company wants to work on the ceiling. Why not start the work later at night? We are already inconvenienced enough! And the workers are nasty with us. Especially this guy Robert and his companion, a big burly guy with dreadlocks . He even flicked me off.
Some of us are old, tired and just need to sit down. Some of us have tired kids. This is not a good way to treat us.

The airport is clean, bright, convenient and modern. There are plenty of chargers for devices and the seating areas are comfortable.

The one major thing that needs a reboot is the PA system. The gate agents need some serious training on how to speak clearly. I would estimate that 90 percent of the announcements are inaudible due to the gate staff speaking too fast, too loudly. It reminds me of the days when the subway systems used to allow the drivers to announce the stops.

Fort Lauderdale Airport needs help in many areas. First, the access in and out of the airport is often very congested and may take much longer than you expect.

Once inside the terminals, not much improves. The food options are very limited. The concessionaires use airport pricing rather than market pricing which means you will be paying far more for food items than they are worth.

The airport cannot handle the volume of people who traverse FLL. Thus, seats and bathrooms are overrun by humanity.

Finally, and most disappointing is just how unpleasant the employees (such as the concessionaires) are at this airport. They have poor attitudes and do not bother to ask one for help. Perhaps this is a lack of training, but it is notably worse at this airport than others.

Originally I fly out of Miami International Airport however due to knee injury there's a lot of walking sometimes involve the Miami International Fort lauderdale-hollywood Airport I can take the Tri-Rail straight to the airport only walking on the steps and then I'm the more to get to my gate or so so that makes it quite easy for me also great mood great atmosphere

It's small enough to navigate. I like that you can check bags in curbside. This is so convenient and I wish my homebase airport did ad well. It's just so very convenient.

This airport is the worst place I have ever flew out of no where to sit if you did find some where the roof was leaking on it then TSA was yelling and throwing your stuff. After security there was so many people u couldn't move one place to eat with 1 to 2 hour wait to be seated and more leaks as u ate I will try my hardest to never go back to this airport.

Absolutely the worst airport in the US. Nothing even comes close to the level of sheer stupidity that the designers of this airport have. And "sun-sational" isn't even a word. Get it together FLL. This is coming from a guy who commutes to LaGuardia every week.

The people are mostly nice...but we got mixed the info. And flights (including mine) got delayed by 6 sometimes 9 hours. we were supposed to arrive at the Bahamas at 1 in the afternoon and got there at 8:30. And we had family waiting at the airport. And the airport was confusing and there were no maps. And the only bathrooms were at the front of the building. The airport also had a weird smell. And was semi-clean

I am completely astonished at the extent of neglect from both the airline (SPIRIT) and airport. Their customs and flight connections are completely ignorant. I myself as well as my wife and two children who are currently in line at the airport and have been in line for over an hour have missed three and four hour layover connection flights due to their overwhelming lack of control over security and customs screening. This WILL BE the final time we ever fly SPIRIT or any flight that connects through FLL. I am beyond frustrated, trying to contact ANYONE is can help with this current situation is a complete and epic waist of time. After three hangups and multiple transfers, I am convinced neither the airline or airport are being managed by ANYONE with any competence whatsoever! I strongly recommend alternative airlines and airports.

A small airport. Immigration takes a very long time

Baggage check was easy and directions to departure gates were clearly marked as easy to find your way.

Great friendly little airport, no facilities to speak of but everyone is friendly.

Not the worst and not the best. But much better than flying in and out of Miami International. Pretty clean everything.

I always travel through this airport because it is close to my house and I have almost never had problems. But as a general recommendation, I think they should enable more machines for Customs Pass or put more people, the truth is stressful traveling with children and having to make long lines because there are few machines for so many people they receive.

This has been the WORSE airport I have ever been to!
5/14/18 I arrived, this place was trashed! Food lines were at least 45 mins long/wait. Fast food seating and lobby areas had trash everywhere on the ground. Most fast food locations were out of food at 7pm! Condiments stations were NASTY... peoples trash on the counters, no napkins, soda spills all over the ground.
Trash cans over flowing on the floors in multiple locations!
Never again will I come back to this Airport!

I would love to see this airport adopt San Francisco Airport policy of lowering the total amount of noise in the terminal. I don't need to listen to music when I am walking in the terminal and I don't need a listen to ad slogan selling me the county. I want to listen to my headset. I want to listen to a book. I just want peace and quiet come on turn off all that excess noise, airports are noisy enough

It is a large airport, it has many shops to buy, I liked the speed to enter or leave, everything very neat. I would go back many times if I could.

Worst service ever. Waited in line for 45 min. Never going through this company again.

First time flying since the Corona virus, I must admit I had a lil anxiety upon entering. They are Ready!!! PPE n all. Making sure to remind customers to stay 6ft min apart from each other. Going through TSA was quick n professional

Noisy,Dirty, not enough seating. Limited decent food options.
US airports are feeling more and more like a greyhound bus station.

Well, the unpleasant experience, the line in custon very unpleasant, people lost their connections, and outside the airport a lot of disorder, I think this airport is getting too small.

Inadequate water fountains. You can't fill up a water bottle. Hard to drink out of.

Quick breeze through TSA and the gates are right there

DO NOT USE THIS AIRPORT!!! It is worth is to fork up the extra money to fly into PBI or drive down to MIA considering the items that could be stolen. In March 2018, we were returning from Denver and my partner's bag was rummaged through. After waiting over 30 minutes for our luggage to come out, we saw that her suitcase came out with her clothes spilling out. Her new shoes and some new clothes were stolen out of her bag. We filed a complaint with Spirit. This morning we flew into FLL from Baltimore, hoping last time was just bad luck and the fault of some terrible people, however, we once again waited 30 minutes for our bags to come out. I travel often and I have NEVER waited that long to receive my bags. Once again, when the bags FINALLY came out my partner's suitcase was open and her belongings were visibly rummaged through. I don't know if they are understaffed or if they don't do thorough enough background checks, but don't be fooled by how "nice" the airport is. There are some people with little concern for other people's belongings working for them. They mishandle the bags and take too long to get them to the carousels. I urge you to try another airport to avoid the headache we endured from this establishment. If they figured this issue out, they would truly be a great airport.

The small and lovely airport, the decoration inside knows that I came to Florida, the service staff inside is basically full, and the shuttle bus is very convenient!

TSA at terminal 2 today was awesome! Friendly staff and nicely spaced out so it doesn't feel claustrophobic. It was a breeze!

Spirit is no good at all, it's an airline jetliner. They charge for everything up to the smile and they are very slow to check in because the plane leaves me.

Its convenient for travel. Processing time very efficient. Gates are within a short and easy to get around
