Terrible. Very disorganized. The staff was rude and didn't seem to know how to keep large quantities of people organized for the boarding process. The terminal was very small, and there wasn't anywhere to go to hang out. Bathrooms were disgusting and the overall airport was dirty.

At the International Terminal and NOTHING WORKS! There are electric plugs all over BUT THEY DONT WORK. The terminal is filthy too. The food is unhealthy and overpriced and the PA system is from the 60's. Bad attitude FLL, awful.

Even one star is too much for this airport. Absolute joke, worst experience ever. Its been over two hours since we landed and not gotten very far. One queu after another. Staff are redirecting people as they go, which is very unfair to others and not making things better. And apparantly according to staff this is a normal evening. Who on earth came up with tge system here, completely idiotic!! Will never ever fly to Fort Lauderdale again!

Horrific experience for the disabled and injured at Fort Lauderdale airport. We flew in from Lima, Peru and my husband as well as the elderly had to walk from the gate to the main entrance. Then we had to push each other to immigration. There was one employee for six people in wheelchairs. Then there were missing wheelchairs for others. After exiting with our luggage and going to the tent for our bus pick up, there are about ten wheelchairs sitting there. This shows that all those people pushed themselves to the tent with no assurance. What a disgrace!

Would expect to be more organized for an International Airport, the staff here is usually more lost than you. Nice and open. Pretty uncomfortable no chairs to sit on and like most international airports or you have charging stations for your phone here you will not find that.

Worst Cell Phone parking lot i have ever seen. One of the Busiest weekends of the year ant they could have added about 10 spots in the gravel, insted the have "airport operations security guards" force you to drive around in an already overly congested terminial (why would you want to add additional vehicles to the congestion) poor planning had to circle 9 times and all nine times i could not get a parking spot. Why bother!!!!!!

Airport inside is very clean and well layed out if they fixed the cell phone lot and controled the traffic better i would give it 5 stars

Ice cream machine near to the claim baggage s from air line Spirit , arrival area are ripping off the customers. I place $5.00 dollars bill for a $3.00 dollar ice cream and never gave me the $2.00 dollars change.

Dirty, slow, inefficient, overcrowded and a concentration of very unkind people. My experience on multiple occasions, varying airlines. Never again.. Do yourself a favor and fly from PBI if possible.

It is a somewhat old airport but very comfortable, depending on the schedule that you touch you can get many people or not, recommended for international and national travel. One tip is that the bottled water they sell inside is expensive, take an empty bottle of water that you can go through the control without problem and inside you will see that there are drinks to fill without problem.

Signage is HORRIBLE! Some operations team needs to get in here and address this from a guest perspective. The Rental Car return was also a horrible experience due to lack of signage, there seemed to be only signage on the main highway, and why the heck would an airport make you drive all the way through the airport drop off area to get to rental car return.

It needs a bit of updating. The waiting area before you board on your flight is not accommodating, and Wi-Fi is not available, or too much of a weak signal to even get internet. No provision to plug your devices. If you are early for your flight, bring a fully charged device, or a battery pack.

My home town airport. Still remember its old days when we virtually drove on to the tarmac. Certainly has come a long way since then. Many more airlines and terminals. Lots of parking although this is somewhat pricey. Restaurant quality and service is dependent uponb the terminal for your flight. Some are just better in offering conveniences and the ability to navigate through them. Drop off can be a problem if you do not obey the officers in charge. A word to the wise--parking tickets are expensive. Listen to what you are told.

Terrible service, I've been waiting over half an hour for my game system to be checked over, the same game system that I've flown with without issue 6 times this year. And they're swab sensing machine is broken causing even more delays as the employees just keep telling each other that it's broken. And the terminal is very small, hardly any where to charge your phone which has become a norm in modern airports

The Fort Lauderdale Airport is very functional and accessible. The airport staff and public service personnel is very attentive and accommodating from directions and assistance. The restrooms are clean and the crossing patrol guards are protective and reliable. The Self Parking is very comprehensive and not difficult to understand its accommodations and pricing. In addition We ve found it merely a fraction of the effort in parking to pick up traveling Family or Friends is much safer than circling around the entire airport while waiting arrivals. We ve found It s easier to park $3 for an hour compared to being so intimidated by the flow of wasteful time and sometimes aggressive traffic.. This Airport and services can leave a good impression on you that can go along way.. Happiest Travels!! ~CIGAR MIAMI

My wife and I flew out of this airport April 10th, to Lima Peru, this Airport is really one of the worst I have flew out off, first of all it's so inconvenient, especially when have a lot of Luggage. There are no Luggage carts with in reach and you have to pay for them, seriously!! Employees are very rude and Obnoxious, in exception to the JetBlue employees they were very kind and Helpful. Also when we arrived in Fort Lauderdale the Custom agents were very rude.

The shuttle stops from the rental center to the airport was a complete nightmare. There was no organization, the line was being skipped and the time between shuttle arrivals was terrible as well. Fights were about to break out and a young girl was almost knocked off of the bus by another passenger trying to board. There needs to be a better system put in place so that people do not end up missing their flights and there is no hostility. Also spirit airlines did not have enough staff working their lines for bag check in. They had a lot of empty computer stations making the lines long and slow. Lucky for my family and I we were pretty close to our gate. We arrived an hour and a half prior to boarding and ended up being the last to board the plane. I only give this two stars because security moved quickly and smoothly. Flyers make sure you put enough time ahead of you for all these extra hiccups.

If I could give this airport 0 stars I would. Filthy, both flights have been extremely delayed, and you literally cannot sit without hearing the same announcements over and over again. Absolute pain to be here.

The airport is way to small for the volume of flights they have. If you are checking a bag for Delta expect to wait over an hour to do so. Once you get into the terminal there is hardly anything. Poor selection of food and not enough seating for travelers. Horrible, out dated bathrooms as well. All around a horrible airport.

Our experience was a disgrace. Upon disembarkation, it took us 5 hours to pass through the federal police as only 2 flights arrived at the same time with few attendants. Queues full of children, babies and the elderly, we were holding babies but there is no preferred queue. They informed us that it is always like this now. After leaving, more lines to catch the bus and to rent a car. Never again disrespect this airport! 5 hours to enter a country is unacceptable!

I don t make a habit of writing bad reviews, but I feel like the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is really taking advantage of the idea that travelers are going to use the airport regardless of their experience.
I always had trouble finding the economy parking because of the poor signage, but I almost missed my flight on May 9th when drove in circles trying to find the public entrance (as opposed to the employee entrance) to the economy parking lot, only to find out FLL no longer has an economy parking lot. Long-term parking is now $15.00/day, as opposed to $7.50/day. What airport doesn t offer an economy parking lot?
When I returned from my trip (Sunday, May 13th, at 5:30pm), there were TWO homeland security officers at customs. Thankfully I didn t have a connecting flight, as I would ve been one of the many travelers that missed their next flight because of the long wait. What a bad impression this gives international travelers arriving to the US; an underfunded security checkpoint running on a shoestring.
Whether it s a long wait for a shuttle bus, a long wait to get through TSA, poor signage to get around, or just understaffing at essential areas, FLL seems to be the least bit concerned with providing quality customer service. I fly in and out of PBI, MIA, and FLL quite often, and FLL always provides the worst experience.

Horrible service at the JetBlue counter at terminal 3 today, we couldn't use the online check in machines because we were traveling with a minor so we had to go to the kiosks, the lady(Kesha) that was supposed to control the line had a incredibly bad attitude toward us, she made us wait in line for 40 minutes and we finally made it to the front of the line but people just kept coming to the front without getting in the line and most of them saying that they were running late for their San Juan flight and we understand that, but she doesn't have to put almost a whole flight in front of us and occupy all the counters,so all the other passengers have to wait until all the people that are late get their problems solved, at least leave one kiosk open for the people that are on time, when we told her that we had already been waiting for 40 minutes she asked us what flight we were going in and when we told her our flight she told us that we still had time so we could wait more time, and then one of the ladies at a kiosk told us to go but when she saw us there she went there and told us that we couldn't drop our bags off because we still could wait some more time. Again, Kesha from JetBlue at terminal 3
