Airport clean and organized, but urgently needs cell phone recharge points

Lack of information on some arrivals! I walked for one hour to get the arrival gate number from a flight from Sao Paulo, Brazil because nobody knew it and the arrivals board didn't have the information. They sent me back and forward from gate 1 and 4 which takes almost 30 min walking.

A fairly large Airport as airports go. Very clean and lots of parking. If you know what you're doing at the airport and you have all your ducks in a row. You can get through fairly quickly

Very poor airport, small and messy !!

You have ROW for everything! Only in immigration are at least 3 different rows.

I disembarked another 1h20, and I'm still at FILA to get the bus to go rent a car!

Chaotic immigration, with large lines and slow and rude staff. Highly delayed boarding procedures at the risk of losing the flight.

WORST AIRPORT EVER! The baggage ladies are liars. They made us wait two hours before our flight left to even check in our bags. We slept on the floor and waited 5 hours before we could even enter the airport. THEN.... we returned when told to and they told us to get in line... which was now so long it was going outside. Thanks to the WORST organized airport and DELTA airline for a horrible experience. Do NOT use this airport. We only had 5 cruise ships come in at the same time. I heard that next weekend they will have 11 cruise ships come in. GOOD LUCK!

The airport itself is OK, it is generally clean and moves fast.
Do not use the parking prepay system. We payed $90 at the prepay terminal before the tram. When we arrived at the toll gate to leave we were charged an additional $3. We were told this charge is because we took to long to leave. I guess 15 minutes is too long.

They have to understand when they have prepay systems before the tram you still have the ride the tram to another garage, put your luggage and kids in the car then natlvigate the maze of a garage 6 stories in the air.

Math time:
15 minutes = $3.00

Or
$15.00 a day

Prepay = scam.

The airport is pretty but completely lacks good eateries, drinks & shopping.
The restaurants are all understaffed.
The restrooms were filthy & unattended at the busiest holidays of the year.
The best thing going for the airport is the kids play area.
All staff encountered from the majority of the businesses lacked initiative & interest in making a difference and serving customers.

Pretty easy to navigate through this airport.

Decent food places throughout the airport, with Starbucks pretty much at every turn.

Torn basil is where we ate, wasn t bad at all.

Friendly customer service all the way through

Free WiFi is pretty decent.

Overall pleasant visit inside the airport.

Bathrooms are in need of updating but overall nice airport.

No traffic, TSA agents were very courteous & friendly.

$4.19 for a bottle of water you buy at $0.30 each in walmart.... or the most expensive gas station $1.99.... these people are thieves. I had to buy it just to take my medicine

I don't know if O'Hare Airport in Chicago just has a greater sense of urgency in their personnel or what the case may be, but I waited a pretty long time for bags here at FLL and after my flight back to Chicago, my bags were coming down the carousel when I arrived at the baggage claim. It was also two different airlines, so...
Otherwise! This airport is very easy to get around and if you're renting a car, it's pretty straight forward. There's a pedway from Terminal One to the car rental agencies and things are well marked. I can't tell about the other terminals, but they have the usual shuttles. Again, everything is well marked.

Flew out of here several times and usually a pleasure, but it's getting a little busier lately and takes a long time to get through security.

Don't arrive too early as the only real place to wait is downstairs in baggage claim (if you can get a seat). Also, motel/hotel pick up between terminals 2 and 3 is terrible. Concrete island with no shade or seats. Surely this airport can afford to fix these issues.

Customs in most discussing thing you ever seen in your life it took longer to get through customs than the flight from SanJose Costa Rica.Everyone missed there connecting flights! Totally understaffed!One if the worst experiences of my life and I even had my mobile passport.

This is a great airport: easy access from I-95 and the Turnpike; terminals are smaller and lines are shorter. Very orderly Police are there all the time keeping up with the flow.

I was in Terminal 2 and the restaurants were terrible. The WiFi shouldn't qualify as WiFi since you can't play YouTube videos. It is one of the worst I have been in.

It is clean and fair. Tight security everywhere. Starbucks is open and so are a couple of other places

Im a regular traveler,ive been traveling through JetBlue for 9 years now almost 10 and today was the worst. The officer disrepected me and my mother and accusing me. Im not the type of person who disrespect so after hearing that i was just pissed so from this day on i will never travel through fort Lauderdale international airport again. The officer name was moore

No outlets for a quick charge. Baggage claim info was sooo wrong. Whatever

Dropped my license. Traveled alone. Very rude staff, would not help me. A nice couple turned in my id and no one paged me or was at desk 5 min later!I got treated like a terrorist! Nice that security is good but come on!

Waited more than 2 hours to get off plane and through passport control. Not great after such a long flight from Oslo.

Whether arriving or departing, it's a breeze to go through this airport. / On arrival or departure, this airport is very easy to pass ... !!!

Had a huge restaurant but seated one person at a time a took 10 mins even with 20 tables open.
Security people were rude.
I don't know how to take away a star but 0/5 stars.

I wish zero stars was an option. Coming in internationally late in the evening to catch a connecting flight. Customs was slow, no separate line for citizens vs foreign citizens
(like most airports in Europe). Our connector was delayed 4 hours due to FLL's poor arrival/departure history. Everything was closed by the time we re checked in our bags with MANY flights still waiting to take off. PreCheck was closed at 8pm and no restaurants were open past 9. We waited four hours with no charging stations for phones or computers with nothing to eat. For an international airport working around the clock, they should really make sure ALL passengers feel welcomed and able to relax before their next flight.

Got in got out and no issues. Getting on bus to car rental left me drain and upset.

Perfect clean and friendly economic choice. Actually much nicer than I expected.

Domestic airport very well done, we don't get lost everything is very well done we don't waste time either.

I had a great experience with Fort Lauderdale Hollywood airport it's never as crowded as Miami's airport and much cleaner I must say. I flew with Southwest airlines and I had the whole 3 seats to myself. Thank you for a nice time I'll be back.

Really small airport (considering ATL is usually where I fly to/from). But everyone was nice & there was a Starbucks, so I was happy!

The lack of terminal maps, sinage and information points made it difficult to get around. I flew into terminal 1and fly out of terminal 3 which required going through security checkpoint again. It was a real hassle.

Not great.. Over due for a face lift. Needs more space. Wierd

A disaster, they sold tickets to Cuba for today November 11 and when we got there they told us that the flight was suspended, without sending a message or mail, or anything, we were lost, with all the expenses we have made and on top of this we did not they have another date until January. And the tickets are expensive

on time, courteous, short lines, plenty of leg room, good price, no bag fees, just like the old way to fly. Great airline by todays standards

The treatment is excellent and a lot of attention, when the traveler needs any questions, it is special, he has always traveled there, Thank you. ..

Very disappointed, had an 8+ hour layover with my ESA, and the only pet relief area is outside security. Who wants to go through security every layover? My 1st time experiencing this at a major airport. I will not connect through FLL again.

Terrible experience. Management of the airport and the restaurants within seem to have no pride in their operations. Food is overpriced and subpar, service is nonexistent, and the place is absolutely filthy. The place has potential if they ever bother to care.

Wow. The customs at this airport was the most disorganized thing I ve ever seen. Shameful at best. There was literally 1,000 people in line to go through passport control with 3 people working. No line control whatsoever so no one knew where the line started it was just spiraling back and fourth through the baggage claim area. Occasionally an employee would come over and force parts of the line to merge, which just messed everything up because people who had been in line for 30 minutes suddenly were cutting/merging with people who had been in line over two hours. It was a chaotic mess. People were literally talking about storming the door, or pulling the fire escape. People had been waiting for hours it seemed like it took some people legit 4 hours to get out of customs. Everyone I spoke to missed their connecting flight. Mine was a 4.5 hour layover and I barely made it. People where yelling curse words all across the place at each other and I was afraid of a stampede or riot. It was shocking. Literally the worst public organizing I ve ever seen. Somebody needed to get fired. Or a lot of people... I m definitely never taking an international flight into Ft Lauderdale again, because that was just completely heinous.

Small airport but accommodated Air Canada flights...yeh heading home.

Unhelpful very rude and just lazy people working at this airport I can't believe the level of stupidity people have that work there.

It s a good airport for domestic flights. For international flights they should have more immigration officers , there s no line for Americans or residents, we have to take the same lines as the visitors , it make us wait more then 1 hour until pass the immigration. They do have the self machine for speed up the process but anyway you have to take the line , so the officer can check your passport.

This is overall a decent airport. It's clean and not overly huge, which I appreciate. Baggage claim was very efficient, and so was customs. My only criticism would be that there didn't seem to be enough seating at my gate.

Confusing directional signage. Why is ground level assigned as level 2 it would make more sense if it was level 1. Airport is way too crowded, hard to find a place to sit, long wait times for restaurants, unpleasant staff bot Airport and TSA. Overall poor experience compared to other airports of this size.

it would sure be nice if there were any signs inside the terminal telling you how to find the other terminals. had to ask two airport staff how to find my plane. it was totally unclear after deplaning that you have to exit security and the terminal and walk outside to another terminal and clear security again. also my flight was not listed on the departure board at all. frustrating and confusing. the gentleman who helped me was lovely and said I should complain to the city, as the signage is indeed lousy. first step here.

Absolute misery. This place is under staffed and not equipped for the volume it receives. Getting through customs is trash. Even if you have the mobile app, the line takes forever and only a fraction of the scanning machines are being used. All this after a 9 hour flight and having to wait on the plane after landing because "customs is congested." The plane landed a little after 8PM. It's 10PM and now I'm hearing that it might be another hour before we get through customs.

Bathrooms are very clean. They have lots of handicap bathrooms. The rental car building is right on the airport.
Very close to Federal Highway and I-95.
AND UNLIKE MIA, there are NO TOLLS to get to and from the airport!!!!

The airport is under construction and there are many areas that does not look fine. There are enough indication when you arrive.

Flew JetBlue, the terminal is one of the worst I ve seen. I gave 2 stars because of quick and respectful tsa staff. Low ceiling, outdated seats. Super crowded. I cant believe this city has the biggest cruise port in the US. Nowhere to rest or relax in this JetBlue terminal.

Worst airport experience ever! Had to walk outside in the rain with my child to get to my connecting flight. Then I had to go back through security all over again to get to my connecting flight. The security were extremely rude and uncaring of the multiple people who had issues with connecting flights that were about to leave. I will pay any amount of money or take any amount of time with a layover anywhere else just to avoid this awful airport

Your regular midsized airport. Can get very busy with people coming from cruises. Car rental is right at the airport, but you still have to take an overcrowded bus to get there.

This is my favorite place for travel! It perfect in size, downright amazing in scenery, and everything that you will need will be up for sale! They even have a shop and food court in case you need food and snacks, even when you get free ones on the planes! Staff is always helpful, and they have a great StarBucks too! I also like the seating area in front of the shop, they'll let you charge your devices with the plus in the seats. They also have free wifi, for all the people that need it! BOOK ALL OF YOUR FLIGHTS HERE OR ELSE YOU WILL MISS PERFECTION AT ITS BEST!

They're clearly working on updating the airport. There is a lounge area with a nice view and lots of outlets to charge electronic devices, and a cool art exhibit called Cloudscape for kids to play on while they wait for their flight.

Busy, but quiet, good place to make a flight connection!

The airport was clean, the ladies bathrooms may not be the best but it is cleaned frequently. I was there for around 5 hours; during that time I went to the bathrooms about 4 times and overall I didn't have to worry about things being very unsanitary.

A small crowded airport with limited expensive food choices, but what can you do, you are trapped.

I have never been to an airport that did not have ac. This airport is in Florida, where the temperature outside is already 90 degrees. It's unacceptable to sit in a hot muggy and overcrowded airport. Also the terminal I am in does not have a good selection of restaurants. I'm from the dc area and even on a chilly day the waiting areas are set to a comfortable temperature.

Perhaps the most unhelpful and non family friendly airport in the USA. TSA agents couldn't give less of a crap and move at a turtles pace. If I could rate this place with a negative star rating I would. Useless with a capital U

The most un organized airport I ve ever been too, especially U.S. customers. Just automate the jobs of the people who work their because their absolutely useless. Just stood in line for 2 hours and missed my connecting flight.
