TSA workers are so rude! I have flown many times in multiple airports but these TSA workers are terrible. They have no respect for anyone. A little girl was walking through and they were treating her like one of the adults that they speak too. I was in shock as how hateful and rude they were. We then got past them and went to get a pretzel and the employees there were on their phones and didn t care about anything. Desperate need of improvement on customer service!!

Fort Lauderdale Terminals 1 and 3 now have a racket going where only cabs that have paid for "special passes" may get in line and pick you up. Last night I waited in line over an hour for a cab while the cab stand supervisor waived literally DOZENS of perfectly fine cabs away from the stand. Its outrageous and a terrible disservice to the arriving passengers. I have been traveling in to FLL for twenty years and its never been like this!

I ate from a restaurant here that had a fine salmon burger!!! It was soooo good I could have eaten 3 of them easily.

Constantly speaking over the intercom system. Volume and frequency of announcements makes it impossible to relax.

Very old looking. Extremely dirty. As soon as I stepped off the plane there were roaches everywhere. Trash was all over the place. Customs was the same way and it smelled horrible. The bathrooms smelled like they haven't been cleaned. This is not a good way to enter a country. I had to wait for over a half hour for a shuttle bus to take me to pick up my car rental. The conditions and services are horrendous.

One of the worst airports I ve ever been to. So crowded and disorganized

The Fort Lauderdale airport is disgusting and run down!! The AC barely works and it smells like a dirty public restroom. I've never been so ashamed to be a florida resident. They say they are doing renovations but I dont see anything being done. It's GROSS!! And the employees are all rude badly mannered. TSA is unorganized and unprofessional. Just Get rid of this airport all together!! And for those traveling just pay the extra $50 to go through Miami international airport.

The customer service does the business. I firmly believe that the airport should invest more effort to provide a good service to those who enter and leave. The airport exists because people have to travel to other countries for different reasons, and I believe that people and their travel needs do the airport business. I received very bad treatment for several workers at costumer service, bad answers, bad attitudes, and lack of information, and not only to me, but to other people. I do not want to generalize but on March 10 of this 2019 (international airlines) I had an experience that made me write to those who have the responsibility to make possible a change of attitudes in the workers in relation to the clients and make possible a change of attitudes in the workers in relation to the clients.

Very attentive staff very attentive. But they must improve the arrival of international flights. Long rows of hours in the review.

This airport could be a lot better and appealing to the traveller as it is the point of entry/departure of a major tourist area. Leisure options are very limited. It's currently under renovations, so it's expected to improve.

Good free wifi. No restaurants that you can access until you check in, and they don't check you in until 4 hours before your flight, so good luck if you get here very early. Design feels unfriendly and tons of airport employees walking around looking at everyone.

This airport needs more seating, more plugs, more restaurants, more shops and just in general more space. The lack of any plug sockets in the brand new terminal area is a shocking oversight. There are no water bottle filling stations, no moving walkways, no plugs and uncomfortable seats. Some of the bathrooms are dark and even had graffiti. Very few restaurants and those that are here are stupid expensive and have massive wait times. All the employees are shockingly miserable and don't seem to care. Don't get me wrong, the flights here are cheap, but the airport sucks for any layover over an hour or two. There are no terminal maps showing the location of stores and food and the wayfinding is just bad in general. Didn't go through security but it looked like utter chaos when I walked by... And let me reiterate, the brand new areas of the G gates have no plugs, which is the stupidest design choice I've seen in some time.

The new terminal 4 is awesome. Great shops, restaurants, cafes, etc. If you have time, walk over here to eat, way more options than the rest of the airport. This airport is way better than MIA. Always take it if you have a choice.

$16 bucks for an underwhelming sandwich, coffee, and bottled water. This should be illegal. How is it possible that water is not provided for free?

The food and beverage choices in Terminal 2 are terrible and subpar. The Bagel restaurant bagels are so old and stale. The Italian restaurant serves food as if we are still in the 1980's. On a average , I stand in line 10 minutes at the Starbucks. Has anyone left the FLL airport to visit how other cities are creating a healthy and creative food experience? So disappointing....

Very clean, easy to navigate, car rental is really close to the terminals and it was a fast and easy experience to return my vehicle, and it was a fast and easy experience to get from the security checkpoint to my gate. Thank you, FLL!

It is an airport where you cannot miss it, it has simple signposts. The problem is to park in front to leave the passengers, there is no one directing the traffic

Spirit airlines line was slow. But the service was fine. What I didnt feel comfortable is that they dont seem to clean and desinfect the wheelchairs after each passenger.

Freezing cold, bring a jacket. Not busy when we flew in for a cruise but horribly crowded after the cruise. People were sitting all over the floor. Two tiny water fountains with no extra spot to fill a water bottle. Bathroom was clean. Huge line for the delta sky club. Food options were limited in the airport. Supposedly it's going to be expanding, but for now it is small and uncomfortable.

This airport is a little outdated but efficient. Arrival and Departure was a success without any complications which is a big deal for me. Great shuttle service to rental car center. Driver was very friendly and helpful. Overall good experience

Flew in on 3/28/17 and could see that terminal B was very busy. Flew out on 4/9/17 and it was no better. It took an hour for my wife and I to find a place to sit, which was not together. Half an hour later, we did get to sit together, but if we had not been quick it would not have happened.

As others have noted, lines were horrendous for any food services. This concourse is probably half the size that it needs to be.

I love that It's a small airport. So walking with luggage is less cumbersome than a bigger airport.

SPIRIT: This airline is a scam, they charge a little cheaper for tickets and then very expensive for each luggage regardless of its size or weight, I do not recommend it, only if they travel without luggage it can be a little cheaper

Generally short lines (depending on time of course) - airport seems a bit dated however though.

I went to get a pretzel at a stand and the people there were really mean, they stole my bag so I had to call the police. luckily I got my bag back but I don't recommend going here. USE A DIFFERENT AIRPORT.

i like the restaurant and the store are decent price

Easy airport, nothing like flying in on a business trip with no hassle.

Very crowded on weekends, and the circular design creates longer lines for everyone. What genius made everyone have to go through all four Terminals, no matter which one your plane is at?

Overcrowded and with only two security lanes for the entire terminal 2.

Inconvenient in comparison to other international airports. Bus Access to terminal 1 isn't easy, especially if you have multiple pieces of luggage...no baggage carts available. No bueno if you are traveling solo. It's improved over the years but definitely needs a little more...

Horrible place. If you're a vegan like me you'll starve. I've been here waiting on a flight that's been delayed by Delta three times. We didn't get a food voucher until the 2hrs after the second cancellation. I attempted to eat a pasta dish at this pizza/meatball restaurant and it was horrible. I find it funny how people with gluten issues and nut allergies can be thought about, but not vegans. I've had better memories at funeral's. Never again.

The best place to land/take off, from/to South Florida.

I have been flying in and out to the fort lauderdale-hollywood international airport for about 20 years now.

I always feel safe secure especially in these challenging times with covid-19 they have taken all precautionary measurements to keep us the passengers and all of their staff safe they have , sanitizer stations throughout the airport.

I think it's horrible that they price gouge people who are stuck at the gates. Classy.

TSA precheck was amazingly fast. I want to say less than a minute. But just about everywhere to purchase food or snacks was closed for early morning flights. Get your food before coming here!

Never had a hiccup here. If I did it was with the airlines. Just wish their parking was a little friendlier (more entrances than 1)

Horrible WiFi. Lack of outlets. Not a lot of places to eat. The only positive aspect of this airport is that the security is fair quick and efficient.

I have traveled through this airport for more than 2 years specifically for spirit and for me it is one of the best, I have seen that there are those who complain about customs delays but if they do not take the necessary time after the problems come and everyone complains because, for not wanting them to take care of their safety, there is every tare out there more bad is to spend it with a bb in his arms, the diaper bag and also have to take off your shoes and the rest. For me the best and most organized not how the kennel of Miami.

Love this airport. It's small and easy to find your way around.

I make about 6 drop off/ pick ups of family members each year. I always feel like I'm breaking the airport rules when doing so. There are lanes for shuttles and lanes for taxis and lanes for valet parking but very little direction for the general public. There are always police cars with their led lights flashing. No one directs traffic. I find it chaotic.

Miami international is good to and this is too wow nice place

On a Sunday morning in March, horrible experience. Understaffed, far too few buses from rental car facility to the terminal. We waited in am endless line for 40 minutes (!) to get on a shuttle. Traffic around the airport was at a crawl. People were missing flights. Obviously the airport is stretched beyond its capacity. Be warned.

Try to avoid this airport if you are coming from abroad as customs is ridiculously slow, for domestic flights this is fine.

They only announce international gate changes ( not domestic ) all the restaurants close at 9, not only that but on their website they claim they have 24 hours restaurants, like what type of airport is this??? Would give a lower score if I could.

Seriously, this is worse designed airport I have flown into and while I don't fly all the time. I do fly frequently. The food is pretty typical of airport food, bad and expensive so no surprise there. But getting in, out, and around this place is ridiculous. I don't know if it will change after the construction they say is coming, but right now it completely sucks!

What airport runs out of fuel? Who would have anticipated that there would be planes scheduled to arrive that needed fuel? This ridiculous mistake resulted in an over two hour delay to our flight and almost everyone else in the airport as well!!!!

Pretty empty place, these days, but either way it's a nicely laid out airport. Easy to get around.

Worst airport. Everyone is super rude and moves extremely slow at food areas. Music is obnoxiously loud and the worst elevator music I ve ever heard in my life.

Nice airport, just be sure to show up two hours before your flight .

Fast, easy! 100x easier than MIA. Not much as far as restaurants, bars

People getting on flights no practicing social distancing. It's hard to protect yourself if you have others not keeping distance. They need more security enforcing social distancing. Airport employees need help. Bathroom no hot water no paper towels.

This is a mediocre airport at best. Yes food portions at some restaurants are good but others are not so choose wisely. The bathroom attendant near the G10 gate was in there on the phone while multiple stalls were missing toilet paper. She was unbothered. While traveling here on Spirit we were delayed on arriving because there was no ground crew available. Then our departure was delayed four hours. I have been through this airport several times and it always seems to have issues. They can definitely do better. Maybe this is all a ploy to get us to fly in to Miami instead.

Horrible airport. I got through it on a lay over, the immigration took 2 and a half hours with nasty staff, useless steps and poor kids crying. Once you pass this immigration WALL, you have to pay 5 dollars for a cart (non refundable)! No lockers either but a company that registers your bag after having to email (!) 3000 different proofs that the bag is yours and that you really have a flight through the airport, ending up paying anyway 7 dollars for terrible opening hours (only open from 9:30am until 5:30pm). Only one type of ATM and VERY few restaurant options. One thing there is for sure: a million luxury cars passing through.

Great...this airport is located right near downtown Fort Lauderdale and services domestic and international flights. Its also close to Everglades port sea terminal for different cruises and also close to Hollywood city. Coming in or going out is pretty simple. From the planes you have a wonderful view of beaches cities. Recommended.

It was a breeze going through TSA, obviously there is not many people flying nowadays

Very clean and easy to navigate. Driving in, United is not on any of the signs. I was uncertain which terminal United was in. Some decent restaurant choices inside. Got to watch someone get arrested at the TSA line.

-negative 10 stars. Dirty smells like a sewer. Wifi is weak. Four dollars for water. No helpful information from info desk. Old terminals not up to date in tech. Old dirty toilets. Rude and vulgar sales person at duty free. Lazy cop weighing 300 lbs easily, ignoring peoples questions waddeling around the gate. What a joke. I'm embarrassed that foreigners see this as their first impression of USA. #disgraceful #nationalembarrassment #Floridasucks

Do not fly internationally through Fort Lauderdale. I had the worst experience and delays through customs. The airport was not ready for the influx of travelers. They did not have enough staff working, the staff working were rude, and there was no organization to the line. Everyone I was around and in front of, had all missed their flight this morning. Do not take the chance and have a connecting international flight through Fort Lauderdale.

As a Miami native, this airport is a PERFECT contrast to Miami International. Lines are fairly smooth, crowds are fairly moderate and not overbearing. If you're flying into South Florida vacationing or considering options to fly out, this is a cheaper ticket either way and a much smoother spot.

This airport is ok in terms of customer assistance but is behind in times just a bit.

This airport is great, a bit smaller than MIA international Airport, that's also why it is so easy to arrive here. Customs is easy and fast. But the airport is far from downtown Miami or south beach, in case those are your destination.
