Terrible. TSA was rude and abrupt and totally inefficient as was all of the airport staff. Very dirty and disorganized. Drop off and pick up areas were horribly disorganized and dangerous.

I feel alone on the planet ... where did people go?
My favorite airport, it s small and easy to navigate through. Also parking is a breeze. I rather go here than Miami any day!
As operactions continue to grow at this airport, the madness and chaos do the same.
Besides heavy volume of travelers on and out, there is rough environment when it comes to drive through it, BSO officers parking patrols in the middle of few travel lanes creating an even more stressful atmosphere among drivers, parking very irregularly curbside and narrowing travel lanes at any point. Officers not always in a good mood to genuinely help, but to strictly "enforcing safety rules" that in many cases have little or nothing to do with safety. It's like showing off they are in control.
How can these attitudes be of a warm, friendly welcome to visitors, domestic or foreigners, without compromising the purpose of keeping everything safe at all times..???
Great Airport - free internet, tri-rail access, & palm trees
Filthy dirty and extremely unprofessional employees in most sectors.
ABZOCKE, no handover and then debited from the credit card at once 300 without invoice. Allegedly the navigation system was missing. Guys, just make a handover report !!!!!!!!
Terrible airport! I have traveled all over the world and the TSA agents and restaurant workers at this airport were some of the rudest peop people I have ever met.
The TSA agent rolled his eyes and didn't respond/smile when I said hello.
Then I waited at the counter with about 6 min or so with 5 others where the sign said "place order here." The workers kept looking at us and walking past. Not a single worker asked to take our order. One guy even stared at us and walked off.
Worst airport service in my life.
Small and Fast Airport with Curtious staff...Not much Shopping or food options... but decent enough to pass a hour.
Customer service was not very nice. My husband was walking with a cane we requested a wheelchair never came. My husband had to go through the terminal checkpoint standing on a cold floor which made his broken foot shoot up with pain. His back started hurting and he was in agony the whole flight. Never had the experience of fort Lauderdale being so bad. The bus terminal to the rental cars too far from the exiting door. So walking was agony again. The drivers were nice but if I fly here again won't be anytime soon. The flight was not bad but customer service was lacking.
6 hour layovers are bad, but in FLL it s another level. No power outlets. Limited dining options. Basically an outdated shopping mall food court with gates here and there.
very nice and the cloud design in the A terminal is cool for kids. nice staff and TSA is quick
Horrible! Left us waiting inside the plane after landing for over an hour because their immigration department was too full
Terminal 3 was small, lacking in food options and the bathrooms smelled so bad I ended up waiting to go on the plane. I m assuming from other reviews that the rest of the airport was nicer.
Baggage claim was terrible. I had to sit and wait an hour before I received my luggage.
The line was a little bit too long, hopefully that's just because of covid
I want to thank 4 of your employees (I do not know their names) i was coming in from Barcelona at 12:30 am on the 17th and was not familiar with your airport and was tired and lost and had a huge heavy backpack on. It was in Terminal 4 downstairs and I asked the first lady how to get o T1 She said first of all we are going to get that pack off of you and get a service cart So awesome for someone to notice let along help. She got me on my way an I still was lost I ran into a second employee and asked again she said oh come with me and got me to the terminal trans. The two gentlemen on the train took time to made sure I got to where I needed to go. I had a 7am fligjr and stayed at the airport and felt safe.
Thank You
Easy to find parking and overall a much better airport than so many others. My advice-avoid MIA at all costs and go through fort lauderdale if possible.
A security guard at the checkpoint took out my laptop from my suitcase and didn t not let me know , he just said I m good to go. What is in the world? I left my laptop there I thought he just checked it out? I mean if the laptop does not allowed to be on board why didn t he just tell me I can t have it with me? What is the points that he just took it out like that? Omg there s many staffs with my work in there. What a stupid people to deal? I m so mad...
Airport very small, they can t seem to make up their minds on flight times though I don t blame them a storm was going on, not a lot of signage or seating space, overall I found it cramp and bland I probably won t return.
Was delayed and kept on the plane, it was late and I was headed to a connecting flight. What I encountered was an incredibly congested airport with extremely long waits at literally every point. The security staff was rude, and it didn t seem like there was much direction from the supervisors for managing the flow of people. I ve travelled all over the world and the US and this is the worst airport I ve ever been through. I will try to avoid it at all costs when flying.
Free WiFi in an airport is always a fantastic thing. Having to deal with the TSA is not. Agents at FLL were rude to everyone going through security, but at least the day I flew through here I got to keep my shoes on. Takeoff was also on time, which is always a benefit.
Impossible not to compare with Miami airport right? So = very bad. Few immigration counters, which unfold in the hour or so in line.
Very good I liked it very big follow me in instagram the_boy_julioo
It took us 4 hours to leave the airport after landing. This was because it was severely understaffed at all the stations we had to pass. Very dissatisfied, many elderly people sacked together.
Under construction, workers work even in the night time making it hard for people with long layovers to sleep. Not a 24 airport after 10pm there is only one food service open with limited items to choose from. The air port security kicks anyone staying for layovers at night out by baggage claim. Not accommodating at all for people who got screwed over on flights and are spending the night hours here.
It was not easy to find a parking space, it took us about 30 minutes.
Love this airport. Check points are always smooth and quick
Worst experience Ever with Airport transportation. Stood under the Rental Car Shuttle Sign for over 30 mins while 3 empty busses past us by. Think it may have been the same driver. We finally walked to the next terminal and then up to the footbridge to the rental car facility. Several airport employees that we past offered that it happens all the time. Once is too many...
Easy going one much better than Miami International Airport
Good signs. But the lines to buy food are too long. Coffee shops should have more people attending....
Security was extremely rude and nasty!!! This is not the first time they were like this.. love visiting Ft Lauderdale but can t stand the airport
Unorganized, unfriendly, and dirty. An easy improvement would be placing trash and recycling receptacles next to each other in a row, instead of randomly placed all over the terminal. Who wants to search for the proper place to recycle their water bottle? Sorry to say, this is the worst airport I ve ever been to.
This airport has grown A LOT in recent years. The addition of the new tarmac and terminal has increased capacity by a good deal. You ll find quite a few Spirit, JetBlue, and Southwest flights going through FLL. Which means it s heavy on the budget carriers, which means prices are really great! Almost always cheaper than flying out of MIA. The new terminal has a lot of great eating options, and even the older ones boast some news joints as well.
First big Airport I've ever flown in and out of, it's big enough that it can get a little confusing getting around, but you can always ask for directions. VERY smooth landing coming in, the crew on our flight from Asheville was all around Awesome. My first commercial flight was an all around great experience. The Airport process itself went smoothly also. As for the return flight home, the screening process went fast and the TSA staff were friendly also. There was over an hour plus flight delay and we ended up switching to another plane and the terminals were switched twice. But overall it went well.
Pre Check in: was no problem very nice and friendly staff. Helped you with everything.
Security check: be prepared, take off metal things like watches, . Heels , jacket. Take out electronics and everything will go smoothly. Listen and pay attention. (Hate when people argue = takes more time) just go with it. The TSA was quick and friendly. (Unless you are a problem)
Checked in:
A few souvenirs stores, $$ pricey (of course) a few restaurants and news shops. One clothing store so far. Went to the new wing (Jan 2018) nice and big, not a lot to do yet. Lots of seats, and places to charge up. Free WiFi.
Poor management and crowd control , being an International airport the baggage claim takes a lot of time .
I have always parked in Economy lot when leaving my car for several days & recently I went to FLL website on my phone for directions. I got there to find it had been closed to the public. We had to take the long back roads & & find parking in a garage on a busy day. We ended up being 10 mins late for check in & told we couldn't board for our vacation! We ended up being able to board but had to pay a lot more for parking in the end. We would have gotten dropped off. FLL should have updated their website sooner to reflect the Economy lot situation and made it a lot more clear.
I fly here often and the international terminal is a DISASTER. I can't understand how (in a supposedly first world country) it takes me (A CITIZEN) consistently 2 HOURS to funnel through 3 separate customs lines for no particular reason. It takes foreigners even longer and the staff is rude the entire time. It is a disgrace and FLL should be absolutely ashamed. This is the first look people have at our country and what a shameful look it is. Last week one of the international terminal employees took a woman's phone.
If I could give zero stars for this poop hole of an airport I would. HORRIBLE customer service, staff persons are rude.
Needs more seats at gates and more fast food restaurants
A wonderful place to relax while waiting on my flight back to London. All the signage was easy to see. I liked that because I have a slight vision problem. When the staff saw that I was wondering around, someone approached me and asked if they could help. I will try to use this airport for all my upcoming flights.
Happily surprised to see no line at the counter when I went to pick up my car mid afternoon on a Friday. The only glitch happened when I chose a car and went to the exit. They scanned the paperwork and car info and told me there was a problem with that car and I needed to go back and chose another one. That was a pain but once I got the next car everything was great. I would rent with them again.
I thought everything in this airport was great. The staff was very helpful and polite! I have one concern. The airport have the car rentals located upstairs for the customers convenience. I love that you don't have to get on a shuttle. I'm not sure if the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport is aware about the extremely horrible service that "Payless Car Rental" is giving. They have multiple complaints of scamming their customers and nobody could seem to get help. I'm asking this awesome airport to please be aware of this bad service. Please protect your customers from this car rental business. I am a victim of their scams and I can't get help anywhere. I figured that since I have received such great service from this airport's staff, that maybe you all could help.
Thank you,
A very desperate customer
Not the most impressive airport but has the basic restaurant/ stores. Plenty of bathrooms and there is a centrally located pet relief station for those with pets. Security was quick and there are outlets under the seats at the gates (which is definitely a plus because some airports have hardly any outlets). I got picked up in an uber and had to walk to a ride share area between two terminals (I came out at terminal one and the spot was between terminals one and two).
PS: people stay parked outside the terminals to pick up people which would never be ok at other airports that I m used to like CLT where they keep the traffic moving (they make you loop back around if the person you re picking up isn t there yet)
Is always so fast. Aditional thing about it is that you can sleep in the morning and nobody will bother you
From the arrival to the airport, the employees were hostile without education to say good morning or thank you! From the one in TSA to the person who attended me at Starbucks.
I don't usually leave a bad review, but I do it with the purpose of improving the service. A smile costs nothing and being polite either.
For the most part it s an easy airport. Parking can be hard because lots are always full.
Most the TSA agents are nice, it s the rude, entitled, miserable ones who think it s okay to ignore you, say rude, sarcastic comments as if we re suppose to know how to do their job. They really need to get rid of employees like this or have trainings so that they know it s not okay to consistently treat people negatively.
My two cents
Bright clean airport
Friendly staff
Lots of seating
Southwest is in terminal 1
They have mural covered walkway
Children's cloud shaped play area along with Starbucks cnn store and Hudson store
Easy to check in and out of attached to rental car agency
Absolutely the worst airport. We fly out of here rather than Miami because of price, unfortunately. Would ve been nice to know that Southwest s policy for international travel is to be checked in and through security an hour before boarding. And the people at the gate didn t even bother to offer help. I think I ll just take the price hike and start flying out of Miami. We have never had a good experience at this disgusting and trashy place.
Me and wife had a swift visit to this airport and we were thankful that it is simpler to follow and understand than the Atlanta Int airport lol
I would give this airport zero stars if I could. I'm not sure about the other terminals, but flying into terminal 4 via international is a DISORGANIZED NIGHTMARE run by rude, uneducated staff. First of all, why have 5 different international flights scheduled to crowd this terminal at once? I came in from Sweden along with Cancun, Bogota, Haiti, and Dominican Republic. ALL AT THE SAME TERMINAL. I witnessed idiotic staff screaming at passengers to get against a wall, put away cell phones or they'd take them (Not sure which law even stayed they can do that). Some passengers were families with small children getting treated like trash. This type of treatment from staff should be illegal. This airport really needs to clean house and accommodate the arriving airlines better. A HORRIBLE and totally avoidable experience.
The worst parking! No signs, very confusing. Parking supervisor Mahogany Baker was very rude and unhelpful, definitely is not fit for her position! There are signs for vallet, however. Nobody to help you or tell you where to go! Unbelievable!
they hire a lot of poor people from other countries there, there were hardly any white american employees, the people they hire are strange, i spent one whole day there in the arrival baggage area, the employees hang around all day sitting down a lot, some iirritate the custermers. One man approached me with a vacumn cleaner telling me that i am poor because i would not sleep in an airport, he purposely vacumned all around me to wake me and tell me off. The state of Florida is a really LOW CLASS place now with LOWER CLASS people running the show. That is Florida???
Large airport, flown in and out at least 6 times thus far. Some areas are much nicer than others. Lots of seating areas and good variety of food options.
This is one or the dirtiest airports I been to in need of a remodel asap bathrooms are disgusting
I love this airport. Way cleaner and much less cluttered compared to nearby Miami International Airport.
Traffic flows even with high volume of cars and is not as congested as MIA.
Generally a nice airport. Parking can be dicey. It always seems to be extremely busy. Finding your way around can be a challenge.
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is one of the two major international airports in Southeast Florida and is a major domestic center and several international routes.
Fort Lauderdale - Hollywood International Airport (IATA: FLL, ICAO: KFLL, LID FAA: FLL) is an international commercial airport located in Broward, Florida, USA, about 5 km southwest of the area Fort Lauderdale's central business. The airport is also located near Hollywood city and is 21 miles (33.7 km) north of Miami.
This is a tiny airport, comparatively speaking. They are in the process of remodeling so there are limited options for refreshment. Being so small, you don't need as much time to check in and get to your gate, which is nice. Clean common areas and bathrooms. Rental facility is on site, but you still need to take a short bus ride (less that 5 minutes). Al in all, very nice, efficient airport!
VIP lounge missing!!!! The security is sometimes fast and sometimes veeeery slow. Nice place to spend time tho.
