I've been to probably many, many airports across the US, and this is one of the least desirable. There were two restaurants open in our entire gate. A Mexican, overpriced with mediocre food, and a Burger King, where the total wait including getting our food was forty minutes. Thankfully, we had time to kill. They messed up our order and had to redo it.
Airport is too small and too crowded. I prefer arriving to a more modern Miami airport. But TSA people at this airport are more profesional and polite.
Need better logistic and customer service. In general is clean with good stores and restaurants.
Great location and not busy like Miami airport, I like it.
Easy to get around and there are a lot of friendly people here!
I have been in developing countries' airports that are nicer than this place. Gross. When the third world has nicer airports than Florida it's time to find a new vacation destination.
Air Canada and Delta terminal ( #2) is not adequate to handle the traffic. Literally thousands of people at a facility designed to serve hundreds. Staff is doing their best but they have no chance. I was here a couple of years ago and the same sifns promising new facilities are still here. We will avoid this terminal at all costs.
Ground transportation is a nightmare! To get to the rental car center takes you a while....
A couple more buses would be a good investment for the coming year
We flew on Southeast airlines. Quick and easy check in and efficient boarding. Helpful staff and clean bathroom
The airport is cheap, but comes at a cost. It's very overcrowded (nearly everything seems undersized for the usage). Examples:
-very few food options (most shoved in too small areas)
-bathrooms are poorly designed for people flow, dark, and not very updated
-no outlets or charging plugs except that which is provided by the airline
-buses to rental cars are over packed
-seating areas are so crowded that you almost touch knees with people across from you
Pros:
-security was fast
-check in was easy
Checks, checks and always checks with endless queues. In Italy we contested the Identity card with fingerprints and here they also take it to enter Disneyworld
Got stuck at this airport after a flight cancelled. This airport really needs an update. Not very clean and the food services are a joke! Only good thing was fast secuity processing.
Everything was great love Love South West Air lines, The flight was wonderful the Airlines service that we received was super, the planes aren't crowded you have an empty seat in between you and whoever else sets next to you due to the fact that flight attendants had to wear masks during the whole flight and so did the customers, Southwest is taking all precautions to make sure that we fly safely.. and did I mention the prices are out of this world it is really cheap to fly right now so don't be afraid get out and spread your wings go with Southwest Airlines
Clean and the customer service was good. Security was nice yet thorough, which I appreciate.
No cell service anywhere for AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon. I can't not come back because I have to fly home, but okay.
Worst airport I have ever been in. Ceiling tiles missing,horrible seats,extremely difficult to navigate through and leave. Just go to Miami.
No long waiting times, but really has nothing good to eat.
This is a poor constructed airport. There is limited healthy eating places in the airport and the very few available are always packed. There is just a few charging station. It looks dirty and not well kept. Avoid layovers here if possible. It is increadable that such a busy airport has such a poor infrastructure.
I seriously think that the 5 start reviews are from people who dont travel much or dine by the airport.

First when I asked an employee where to park based on the terminal and gate, he gave me the farthest location. Lots of walking. Then I was told arrivals for ten gates was all coming from the same hall that you couldn't go down. Then when I looked for seating all there was for Al ten gates was 6 yes 6 seats. When I asked where we're all the seats I was told he was not in charge of the chairs. Then the flight was delayed 45 minutes. No place to sit, so I'm in a handicap chair. Worst airport ever.
Central concourse location.Seated in area with water all over the floor, waiter Julio informed walked away when informed of the water. husband had to ask someone else to clean the floor. Female greeter came to clean floor with attitude. Asked greeter for managers name never received. Food was ok,served quickly.
It's nearly always busy but manageable. Plan well ahead to find parking if you need it. It used to be the best deal for flying out of SoFlo but unless you're flying Southwest Miami might be bettet.
Very good and there are people who speak Spanish not like in JFK that. If they speak Spanish, they will answer you in English, even our own compatriots

Nice facility but it can t handle cruise days. Local policy for check in is 2 hours before takeoff so thousands of people wandering around with no where to sit - lots of space but limited seating. Wifi becomes unusable during cruise days as well.
The airport is good, but some old stuffs. Parking is really bad and often hard to find spots. Also the parking is far from the terminals.
Clean, organized and welcoming. Nice restaurants, gift shops and they have a TSA line. Definitely customer friendly.
Possibly one of the roughest and least favorite airports that I've ever been to. I've flown out of this airport four times now and my flight has been delayed every single time, for no apparent reason. There is little to no seating or food options here so if you do get delayed, bring your patience and portable charger. Also, very poor air circulation in the airport. Smells like BO and is hot as balls. The terminals don't connect on the inside so if you have a connecting flight in a terminal be prepared to go outside and wait for a shuttle that only comes once every thirty minutes or prepare to walk.
When I thought it couldn't get worse than MIA. Getting two people through immigration took us close to 2 hours (one travelling with 10yr US Visa other with EU diplomatic passport).
Then we reached the luggage room and I just thought to myself you've got to be sh*tt*ng me. No luggage on the bands just several piles of suitcases on the floor with little paper signs on top indicating which flight this belonged to. The line for customs wasn't a line but a snake going 1,5 times around that entire building (of course no soda machines or anything like that)
I didn't expect anything fancy but this is one messed up airport. Depressed people sleeping everywhere little infrastructure...........

Under construction and Covid19 has wrecked air travel as we know it. Nothing is the same
TSA service terrible. They didn t have enough personnel. You arrive early to airport like they advice you to do and then you need to wait around 2 hours just for them to start to work.
This airport will connect you to a lot of destinations but the airport is very crowded and dirty. There aren't enough bathrooms so there are always long lines and dirty stalls.
Great airport, not much food wise is open at the moment due to Covid.

Worst airport I ve been to. Didn t have enough signage and therefore we couldn t figure out how to get to our next flight and had to ask for directions. The terminals aren t directly connected so we had to exit, walk outside, and go through security again. The security process was very slow and a bit unorganized. The gate also didn t have signs to highlight what flight they were currently boarding and our gate had a number of flights boarding soon after one another. I wouldn t recommend for connecting flights or if you do make sure you have plenty of time in between.
Nice clean airport, sky cap was great, fast TSA checkpoint even with government shut down!
TSA workers are ridiculously rude and no help! There were roaches in the woman's rest room, and no one gave a crap! They told me to go back down, use the restroom there and go back through security. Smh...
Everything is slow here, you'll espend hours in the lines
Avoid flying here if you can fly directly into Miami. Waiting three hours while 5 planes came in and 4 boarder guards chatted with each other and checked passports slowly. Older people were almost passing out in lines of exhaustion. Extremely poor customer service even though the customs officer who we had with was friendly (a relief after a horrible wait!). Fun times.

Overall, security was pretty painless which is almost all a traveler can ask for. However, in a decent sized airport there should be easy connection to ALL terminals inside AND outside security. The fact that flying a different airline restricts me solely to a single terminal is absurd, along with the fact that there is only ONE food option outside of security... in the entire airport. Basically this means if you re flying with friends on a different airline, you can t eat with them or spend any time with them before or after security checkpoints. With loved ones wanting to spend time prior to departure, this airport makes it nearly impossible to grab a bite to eat before someone goes into security or meet up after security. Poor layout.
Airport is filthy. Restaurants (including fast food) are closed by 10. The grab and go eat places are empty

Absolute worst airport I have been to in the world. Inbound customs is absolutely the worst. Weren't allowed to depart the plane because customs was full and then took over an hour just to get to the gate of my connecting flight. Avoid if you can
Nice airport overall, not too big but not very small either. Facilities were nice and clean, nice staff and easy to get in and out.
I travel for work often and this Airport has always been one of the least stressful to fly in or out of. Always work hard to make my flight easy! Anyone complaining about the food waits, etc. need to get a grip!

This airport is by far one of the nicest and cleanest airport in downtown area the stuff a very polite they are very knowledgeable so if you ask a question they will guide you and instruct you to the right place. I have flown from this airport multiple times and my luggage where always on time and plane was always departing on time. The convenient store inside the is not bad either you can grab a quick bite if you re waiting, and the food,drinks are very decent price and taste pretty good for the airport very secure so you don t have to worry about any kind of hassle of problems overall a great experience flying from this airport I high recommend.
The signage directing you to car rental area and other terminals is horrible. I had to ask 3 different people before I found my way. Then, on return to car rental, the same issue. We drive around 3 times before we got good directions. Most people were helpful...but even they acknowledged how bad the signage is in the airport and on the highway. Just wasted a lot of time trying to get to and from car rental.
Very disorganized TSA. Way too many workers just standing around. Disorganized at scanning. Land Shark bar STAY AWAY. The most pompous attitudes ever. Would rate no stars if possible.
