Every time I leave from FLL to New York, my flight is ALWAYS delayed. This month, the gate was changed from what was on my ticket but no announcement or email to this effect. So I missed my flight (thankfully the Jetblue help desk got me on the next one out). Very crowded, gate seating is limited. Bathrooms very far from gates. Food selection unimpressive.To their credit, the WiFi was working well, and security is generally fast moving.

Free unlimited Wifi, clean facilities, decent food, and quick security screenings. Not much to complain about
Security was rude and unhelpful when we got lost as we tried to ask them a question as of where to go. If you're flying here you better know exactly where you're going or you arent getting help and are not going to be treated well.
This is the worst airport I have ever been in. Carnival Cruise booked our flight home 6 hours after departure from ship. Upon arrival we were unable to check our bags for 4 hours. There are no seats available. I am traveling with elderly parents who are unable to stand for 4 hours. This is unacceptable not only on carnivals part but also this airport. The staff was rude and inconsiderate. A majority of the people were elderly and being spoken to so disrespectfully from the staff.

FTL is my go to when I fly to NYC. It's not one of the nicer airports but it's not bad. Food choices are OK depending on you gate. Chairs are suffice and charging stations are provided even thought hey could be laid out a little better.
This is one of my favorite airports. All the renovations they've done made it very efficient and it's beautiful inside.
The so called "friendliest airport" is horrible! The food choices here are limited and I had to wait 40 minutes just for a meal. The items are very overpriced, I payed 20 dollars for one sandwich, and the bagged snacks are 5 dollars, when I could buy them at a nearby gas station for only 99 cents! The workers are very impatient and rude, whenever I asked for help, customer service, etc. they were not helpful, and some completely ignored my questions! There is no lounges for luggage, no showers, and this place is very unorganized. I'm definitely not coming here anytime soon!

Be careful. They put security holds on your credit card. We just got back from Florida. For a three hundred dollar rental they tied up our major credit card for five hundred dollars for ten days. We were furious. Not everyone has a huge creidt card allowance. There are still car rentals out there that dont' do this. Car was terrible too. Needed shocks. Made noise and water in the under trunk. Terminal really hot and staff not courteous and appeared to be trainee.
If I could do it again I would fly out of Miami. Not enough outlets and spotty WiFi always makes people a little cranky. Throw in over crowding and bad food choices and everyone has an attitude.
Overall our Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International airport is very pleasant. It is nice and the restaurants are very good. I have always had a pleasant experience here and it is usually well kept.
It was my first time flying alone and my first time traveling with my medical condition, you would think that they would be a little bit more helpful to make my trip go a little smoother then it did but of course not just let me struggle the whole time and WATCH!! me struggle.

Food is overpriced here the pizza place was absolutely disgusting pizza was so greasy. The bathroom by gate 1 is so nasty when I went smelt bad the entire 6 hours I was there for.
This airport is terrible! From TSA officer Ponce being extremely rude and condescending to people, to the complete lack of organization made returning through customs a nightmare. I would recommend paying a bit extra and using another airport.

If possible do everything in your power to go to Miami International Airport.
FLL Airport is a little smaller than most major airports, which can allow you to travel with a little less stress if you are bothered by large facilities/crowds. However, that is the ONLY viewable upside and not even a significant one because the lack of employees there, from TSA to airline agents, only work to make it a miserable experience. Workers' inability to perform their own jobs would make even the most novice flyer cringe. In my case, apathetic TSA workers, lack of comfortable seating and chargers at the gate, and overall poor amenities in the terminal made me regret not flying out of Miami.
The downsides at FLL far exceed any positive one can come up with. The accommodations/necessities needed for a quality airport are lacking on all fronts. To make it a true competitor for today's aviation landscape, quality, cleanliness, and overall options need a major upgrade.

Bad I missed it because the attendance didn't tell the lau over people to remain at the zone 4 where we would be aboard the same plane so I'm still in orlando florida awaiting snith flight 5 hours later...
To Detroit and my big luggage went with the other fligh... Not a good experience

Very limited restaurant and shopping services, that are mostly stupid expensive. The wifi is trash and the layout isn t extremely intelligent (forgivable since they are going through construction.) Not many power outlets either so bring a portable charger. I hope the construction fixes some of these issues but currently this is one of my least favorite airports in the US. (And i am fairly well traveled in the US)
Horrible staff, extremely rude & flippant towards guests. The terminal 2 Delta Sky-club is the smallest & dingiest one I ve ever seen. Overall I would avoid this terminal if at all possible.

If you are flying to South Florida use the Ft Lauderdale Airport , things move faster here than Miami Airport; short lines, easy access to highways, rent a car center, easy parking, etc. They are almost done remodeling all terminals. Very modern airport
Flew out of Terminal 4 on Spirit and had no issues with the airport itself- just the airline. My one gripe is the long wait for the rental car shuttle bus. It would be great if they could have a pathway to Terminals 3 and 4 so you don't have to wait for the overcrowded bus.
The rude curbside checking guy at Delta was bad. Then the first TSA agent was uncaring and nonchalant when we spoke to her. The second TSA agent never even looked at us when asking for our ID and boarding passes. This airport was not very friendly this morning. Bad look for Ft. Lauderdale.

It s not a bad airport, but you won t not want to go in terminal 2 where delta is because they re doing construction there, I would recommend to go to the Miami airport delta terminal for now since their construction there, I m glad they renovate at the airport and now we have to wait until MIA gets its renovations done.

Everything moves very slow if feels like you are in the 80s because everything is very outdated.The bathrooms have a wait time regardless of when you happen to fly there.no good food choices at all. Only one place serves breakfast and the line was over 20 people long.TSA is very demanding and rude at all the gates . They make you feel like you are in a military drill. The signs are very confusing and even misspell.parking is very expensive for the service that they offer. Valet parking for 25 regardless of how long you need to use it for. I went around asking for boarding gate F an hour later someone pointed out that they had switch F to G . No signs indicated the changes.if you are final destination is Miami don t waste your time going there because Uber wants 50 dollars to bring you to Miami from there.the taxis are a complete monopoly and a rip-off. I would never fly there again and definitely would not recommend.
Nice Airport and easy to navigate as long as you have the right terminal number. TSA went fast (5-10 minutes). The highway around the airport is under construction (Jan 2013), so be alert if your driving, it can get tricky.
The Baggage handlers were the BEST!!! l..they were very helpful, very professional and so nice to me and my Husband.. We booked our luggage in for a return to Manchester UK on Friday 3rd November at around 1:45pm. Thank you very much Sonia and collegue. xxx

This is an excellent airport. It's not very big, with only four terminals, but take a plane in this airport or arrived is very comfortable and efficient. Everything is very clean and organized. The staff is kind and professional. I hardly recommend this airport.
When returning your car at the car rental pay close attention to the 15 mile an hour speed limit on the ramp to garage.
If not you will be sorry!!

I called him back because i couldnt find it and he gladly transfered me to the delta customer survice. He was so nice so profetional and great help. My experience was great here, very clean well decorated airport. The location is great and in my opinion it's easier to get out of than Miami International.
This place smells bad. I was at terminal E6 and the carpet smells bad, then I went to E7 and the carpet smells like wet dog, now at E10 and it also smells like vinegar. Please clean this place

Worst airport experience ever. Coming back to usa from intl flight. Long lines, but just not helpful people. Staff were rude, just kept repeating the same words without explaining or helping. 5 different people were loud, blunt, unhelpful, uncooperative, just rude...and almost all of the people did not speak English. Will never go back.
