The TSA people was very rude to me, they only miss to make me a CT scan with contrast to check my inside without any apparent cause. I ask them twice if I had a problem and just put face of thugs. The tsa can do their job without mistreating people who pay their salaries. remember that you are our employees. The terminal three need to be updated. All outlet are loose and you cant charge your devices.

Realtively small for the amount of traffic that comes through, this rundown, sorry excuse for an airport lacks ample restaurants, seating, separating sections for seating and the miniature convenience-like stores they have, among many other factors.

My largest complaint is surely the poor orchestration of automotive traffic in, and particularly out of the airport terminals. It was a blessing from God that no one was run over or there wasn't a multiple car pile up. That is, after waiting in a line to leave the airport for about 10 minutes.

The extra distance needed to walk to get to your parking section, even if you are located in a closer parking spot was simply the icing on the cake.

Poor service. Was told at 720 AM that they open at 730 AM. Website says 700 AM. Went back after 730 and stood at the counter for about 5 minutes to even be acknowledged. At least the sandwich was ok. Visit on Feb 17.

Terminal 4 is a joke. I was amazed at the difference from one side of the airport to the other. We came in through security and that was a disaster but only due to grouchy people and technical problems. Once in the airport it was beautiful but we hadnt walked to our gate. The difference between the gate G to F is like walking from a nice part of town to the worst. There was no place to sit garbage all over the floor it stunk and all 4 of the charging stations were either taken or not working.

They need to work on public signs, gate movement, and MOSTLY - PROVIDE PUBLIC PARKING that is remote $15 per day only option...come on people! Only reason I use this airport is MIA is even worse...lots of work to do Ft. Lauderdal Int'l

Horrible experience transferring from an international to a domestic flight. We were essentially told to exit the airport with our checked bags and re enter at the next terminal. This meant we were showing up at the ticketing desk 20 minutes before the doors were scheduled to close on our next flight. Furthermore, security took all of our items that had been purchased past security for our first flight, which included a Contigo water bottle that we had filled at our original airport.

There were signs for rechecking bags and connecting to flights, but when we showed up at that location it served no actual purpose other than to have someone to tell us to exit and re enter the airport.

We'll never fly internationally through here again.

Been in and out of many airports in my day, but this one was very, very nice!!! What I liked, besides it was not a huge airport that you take trains from one concourse to another, but it was very nicely decorated, even a nice park outside, and then they has a huge wall dedicated to employees art they made. Not only some very cool pieces of art, but what a way to showcase employees talents, but motivate them to use them!! Great Job!!

One word sums it up..HORRIBLE!!! Fly out of somewhere else if possible. I live in Jacksonville FL and took a recent trip to COSTA Rica. It was much cheaper to fly out of this airport and did not have to switch planes. So, I drove 5 hours. On departure the airport is old and overcrowded, not enough seats in the terminal. The airline was late arriving, which made things worse. However, this was nothing. Upon arrival on a SATURDAY at 1230 pm from Costa Rica, the real fun starts. After debarkation, we waited about 20 minutes to go thru a self serve customs kiosk, which scans your passport and takes your photo, then another 20 min having a live custom agent do the same thing..ok..so still not to bad...then down to baggage, bags arrived quick ......then the bottom fell out, after getting your bag, you have to again, go thru customs and have your passport checked...even though u have done this twice already. This line of several hundred people was wrapped all around baggage claim. They do not look thru your bags, just checking your passport for the third time..it makes no sense..oh, and there is a little airport employee running around telling u do not use your cell phones in baggage claim or 500$ fine..I asked him whay and he said, ask the officer at customs.

The airport itself is fine, except for the rental car area. Drop off was a nightmare, Budget and Avis have "merged" and are on two different parking levels. In order to go to a different level, you need to leave completely and cir le the airport again.

Super clean, hand sanitizer stations every where, felt super safe without issues. Sorry to see air travel taking such a beating, airlines and airports are safer than going to the grocery store!!!

The layout of the terminal is inefficient. We had to take the 3 children and entire family out of Terminal 3 to get to Terminal 4. Very dangerous with all the traffic. Food stands are outrageously expensive. No Wi-Fi. Miami Int'l Airport is what an airport should be.

Airport is fairly easy to travel into, gates inside are very easily navigated through as well. Some of the staff here is lazy and very rude, an older woman at the United stand had a horrible attitude with everyone that passed through including myself and even lost my luggage on a previous occasion along with the person before or after me. She ended up switching the tags after I d left the stand to get past TSA. As far as rental cars and shuttles go, the rental car place was a bit hard to find, our bus was extremely packed and very uncomfortable. once we arrived we were taken to another spot where the shuttles separated depending on who you were going to rent with. Upon departing from this airport a few days later, there was only one shuttle running in terminal 1 in the afternoon during peak times and light up signs on the bus said it dropped people off at the terminals but when my boyfriend and I got on the bus he kicked us out and said he only went to the rental car drop off. Long story short, we walked over to our terminal and when we arrived he was parked right at terminal 4 where we had to go. Airport is cheap to fly to but service here is garbage.

Convienent but absolutely no customer service skills or proper communication by any of the employees which definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. Not everybody is familiar with airport processes.

The customs process is an absolute nightmare. There are 10 employees to point you to where to wait for hours, but only 4 to stamp passports. Connections are impossible unless you have all day.

I recently traveled through your airport and had a very troubling experience. I am a mother to a new baby and have to travel for work, so I find myself in and out of airports frequently.

I, like many other mothers chose to nurse my son, so while traveling I have to pump. While this is not a pleasant experience at most airports, typically I can make it work in a private family restroom. Your airport however did not have a private restroom. I asked several staff for suggestions and each said the main bathrooms were my only option.

Since the breast pump, like the majority of pumps requires an outlet this was not ideal. There are no outlets in any of the bathroom stalls so my only option was to sit on the floor in the common area of the restroom and use the outlet there in front of everyone walking in and out. This is not only awkward and uncomfortable for me, but also for everyone walking in and out.

It would be greatly appreciated if you would take steps to make your airport more mother/baby friendly. Especially seeing as this is an area many travel for vacation. This would not only be appreciated by pumping mothers like myself but also those traveling with a baby and nursing.

International Services has had U.S. citizens waiting in line for customs for over an hour, while non citizens pass through customs within minutes. Apparentally poor planning, as the excuse is "we had a rush of U.S. citizens arrive." They should know this information prior to arrivals and plan accordingly.

First time traveling from this or any airport. The TSA security checkpoint is ridiculous. You damn near have to be naked to go thru the scanner.only good part is there was less walking compared to MIA

They definitely get you in and out quickly!! My wife & I visited from Detroit to vacation & promote her book. Our flight home was delayed so we spent 8 hours here. Did some shopping, ate some food & met some really cool people

I was appalled with our treatment at the airport in September. We flew with my disabled son from Gatwick to Fort Lauderdale. My husband and I are both in our mid sixties. The care and assistance we received at Gatwick was exemplary. Our plane was late and we were very tired. First of all we were left on the plane 15 mins after everyone else. Then two porters arrived and didn't even say hello. We had extra bags on board because of our son and they didn't offer to help. We were unable to carry them. In the end I said if you want us to get off this plane you will need to help us. We then went through an unsmiling customs and arrived at the bus to take us to the hire car department. After putting our luggage and our son onto the bus we realised that one of our bags had been left at customs. One porter had put it down under another chair. We were upset but then one porter said. What do you want us to do about it with a shrug of his shoulders. My wife almost burst into tears. In the end the other porter said reluctantly that we could go on the bus and he would retrieve the bag and catch us up.

I really was appalled at the unfriendly and negative attitude af the staff and would think twice about flying into Fort Lauderdale again

This airport isn't what it used to be. We understand the growing pains from the expansion but what will ultimately lead to its downfall is the poor transportation options. Simple implementation of uber/taxi pickup points and reroute buses to a centralized area, would make this airport everyone's favorite again. In addition, the new bottlenecks from the express lanes causing delays for everyone.
Ironically, miami has several new intermodal stations. My new choice for international flights.

This is the worst airport I've been in, and I travel a lot! Avoid it if at all possible. Some of the terminals stink. It seems like the carpets need to be replaced or something like that. People are going to start getting sick from sick building syndrome and then maybe they will do something about it, when fines and lawsuits start to pile in.

...frankly my dear... I have very little good say about Florida.
However, this airport is my favorite!. While it is rather large it has a small town feeling- as opposed to some airports, easy pick up and drop-off
Great restaurants to choose from. Spacious, clean, Airport staff has always been more than polite to me.

Way much better than flying in and out of MIA. But FLL has its flaws too such as TSA's lengthy baggage check process with generally only ONE agent assigned to check the carry ons they consider suspicious. So, if you're rushing to catch a flight and your carry on is set aside for extra check, good luck as with the slow, one person check process, you'll never make your flight. Returning is a breeze if you're travelling locally. But, if you are coming from certain countries such as Jamaica, you will stand and wait close to one hour before they will release the luggage onto the carousel. So those travellers with connecting flights, those parents with tired babies and small children, the elderly and sick are not considered during the lengthy wait time. The worse thing is that passengers are getting away with so much on the flights that the luggage are not being scrutinized. But, racial profiling of flights and passengers is the norm at FLL and MIA so such discriminatory targeting is typical.

Awful. One of the worst airports to have a long layover at. Layout makes no sense, you can t go from terminal to terminal without going through security, so if you want to visit a shop or something in another terminal, it s a major hassle. The duty free shops are the tiniest I ve ever seen - a couple shelves of liquor and a couple shelves of perfume and that s basically it. They re really just kiosks, not stores. Prices are not very good for duty free. And they won t let you buy at any other duty free kiosk except the one near your flight, so if you want to buy something at one that they don t have at another, tough luck. Sometimes they will tell you oh yes we have that at the other one but they don t and then it s too late.

Few shops, mediocre restaurants, no good place to sit and relax between flights. I avoid FLL whenever possible.

I flew into FLL to get to Miami, using the train between FLL and Miami airport. The train is great. Cheap, fast, clean. The shuttle between FLL and the train station is a problem. It's a long ride. Bus is designed only to handle passengers, not luggage, which makes it difficult to board and disembark. A different vehicle--one with luggage storage--would be much more workable.

Great little airport, well laid out except for the traffic. There is a bit of a free for all at drop off and pick up. They have improved the ride share pick up by adding lettered signs so Uber or Lyft can say, meet at the "D" station between terminal 3 and 4. However, these ride share folks have to wait so far away it is often a 10 minute wait even though they are lined up waiting for you. Food is almost non existant right now due to COVID.

Amazingly bad. Having spent many, many hours in an airport, it's glaringly clear that this one just does not care. No clear instructions about locations, such as how and where to get rental cars (we were told things like, "out there" "just go to the end" and other vague, non-helpful statements. If you really search it out, signs are there, but are not easily found or seen) or which TSA security area to use (we went through one, then passed two others during our 15-20 min walk to our gate - clearly not the most efficient or direct route). You can feel the apathy and annoyance all around. This place barely puts up with its customers, and has no concept of customer service whatsoever.

Two stars b/c you can, indeed, get on and off a plane here safely, but for a US airport this place is seriously lacking.

I have to agree with the gentleman that said "people may be getting confused with MIA International airport" 1.) I'm not an employee at Ft . Lauderdale /Hollywood Intrnl, nor any of the airlines, or its affiliates. I'm just a joe'ette schmoe boring traveler. I have flown into and out of- this airport on several occasions. Each time, no problems. Most recent - a year ago. My husband and i flew from DFW(Delta) to Lauderdale on a very busy friday afternoon to take a cruise Saturday morning on Royal Caribbean -Oasis. (Not happy with that cruise, but, that's an entirely different story) landed easy baggage pick up, easy walk to find hotel shuttle. Easy navigation, friendly employees. Much cleaner and easier walk, than Miami International. After our cruise, we spent entire day on the beach. Clean beautiful real beaches. Unlike Texas. Flew out of Lauderdale (sadly) back to DFW, no problems. Love Florida so much, decided to become a (very near) future resident, instead of visitor!
