Very nice store, had everything you could want. Staff was friendly and helpful. I also gota give a shout out to the bagger in my check out lane. I wish I could remember his name but he was quick and careful putting everything in the right place and doubling bags when needed.

I like coming here, they are always stocked and the supervisors I see are respectful. The store is clean as well. I didn t have a bad experience yet there. There is a lady who make the birthday cakes, she is super nice.

It was my first to this store and my first time in new Jersey. It is not a Publox or Walmart but a good community store. Can you fine everything here no but they do try and cover everything that a house needs are. Inside was a bit small and could be a little more organized but it functional. Is it cheap no its not but it is affordable. Cashier need to be more friendly and conversational let th shoppers want to spend with you all. Customer service goes a long way.
ShopRite has everything you can ever once I love that extra jumbo shrimp for 1499 I love their 3/4 10 water precisely polar spring I love their 50 Cent canned goods I love their $1 sides I just love the variety of everything that they have to offer they sometimes can be a little expensive but it's well worth the money paid and also they always have coupons sent out and circulars every week

Get you out at a convenient time this shoprite has everything you need fast food take out and hot food already made. Good security present of police and loss prevention. And security. Out side parking lot. Customer service very helpful.

I was only shopping for frozen stir fry vegetables. I found them quickly and decided to get a chicken salad sandwich made by Shop Rite. With 5 items, I stepped in the express line and was out in no time. Good products and service. The parking lot was easy to maneuver in and out.

Today's visit was not bad...however it is usually very crowded, especially right after work 4 to 6 in the evening..they have lots of cashier's...but the shopping experience is not good because of the crowds..food selections are good, the hot foods bar is decent and the selection of hot foods is ethnic centered and tasty. I like to browse and crowds and browsing don't mix. Prices are good and the quality of the groceries is excellent. However it is never a pleasant shopping experience it's always crowded, long lines all make shoppers irritated and the staff work hard to make checking out easy... We need another ShopRite in our city. I drive to Kearney or Hillside to avoid the crowds.
It's always a pleasure to go to shoprite early morning, except at the beginning of the month if you like getting in and out quick.
The most complete ShopRite in the area, also the newest. The prepared food selection. Is really big from Asian to Italian. The prices are ok on most of the products but overall a nice place.

This is one of the best shopping centers in Essex County. I'm happy Ras Baraka realizes that the people of Newark deserves the quality atmosphere to shop as every other community.
People here need an attitude adjustment. They do know they get paid to be there right? Rather drive way out of my way to a different shoprite than come to this one.
I come all the way from Perth Amboy to shop at ShopRite in I think they the only ShopRite they sell collard greens and different varieties of food precooked and taste very good I'm very pleased I would have gave you five stars but you don't have the refrigerator with the dog food that needs to be refrigerated in it
They are pretty fast don't have to wait long on line I use western union there all the time I send money to my girlfriend in Maryland sometimes 2 times a week
Its not safe to shop there. The staff treat you as though you are going to take things out of the store. The atmosphere is horrible.

This in a really large and clean store. The Bakery here makes cakes to order. The staff members are very helpful. Very well stocked. If you don't see it. Ask staff they'll get it for you. If unavailable. They will gladly give you a rain check on all sale items. Wheel chair accessible and public restroom

I love it because how prompt and Curtious the employees are I shopped online and received the greatest service when picking up my Groceries the only problem I have with them is that they said I couldn't use my NY State ID but they gave me my Groceries anyway which I'm glad but since I refuse to get a NJ State ID I will go shop in person but it's a really great store with the best discounts ever.

The departments I liked the most were produce, meat (butchers on deck and they have Prime steaks!), and seafood. The deli section is good but there is a wait. Some pantry items are more expensive here than the Shop Rite in East Orange, BUT they do have them in stock more often. And it's not freezing cold like the Shop Rite in West Orange.
The staff in Deli and the fish market are extremely friendly and helpful.. Like anywhere it's hard to keep items stocked but they try very hard. I've honestly had nothing but good experiences here my only issue is with other customers!
Clean environment, wide variety/selections, stocked well and the hot food is restaurant quality! Additionally, I sometimes utilize ShopRite from Home..it's the best service for a busy family. Those that work within that service are the BEST!!!
This store has everything, you need for your everyday needs. Even when you don't want to cook order your cooked food to go.

I am so glad they opened this store just over a year ago. I love that I can get everything here from raw blue agave/tofu noodles to eggs and kitty litter. They have great deals with the ShopRite card as well. Newark really needs more of this.
