Shoprite Supermarket Review

It gets very busy in there. so if your in a rush that is not the store for you. you will be waiting in the checkout line for at least 10 to 15 minutes

Well stocked and they have most things the other Shoprite don't have

The amount of police (uniformed & plainclothes) have you edgey and expecting something bad to happen. Could be a little cleaner as well.

Found everything I needed and was reasonable on the prices. Only gripe is them not enforcing 15 items or less express line. From my experience, they don't enforce express lines rules anywhere, so I can't knock them for it. I do hope they lead the way on it though.

Oh yes, we're back... me and my family will keep coming back. Awesome store and now they have the hotdog stand with soda, water, and juices. ShopRite is out there playing some good music right there at the hotdog stand. Ok, Oh yes, Before you even go in the store. You go ShopRite...!!!

For quick shopping excursions, I like this place. The prepared food section is decent. However, earlier this week while there, I noticed a young woman eating with her gloves on, but didn't change them once she was finished. She just continued with whatever prep work she was doing.That was a little bothersome. The cashiers could be a little friendlier, but they are not overtly rude. The store in general is clean and the shelves are usually stocked. Overall, I like it.

The employees are nice thiers a person at the door greeting you with a hello & smile. The priduce is fresh, the prices are good the employees are helpful. Thiers also hot food available & free fruit for the kids or babies of appropriate ages to eat if & when they get hungry while you're shopping. Thiers also other stores around to shop in. I enjoy my shopping experience there hope you will too.

Busy place, but sound management in general. Highly competitive prices. An excellent place to shop in the off hours. A decent place to shop when busy, but be prepared for a long wait at the checkout.

Big new ShopRite clean lots of hot food and prepared food to go. But be warned if you go around 5 during the week the place is packed so try to go earlier in the day

I really like shopping there the store clerks are friendly and helpful. Shoprite is always well stocked.

Horrible horrible HORRIBLE....I ordered a cake on a Thursday to be picked up at 12 30 for my son's 5th birthday party..I AM STILL HERE AT 245 PM waiting for my son's cake. I also asked for one character and they didnt tell me until I got here that they didnt have the character I wanted...this is ridiculous!!!! Never coming here again

Male Deli worker with the henna beard was extremely disrespectful to a customer. And he shouted to another worker using the F word in front of customers. I gave 4 stars because of what's available at this location: hot bar, salad bar, pizza station, etc.

Great place for good food at good prices. Plenty of parking and there is even handicap spots close to the door for those of us who need it. It's my place to stock up.

This ShopRite is great compared to East Orange, the shelves are stacked and neat, all round clean. The staff is nice everything is good.

There is big enough room to maneuver my shopping cart. Cashier was polite and asked if I had Shoprite card which I totally forgot I had. I gave it to her and I saved almost $8.00. Good place to shop.

More spacious than the Main St location. Always plenty of cashiers and the store is always clean and presentable.

After unacceptable service and no response or answer and complete indifference from the managerial team I am redacting my review to 1 star. The customer service here has degraded to nearly nothing and the customer service I received here today was deplorable. I regret shopping here ever and would advice others to shop somewhere where your concerns as a paying customer are taken seriously.

Lyft is a good company but could do better when the hiring of drivers in their vehicles.

I Used to like going there when they first opened up now it's too many people that go there the shelves are always empty they run out of meat I've been there twice looking for my small turkey wings and they didn't have no chicken wings

Over capacity! Be careful. It's a nice shop rite, brand new, has everything. My concern is there was no one counting capacity. It was very crowded & during this time more precautions should be taken.

Great place to shop, not happy about the new procedure with Digital Coupons and manufacturers coupons. You can not use both any more, so I decided not to go as often. My college kids will not receive the big boxes that I gave them as they go back to school. NO THANKS TO THE NEW RULES.

They always have what I am looking for. Look very busy but the check out is smooth.

Because I know the store layout, I am able to shop efficiently and effectively. Also, as in other ShopRite stores, the check out was faster than super markets that have automatic cashiers.

I went shopping at ShopRite it was so packed and this was the night before Thanksgiving night and all through the store I just could not wait to get out one thing I know for sure they should put in some more lines that they can scan their own stuff

I ordered my baby s birthday cake 2 years in a row, and both years it wasn t what I ordered. And the manager told me I had to bring it back so he can look at the cake and look at the order which I m sure he knows nobody would want to do that. No problem I will never shop there again. Poor service and poor management. I will also be reporting this to Wakefern!

Always packed but have a large quantity of food for affordable prices

I've filled my prescription at another shop rite b4. But this one denied the GoodRx app when the app gives u places that accepts it. This one in particular denied accepting it said maybe the staff in the other shop rite honors it but we dont. GoodRx wont give theses coupons without consent from theses companies & for the app to give this specific shop rite location so u can use the coupon on a prescription but the other shop rite did I believe is wrong.

What a surprise! This new Shop Rite is clean, smells fresh, has a good seafood department, a large and very yummy prepared food section fresh veggies, good parking and the neighborhood is in a positive transition. Yup, I'll take this over the nice but expensive Stop and Shop in South Orange for sure, even it it is a little bit further away.

Big place. Not friendly staff. Expired products. Bought a bag of apples and they were black inside. Yuck. Will avoid

Lines are ridiculous and the employee's are rude and disrespectful...never would go thru the wait i went thru at a kings or whole foods never returning here...customer service sucks here....

It's okay when your shopping but don't go from the 1+7 of the began of each month unless you have an ebt card cause long lines and slow cashier's and same at night . Even on the weekends they need to have at least 14of those registers open so less wait time less unhappy people everything move smooth . On a regular day pass those dates ShopRite needs to work on time management .and speed when at the register . Stop having conversations with co worker while helping the customer.

The pharmacy staff are superb, nice and very friendly

I am severely disappointed with the catering department at this ShopRite. I prepaid for my order four days ago. I asked Michael in the catering department if my order would be ready on time and if they could handle the business since this was my first time using this location for my event. He reassured me that the food would be ready and hot. My food was 30 minutes late which made my event start late. The food was also not hot as he promised. I usually patronize the ShopRite locations in the suburbs which do not allow this to happen. The only excuse I received was they were "backed up". That is not a sufficient excuse in this climate when consumers are very particular with their purchases and businesses are fighting to stay open. This location is not representing the Shoprite chain adequately. The Shoprite CEO, Pieter Engelbrecht, needs to evaluate this location's effectiveness to carry the mission of Shoprite. If problems like this persist then this could eventually hurt the growth of Shoprite as it tries to maintain its number one status as the top grocer chain in New Jersey.

Place to shop when in town. Good prices and close to City and New York transportation

I stopped in briefly, they have hot food bars, sushi bar, salad bar all orders made to go and it's quite big inside and very neat and clean.

Always clean however some cashiers need to work on their customer service skills but overall always able to get what I need for my family or a raincheck. They listen to the customers wants/need and do their best to get in items.

I just love ShopRite on Springfield a e in Newark it's within walking distance.so it's good exercise for me. Most times they have great sales and incentives around the Holidays the store has so many great things I could say about.it.i just don't have enough space. Continue the good work
