I am always satisfied with shopping at shoprite....

Excellent customer service, very neat and clean, plenty of parking and security inside and outside the store.

I go food shopping here all the time. Nice and friendly employees. Their hot food section is so good but expensive (they weigh it). I avoid going there in the beginning of the month because it gets crowded but other than that it's good.

Love the hot food bar. Makes dinner after a long day at work easy. The food is really good.

a warming welcome to the neighborhood. This store is absolutely amazing. everything is in its place . while shopping I notice that the food court works randomly check the temperature of the food ( food safety thing) . definitely ago to supermarket for my family and I.

Neber had any problems with shoprite as long as ive been going there for. They always have sales on packs of water where you can get 3 packs of water for obly $10.00. When i forget my shoprite card someone is always there to lend me theirs. I like this place

I like the ShopRite of Newark on Spring field Ave. Its big and the people who work there aren't too bad. Just that if you want a cake from the bakery, Don't order it online. They will put it on back order for no reason. But everything else is great.

Very large, clean store with a great selection of products to choose from.

This store wasn't as crowded as the Shoprites I've been to in the past. The employees were friendly and informative. The customer service desk was helpful and the employee in the deli section helped me with making the best selection choice and not what was just on sale.

I went to pick up 3 items and ended up buying a cart full of groceries! A lot of great sales!

The workers were helpful at lining everyone up to the register and they had lines on the ground for social distancing, but despite all of this, people still were a little TOO crowded. Especially in places like Newark or East Orange

It's a nice store, always has a good selection of fresh produce. The isles are kind of cramped with too much and you can't get around when the store is full of people. I did have an employee help me a number of times and showed me a spice I was looking for with a better price. I really liked that. As I was walking away he brought it to my attention. The cashier's are not very nice. I know they can get a bit tired standing all day but it is the holidays and they could try a little harder. There were a bunch of frozen items on the end of the conveyor belt from the person in front of me I guess they didn't want and I gave it to the check out girl and she shot me a look like I did something wrong. All together it's an ok store.

I truly enjoy my shopping experience every time I go. There is a large selection to choose from in every department and the digital coupons from the app along with the weekly specials are great. They also have a Southern Style way of preparing their hot foods at well as grocery items throughout the store. Last but, not least they have a fabulous seafood department... This place is always chaotic, lines are always long and most of the staff appears to hate their jobs. Young lady that helped me in the bakery was the only positive thing during this visit.

I wasn't too impressed with this ShopRite... It didn't seem clean, and the layout was rather congested funneling customers into tight paths to pass each other. I just didn't get an overall good FEELING from the store.

Their selection was pretty standard, they sport two ATMs, a pharmacy and all the services you've come to expect.

The only thing that really shocked me was, whereas cigarettes tend to be cheap at supermarkets, I paid more for my cigarettes here than anywhere else in New Jersey (came out to just over $10, when Walgreen's type stores charge closer to $9 - not a huge deal, but something I found odd).

This place is neat and clean. Staff members are friendly. This place has a real sense of community.

Sometimes the line is so long I have to leave but I love what they've done with the place with streamlining everything

It's a clean well organized store, however the lines can and most often times are ridiculous. If you can keep your cart to 15 items or less the Express checkout is less of a headache.

Always crowded unless you go early in the morning. Aisles are always clean and buffet food is always fresh.

It's good to have a pleasant day shopping at my favorite store

Easy location to get to. Large parking area. Walking distance to bus lines. Other stores nearby and in shopping center. This store has Red Box.

Nice layout, its really nice inside. A little too crowded most days.

Much nicer than the East Orange location that I used to frequent, so much cleaner. Love the aesthetics, and the quality of the food(at least for now) is delicious. I truly hope they continue as such and don't do a downward spiral like many places do once they've established a foothold in the area.

Very busy Shop Rite location! Express check out stations operated by employees makes the line go quicker. You can find a parking space, but be careful driving and walking outside the store, as it is very busy! Clean store with well stocked shelves of sale items Helpful, staff. Handicapped riding carts available, if you need them.

My sperience at Shoprite in Newark New Jersey was terrible I went to the bakery someone page the person that works in the bakery twice and no one ever came never again will I go and get baked goods from their unprofessional the say they hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. but no one was in sight to help me even after being page twice

Very busy at the beginning of the month, be prepared for at wait at least 15-30 min. Otherwise very quick and friendly.

Very sad that during this pandemic the staff does not wear gloves, and also is short staffed. Absolutely no water, does not offer masks nothing. It is very crowded, gota give a shout out to the ceo of shoprite and the mayor of Newark for doing a horrible job.

I am so grateful for the quality of the merchandise. Shop Rite brings vitality to our area. Thank you Shop Rite.

The experience was great. With a lot to buy and some tempting producers, especially the fruits. Products are neatly packed and Friendly sales cashiers.
However the crowd at the pay pint was intimidating . Which indicates great patronage.

This shoprite is always clean and well stocked. You can find all ur food needs here. The hot foods has a large variety of good tasting food and options everyone can enjoy. I gave this location 4 stars only because for large City such as Newark it should be more employees and cash register to make your check out experience more pleasant ,

I find this supermarket to be located where it is convenient for those who do not drive. Also, it carries a variety of foods to choose from.

My 3rd time going to this ShopRite since it's been there, because I only just got back in Newark 3 weeks ago. I have been able to find everything I wanted, I must say it's a lot pricier than Walmart though. I do like the store tho, and feel they've done an excellent job with the store especially since removing the PathMark stores from the area. I was able to find my Wheatena which it seems I've been looking for since leaving Newark 18 years ago. So kudos to ShopRite, and I'll just continue to go to Walmart for those items outrageously priced.

Good prices. Clean store. Only gripe is waiting in the long lines, but they do have a way around it if you like someone else selecting your food. I personally do not and would rather wait in line. Nice store.

where can I do really miss the lady name Corinne got a birthday cake last year that was remarkable & outstanding. The birthday cake from this year not quite as good as last year please bring Corine.

Nice, clean and new. Somewhat well stocked (but I did go there on the 1st of the month during rush hour). Cashier engaged in a whole conversation with someone else while ringing me up. Very rude! Giving 3 stars b/c customer service could have been a lot better.

Beautiful in terms of pricing, food selection, and all the mini restaurants (think of fast food places inside of Walmart) The only downfall was 1. Soooo many ghetto people. 2. The lines were ridiculous! I went around 3 to purchase 3 items. 20 minute line

A bit more upscale when compared to a typical shoprite

This SR, is average w the exception, of crowds and long lines even, in the express. I only, shop here when i'm in the area and in the daytime. A police officer is on duty outside. They had an item on sale so, i decided to get in line and wait. I do not recommend this place bc, too; many people in one place can only, increase your chances of trouble at anytime. You're choice.

Big and nice but do not go around any holiday. No room to move around and not enough registers. The men restrooms needs more urinals.
