Hilton Shillim Estate Retreat and Spa is one of its kind experience that you can get in Lonavla. Though this is an expensive option the whole experience and location makes up for every rupee you spend. The retreat is spread over 290 acres of land and the 99 villas have been designed immaculately to ensure privacy of guests. The interior of the villas is splendid with all your necessities taken care of. The staff will pamper you and your family. They have planned activities that you should definitely go for. Don't miss the yoga center, spa and sauna.
Place is very nice and quite. It's amazing how you fell when you land here.
Highly overpriced comparing facilities and services.
Visited this place with my office team for a retreat and had an amazing time during the two days stay. My favourite and must go places in the resort is the infinity pool. The scenic view from the pool takes your breathe away especially the sunset. Also, the cuisine here is healthy and yum. Desserts are the highlights. In the night, walk through the estate with your friends and fall in love with the lights and darkness
Visited on 20/12/2015, for a Dealer meet of a big Company. Location is too good, food is also very good, rooms are very neat and clean, ground staff and restaurant staff is very good, but front desk and support staff need training. They don't have passion to listen the customers. got room at 4.45 pm, but due to poor management skill of front desk, i got luggage to my room at 5.45 that also after 6-7 calls. they can't handle a group of 50-55 peoples.
Ashok Patawari, Mumbai,
Enjoyed the stay amongst 350 acres of green hills. Of course it comes at a hefty price, yet shillim is an experience to be had . Beautiful rooms, decently well appointed too. Stay in the forest facing rooms if you don't mind paying a little extra. The restaurant options are pretty good too. Food was good at 2 restaurants that we tried. They also have activities through the day such as yoga, meditation, cooking demos, pottery demos, etc. Its a lovely place to go chill for a few days if you really need to get away from the hustle bustle of city life.
We went for lunch at terrazzo @ Hilton. This was a special request. Staff at the restaurant were true professionals and had correct attitude towards their work.
Note: They dont allow direct entry to the in house restaurants. Pls call and confirm before you go there
It was a mixed experience. The check in was horrible! After a flight and long drive on a horrible road, when we arrived we weren t even offered water at the reception! (You need to wait there for a time ranging from 20-30 min for check in formality and their pick up car to arrive). We arrived at 1.30 pm - had booked two rooms - and none was ready. I understand that since checkout was 3 pm. When I pushed we did get a room in 30-40 min but could it have been kept ready earlier? The front office person Sandeep was rude. A simple solution could have been to take us to the restaurant while the room was being readied. Eventually that s what we did. But it spoiled our mood.
We went to their Italian restaurant. The food there was amazing and the staff was friendly and cheerful. Vinod there was a charmer! We had a good time.
We then went to the room which was very nicely appointed and was great. The view is amazing, there is a big balcony with lounge chairs. Comfortable beds, large bath area and an open to sky bath (we stayed at the forest villa)
Evening we wanted a light dinner since we had a late lunch. We went to Terrazzo, their multi cuisine restaurant. My daughters wanted only dessert for dinner. It was below average. When we signed the cheque, they asked how was it and we gave the feedback. They immediately offered to replace it but we already were full, though not satiated due to the poorly made dessert.
Next day lunch was great. Sujoy from there team suggested us to have dinner at Green Table . They serve organic food. We had the continental option (they also have an Indian thali). The food was amazing as was the experience. Meal there is expensive but worth the experience. Don t forget to ask for a discount before the meal itself! (We got a 20% discount)
There were misses during the day (you need a car to travel within the 300 acres resort). I had to follow up thrice for the car once. Similarly I requested for options from their pillow menu and they were short of them. That disappointed.
My daughter became unwell with nausea and vomiting, and we requested for the doctor. The response was quick and good. We got SOS medicines and the staff took good care of us.
At the time of check out, their chef Rajendra Pal and Binu served us an amazing dessert to make up for the day 1 dinner. It was one of the best we have ever had.
Incidentally I came back to the resort 2 days later with my colleagues for an office meet. The trip was nice and I had an opportunity to interact with Chef Rajendra again who was a delight. So was Binu. Check in and check out was smoother this time.
A suggestion: the route is not marked well enough. You could add more boards at all cross roads and forks so no one loses way.
A mesmerising place in the middle of beautiful Shayadri Range, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.... #Dharanawayoflife #wellnessretreat

Horrible experience. Very poor management and staff. I had called them 10 times only for an appointment in order to visit the property to host a wedding. The staff was so rude and they would only keep transfering the call here and there. Personally spoke to the sales manager, Pradnya Tambe. She asked for an email in order to book an appointment but still 20 days since i last sent the email and no reply. After that i still called her and she asked for money to visit the property which was 3000rs per person. ABSURD! Never ever would recommend this place to anyone.
We went driving to check this place out. We thought we might want to spend the night there. However, the staff said we could only see the villa if we first commit to pay INR 18,000. I asked what if we don't like it later...they smiled a silly smile...and said you will surely like it!!! Then I asked if we could use the restaurant for tea/coffe/snacks.....they said it was only for residents and we could use it only if we agree to pay INR3,000 per person for coffee......we thanked them....they will be out of business very soon
Very good experience at Hilton lonavala. This property is very peaceful and nice view from rooms. The staff is very nice and polite.
Intekhab gave me a extremely good memory from Mountain bar . The recommend Italian pizza, pasta and Recommend Cocktail is so great!!!! You must try or you would regret
Paras and Shubham treat us very well and give us room very fast and are very friendly with us from front office. The give us very good room and service.
Property is spread across 300 acres but reaching from Mumbai takes around 3 hrs. And the property is very isolated
This property is the most beautiful I've been to so far. The service, staff, food, Villa & amenities are exceptional.
Property is exquisite and so are the rooms. One huge downfall is their food and beverage department. After coming to such an expensive and beautiful place the food was not on par at all. Lousy is the word. Not worth it.
Bad, bad, bad service. In fact the worst service ever received, even a local 2 star hotel will provide better.
Bad food, no flavor, not cooked well.
Property highly overrated, below average infra.
Rooms might be ok, we stayed at the forest villa, but asking for an emergency services takes Hilton half an hour to respond.
Nice getaway from Bombay. Scenery is stunning. Food at the restaurant in the spa building and the poolside is superb, as well as the complementary morning yoga sessions. Service is fantastic. Spa massages were superb. However, the room quality and workmanship is lacking... Things are falling apart, the couch covers look questionable clean. Note: children are not allowed in several places (particularly, their best restaurant - the one at the spa)
The hotel is nice with good quality. Nice view for rainy weather. The service management needs some improvements. Transportation within the hotel is sometimes very slow. Also the room amenities are not properly verified and replaced when needed.
Stunning location surrounded by lush green hillocks. Very professional & good service. Worth the money
What a place.... 300 acres of pure Bliss and greenery. Heavenly...
Rooms comfortable, good food and loads and loads of activities to be done. They have an activity sheet in rooms and you can choose between paid and complimentary things to do.
If visiting in monsoons do the stream walk, it's a must. If going for spa spend sometime in the resort as getting a spa booking for a days booking quite difficult..
One of the best mountain resort properties around pune and Mumbai. A lovely and serene place to spend a few days away from hustle bustle of the city. The villas are huge and designed beautifully. The striking feature is that the property has reserved the forest area very well and has a good ecological balance.
Some key highlights of the activities at the property -
1) property has organic farming facility
2) a great meditation center
3) A pottery house with like sessions for people who are keen
4) bird trail and forest walk
5) a trek to shilim peak, a must do when around.
The food is delicious here, especially the mutton delicacies.
Wonderful location, excellent service and tasty food
Your hotel was quite disappointing and definitely not at par with the kind of expectations I've developed for a 5-star hotel.
Muddy hot water .
Below average breakfast - no tea , no hot milk in the menu. Serving juices but no glasses available.
Spread over a vast area but extremely poor car pick up service. Guests have to wait for a minimum of an hour to reach their destination.
You request for an extra bed at 10 pm
And they apologitically reach your room by 12:30 am.
Simply, a waste of time.
It isn't a wellness centre as they mentally torture you more with their worst services.
Would not recommend to anyone .
Hilton Shillim I found a very quiet, keen, clean and green place. I found Mr. Shovon Das very nice and helpful person. He is a wonderful person.
Excellent stay. The entire team was good but what stood out for us was Mr Ninad from the FnB team. Kudos to him for planning a special dinner. Very good food and hospitality!!
It s huge. 350 acres spread across unspoilt nature. Please take note that the approach roads are in very bad condition especially the last 5 km. They are also very narrow and sometimes with opposite traffic can be quite trying. Only Vila s and no rooms. Overall experience is great
A very upscale and relaxing place to be. Seems that the clientele is not as refined as the founders of the place thought would be so they have had to compromise a lot like on cuisine etc. However for the discerning people this place offers fine luxury and quiet environment for complete relaxation.
Excellent Resort nestled amid greenery in the hills. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The prices are high but that is expected in a place of this class. The only area of improvement would be its food, which at times was bland
We have had 2 trips here in a span of 10months, its near Mumbai, manageable drive, scenic even - in bits after you start the climb up from Lonavla.
We love this place, the hospitality.. heck we will even go again.
Only problem - restos are all wellness and oh so organic focused.. which is funny, coz this is no Ananda in the Himalayas experience..The food bit can get annoying real fast when you see the limited menu if you are staying3/4 days or more and a attitude of oh we so hoity toity we can t serve no refined flour pasta or white bread for kids. Or atleast have more organic options. May be have a separate kids menu.
Recommend folks to go during early winters, the place is beautiful with the crisp fresh winter air, the clear skies and the birds, so many birds chirping all the time.. it s meditative. Also recommend you to bunk the buggy and walk to the restaurants to eat.
Awesome. A getaway indeed. Only the approach road is bumpy.. Food was decent but loved the hospitality
Excellent location, very cooperative and courteous staff. Efficiently managed retreat. Needs to improve internal communication. Approach road is in very bad state.
Please carry some snacks with you as the food over there is average and extremely over-priced. Property is nice to chill for maximum 2 days.
Please be careful while going to Hilton Shillim as the roads are horrible.
A must place to go. Beautiful scenes and lovely climate.
This is one of the most beautiful places to go to. Their staff is amazing. Their Chefs are brilliant. Done of the most amazing food I have had.
Very nice place as romantic gateway. Food is could have been better considering 5 star property but not a disappointment.
Hotel is in a fantastic place and serves good food. The rooms are huge and cosy. The road to the hotel from Lonavala is terrible in few places. I don t know if it s just me but the Hotel didn t feel like a Hilton hotel. Don tget me wrong, the Hotel itself is excellent, just that it has a totally different feel altogether.
Exotic and peaceful ...enviroment freindly ...greentable lunch breakfast dinner experience .
Hotel is made by concept of luxurious ashram not much to do for people who dont want spa therapies villas are good but how much time one can spend sitting in room for more than 1day ....if you want room service that takes almost half an hour or more to get your order in room that too not at delectable temperature...as within hotel only you have to commute by nanno cars which are also in limited number...no facilities at walkable distance and the roads / lanes leading the restaurants pool and recreational areas not well lit spooky at night....
Club lounge is not great buffet variety is also limited food is expensive no places around to hang out booked for three days with family disappointed had to cancel my booking for other 2 days ....if you are travelling from some other state and cities other than pune and Mumbai and visiting lonavala first time wont recommend
Amazing place to visit ...good ambience and friendly staff .
OK OK types....very peaceful.... Not for people like us party goers
This amazing place is about an hour's drive after getting off the expressway at Lonavla. Remotely located in a 350 acre property, the spa villas have a private pool. To go to your villa from the reception, they drive you in a Tata Nano. Going from your villa to any other part on the property, you have to inform reception and they send across a car. Boasting complete privacy, and very sparse mobile network, this place is great to switch off and relax. Although the WiFi is very highly charged.
It has the most Pathetic hospitality and services. This place offers inferior quality food and keeps stale stuff for buffet. Highly ill managed and i wouldn't recommend you to come specially with young kids. Its a sheer waste of time and money.
This resort is located amidst hills and forests which enchants your vivid imagination. But the facilities and decor in villas lack the Hilton stamp. The rugs have not been changed or cleaned for a long time, they are dirty. This raises question of how clean and sanitized their bed linen and towels are. Food is excellent though service is lacking, ambience is superb, pool is where every guest flocks to. A suggestion....Nano drivers should not drive at neck-break speed.
Nice ambiance...Out from city traffic.. Fantastic food...
Amid natures flaura and fauna, this hotel spread around 350 acres is awesome.
Away from cities hustle bustle. A place hidden in mountains. Traveling after Khandala is through woods. Perfect holiday view. Villas are available. Total 99villas . Each situated individually. Hilton is spreaded in 300acre. Moving around the property is by means of Nano cars. Walking through the property is also very pleasant .Both sides of road is covered in lush green trees and not to forget lemon grass grown all along the road
Many activities to be done. Spa, Yoga, music concert to attend, pottery class, cooking class, club is there......
Food is just too good. A. la carte n buffet system available 3-4 restaurants with different themes. Food choices available for both veg and non veg. ...Just go n enjoy the experience the rich hospitality
Worth going amidst forest with zero pollution, stay in the forest, stay with your self. Steep on your pocket
Yes, it's on the expensive side but it's a huge property with really good room layouts. Lots of nature and privacy to unwind. It has some activities (most are paid) like jungle walk, pottery, yoga but one can get enough exercise walking up and down the winding paths. We went in early summer so foliage was turning dry and day heat made enjoying outdoors less fun but the spa pool is very handy. Their dinner in the Italian restaurant was average but breakfast was great (they have buffet and options from the kitchen too). Spied myriad birds (including the red munia) hence idle birders will have added fun. All in all a good break though a tad expensive. Also the last 5 odd kms to reach the property are really unpaved path hence it's an uncomfy drive in a patch.
Road leading to the resort is a disaster. V reached at around 8pm for check in n I guess reception was too tired to even offer water, even after asking for water. The car drivers I think are overworked or expect tip for every trip that they make from one point to other point in the resort. Club house restaurant staff was good in particular Mridul who attended us for all r meals as I was pregnant n had weird tastes n preferences for food. The Dharna spa reception staff is under trained to handle special cases like pregnancy. They don't know what they are suggesting. Even the billing at the check out had an issue. We were there for Christmas 2019 for 4 nights n they said as they are a wellness resort loud music party won't happen for Christmas, understandable but they could hv done some nice light live music singing Christmas carols as all the guests were with young kids n kids would hv really loved it. The best part is the view n the property. They need lot of fine tuning to live upto the name of Hilton.
This is a vast smoke free costly 5 star property. Spa is good otherwise service is not upto the mark comparing its star rating. Complimentary breakfast is not at all good and never expected such. Rooms are good but not comparable with genuine star category property. Airport shuttle is there. Name does not depict actual pictures. Highly overpriced.
Very Nice Resort but Expensive and Not managed professionally.
Absolutely fantastic place and I must say one should plan at least 2days stay to enjoy. It is situatiated in the midst of mountain ranges. They have many activities happening during the course of the day and those are all interesting. For example - forest walk. Rooms are really awesome with wonderful view of the mountains. This property is actually more beautiful than what we see in pics.
Staff is very good.
Most imp is that this is wellness center and each aspect of it's offering is designed as per that....
One of the most secluded and pampering resorts. Make sure to have a booking before going that far as restaurant is only for guests.
Must Visit place if budget is no constraint.
Enjoyed the experience, it was peaceful and close to nature. The staff was amazing, property is well maintained!
I rated it 5 star as the service here is so hospitable and to the mark, meeting my expectations.
Things I personally liked:
1) Spacious rooms
2) good housekeeping
3) trained staff
4) amazing food @terrazo
5) quality of logistics for transportation inside the retreat
6) great bird watching, trekking and pottery staff made event interesting.
7) Spa treatment at Dharana
8) infinity pool at bistro
9) sights of mountains, fragrance of fresh air coupled with chirping birds and overall security
10) well built infrastructure for day to day life at resort
Toooo big.... but less amenities... not the best place for corporate event
Hilton Shillim is a great resort to spend a weekend. The place is one with nature and you are encouraged to walk around. They have 350 acres of land for you to explore. If you choose not to, you can always take one of the several Tata Nanos that they operate across the estate.
The staff is extremely courteous and the rooms are very nice. I would recommend going there in a large group as this place is better with company.
Great place. A bit expensive though. But i think it will be worth it.
Very big resort spread over a mountain. Need 2 nights minimum if you want to explore the property in detail which is immensely spread out. The villa rooms are comfortable with big bathrooms ; however upkeep of the villas can definitely be improved ; room service ordered takes at-least 30-45 mins to be delivered to your room - so you need to be mentally prepared for the same ; a big area for improvement I must say; also anything you want in the room from housekeeping also takes some time to deliver - maybe this is a negative of a big property. We only had breakfast in the restaurant and the spread was sufficient . Service is courteous . There are Nano cars available to take you from one place to another and normally available at short notice. However the price tag attached is a bit steep compared to the experience that you get.
Place is extremely remotely located. But the rooms and facilities were top notch. A good experience of living close to nature
I would have loved to give a 5/5, but a few glitches here and there which I would like to mention, not to take away from the good points, but just so that these things are taken care of!
Beautiful property very well placed with the most picturesque views from the rooms. Every villa is placed away from each other, which gives you complete privacy. If you are looking for a romantic peaceful getaway place, or just a quiet place, this is the property to visit. Would not suggest that you get your kids along as some spaces which are marked on the map, kids are specifically not allowed to enter, like the medication centres, spa, which is need to be kept quiet.
My ocd was killing me to see some fittings not done in a straight line, the curtain being shorter than the window, right next to the bed, but the size of the room is big, with a beautiful terrace attached to it along with a nice seating area to enjoy the sun in the cold winter morning, also see the stars in the night.
The food is average, the bakery products are not fresh, even when we stayed for 2 days, both days, the breads, croissants were not soft, I was been told that as they don't use refined flour, but they were clearly stale /not fresh. Me, being a foodie, this was a big disappointment.
As the drive to this place is through a terrible road, our car was completely dusty. You need to leave the car at the entrance point and travel around in the cars given by them. On the 3rd day while we were leaving, we requested that atleast the windshields of the car be cleaned, even after requesting twice, it wasn't done and eventually we had to put drinking water and clean it as water wasn't provided too. This was a very small request, could have easily been taken care of.
But coming back to the good things.... You will be in the midst of nature, waking up to the chirping of birds. We spotted a deer, peacock flying from 1 tree to the other, a wild boar, lots of squirrels... Make sure you walk through the property instead of using the car so that you can enjoy all these things.
The staff is polite, very helpful, giving us a lot of information about the property in general. When we entered we though,t, it could get boring as the place is isolated, but on the 2nd day itself, we felt that atleast 3 nights would be needed at a place like this which has so much to see and do around. Overall a great stay, which was thoroughly enjoyed.
Amazing place. U r nested in middle of Forrest with absolute privacy and luxury. Staff is too good and food is delicious. Forest and valley view is mind boggling.. a must !
Called the hotel to book a family holiday for me my husband and 2 children only 7 and 9. They refused to accommodate my kids in the same villa. They actually expect the kids to sleep in a separate villa (or leave one child behind for all they care). The reservations person without thinking even said we will try to give you a villa close by!!! In the unfortunate event that you have more than one child, this place is not for you. Or rather, you are not invited. Am so totally put off by their attitude! We are ready to pay for the kids whatever extra is needed but they just said, sorry that s the policy and didn t even sound apologetic about it! How are people rating this property so high!!! Obviously no one with kids are welcome here.
A very pleasant and rejuvenating place to stay... The staff is very cooperative and friendly
