Sheraton Mountain Vista Review

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton. They were friendly, helpful, and the room was cleaned well. We were a little surprised that there was no AC and the bedroom windows were unable to open, but it was still a comfortable temp during the night. We would stay again.

Nice condo. Spent one night, meeting up with family, so not a lot of time to enjoy the amenities, but looked great!

Well appointed suites with jetted tubs, kitchenette and even a grill on the patio!

Outdoor heated pool open year round, hot tub closed due to COVID.

Excellent location just minutes from Beaver Creek ski resort, close to restaurants and convenience/grocery stores.

We are very impressed, very nice staff, very nice rooms, it is definitely worth to upgrade to the premium Villa. However one warning, there is no air conditioning. It wasn't such a problem because the weather at night drops, but people should definitely be aware

We made the reservation through Interval International and checked in on a friday. Resort gave us a 1 bedroom unit with an unpleasant view. We were literally staring a parking lot from our balcony. We've requested the resort reception if we can switch the unit at least we could enjoy a nicer view. The crew at the reception told us no and provided a phone number to call resort ownership. We couldn't get in touch with them due to their office was closed for the weekend. We were staying there weeks before the ski season started and not sure why couldn't they just give us a room with a nicer view although the resort was pretty much empty. If we knew in advance this is a kinda of customer service we would be getting, we would've stayed in a different resort. Although the room was clean.

Good location. Always like to have a kitchen. Loads of activities available.

Not quite as nice as the Weston next door, but still a short walk to the Beaver creek gondola, and you can get more nights for your points!

The Sheraton Mountain Vista is in the heart of Avon, Colorado. The staff is friendly, and the rooms are clean.
My only complaint is the severe lack of storage. No dresser, no drawers in the bathroom, no shelves in the closet, not even a nightstand! What were they thinking?
There are plenty of activities nearby, with two pools available, and nearby walking trails. It's a lovely place to spend a vacation.

The grill on the deck is fabulous. Steaks were perfect, good even heat.

Always love coming here. Very helpful underground parking during winter. Walking distance to lots of restaurants.

We vacationed here in the middle of June and overall, we were very pleased. The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. The only thing that we didn't like was there was NO air conditioner and the room stayed very warm during the day even with 2 floor fans and 2 ceiling fans running at full speed. The pool is located outdoors so even during the day, the mountain breeze will cool you off considerably after you get out. There is fire pit located near the pool that turns on at 6 pm and goes off at 10 pm. You can buy a smores kit from the hotel which includes 4 long sticks as well as the stuff to make smores. Or you can go to the local Walmart and buy everything you need for about 1/2 the price. They have a breakfast taco bar every Monday that starts at 8 am. I recommend getting there early because the food goes fast.

Extremely extremely disappointed this place has zero room service for the amount of money they ask for for one night to stay there. They forgot to bring us extra pillows and charge 2 different cards for one night stay....... Not happy with our stay here. Not worth the money.

Beautiful property in a beautiful area. Appreciate the stores in the same building, and lake with stand up paddle boarding, fishing and swimming minutes away. Right next door there is a recipe center with swimming and rock climbing.

One of the best stays to date. Room was amazing. Large, well kept and staff were great. Excellent concierge as well.

This hotel has the worst customer service I have EVER experienced. Our credit card was double charged, after we notified them of a possible problem and were assured this wouldn't happen. Then we had to do battle to get our card re-credited over their error! Will NEVER stay there again!

Great location. Nice rooms. Heated garage in winter is nice.

We have stayed in this hotel many times, as it is a great choice when visiting Avon. However, there's always been a few issues each time we come (different each time). These include: loud neighbors, poor view and no other availability, broken appliances, closures (as in pool/game room etc.), and much more.

This is an absolutely beautiful location. The view is fantastic although our room had a view of the construction work outside. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was one of the biggest I have ever seen and it was very clean. It was an absolutely wonderful stay.

Nice condo! They thought of everything for you, from the grill in balcony to washer and dryer. You won't miss home; Very convenient to market and restaurants.

Everything so far has been excellent. The only weird thing is the single ply toilet paper and the lack of a dresser. Everyone has been super nice and wonderful.

The staff were awsome. Front desk was cool, house keeping was the best, and the concierge Jamie told us all the good spots to go. We enjoyed our 6 day stay!!!The Villa was nice and updated. Location is in walking distance of food spots and Walgreens. Good times.

I go 4 stars here. Well appointed Sheraton and truthfully one of the better ones around as you would expect in a place like Avon, but disappointingly (and probably its only failing), no breakfast. For the price you pay here (even in summer) I'd expect at least a continental breakfast. Depends on what you wish your stay inclusions have, but for me this would have been nice.

This place was excellent! We booked it for a week as part of timeshare exchange, and it did not disappoint! The room was as we expected, the facilities were excellent, and the staff was very welcoming. Also, did I say NO FEES!? This is almost unheard of when staying at resorts. They had no additional fees for the hotel or for parking. I don t have kids, but I feel like this place would be a perfect place to have your family stay. On the 8th floor there is a game room with arcade games, game consoles, and pool tables. It s not very often you get that ammenity. Also, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Alex was one of our faves! As soon as we walked in, he was showing us Vail resorts trail map (as we were there to ski), giving us Resturant recommendations, and directions on how to get to the bus. He was so helpful and honest. He is someone we look forward to meeting in any of our hotels/resorts we stay at, and we felt he went above and beyond and deserved the recognition. We would definitely stay here again!

Our stay at the Sheraton was great. Specifically the customer service was top notch. Allie at the front desk helped us with several booking questions we had as well as offered great ideas for the buses and offered coffee when she did not have to. We very much enjoyed our stay and because we loved it so much we have booked 4 additional nights in January!

Look forward to staying with you all again!

This is a half owner half hotel. There are great amenities but very unimpressed with the booking.

Well laid out and nicely appointed. They've upgraded some things since we were here in August 2018. The location is wonderful and easy to get to. There is a lovely lake within easy walking distance - approximately 1 1/2 blocks. The staff are professional and friendly. Rachael, the concierge, is sweet and most helpful. There is a parking garage below. Great place to stay and enjoy your vacation

I have been visiting this Sheraton since I was little and have always loved it!

Despite having a reservation for some time the Hotel was unable to honor mountain facing suits. The accommodations are nice but finishing touches are lackluster if even present.

Highly recommend. Amazing views and very clean villas and quiet. Mountains for days and nice little local shops everywhere.

Only reason for 4 stars was by the market entrance someone used way way too much room freshener. Omg I got a extreme headache...it would knock ya down it was so strong.

Absolutely the best! Lots and lots of good things to say about our ongoing stay. They have a stunning view and is located very close to Beaver Creek, Vail and Edwards. The staff is very helpful and has absolutely everything you ask for. The rooms are fantastic with fire place,balcony with a grill,laundry,kitchenette,vacuum cleaner and even humidifiers. Very clean and spacious. For the people who complain they dont have air conditioning please check your eyes cause they mention it on their booking page that they dont lol

Not a great stay. Recommend other Marriott properties in the area before staying at this one. No AC in the rooms, terrible setup for COVID care, no facilities open. Supposed to be dog free but saw several in the building. Sprinklers were broken, giving you a loud wake up after midnight. Uncomfortable all around. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

5 minutes from Beavercreek ski resort. Shuttle stop to ski area is half a block away. Free heated underground parking, free ski lockers for guests. Has indoor and one outdoor hot tub on the roof. Large pool outside for when weather is nice. Gaming area for kids is also on upper floors. Rooms are nice, have everything you need if on extended stay. Grocery store is a half mile away.

Their systems seemed to hit a snafu, the first room we were assigned to wasnt cleaned yet, and the next morning another couple was apparently assigned to our room. The room themselves were nicely outfitted, including a grill out on the balcony. No toothpaste though.

Only reason for not giving it five stars is that my room 1321 was right up against the elevator shaft. The head of the bed was up against the same wall as the elevator shaft so every time the elevator went up or down you heard it.

We booked this thinking we were going to have a great Mountain View in a hot tub, hard no wish we would have read reviews before going as they don t disclose this on there website kinda outdated room. We found a bleach rag in the window seal so assuming no one actually cleaned out room there was melted cheese or whatever nasty food was in our garbage bin in bathroom. Total rip off a sauna and everything is closed.

Oh I wanted to love this place, but there were so many querks. For one, the hotel bar closes at 6-7pm every night. We would barely be back from a day of skiing and they would already be closing. The rooftop hot tub was under construction when we stayed. I understand renovations are needed, but during the winter when the hot tub would be most used? Why not the summer? Oh and if its snowing (which is almost daily in the winter), expect to hear the snow plows scraping the parking lot at 4 am. And since there is no AC, and you have to sleep with the windows open, you will be woken up to the constant sound of scraping and the backing up alarm. When we spoke to the hotel staff, they told us there was nothing they could do as the trucks are ran by the city of Avon.

The rooms are very clean and the short walk to the gondola is very desirable. It's just the other things that made our stay less pleasant.

Probably one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The room was well stocked with supplies, large, clean, and the view was spectacular.

Full kitchen was a plus. Enjoyed the balcony with nice view of beaver creek. Location was ideal, close to groceries, short walk to the park and restaurants.
Covid policies were great. Room was clean and I felt safe the whole time. Outdoor pool open, hot tub closed. Fitness center open by appointment.

Nice location, staff, and pool. Just a reminder to those who forgot like us, no air conditioning and they currently only have one operating elevator. If you re traveling with strollers or lots of luggage you re going to spend a lot of time waiting for an elevator. Also bathroom lights sometimes worked, and vanity came up mid thigh hard to believe this was the upgraded room as desk stated but overall nice place! We did give a four day heads up we needed a crib, but wasn t enough notice to have ready in room. Probably should not offer service or not say it will be ready if unable to meet as platinum guests and owners we have found this is an issue at all locations, not unique to this location.

The rooms were fantastic. I loved the layout and the space. It was nice to have the amenities in the room. It was also nice to have an indoor and an outdoor hot tub after a long day. The steam room and sauna in the fitness area were nice as well.

The rooms were nice. But the elevator was broken. Hotel staff said it had been broken for weeks!

Rooms quiet,. Greeters are friendly and informative, rooms are clean and well kept. Elevators are clean slow and p pop exit stairs are clean and safe. The scenery is great and can hear the water moving through the Brook to the lake.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and well maintained. Lots of bars and restaurants to choose from in the area.

VERY impressed with COVID protocol and cleanliness standards! Nice underground parking available, signs in elevators for one at a time, hand sanitizer at each elevator, rooms were extremely clean with individually wrapped paper towel rolls, clean bags for toiletry items, plenty of clean towels and bathroom items available. Well appointed and nice room floor plans. Would highly recommend!

The location, staff and views were simply amazing. The bed was uncomfortable and made for a nights sleep impossible. Slept with the windows open in 40 degree weather as the room was very warm despite the heat being off. I'd assume one of the adjacent rooms had a non local occupant who was more comfortable sleeping in 80 degree temps. There isn't room service so you'll need to ensure you eat and drink your fill before returning to the hotel.

The rooms have been upgraded since my last visit in 2011 (5 years) none of the rooms have air conditioning, but the summer nights don't get much warmer than 50 and the high temps during the day are low 80s at worst. The hotel is right across from a post office and down the street from Walgreens, plenty of walking distance fun to be had!

The place is fantastic. Pool is nice and relaxing. The rooftop hot rub facing Beaver Creek is a blast. Vail is 10 minutes away. My favorite brewery, Crazy Mountain is 10 minutes the other way. Pazzo's and Northside have great food. Beaver Liquors has the fun juice!!

Nice, cozy room. Fireplace was great and we had a courteous treatment. Highly recommend.

I loved our stay here. My only problem is that there s no AC. Even in mid-October it was a little stuffy with the windows and balcony open, plus with the provided fans given. There are restaurants a short walking distance that were fantastic. I love that the parking was an underground garage and free. I booked directly through their website since the price was the same and you can add notes like higher level, early check-in, extra pillows, etc... but not either of my requests were fulfilled. It was very convenient I thought but didn t work... would definitely call personally for that.

We did an exchange for this timeshare resort. Room was comfortable most of the time. No A/C, but plenty of fans. It was a very hot July so A/C would have been nice during the day. No issue at night's. Bed, shower, living room all very good. They have a nice pool, hot tubs, exercise room, etc. Could use a casual restaurant. There are a few decent restaurants within walking distance.

If I could rate this as a zero I would. When we arrived in Avon it was 95 degrees outside and about the same temperature in the room. We called the front desk only to find the rooms don't have A/C! They claimed that this was disclosed on the website but we looked and could not find anything. They said that they had fans but the bedroom window only opens 5 inches. In addition, they had road construction going on and with the windows open it was impossible to sleep. I expected more of a Sheraton property and the customer service at SPG and Vistana were not helpful at all. The only hotel that I have ever been to that upon check-out did not even ask how we enjoyed our stay.

Excellent resort with beautiful views and easy access to many activities, even during off-season. They have been extremely accommodating and we have loved our stay here!

I was forced to get off of the Hwy because of the snow that night. It was unsafe to continue driving. I had already been on the road 14 hrs and reached my limit. We (my son and myself) drove around Avon looking for anything that may be available, I was in desperate need of rest. My son who is 15 was received by Kym at the front desk. Justin who is tech savvy was quickly turned away much like at the surrounding hotels by Kym who told him to "look on Google". A little perturbed I walked in myself (initially I had not because there was no parking and again it was snowing) to speak with Kym and ask for a little more effort on her part!! Wouldn't looking up a place to stay on Google be an obvious initial action even impulsive action to the predicament we were in? Needless to say I quickly changed my mind set of asking for management to again asking for help and if there was a room available. I did state that my son had just walked in and was quickly dismissed. Kym agreed to look up the surrounding hotels. Kym asked if I would drive another 20minutes "just down the road" having to remind her it's snowing and I was exhausted!! Kym shared with me the fact that she doesn't drive in the snow, her husband won't let her. That infact that evening he was to pick her up because of the snowy conditions) At the end of the search Kym found a suite on the grounds of the Sheraton. Glad I was persistent. The room phenomenal!! Clean, comfortable, spacious and lets not forget the view.

I stayed here for a business trip, but I would gladly come back for vacation. The room was fantastic and impressive. The fireplace kept everything very warm in mid-November. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The pillows were down pillows which don't have a lot of support unless you pile 3 on. The concierge and front office staff were very helpful and friendly any time I had to deal with them. The prices for the hotel food were always expensive, but it's in walking distance to a great bar and since it comes with a kitchenette, you can store food. Overall fantastic place to stay.

Very nice accommodations every room I have stayed in had some form of kitchen and jet tub. Beds are comfortable, large, and plenty of extra bedding. The staff is great and very helpful. Plenty of places to eat and get a drink within walking distance
There is a parking structure. Every room has at least one fireplace and a bbq grill on the balcony.

Beautiful hotel. Rooms are wonderfully equip for a whole stay. Kitchen, living room, 2 fire places and even washer and dryer. Close to restaurants and shop in the heart of Avon. Great if you are planning to ski or snow board.

The large upstairs hot tub was out of order leaving only two small hot tubs that had a visible film of dirt and Luke warm at best for the whole hotel of guests to share. The hotel was packed due to a children s baseball tournament and only one elevator was working all week. At times we had to wait almost 10 minutes to get from the parking garage to the 7th floor. Our dishwasher in our room was broken and our room was skipped during midweek cleaning. We ve stayed at this hotel almost 6 times and EVERY time we re here something is shut down or out of order. It s worth the money to stay at the Westin instead.
