The staff is very patient and kind i booked my room threw Hotels.com and after I was charged they canceled my reservation due to a mistake on there part it took them 4 hours to refund me so I could get the room I booked when I talked to c.s. they could not rebook my room. But the staff at the hotel didn't rush me or treat me poorly. During this embarrassing, shameful process. I ended up getting room and enjoyed my hotel stay GREAT PLACE TO STAY

Great hotel in good location for overnight stay at LAX. Close to rental car drop offs. Close to food and Target. Culver City Mall is 10 mins by Uber. Theres a great Greek restaurant around the corner. We are in the Bar/Restaurant and the food was pretty good. We stuck to the club. sandwich and Cobb Salad. Waiting for Elevator was a bit slow but there was a Rams game that evening. I liked that the coffee table could be removed from the couch to make that an additional bed. Nice spot. No complaints.

There is no fridge or even simple tableware in the room, so it's a pain to eat and it's hard to eat the ice that I bought.

Even though I asked for a spoon, it did not reach for 4 days after all with "I will take in about 5 minutes".

great room with nice view of LAX.
bed was very comfortable.
check in was quick and easy.
had to pay for parking, but that is typical for LAX hotels.
shuttle runs every 15 minutes 24/7 which is great for flights arriving late night.

If I can do less I would do it.. I m not that person who like to complain about everything and this is my first review all time..
the front desk staff are very rude and disrespectful (Sunday, January 7th, 4:15pm)
I had a simple question and they didn t answer my question and with no asking me they transferred me to a Starbucks!! I called the front desk again to ask why they did that to me and they said in a RUDE language (that because I don t have answer) !!! Really a front desk employee working for a big name like a Sheraton and doesn t have an answer of their own voucher!!! Plus they hang up the phone in the second time.. really!!! This what I get being their guest!!!

Sorry Sheraton I will never book with u again.

The rooms were beautiful and I really like how they have a couch in their double queen rooms which is perfect to just sit down and relax. I also like that they have a Starbucks in the lobby so I can get some hot water and make some tea but they close early (4-5pm)

I really didn t like their shower head it was so low flow that there was barely any water coming out.

Things to keep in mind: PAID WIFI 5$ for reg 15$ for high speed (free in the lobby)
valet is insane at 54$
There is self parking in the back for 17$a day but with no re-entry.
Breakfast prices are ridiculous and I guess that is to be expected. I ended up getting a Starbucks wrap because I didn t want to leave and pay the 17$ parking fee to get back in.

My husband and I stayed here for a 14 hour layover and it was great. The shuttle was easy to locate, it got us to the hotel in under 10 minutes, and check-in was a breeze even though we arrived at an odd time. Clean and spacious rooms perfect for getting a good night's sleep right before jumping on another flight. Food at restaurants inside was a little pricey for what you get but there are some other place to eat near the hotel. Overall perfect for a quick relaxing stay.

Great place to snooze with a long layover at LAX.

Went to the restaurant with my girlfriend after picking her up from the airport. She had the braised short rib beef lasagna, which was really delicious, and I had the special for the day which was fettuccini and grilled salmon in Alfredo sauce. Both were really good and well prepared dishes. The severs were very attentive and polite.

Worst hotel I've been to. First off, what kind of cheap hotel charges for $17 for parking for one day? And $44 for valet. When we arrived, the water in our sink wouldn't go down. So we had to call for help, and when the employee came, he was rude and not responsive. Then when we tried to buy internet access (yes, they charge you for that too), they put us on hold for 15 minutes. For simple internet access that costs $13 a day. They try to get you with the "fanciest hotel in the area" scheme. Sure, this area isn't the best so obviously this sad excuse for a hotel is going to be the "fanciest" here.

First time at this location. So easy to and from LAX, very clean and tasteful in lobby and rooms. Staff was friendly, efficient and always available. Starbucks inside as well as huge area for drinks and food. Will absolutely be back.

Great staff cleaning the rooms and very nice outdoor jacuzzi, however there was an issue. I was disappointed with the way disruptive guests were handled. Had to call security on 3 occasions to report a physical altercation in the room next door, and shouting and arguing from the same two guests the following day starting at two in the morning and not resolved until 4am. This situation should have been properly dealt with the night before.

My family and I normally stay at a Marriott or Hyatt; I have only stayed in two Sheraton hotels and have to say I am not impressed! Exhausted, tired kids, and checking in at 10:30 pm. My first impression of the Sheraton Gateway LAX has a distinct smell of bad musk cologne. I kept turning around trying to find the guy that would dive into the much cologne until I realized it was the hotel! When I walked up to the Front Desk the agent did not even look up and greet me. She just stared at the computer screen and asked for my driver's license and credit card - I felt like I was at the DMV. I just stood there waiting for her to look up (which took a few seconds) and then asked her if she even knew what I looked like. I expressed my disappointment with the last Sheraton I stayed at the night before and was hoping this one would be better. She did express her regret that our last stay at a Sheraton was not a good experience, apologized for the lack of a greeting and offered me four free breakfast buffet vouchers. I thought that was nice of her. She asked if I was parking a car and I said yes I was packing a rental car. She stated there were three options; the first one was a onetime self-parking of eleven dollars, the second option was an in and out self-parking for seventeen dollars, and the third was valet parking for thirty-three dollars. Thirty-three dollars a night for valet parking... really? Well, I took the seventeen dollar option and was given a card to use. What I was not told by her was it was not an access card into the airports long-term parking (it appears they do not have a parking lot themselves) so my card was eaten by the machine and I had to wait twenty minutes for an parking attendant to arrive to fix it.

When I finally arrived to room it appeared clean except for the carpet which was dirty and stained. It was not until I climbed into bed and found three type of hairs in-between the pillows that I had an issue with the room - one being a pubic hair. I called down to the front desk to see If I could get the bedding changed and was transfer to another person that agreed to send someone up to the room to take care of the issue. I waited for thirty minutes with my sleepy son until I hear a knock on the door. In walks a guy with two pillows, lays the pillows on the bed and say "okay?!" I asked if he would change the bedding and he responded with another "okay?!" and turn to leave. I asked him again to take care of the situation and he finally realized what I was asking him to do. His response was to brush the hairs off the bed and onto the floor. At that point he says "okay?!" I told him fine I will deal with other peoples hair and said "okay".

The shower was old and the showerhead was calcified.

The downstairs concierge seemed to never be at the desk when needed.

On the plus side:

Internet was free
There was no "resort fee"

You get one small free bottle of water - three bucks if you want the big bottle! - LOL

The breakfast buffet was good for being free - I would not spend twenty-four for it!

The staff was nice but disorganized and seemed to be just waking up, even though it was about 9:30 am.

The bellhop was friendly and helpful

The shuttle two and from LAX is great and runs every ten minutes.

This hotel was the worst experience i have ever had with a hotel. When we checked in the hotel was already paid in full on my credit card. At time of check in i was told everything was set they just needed a debit card to hold a $75 deposit so they did it then the next morning i call my card balance to find out that Sheraton gateway had pulled $217.40 from my account. When i called them they said they made a mistake and they would refund the card on Monday so It's now monday and my bank says they have not even released the money and the hotel says they have now we are going through a despute with the hotel so we can get it settled because they refuse to let the money go. On top of it all when we got to the rooms there was no refrigerator or microwave just disgusting coffee and overpriced water bottles. Hands down worst hotel ever if you stay here be aware

We stayed after a 10 day trip overseas. Hotel is beautiful and very clean. Beds are very comfortable. Staff as we as shuttle staff were amazing. A great place to stay before or after a flight.

Very disappointed with service. Needed information late at night so called front desk. Woman was short and unpleasant. It's hard to believe that a hotel such as this lets such unwelcoming people represent them.
Also, needed urgent help for door lock issue with our room and it took over half an hour to get someone to come. Would not stay there again.
