The room heating was not working. Stayed there for two nights complained to the staff twice that the room heating was not working. But nothing was then except the front desk staff, that their engineers will look into it. the room stayed at 63f, irrespective of what temperature you set at thermostat. Absolutely unexceptable. A lot construction going on, would strongly advice not to consider staying at this place till there renovation is complete.

I spent 3 in here, for the last night ,I found my room s air conditioner is not working. I wait 2 hours for the warm wind and nothing happened.I called the fronted desk and they said they send somebody check. I wait 30 minutes and nobody come, and I call front desk again and they just let me wait. I wait 30 minutes again. Somebody come to reset the system and he said wait 15-20 minutes, it will be good. Thus, I spend an another hour to wait the warm wind. Actually, nothing changed. I am so cold in room even my parents can fall asleep. I go down stairs to talk to the front desk directly and they say somebody will come again or change the room for us. The fact is NOBODY COME for the whole night. I am so disappointed on their service, cuz they don t care their customers. At the time I checked out, I tell the front desk agency the situation, they don t say sorry or feel apology for that, they just said they will let the manager know and that s it.

Had a good stay with family. Nice property with indoor Swimming pool, gym and starbucks. Only drawback they don't have refrigerator in the rooms. Also. Checkout Starbucks timing please as it's not 24*7 but great option as you can use Starbucks app to pay...they also have shuttle service available.

The hotel room was disgusting. There was blood on the wall, dust on the ceilings, hole in the bathroom door, the list goes on. When we went to the front desk after seeing the room the concierge knew we were checking out. You can get a spotless room nearby for just a few dollars more.

The location is convenient for business traveler. Appreciate the free wifi.
The hotel itself is not maintained well
1.elevaror #1 does not recognize guest room card and few other issues ;
2. Cleanliness is poor. Litter in the elevator floor not cleaned.

Basically, I went to Sheraton to meet one of my friend who came to New Jersey on business purpose. The bar was good and we had a great time at the bar. We were talking alot as we met after a long time. Room was good. But in the morning, the fire alarm started buzzing and we got panicked. After a while we got to know that it is a false alarm. The bad part is, alarm went on beeping for half an hour. Except the alarm buzz everything was good about this hotel.

Stay with my wife over the weekend for a show. Beds were okay but not the most comfortable. Hotel was largely okay. Lot of drunk dudes, but I think that's more related to the show that was going on nearby

It's the first time I'm at this place (or any Sheraton), the front desk is pretty good with nice receptionists, lobby is pretty decent, but the rooms are a bit old(ish) and could use some upgrades but it wasn't bad. We were here for a shabbaton weekend and they were pretty accommodating, had the big Ballroom for the meals, another one for in between snacks and upstairs for the davening. Overall it was a pretty good stay.

This was the worse hotel I've ever stayed at. I didn't get my King size bed (i'm 6'6"), No complimentary wifi, and if you pay the fee for using the ethernet connection, you have to pay the same fee again if you want to switch to wireless. No complimentary, already brewed coffee station in lobby in the morning, no continental breakfast. They made me feel like if they could charge me for the air I'm breathing in the room they would. This is not comforting at all...... In no way shape or form. There was also a connecting door in my room, and I had neighbors that where very loud, and I could hear them so loud it sounded like they where in my room. The shower... It was set up for a handicap, with the pull down seat, and had a handle style shower head that didn't go higher than my stomach. They didn't replace my towels the next day. The room also had a strange smell. I'm on business trips all over America, and seriously.... this really is the worse hotel ever. I had a Holiday Inn in twinsburg Ohio that made this gigantic multilevel monstrosity seem like a motel 8. I highly suggest going to a Marriot, Hampton, or Holiday Inn. I also love hotels with a fridge in the room. The middle elevator shook back and forth too while in motion. Well it looks like my paid internet is going to end soon, I better wrap this up. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACEl!! IN FACT RUN, AND DON'T LOOK BACK!!!

Dirty, disgusting, filthy. This is the most horrendous accommodations I've ever had. Including my days in a frat in college. Front desk stated no more rooms available, no other hotel with vacancies. I slept in my clothes. So unbelievably gross. Food on floor, questionable stains on sheets.

This area seems to be in a race to see who can have the worst hotel. This property is one of the better options, but it isn't great. The restaurant is mediocre and the rooms have definitely seen better days. The furniture is worn down (arm chairs wit holes in the upholstery), the bathrooms are not well cleaned (you can see mold in the grout between the tiles). Stains on the carpets and ceiling. A revamp wouldn't hurt.

We stayed in one of the preferred guest rooms on the 10th floor. The room was nicely appointed and the TV will accept HDMI connections to stream videos from a laptop. They offer free WiFi or a paid option at 5.95/day. The restaurant was average priced for a hotel. The tables were a bit wobbly so we skipped eating and just had drinks. The bar service was very nice and while high priced strong enough to be worth it. Staff was attentive and the free local van service convenient though not always available.

I stay at the Sheraton Edison on a regular basis every time I come to visit my friend and families. The staffs are unprofessional and unfriendly(no basic manners), specially guy who works at night time. There are a few things that the hotel could do to improve its experience for customers is to have Wifi free and Key service where I have to unlock it 3 times per day.

We and our family/friends stayed here for our wedding weekend. Heather Schwab and her staff at the Sheraton went above and beyond what they needed to do and it was much appreciated! It s a lot of work planning a wedding and executing it and More

Update June 2018, downgraded to one star:

Have stayed in this property at least 20 times previously, each time ranging from 4 to 5 nights during the business week. Card readers on doors, and especially the club lounge, have deteriorated. Housekeeping never changes sheets, with the linen change card hidden from view being stuffed in the folio. No notepads or pens in room, and even worse, housekeeping found it appropriate to steal sheets from my personal notepad, including tearing pages I had notes on, an act that actually I would classify as theft.

Bedsheets had bloodspots at check-in, and appeared to not be changed from prior guest. While it doesn't bother me personally (I've been in much worse), I expect better from a "Sheraton".

Requested fridge (an amenity clearly published as available) and was denied.

WiFi in the top corner (11th floor, apparently a "club floor" for SPG elites) dead for two nights in a row... worked in other areas of property.

As for housekeeping, one day took dirty towels and replaced soaps... must have thought it was a due-out room... but stopped short of completing the job by forgetting to leave new towels behind. The next day, completely zero housekeeping. I did not choose the green option nor do I ever use the do not disturb sign. While waiting for service to be done, had food delivery already ordered, and noticed a rather obnoxious sign in the LOBBY stating outside food is only allowed in guest room. Sitting at this so-called "restaurant and bar area" I was never asked what I wanted to drink, or order... for 45 minutes.

Restaurant menu has been stripped, club lounge food non-existent (although consistent with other Sheratons)

Marriott needs to review this property for compliance with standards, and rebrand as necessary to Four Points or Courtyard. The only thing going for this location are the front desk and bar staff being friendly, and doing what they can with whatever management is slashing.

As tomorrow is my last night, I expect (as usual at this property) to be woken up prior to 8am by some housekeeping looking to check on the due-outs.

Bad customer service....my coffee machine in my room was broken. Front desk staff did not offer to replace it. Instead the girl pointed at the restaurant and said you can buy coffee over there. Then she chuckled and kept on with her conversation with her co-worker. Also the hotel is very outdated. My room had no USB ports for charging, not even on the clock radio.

Old but serviceable. They have free wifi but you have to sign in every day, no saving it to your device. The elevators are pretty fast which was nice. Room service is fairly blah and the in house restaurant is not a great place (not bad, but not great). Facilities are worn too (torn wallpaper for example).

This is not near anything and located in a commercial area. I was traveling for business and it was a perfectly fine place to sleep at night. Maybe not so much for a vacation.

Very poor experience here! Construction work started at 6am with no notice of this when booking, rooms have paper thin adjoining doors where you can hear everything your neighbors say/do, members of our party had to switch rooms multiple times because of several issues, $17 breakfast is no better than a Super 8, Concierge lounge had no drinks, a broken toaster, and ran out of food way before close of breakfast. TV remotes didn t work, taps didn t turn off, water barely warm in the shower... endless issues...To top it off we arrived at 4:45pm and still had to wait for rooms to be cleaned before we were given access.

Great place to spend mornings! There's a Starbucks with the friendliest employees, a TV/ lounge area and free WiFi. You can even get a drink at the bar (although prices aren't cheap) and there's an adorable restaurant there as well.

The rooms are dated and dingy but there were signs all over the the hotel was under construction so I don t fault that. There were holes in my towels, worse than would be acceptable at home. The AC didn t work. I called the front desk to report it, and was told maintenance would come up. Two hours later I called and asked if I had to be here since I was waiting so long and wanted to go to dinner. After three hours, I called again and got no answer so went down to the front desk, where I was told they had no record of my report. The plus side is that the food and bar is amazing and although they didn t document my calls, those I interacted with who worked at the hotel were some of the kindest people I ve met!

As a disclaimer, this hotel is under construction. We booked a double at this hotel and it had not been renovated yet. The bathroom fixtures were dirty from age and the faucet never stopped dripping. There is no fan in the bathroom. Not worth staying at until renovations are completed.

The quality of this place is greatly depreciated. Staff give you nothing but excuses and no one ever actually delivers anything you ask for. I've gone here with my extended family for years and years. It's been a steady decline. At any given time, at least one elevator isn't working; We had to take the housekeeping elevator to get to the pool and gym. Concierge floors only have king beds.... My family rented 9 rooms for 4 days and had the full disappointing experience. My 2 cents. Likely our last visit after a good 15 years of loyalty.

There is another review of this hotel that recommends not staying here during the renovations and I completely agree. Overall it just seems like nothing works here currently. Check in was slow upon arrival; a large group had come in and it does not seem like the hotel was prepared for the arrivals although the rooms had clearly been booked in advance. The room was small and dirty and the shower had mold and a lot of hair of other people. The ice maker on the 3rd floor did not work so I followed instructions to use the one of the 5th or 9th floor- I am including pictures of what guests are greeted with on the 5th floor. The website and hotel guide said room service was available, but when I called the front desk I was told room service was not available and I could come down and eat at the restaurant. The night was topped off by a bed that was creaky and uncomfortable. The sheets had an odd smell to them, beyond the typical smell of lots of bleach being used on them and felt like I was laying down on and covering up with paper. I have to assume this establishment knows it is currently offering terrible service and accommodations because upon check out, the only question I was asked was whether I wanted a paper or email receipt. Maybe once renovations are complete this hotel will be decent, but after my visit, I recommend avoiding if at all possible.

My wife and I stayed here after our wedding along with many of our guests. The lobby was very nice. However, we booked the bridal sweet which to our surprise when we opened the door was nothing more than a regular room with double beds. We called downstairs and informed them of the mix-up and the staff did offer to switch the room to one with a king bed; however, we were so tired already that we decided to just stay in the room. Two of the pillow cases were covered in stains which looked like blood, the television did not work along with the air conditioner. The sheets on the bed were made of polyester and felt like rubber. Whatever the use to wash the sheets caused me to itch uncontrollably all night. Lastly the tile grout in the bathroom was nothing short of disgusting. Aside from all the issues listed above, the staff was great. The lady that assisted me at checkout was very nice and anyone I encountered throughout my stay had great customer service skills. Management is clearly lacking and the hotel would clearly benefit from promoting lower end staff.

Beautiful hotel in Edison, in the process of renovation! Rooms are quiet and comfortable, very cute and fulfills its purpose. They re going to look even better after the renovation! Housekeeping does an excellent job and is welcome to clean my house anytime. Just 30 minutes from Atlantic Highlands, beautiful and quick ride. About 15 minutes from South Amboy. Easy access to the highway to get home (we drove from New Hampshire). Front desk is okay but that s expected, especially at 1:00 a.m. I love Sheraton Edison and am excited to go back soon.
