Decent venue for gigs. We went on the hottest day of the year thinking it was going to be absolutely roasting in there but fortunately they had air con. We saw Jenny Lewis who was superb. Recommend this place.
Seating is quite tight. Stage view is good in most areas of levels 2 & 3. Drinks are rather expensive.
Great venue. I have been here multiple times. Friendly staff, great acoustics and fair priced drinks (For London) I would say the size feels similar to somewhere like Kentish Town as opposed to a bigger venue like the Apollo. Hope to come back soon
Good venue. Easy pick up in the street behind for parents.
Went to see Howard Jones. The old building has charm and most importantly enjoyed the show.
Everytime I've been it's been way overcrowded, to the point where it genuinely feels unsafe. The only safe place to stand is where you cannot see or hear. Recommend buying seated tickets instead of standing
Great night out, not too big of a venue so really felt personal!
Fantastic heritage, great acoustics and atmosphere for live music.
Great venue. There should be more bins around inside though. Awful that people just drop their empty cups on the floor!
Probably my least favourite live music venue yet. Organisation seemed poor, and it seemed like too many people were crammed in for many people to get a good view. Staff were fantastic however, so credit to them.
This was the worst venue for live music I have been to. Had floor tickets, however could not get a spot on the floor in front of stage, close enough to see. The stage is not high enough to see anything among the crowd of people. Had to stand at the back where you're slightly up a level, but the view is blocked by the bar and the overhang of the balcony. A comment made behind me summed it up perfectly, "it's like trying to watch through a letterbox". Unless you're 7ft tall, I recommend buying seats here.
I played nice concerts on varius-Max and Szpakk M. I Dz em
Great venue and close to all public transport and what a night seeing the Revolution
Great gig, good venue but bar prices are outragous!
Legendary music venue. Intimate with great seating . The bar is a bit pricey.
fabulous evening watching Gary Numan but way to many people in the venue....felt unsafe at times
Good venue for the acoustics an for getting close to the bands
Myself and partner traveled 3 hours from Wiltshire to see the Revolution for valentines day and we thought the performance was excellent from Prince's former band, while seated at the top level very near the bar on the far left bench seated area, practically alone with plenty of room to stand and dance, at the end of the gig someone decided to help themselves to my jacket, 10 years old and of sentimental value was just hooked off my seat, Im guessing just to get lucky to find a phone or wallet, staff working the floors and security were absolutely great and very happy to help out anyway they could, so I give them 5 stars for the friendly, professional and helpful approach they took ...but the final punch in the face was when we were about to exit through the main entrance after giving up hope finding my jacket I tried to purchase a Tee shirt to remember the night and may be glaze over how upset i felt, uhhh but NO, the woman with the 40s style pink/red haircut selling the gigs clothing just shot me down point blank...
Me "Please....Could I buy a Tee shirt so that....." but before i could even finish my polite sentence she replied sharply with .....
HER "NO.... WE ARE CLOSED"
Me "OH..but there right there in front of you" stands a HUGE pile of Ts
Her "NO...WE..ARE...CLOSED"
Me "Cool...gets jacket nicked, cant buy T shirt either"
The rudest response I have ever experienced after 100 gigs I've ever been too, manners cost nothing...just not what we expected to get after being robbed in the venue.. If I was her employer and took time to read this, I would be having word with her. I'm frankly disgusted with the final end to the evening because of her.
An all seater venue isn't ideal for music on my opinion. But the reason for the one star is the fact that the only wine option is Black Tower. This is totally unacceptable in 21st century London and speaks of the contempt for their customers by the owners who know they can peddle any old rubbish at inflated prices to a captive audience. It would have to be a very compelling act playing here for me to return.
I am happy to say that Sinead O'connor still has a profound, unique, beautiful voice that really touched and impressed everyone.
Miserable, rude box-office staff.
Watch out for the fact that your ticket says "7.30pm" but the band won't be on until after 9pm.
Not useful if you have to travel.
Horrible experience.
Flat standing area means it s quite hard to see the stage, almost impossible if you re short. But a good size venue so there s a good atmosphere whilst still quite intimate.
Fantastic night singing with the Mass Choir a great celebration of lost artists to HIV
Intimate music venue. Great place to see your favourite bands.
Entry was smooth, and seating in the upper rows was decent. One negative was the acoustics which made it difficult to hear the artist performing.
Great venue, great bands, great memories. Nothing bad to say about this venue.
Always enjoyed this venue, easy to get to from the underground station. Plenty of space for standing or sitting. Though drinks as you would expect a little on the expensive side.
Saw JD McPherson & Charley Crockett 2nd March. Fantastic venue - comfortable upstairs, great acoustics & lovely cheerful staff. Parking really easy at Westfield. Will look out for other events here.
Excellent venue for clubbing, concerts and other events, good bar services on ground floor level.
Great venue, seen a couple of acts here and the sound and experience has been great.
Went to see Deerhunter there
Had a level 3 ticket where you have to seat like for an opera/ballet
no point for a gig.
the staff is rude
sound is not really good
Wont be going back,.. security staff annoying everyone,.. total dump
Good venue, nice balcony and stalls standing, balcony a bit tight
Great venue, perfectly sized not overcrowded and decent range of artists on
Went to a concert here back in October staff were really friendly it is a really nice venue
A lovely venue .Great views from all the balconies (I am short so being on the floor would be no good for ) .The staff are really helpful .The sound system there was really good.
Great venue, drinks at O2 venues are pretty bad though...
Beautiful old theatre, but the facilities (if you can call them that) are dreadful - under stocked and overpriced bar, filthy toilets, carpets and upholstery smells, the whole place looks and smells like it hasn't had a proper clean let alone redecoration for a century.
Friendly staff, however we were kept for over an hour out of the venue before they let us in as they were late. Not cheap tickets to be kept out in rain and wind
Beautiful place but very cold, they never turned off the air conditioning
A delightfully intimate venue space with both standing and seated options and a variety of easily accessible bars
To busy, couldnt move, completey squashed, couldn't really see anything. People being pushed over. Won't go back.
I went to see A Bowie Celebration here . My friend and I both suffer with back challenges, therefore we booked accessibility tickets. We were so well looked after, from a lift to our seats, to the really helpful staff from Showsec, especially Louise and Raymond who could not do enough to make our visit comfortable. Thank you all so much xx
Very cozy theatre, notte splendida insidie, especially in the upper part but nice, anyway...
Front of house are so helpful, considerate with regards to wheelchair access. They didn't make it feel as it was a chore for them but were just very welcoming.
Went to see Ministry tonite at the Empire!! They were bleeping amazing!!! Played the new album the the old classics!!B-) B-)
Nice old theatre. Friendly accommodating staff. Great concert Jon Hiseman Tribute. But ordinary seats are far too small leg room would suit a six year old. Everyone else suffers economy class syndrome.
Excellent venue, well laid out and a lot of thought gone into it. The total live experience. Down the front or up the back, sound and lighting was brilliant. Great place for live music.
Great venue. Very intimate for gigs. Great view from everywhere. However...the night I went to see The Revolution (Prince's old band) it was ridiculously overcrowded. So much so that you couldn't even move on the main floor. They must have sold too many tickets, never seen anything like it in all the gigs I've been to.
Nice venue, great sound. I asked for a white wine soda at the bar and he had no idea what I meant but thats ok as I thought he was new. Lovely enthusiastic staff when the band was playing though - great vibes and a great evening.
Just seen Avitar live here and it a small but great venue
Great venue for live music. We went to the Police Dog Hogan gig and it was amazing. Sound quality could have been a lot better and please do something about your wine list...echo falls....really??
Great venue. Drinks not megga expensive. Staff friendly and very helpful
