The staff is great but average room for the money beach is not much they have parked jet ski's so you smell fumes also you have to rent beach chairs

Great ambiance, great pool, great music, great buffet.

Do not stay here. There is an outdoor nightclub on the property that plays music so loudly that your room literally shakes. And it doesn t stop until 3am. We stayed on what the hotel considers the quiet side of the resort . There is nothing quiet about it. Other hotel guests were buying ear plugs just so they can sleep. And on top of it our room was filthy. Dirt on the floor and hair all over the bathroom and tub. Disgusting. A total waste of money.

Great atmosphere but can get a bit rowdy. Security guard had to kick a few people out for being inappropriate on the dance floor. Otherwise, good music and drinks.

Had a great time, resort was beautiful ,staff was amazingly, housekeeping was wonderful and can't wait to come back

Very nice place but don't stay here unless you are coming to party! The place is very noisy at night.

Great hotel, pool , hot tub. Food is good. Lots of beverages to choose from... location on the inlet is nice as we rented jet skis today from them on site. Hotel was really clean and newer. Staff is friendly as well.

One of my absolute favorite places to go at the beach. Awesome atmosphere and great entertainment. It's a plus that you can access the beach right from the tiki deck!!!

Awesome staff, management very accommodating, free parking, insane views of the ocean and gulf. Only drawback is it's also the hottest club location so its loud till about 2am during peak sprink break season. Rate are cheaper through third party agents and possibly through calling management.

Staff was friendly, but this place is more for adults then family. The beach area very small, ants in our room, and the tub I don't think k was cleaned because there was soP oin the time. From last guest I'm guessing. . Not a place for kids. Maybe if your in your 20's okay.

Music is crazy loud at night so get room facing street. Otherwise, it's just enough to spend a perfect weekend at the pool hanging out.

Saw great band and danced with some Caribbean cuties. It was a bit hot but fun!

We made reservations for Thanksgiving dinner at the Ocean Grill Restaurant here. The food was okay. But because they clearly overbooked to maximize their profit, the 45 minute wait when you had a reservation made the experience less than pleasant.

Went for our anniversary and our oceanfront room had a view of the parking garage next door you could barely see the ocean at all. We were 3 floors above the night club and it sounded like we were in it. It was super loud until 2 am every night. Would not stay here again.

Shephard's Beach Resort Buffet reminds of the buffet restaurants in Los Vegas! This one place you should not by pass if your looking for a place to eat and be satisfied.

Beautiful hotel right on the beach walk right out on to the beach from the fun club to see a amazing sunset. Wonderful venue for our reunion very classy

Our stay was on a Sunday evening. The rooms were very nice and the staff was friendly. My rating was based on the music. Somehow, I picture a beach resort with some type of music reflecting the beach atmosphere but I guess I was wrong! The resort music was directed more at the very young, party/nightclub customers. I could have even tolerated a mixture of music but the entire night, we were blasted with extremely loud TECHNO music. We tried to sit as far away from the stage area as possible but it was still difficult to hear the conversation. To make matters worse, our room over looked the pool/bar area so we couldn't even sit on our balcony in peace.

I was also disappointed in the breakfast. I have had better continental breakfasts that were free of charge. It was dried out from sitting under heat lamps and I felt overpriced for the food selection that was offered.

It wasn't the worst resort that I have ever stayed in but I doubt I would stay there again and definitely not if they had the techno DJ/band scheduled.

My friends brought me to Shepard's for lunch. Wow! What a treat. Buffet is the best. Crab legs, crab legs, and more and did I mention crab legs?

Had drinks and enjoyed the band beachside. The service was quick and polite.

Great spot, close to everything else, great beach and venue access. Can be a bit crowded, but never lacks entertainment. Amazing spot for holiday celebrations like 4th of July or NYE.

Killed it dancing West Coast Swing at the Wave club, plus lots of dancing outside too. Love this place!!! Great atmosphere, good drinks, always good bands... lots of space for dancing.

I had an amazing experience here! I did the parasailing and the jetskiing both in ine day and I wanted to do more! The lrices are best if you go before noon (12pm) like we did. The parasailing was very easy and even for someone who doesnt like heights a lot it was not concerning. The jet skiing was the most fun all day. We only paid for the half hour, but it sure went by fast! Just a heads up: do the fl boaters permit test BEFORE attempting to rent because we didn't know and it took us 30 minutes to do the test. Everyone born after 1980 has to do it and it takes like 30 minutes...just a heads up. Ask the stand-manager for details because they don't advertise it and it almost discouraged us from even trying to jet-ski. However after completing and passing the test we were on our way.

This is a great property for the price. We booked another hotel that was not good stayed here great rooms, great restaurant. We'll be back.

Went to the night club for drinks and a good time I did not stay overnight at the hotel. The first drink I got tasted disgusting and was extremely overpriced after that I did run buckets which taste DELICIOUS and got a good buzz for a good price. As far as the atmosphere of people and the crowds shepard's is always a hit or miss place but I can honestly say I had fun this time in comparison to previous experiences. You never know what you're going to get at the club in shepard's.

There is no place like this in Clearwater Florida. The food is great and the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food they serve.

I'm not much of a sea food person so it's not really for me, but what I did eat was good and the service was absolutely terrific

I will not stay at this resort again. As a paying guest of the resort I was denied entry into the tiki bar due to capacity. Guests of the resort should take priority over the general public. This is not the case. I do not know why they give you a wrist ban to wear when it carries no weight. If customer service is important to you, do NOT stay here.

Fabulous buffet, Sunday brunch, all you can eat crab, prime rib, smoked salmon. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Amazing view

This was our 50th anniversary , even though we only live 10min. away every one made sure everything was spectacular for us.
Jose front desk PLEASE don't let this fine young man go anywhere.

Vip for Oakenfold was awesome. Nice, clean facility. Nice room. Pricey, and can be douchey, but everything is what you make it.

Management is terrible. Housekeeping walked in on us twice. When I complained to Cody, the manager on duty at the time, she told me that she reviewed the cameras and that didn't happen. When I asked to see the footage, she asked me to leave or she would call the cops. I told her to call them, as I had done nothing wrong. I was frustrated that she basically called me a liar and then tried to dismiss me by involving the police. You can not go to jail by voicing your concerns. Also, she would not give me her bosses contact info. But now I will do my own research and find out who corporate is and make sure everyone knows about this. The amount of money you pay a night for this to happen and then to be treated like this, is unacceptable. I will not rest until I get in touch with every manager responsible and until corporate is notified. Save your money and go somewhere else because if there's any problem during your stay they will not address it.

Hotel was nice, staff was friendly. Ocean Flame restaurant amazing! **Front desk manager Raja was very rude and pushy I was very displeased with his management skills. We stayed a few days for our honeymoon over 4th of July.

I emailed desk manager Raja regarding concerns and issues we experienced. He called my room and yelled at me over the phone claiming he had no control and could not do anything to correct the issue. He was so obnoxious and I was so offended I hung up. I've never witnessed such poor management!

We like the buffet at oceans flame. The crabs legs are no longer on the buffet though (you have to pay extra and the wait staff brings them to the table). Always live music. Don't know much about the resort. You can watch the boats come and go through the pass.

Normally visit Shepards when we're in the area passing by on our boat, BUT, TODAY, TODAY was total harrassment not only for us, for every boater there too! Sad. Your security guy wouldn't come into the water to speak to us yet felt need to give a speech to my son, who's only 14 years old. Unacceptable Remember Shepard's boating community is HUGE, the last thing you want to do is put a bad taste in every boaters mouth, because word gets around, and business will slowly hurt you.

Great place for any occasion with great views and clean rooms.

Not worth the money to go right now. There's no dance floor and I was told you have to make reservations for a table $260 included is a bottle so some of my guest couldn't make it only to get there for them to let a whole group of people pay and sit at the bar without any reservations. Highly disappointed.

Fun times! Located right on Clearwater Beach. It was a busy night with a good band with an island beat that was fun and easy to dance to. One of my best memories!

We were very impressed with this resort!! Loved the private beach, the pool, and the beautiful view from our balcony! The customer service was exceptional! Shout out to Jose for always being so helpful and friendly throughout our stay! We definitely will be staying here again!

The all you can eat snow crabs now cost extra. I guess this was our last visit. It was clean for a buffet. Buffets aren't my favorite because of the other people but if I had to go to one it would be sheppards. Drink was weak. Would not order from bar again.

Always a blast to come here, you gotta try the ocean flame buffet, always fresh food and the vibe here is always great
