Although I would like to parade about the amenities of this resort, I would NOT be coming back to Shepards. The resort is infested with creepy crawlers (see photos). There were so many, we began to collect them on a plate for evidence. They came out in droves within the first hour of our stay. We immediately contacted the front desk for another room. Due to no availability, they insisted to spray the room and reduce our final cost. All in all, the bug spray did nothing to keep the crawlers away.
The amenities were nice in which there was a live band every night of our stay.
Smoking is permitted anywhere on the property, which isn t fair to kids (and non smokers) who have to endure second hand smoke. The resort should look into a secluded smokers section (or room) to accommodate smokers and also keep the air clean.
Not sure what the resort fee covers because you have to pay for chairs, umbrellas and all water sports. You can go to Jamaica and enjoy all of those luxuries as part of your stay.
Last, do not waste your hard earned money on any of the buffets. Go to a local restaurant and spend the same amount of money on pancakes, eggs, etc and enjoy your food!
