Nathan was there on time and explained how my system was doing and what I needed to do to keep it going. I've used shavitz for over 20 years and was recommended by my parents who used them years before me. The technician even agreed to come at 7:30am even though his schedule starts at 8.

Today I had my new air conditioner and heater installed by Mike and Linas from Shavitz. They showed up promptly at 8 am, ready to hit the ground running. They removed the old heater unit and air conditioning unit, and installed new units. They also installed a new thermostat, which they relocated to a more suitable location, and in doing so, wired it to the furnace (so no more batteries to replace!). Other items - a new humidifier unit and a new electrostatic filter element. They finished "as advertised" a bit before 5 pm, and left the worksite cleaner than they found it. I'd recommend Shavitz and their team any time. Well done!

After speaking to the owner call my he responded to the post I made about not calling and the post I made about not calling or shall we not up for the appointment. His response stated that he called. After reading at I checked. He had called 2 hours before and asked if he could reschedule my appointment to earlier since one of his appointments had canceled. He did not call anywhere near the time of the appointment and as far as I know he never came regardless of what he said. The owner also stated that the office called. I have no record of that call, nothing in my log and no message left. It's nice that he gets to say whatever he wants regard list of what the truth is. I would never recommend Shavitz.
Just bought a condo in Chicago. Furnace installed in 2005. Called Shavitz for a routine check up and maintenance call. Hah! This furnace needed rehab. The filter probably hadn't been changed in years, never mind anything else. Shawn Bensinger came on the call and saved the day. He knew exactly what he was doing, explained every step as he took the furnace apart, showed every part that he recommended replacing, and quoted the prices of each as he went along. No surprises at the end. Every other part was cleaned and brought back to life. The condo has no slop sink so I suggested he wash one big piece in the tub. He did and then left the tub sparkling. The work took almost 4 hours. Not only did he patiently continue working at our place, he talked with his office so other people expecting him that day knew what was going on with their call. We have been customers of Shavitz for years. We know they have outstanding people, like Cornelius who has kept our 100 year old boiler running great. Shawn is an impressive example of how well they are bringing in new professionals. He's 32, has been at Shavitz for 4 years, and has the skills Shavitz is known for. Highly recommended.

Twice now I've had technicians from Shavitz in my home - Henry and Miguel. Both were incredible, detail oriented, and extremely professional. This company is the real deal. I hired 3 "hacks" over the years to fix various things (A/C, Ductwork etc.). Shavitz was the only one to take a step back, analyze the problem, calculate (using real standards...) and calibrate to solve the issue. The result was new Return ductwork that improved the comfort and quality of air, and although it was a complicated solution it was not a "bandaid", it was the RIGHT way to solve the issue. Shavitz has been great to work with. When we bought our condo unit from our landlord, we had no idea how old (14 years) and how poorly maintained (not at all) our HVAC system was. Shavitz has cleaned and maintained our HVAC and kept it working beautifully for the last few years by taking appointment reminders out of our forgetful hands and following up in a timely way when anything is needed. Their technicians are always exceptionally polite, work quickly, and explain things thoroughly. We can't comment as to the affordability compared to other services, as they were our first choice and performed so well we never thought to look elsewhere.

I was very pleased at the short time between ordering and the actual installation the next day. Mr. Mirek arrived on time, identified himself, donned shoe protectors and went to work. He had a friendly approachable attitude and was eager to answer all my questions. There are always options to such an installation (humidifier) and he explained why he put things where he did. He walked me through the steps to operate and maintain the unit. Then he left leaving everything in good order. I have dealt with Shavitz before and their service is consistently of this high quality.
When I called Shavitz Heating I requested David Dulin because I was pleased with work he had done for me last summer. He was professional, competent and quick to finish. He was also able to accommodate a shift in the timing of the appointment. All in all, I was very pleased and would definitely recommend Shavitz Heating and David Dulin to anyone who needed.
Mirek from Shavitz installed a new furnace for us today. We were extremely impressed with his knowledge of the whole system and the problem that caused the furnace to need replacement. Mirek was patient in fully answering all of our questions and did an exemplary job on the project.

Great experience with Shavitz Heating & Air. Jennifer was very lovely in helping my neighbor and I get set up with an appointment. We were overdue on getting our cooling systems cleaned, and since it was late in the summer season, Jennifer suggested an all-in-one cleaning at the end of the summer so we could get not only the cooling systems cleaned, but also prep the heating system ahead of the winter. Cornelius and Jose just serviced our units, and were great to work with. They arrived within the timeslot Jennifer provided, and did a thorough job answering all our questions and recommending future solutions. He even offered to clean our humidifier (at an minor, additional cost). Would definitely recommend, and will use them in the future.
Don't bother, they don't answer your calls, I called them at very least 5 times, no answer.

Shavitz installed an HVAC system for me a few years ago. The product is excellent. I purchased the maintenance program, and the technicians that come to service the system are friendly, professional, and considerate. My only complaint is that it's challenging to get appointments on Saturdays. I work during the day, and I have to arrange to take time off of work to be home on weekdays. When I mentioned this to Rich D. today, he made sure to get me a Saturday appointment for the winter checkup. Thank you!

I had a regular check-up on my 12-year old boiler. The technician was polite, professional and efficient. He described everything he was going to do and, once he was done, everything he'd done and one of the problems he'd found and fixed. There was no extra charge for that. I was happy with the service.
