Just bought a condo in Chicago. Furnace installed in 2005. Called Shavitz for a routine check up and maintenance call. Hah! This furnace needed rehab. The filter probably hadn't been changed in years, never mind anything else. Shawn Bensinger came on the call and saved the day. He knew exactly what he was doing, explained every step as he took the furnace apart, showed every part that he recommended replacing, and quoted the prices of each as he went along. No surprises at the end. Every other part was cleaned and brought back to life. The condo has no slop sink so I suggested he wash one big piece in the tub. He did and then left the tub sparkling. The work took almost 4 hours. Not only did he patiently continue working at our place, he talked with his office so other people expecting him that day knew what was going on with their call. We have been customers of Shavitz for years. We know they have outstanding people, like Cornelius who has kept our 100 year old boiler running great. Shawn is an impressive example of how well they are bringing in new professionals. He's 32, has been at Shavitz for 4 years, and has the skills Shavitz is known for. Highly recommended.
