Walking through a piece of literary and theatrical history is great, but having a funny and knowledgeable guide makes the experience all the more memorable. Suitable to all ages, languages, levels of Shakespearean education. I'd go again if I could.

One visit here to see The Magic Numbers. Very exciting even though it is a reproduction, great to get the feel of the original theatre. Good food with themed days offering contemporary food styles.

Before the tour of the theatre a couple of young ladies displayed garments worn by the cast from differant plays. The tour was very interesting, telling the history of the previous globe. Ive been wanting to come here ever since I saw a Dr Who episide filmed here!

Saw a super fun production of A Midsummer Nights Dream -excellent! Lots of atmosphere & audience involvement making it a real theatre experience. A must-do! The location is of course fantastic esp on a lovely balmy night! Be prepared for no backs to the benches, unless in back row - or first row you can lean on the front barrier.

If you need to be sent back in time to 16th century, then take a tour of the Globe theatre. Our guide was fun and charismatic! We learnt a lot about this amazing theatre and highly recommend the tour - do book in advance! There s also a costume demonstration about 30 minutes before which was also very informative. Great day out!

Best show that I've seen at the globe this year.
Terrific acting & timing really bought Shakespeare to life.
Like a runaway train we were all drawn in to the drama of the moment.

Great place to watch some truly stellar performances however also a MASSIVE health and safety risk! I went here with my sixth form to watch Romeo and Juliet and the sun was absolutely beating down, the lights changed on the stage and a woman in front of me in the pit collapses, she is quickly seem by an elderly volunteer and this volunteer just runs over and puts her hand up. Meanwhile this woman on the floor is very obviously having an epileptic fit, her head banging on floor, no one knew what was happening or was trained in basic first aid this should be addressed IMMEDIATELY as I spoke to someone outside who said every time they ve visited they ve seen someone collapse and the volunteers do nothing. Sort this out guys.

Though one of the bag checkers outside was quite rude and unhelpful, all other staff were lovely and caring. The venue is absolutely beautiful and the snow itself was fantastic. Will be returning.

We took the tour and ate a sandwich. The tour was very informative, but the guide occasionally got lost in what he was saying. The crowd was very interested in the modern globe, but not so much about the history from Shakespeare's time. It will be great to see a show in the summer

Went to the guided tour: the guide was friendly and had a good sense of humour. However I felt the tour was too short.

Although the whole experience lasted about 40 minutes, 10 minutes of it was spent on setting up headphones (which could have been handed out in advance upon arrival). I expected to see at least a backstage tour (like at National Theatre and Oslo Opera), but we were only shown the stage and auditorium.

I'd probably advise booking for an actual play instead of the tour itself.

Probably very interesting, we took vouchers (reservation ticket) by an external organization. Although arrived at the opening the access was refused to us because the visits were complete and it is impossible to visit the Shakespeare's Globe in autonomy ... Remember to book well in advance via the website of the museum!

Great venue, and with all due consideration to it's historical significance - the adjacent and more modern amenity building is really let down by its limited facilities and the bar selection is unusually sparse

It is of course a reproduction but it is fabulous. It is so well done you forget it or a reproduction. Stepping back in time you will relive all of your school studies, it makes history come alive. You can tour the theater and/or see a production. It is located in the Thames just down from the Tate Modern. It is a lovely way to spend a day. Great photo ops.

The tour was well worth the price. The tour guide really put us in the mood for what it was like in the original Globe. The building itself felt not quite "authentic" in that it's new but an authentic reproduction with great care to use period construction techniques.

Disneyland version of Shakespeares Globe, boring, stuffy productions, far superior productions at the Almieda, National, and bridge theatres. Emma Rice did a good job of livening the place up, but the stick in the muds didn't think it was appropriate. In truth it wouldn't survive as a working theatre if it wasn't for the tourists.

Nowhere quite like the globe to watch Shakespeare. Home to the bard himself, steeped in history, every play I have seen here has been brilliant. Would definitely recommend getting the seats as the free time I've been it's poured with rain. Not fun in the open air standing bit.
