Started as food cart inside Madison Square Park and now they have 66 branches all over the world. Do watch out for this brand as they are expanding very fast and their cheese burgers often consistently well reviewed. Their burger quality is even better than In-N-Out and McDonalds. Shake Shack also famous for their milk shakes and that's why there are "shake" on the brand name. The burger meat is tender and flavourful. The cheese were melt in your mouth kind of feeling. The burger was cooked medium rare by default unless otherwise requested.

I've visited this place a few times, and my, no wonder they're so popular. They probably have the best smoothies! Also a great place to get burger and fries. They have the mushroom burger for vegetarians which is very good.

Who doesn't love Shake Shack and this is one of the better locations simply because the lines aren't as long here, they move fast and with smaller wait times who's complaining not to mention the staff appears to exemplify professional courtesy here at all times with a smile.

So as you already know shake shack has some of the most fantastically juicy and tasty burgers of which I actually have two number 1 favorites here, I like everything as a double so no single burgers for me or the family and see below.

Shack Stack - Cheeseburger and a 'Shroom Burger topped with lettuce, tomato, ShackSauce this is such a juicy, cheesy and thick burger full on flavor grease and fat and I love it!

SmokeShack - Cheeseburger topped with all-natural applewood smoked bacon, chopped cherry pepper, ShackSauce - It's the chopped Cherry Peppers that makes this burger that much more better for me due to the hot and spicy levels.

The rest of the family likes the Smoke shack minus the peppers.

We gave the chicken shack a try and thought we would just stick to the burgers.

We don't do fries or drinks here simply because we take our burgers to go and fries don't hold up well during the travels so I can only speak to the burgers which we've been eating since Shake Shake opened its door here in the Metropolitan area many years ago.

There is plenty of seating located throughout the Grand Central Food courts so finding a seat to eat your burger n fries shouldn't be an issue here.

The food here is fantastic! But beware it can get pricey. I tried the mushroom burger stuffed with cheese and I think I like it better than the actually hamburgers here. The lines are always long around lunch time and when everyone gets off of work. The atmosphere in madison sq park is really lovely especially in warmer weather. Also watch out for the squirrels they will attack you for food

Order ahead! This place gets crazy busy just like every other shake shack, but it's worse here because everyone stops in before getting on/off their trains in Grand Central. Besides the usual mob of a line, the food is predictably incredible; A Shack Burger is truly God's gift to mankind!

If you like the burgers here--Go for it. I am not fond of the cold meat with a slice of lettuce on a hard bun. It was quicker hear than other shake shacks but I still do not like this at all. The fries aren't crispy!!! The shakes are filling and I have a feeling the malteds are made from more than just ice cream. I tried it and it's still on my --bottom feeder list.
Staff good/area clean/quick lines.

Organic burgers of great taste and quality, including bread. Ingenious the system to make the queue that avoids unnecessary mess: first pay at the cash desk, forward the order in the kitchen, and from another window they call you when it's ready. Unfortunately the price is as salty as the sandwiches are good ...

They served the people right in front of us but refused to serve us. After the people in front of us paid and recieved their food, the girl turned her back to talk to another worker for a few minutes. Eventually she turned to us and said "oh sorry, we closed the registers." No you didn't! We just saw them pay! First and only experience with Shake Shack. Screw that. I will never consider getting anything there again.

Shake shack burgers never disappoint.

Shake shack burgers never disappoint.

The location is conveniently situated in the dining concourse of Grand Central Station, though the long lines and cramped space make the experience less than ideal. Limited seating is another factor.

This was without a doubt the best Hamburger restaurant I have ever been to. Great burgers and nice drinks. It doesn t look and taste as cheap as McDonalds or Burger King but it s also not as expensive as Five Guys. Well done Shake

Decided to finally try this place out for lunch today. Never doing that again...at least not at this location. There's no organization or order at any of the lines. There's a pick up area, an online pick up area, and (I guess) an area to place an order. Everybody is just clustered up near the regular pick up area to try and get their order. I placed my order online and stood in that area for about 10 minutes. A girl is standing at the counter, messing around on her phone, but looks like she's trying to help customers. When we made eye contact, I waved at her with my phone in hand to say I placed an online order. She says "I'm on break", but asks what my name is anyway to see what I ordered. If you're on break, then why are you at the counter looking like you trying to help people? I get my food, there's items that I asked for that were missing, and I was just disappointed with the whole experience. I'll still eat at a Shake Shack, just never at this one again.

Morning 8am was not that busy.
Venue has a great seating area.
Staff is very efficient.
Shack burger is classic piece of perfection, although someone who likes more taste I'd recommend smoke shack- has some spicy bits.
For two burgers and a soda I left 16$.
