The food tastes great and is consistent each time. I usually get the shroom burger and it fills me up well. The shakes are nothing super special, but they hit the spot. The grand Central location is convenient when waiting for a train, but the line is always long and it can take a while. If you're on a tight schedule, I suggest ordering ahead using the app.

Delicious milkshakes! One of the best I've been told. The queue was a little long and the wait for two milkshakes a bit long too. I'm sure they could make milkshakes while peoples burgers are cooking etc.
Food is great, always busy, not enough sitting places plus people who are not eating insist in seating and taking room from people who already have their food. Obviously not a restaurant problem but be aware you might have to wait until you find a sitting spot.
The line was long but it moved fast. Grand Central is a nice environment. There were many options and the burgers were filling. The cheese fries were surprisingly tasty, though nauseating.
Shake Shack in Grand Central Station. There is a train from here, so when you go out to the suburbs, you want to stop by quickly. The atmosphere in the station Naka is also good.
Tasty fast burgers. The bun can sometimes be a bit too greasy For this loctaion, seating is extremely limited. This one does have the pick up buzzers. Not a wide speciality variety but a sufficient amount.
Let me start by saying, I LOVE Shake Shack. However, this location is frustrating for a variety of reasons. First, the food takes way too long (like 10-20 minutes sometimes) for a place where people have trains to catch. Second, the place to wait for your food is so cramped and chaotic. But when the stars align and I am able to eat Shake Shack on the train...I am a happy gal.
Very good restaurant, true to the Shake Shack reputation, it is nonetheless regrettable a lack of seating because of the location, attentions to the busy hours so!
My first time ever getting a chance to eat at this place and it was everything I wanted it to be and more. I can definitely say now that I've been Shake Shacked! The burgers and the chicken is just immaculate
I ordered stackshake and I must say it was delicious. Mushroom over beef and melted cheese was burst of flavors. Not to mention the convenient location of shake shack at grand central station and fast and friendly service. There app pickup orders are so convenient. I ordered my food and five minutes into my train time I got my food and I was still able to catch my train. Looks like I found my go to daily spot.
The que was not well enough organized and the pick up area was in chaos. Burgers and fries seemed better the presatstion was sloppy. Many orders where not made the was that had been ordered. In all fairness they where definitely short staffed for Sunday at around 6 pm. Peak time for families going home. I would although return. I reached out to Corp and got a immediately was replied to and offered compasation in the form of a meal voucher. In my opinion besides a one time misstep. I would return. The employee did the best they could considering.
This is the place where I tasted my first shake shack burger. It's quite epic place though, you can sit down in the historical building, Grand Central, whilst enjoying your burger which has a great taste and great price.
Small branch at the basement of Central Starion but that doesn t mean the burgers are any less. Thin but juicy, crisp-edged and delicious burger patties plus thick shakes. What more can you ask for?
The food here is good, but the line is ridiculous. You will be waiting in line for a while so I recommend ordering through the app to pick up or avoiding the 12pm-2pm rush
Like most New Yorkers, I love Shake Shack. Get the cheese fries. For the love of all that's good, get the cheese fries. Their shakes are also a must. Very indulgent but worth it!
This Shake Shack location is just like the others. Friendly staff, fast service, and consistent food. The only difference is that this one is located in the iconic Grand Central Terminal.
It s located on the basement concourse amongst the other food court options. Needless to say that this place is a popular choice.
We came here shortly after it opened for lunch so the line was luckily only 3 people ahead of us. Browsing the laminated menu, we settled for a (mu)shroom burger with some bacon cheese fries on the side.
That smashed burger with cheese and the meaty panko-fried portobello mushroom were not overdone and the remaining encoutrement complimented it well.
The crinkle fries were fresh from the fryer and dipping it in the American cheese sauce was as fatty as you could possible get.
The experience is consistent with the other Shake Shack s in town. Nothing else left to say.
So disappointing. I've always avoided this place because of the crazy lines. Finally made the effort and was rewarded with a dry, overcooked and flavorless burger. Toppings were good but that hardly makes up for it.
First time at Shake Shack on 12/15/2018. They had no shakes and got the order wrong. A poorly ran business based on first experience. I hope it gets better if I choose to visit again.
It is a very busy place but it is worth waiting for. The food is made with charcoal, which gives a distinctive flavor to the meat. The potatoes with cheese and bacon are the best. The milkshakes are very rich and there were special Christmas editions. It is a highly recommended restaurant typical of New York. They have to go and try the food of this place
GO HERE. Don't question if you should or not. Just do it. There's a reason Jim Gaffigan talks about it. And he isn't joking. Glad they opened one at the Mall of America in Minnesota (thank you Shake Shack!). And get a shake, it's half the joint's name for a reason.
Not The best food. Looks more like a glorified McDonald's burger joint. Burger itself was quite nice but small. Not the value for money I was expecting. And not much filling in between. Overall poor. Location was great, in the grand central.
Ordered my food, waited 15 minutes. No food. Told people behind the counter I was going to miss my train. Waited 5 more minutes. No food. I had to leave to catch my train after waiting for 20 minutes without my food and out the $8. This place is staffed by young incompetent poorly trained people with no sense of customer service. I highly recommend NOT dining here. Horrible customer service.
I really enjoyed spending a very limited area, the food is very good and very good and they give you a good deal, it's fine if you go to Grand Central and want to eat or rest
This Shake Shack is located in a food court at the Grand Central Station. Therefore, they quickly serving foods. Maybe, the menu is a little bit different with other Shake Shack stores. Tastes of burgers are totally the same. Also, this store is not so crowded because of in the food court. It s a convenient place. However, staff members are little bit rough.
