Bobby was very knowledgeable on what needed to happen and great to work with. Al did a great job on responding quickly and getting started. All the employees that came into my home were professional and did an amazing job!

Absolutely horrible, was told one thing, got another and got charged more then twice then expected so after 4600 we still get 2 weeks of cleaning things that were missed, I would strongly recommend finding a different Avenue, sorry guys but it's based on honesty and broken trust isn't fixed without showing some trust yourselves.

When Servicemaster of Salem was done, our worn and scratched cherry wood floors looked like new!! The care and attention given to the project was refreshing. I was very impressed with the service received. I needed a crawl space inspection for my home to determine the extent of a rodent infestation problem and options for a fix. The information I received from the project manager and the field technician was very useful to me. Their work was timely, thorough and reasonably priced. The office support team also was responsive and courteous.

We had work done on our rental house (water leak) by Service Master and would definitely consider it a negative experience. The work seemed to drag on. I now wonder if there was a reason the first person dealing with our case kept highly recommending us to use an outside contractor for the work after the mitigation was finished. The general contractor was great to work with at the start but, as time went by, started cutting corners and didn't end up finishing the work, or completing tasks we had discussed. I did a walk through at the end and we went over a few of at least basic things that needed to be done. Only part of them got done. I ended up having to do caulking around the sink and shower, removing vanities (he said they would, gave my tenants a time his guys would be there and never showed up), never vacuumed the carpets (he first said they'd be cleaned and then changed that to vacuumed) which looked like a mess since they had been working in the house for 4+ months. My tenant actually ended up cleaning them herself. At the end the general contractor would no longer respond to any contact from me. When I went to pay my bill, I told the secretary a bit of our experience and she just kept processing the bill and wouldn't acknowledge anything I said.

I've used ServiceMaster on two occasions: one following a basement flood, and the other in a way I never would have thought of... a remodel. Brian and Noel are honest men of the highest integrity and although one of the subcontractors on the remodel proved inferior, ServiceMaster didn't hesitate to step in with their own crew to get the job done right. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

I have refered ServiceMaster of Salem to my clients for a longtime and they have never failed me. I recently had a water issue at my home and I have to say their mitigation team was at my home the same day and prevent additional problems! They got the repair done in a timely and a cost efficent way. I am proud to refer them to my clients when disater strikes and will be the only company I use in my personal life as well!

I had a pipe burst under my sink pouring water all over my kitchen. I got ahold of service master and they got someone out the next day to check for moisture and worked around my work schedule to get people out to tear up the floor and begin the drying process. They are fast and friendly and work with your insurance company. Great company!!!

I received a call this morning at 7:45 from a client saying that their shop had flooded from an outside water source. I contacted Jan Warren at ServiceMaster of Salem right away. They dispatched to the site immediately. I appreciate their prompt response to my client's needs.

Charged my insurance 8k to clean up from smoke damage sent in a 6 person crew and things were wiped around and whole areas missed individual items forget about it. They did a 500 dollar job maybe and ate into our insurance limits. Get yourself a public adjuster get the money up front and hire smaller better companies

4 star rating only because of employee Kyle Cullins, who did a 5 star job. A very excellent experience because of his professionalism all around. He not only did an amazingly thorough job, but he was most pleasant and courteous as well. We are very grateful to have had him.

Without Kyle saving the day, we would not have been able to rate ServiceMasters of Salem high at all because of an atrocious display of the worst case lack of good customer service. An appointment time was scheduled by Samantha for "sometime in the afternoon." I appreciated that because as I had informed them already, I worked graveyard and slept through most mornings. I was up that day by 11 am. No one showed, so at 3 pm I called Service Masters. They said Kyle had been there at 1130 am, rang the bell, and then waited for a long time out front. Naturally I knew this was untrue since I was up and waiting. I spoke to someone else to lodge a complaint, and was told he was scheduled to be there at 12 pm that day. ??? Then I checked my phone and found that Kyle had been there at 10 am that morning and had waited. Remember Samantha had told me in the afternoon sometime. I rescheduled for the next convenient time for ServiceMaster, NOT the next convenient time for me at all. This resulted in both my husband and myself having to put off our bedtime for hours that morning.

I can only assume that all this confusing conflict which resulted in 4 different appointment times being claimed, is probably because ServiceMaster prefers to do things when they are able, and not when their customers are. Pursuing the issue, I saw an amazing jumble of something I do not want to see again. Unless I know that I will get Kyle to clean for me. ServiceMasters owe a big Thanks to him for not only cleaning my house well, but also for cleaning up the offices dysfunctional big mess also.

Wow...Service Master of Salem really impressed me. Mike J. and his team were awesome. From the very beginning with scheduling to showing up on time and working hard to get the job done within the allotted timeframe. Very amazing customer service. Everyone at Chemawa Indian School would like to thank you for your hard work in getting our auditorium cleaned up in a professional and timely manner so that our students can access that area once again. I know for me there was no way I could physically do the job, so I agreed and the interviewers agreed not to waste each others time. And I bowed out of the rest of the interview. Maybe for your sake in the ad explain that job entails heavy lifting and on your feet all the time. With me I have plantar fasciitis and it just would not work out for myself. Someone in better shape with no limitations then job match might be fine.

They were quick to arrive and get the water mitigation underway. The techs appear to be knowledgeable and treat you with respect. They check everything so they know what needs to be done and explain it all before they begin. Hopefully I don't need to, but I would definitely use them again should the need arise.

Such an enormous amount of appreciation for ServiceMaster of Salem! First lesson learned: Never leave an upstairs sink of full blast, get distracted, then leave the house for several hours. You return to an enormous flood, with water dripping down the walls and saturating the hard wood floors. Second lesson learned: Call ServiceMaster of Salem.
Immediate response, amazing professionalism, calming and supportive throughout the whole process. They coordinated the subcontractors, worked with our insurance, and returned our beautiful home to pre-flood condition. I really didn't think it was possible. Thank you so much!!!

Absolutely the worst company to have in your house. I would never recommend this company to anybody you love or care about. Now my family and I are going through legal issues, because of a worker they had in my house. Not trustworthy, didn't let them finish the job went with another company. ServiceMaster helped fix a small - but long-term - window leak that we found in our house not long after we bought it. There was significant dry rot and mold. ServiceMaster was able to come in, fix it and get all the mold out quickly. Their project manager kept us informed and kept the disruption to a minimum. They are professional, organized and easy to work with. Not only that, but they managed to keep the dust and mess of a construction site completely contained! We were very happy with ServiceMaster and the work that they did.

Recently my apartment flooded. My manager hired service master to dry everything out. I had the best experience with everyone that had a part in fixing my home from Service Master. Especially a young man who goes by T (I think his name was Tavares) so sorry if I spelled it wrong. One of my mats did go missing but Mike helped me out with that and I ended up with a new mat that is perfect. I would definitely recommend this business to others. They also packed my whole downstairs for me and put it into a Uhaul.

I called Thursday morning, get told to leave Samantha a voicemail, no response. I call back on Friday. I get told by the receptionist Megan that she will hand deliver the message to Samantha and will have her call me back. Nothing. I call back at the end of day right now. I am told Samantha has left the weekend and to leave a voicemail. I tell Megan, I'l pass, and to let Samantha know to not bother calling me back. I will go with a different company that actually follows through with communication.

Follow up: About 7pm I get a call from their manager apologizing for the issues. I thank him for the call but inform him I will be going with a different contractor and thanked him for the call and ended it there.

About 9pm, I get a call from Samantha apologizing as well while I was thinking why do they keep calling me and why at 9pm. I inform Samantha that I would be using a different contractor whom I have coming over next week and she tells me that she is fine with me doing that. I couldn't help but think how nice I have 'her permission' to use a different contractor.

All I can say is be wary of this company. It seems like when they realize they screw up, they keep calling you like a case of herpes that won't go away.

For several years now I have used Service Master to clean the carpets in my home and also in rental units. Generally speaking, they have done an excellent job , at a very fair and reasonable price. I just last week had the carpets in my home cleaned. Maybe they were dirtier than usual, some spots didn't get as clean as usual. I was surprised at that. Perhaps I should have pointed out everything. For this reason, I cannot give a 5-star rating this time. However, I will give Service Master another chance another time.

Jacob of the restoration team is very good at his job! He took time to answer ALL of my questions (there were a ton!) He worked with my schedule to find times to stop by and check on the drying. This was a very stressful time for us, but his knowledge definitely gave me some relief. Highly recommend him.

Generally I would not post this poor of a review but my experience has been less than poor. Service master listened to me about my water leak and that I was not able to crawl under a house anymore.They were prompt to come inspect and give me an estimation for my work. I paid them 1/2 down from there bid and they soon started my project. The problem came when they increase my bid by close to 50% with out talking to me (which I did negotiate down). They also did not finish the work that was verbally agreed to in the beginning and they wanted approximately another 25% to complete the agreed to project...which I will have done now by some one else. On top of this they sent me a final bill $72.50 over my negotiated final amount. Then they also sent all of this to my renter instead of me.......how can I recommend Service master.

So disappointed. Requested our check from insurance company before the work was completed. Once they received the insurance check they stopped working. We did some of the painting, boxing of household goods....(which they said would be credited) and they did not refund any of our money. Complete crooks. We have gone to the office twice and have left several messages and calls not returned. We are now going to contact BBB, CCB board, Report this to our insurance company, and contact the news stations who do reports on untrustworthy companies.

Service master was quick to respond to come out and determine the amount of damage, placed drying machines, then the second team came, tore out the cabinets and sink and finished drying the area. i am confident that the restoration will meet my expectations. They are a great Master at Service.

I'm not sure I could imagine a better experience, or how I would've gotten this done without them. Service master cleaned up my house after my dishwasher sprung a leak. I found the staff very helpful and very attentive to our needs. We have a large family and they made the clean up and rebuild process as easy as possible. I would highly recommend them to do any work in your house!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Do not work with these people. Our house woes began back in November, a leaky sky light in our kitchen caused water damage and our insurance claim stated it was from storm damage and not from negligence. We thought we'd go with ServiceMasters since we see them all over Salem, but apparently they're far too busy to work with new customers. They came out and resealed our skylight like our insurance stated was the problem, but we found out they never actually fixed the problem, the next hard rain proved it. Instead of admitting their crew had messed up on the repair job, they decided that our insurance was incorrect. They failed to speak with our insurance and constantly neglected to contact us when they said they would during the rare occasions I could get a hold of anyone. Here we are, a day away from June and we still have a giant hole in our ceiling, with nothing to be shown except a giant blue tarp in our kitchen and on our roof. This business is a joke, and after multiple attempts to get them to come out and repair what they had started, they ultimately wanted to charge us for things that were never the problem to begin with. We're washing our hands of them, and would never recommend them to any one.

SUBCONTRACTORS BEWARE : I have been a painting contractor on the East Coast and here in the Pacific Northwest for almost 23 years and I can honestly say this is the worst contractor I have ever worked for. The office staff and project manager lacked professionalism and failed to communicate with me effectively. Several E mails and phone calls were not returned or responded to. At the end of the job when it was time to pay me for touch up I received an E mail that I was being back charged for work that I was not even notified needed to be done. Prior to leaving the job just recently I spoke extensively with the homeowner and he expressed complete satisfaction with the work that had been done. Top level management contacted me a couple of weeks via text message at 11:30 pm on a week day in regards to "image" control after I left a honest poor review on the contractor/subcontractor service I had experienced. Fortunetly, for me I don't need the work or headache of not being compensated for high quality painting in a timely manner. I wouldn't hire Service Master Clean of Salem to clean up after my pets. The entire project was 6 weeks behind schedule and just recently when I was on site still wasn't complete. Several door and window casings were installed damaged and we're repaired and repainted at my expense. I could go on but it's not necessary. Good luck if you do work for these folks.

She does a great job of being basically no pressure as she stops in once a month to visit my Insurance Agency. I have always been happy with her and the communication is well done. The people at Service Master were so AWESOME! My situation was unexpected and very difficult; cleaning up after someone that was not able to clean up after themselves. It was emotionally painful and the reassurance the staff offered was appreciated, with comments like "This is nothing for us!, don't worry we will get it done! Nothing to worry about we've seen worse!" They were confident and social, very professional. Service Masters is a great company! Samantha (Supervisor) made everything so easy for me to handle and was very nice!
