Great care. Awful communication. It often takes 7 days to speak with my child's doctor after I've called to talk to her. Occasionally I get some time with the doc within a day or two, but usually it's a solid week before it happens. Appointments for certain things are scheduled ridiculously far out - sometimes months in advance - and the facilities and services are broken up between Seattle and Bellevue. If I wanted a clinic in Bellevue I'd have gone to Bellevue. Not great design.

This is the worst hospital to take your child. They treat based on looks and refuse to administer any sort of test for your child. Awful staff who don't care about your child. Find any other hospital to take your child to if you want them to be treated. If you like wasting time and money, go here.

This place is AMAZING! All of the doctor were very nice & helpful. We had to stay for 3 days. Nice playroom for the kids. If they can't leave their room, you can bring borad games & other things back to their rooms. Whenever they had a group discussion, they would include me. Thank you Children's Hospital for everything.

Absolutely love this place. Their rehab team couldn't make me feel more at home during our two month stay. They take amazing care of their patients, but also patient families. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Our 6 year old hit her eye at school and it was swollen shut. Urgent care sent us straight to Children's. She received excellent care from the moment we walked in, and every step along the way was explained to both her and me. It was such a positive experience that she wants to go back to the hospital. Simple things such as giving her a snack as she was being discharged made her day, much less all positive interactions with every adult she saw. Thank you!

Not sure why all the hype about this hospital. Unprofessional and confused is only vibe I got. They double booked our appt and let us know 10 min before we arrived after a 2 hour drive. 3rd time I have been disappointed by this hospital. Took months for an appt on a time sensitive issue just to be turned away..... again. Shame on this place. Absolute shame.

Excellent hospital. I was pretty skeptical coming here at first, but the drives (4 hrs) and navigating into the parking area was not very hard. Easy access & totally worth the drive. The security staffs were excellent and very helpful with my questions and willing to help me navigate through this hospital. The administrations staffs were excellent and made scheduling very helpful. The doctors and staffs were very knowledgeable and helpful with my son. I love how whenever you enter this building, feels nice to be treated like a family instead of feeling out of place or not belonging to be here in the first place. This is the best hospital that I wouldn't take my son anywhere else. Very outstanding and professional care in this hospital and I highly recommend this place.

My daughter was treated by Dr. Michel Lin, i would not give them even zero stars because it was very poor service, my daughter get dehydrated and Dr. Lin was about to give my daughter the medicine of nausea without knowing whats going own, my whole family spend almost 6 hours in the hospital, probably they keep us for so long for extra charges, thats how they earn money. But no one come to our room to check on us, a nurse poked her head and tell us to keep feeding my daughter slowly, i did it then they never show up. We did not get any treatment at all. We just wait for 6 hours for doctor to come, i call front desk 3 times and they were keep making excuses, it seems like all the staff is performing in some play, going back and forth giving fake smiles only and eventually they give us a huge bill for doing nothing, just for feeding my baby 3oz of milk. We just walk away after waiting 6 hours without seeing the doctor. it was extremely disappointed and annoying, no one deserve to be treated like this. I did not recommend this place for any kids at all.

My daughter had minor Surgery here and they took excellent care of her. I'm so grateful for the anesthesiologist and surgeon taking the time to put me at ease, as I was a nervous wreck. Incredible Hospital.

Wonderful doctors! Nursing/medical assistants though are hit and miss. Many are not compassionate and seem inexperienced with special needs children. Empathy is often lacking with children who have medical anxiety.

Excellent providers, but hardly any nurses in the ER! Whats happening? COVID is destroying our medical system! It should never take 7 hours to clean a deep wound and get antibiotics to a patient. I am grateful for the care. But lord knows the Nurses and Drs need more help here!!!

They are a good hospital with good people, but wow have I wasted hours waiting for appointments that should take 30 mins, end up taking about 2 hours. If they were able to streamline their procedural things, it would go alot faster.

Seattle Childrens is woderful!. My son is 15 months old now. He was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea, craniosynostosis, and crouzon's syndrome at 6 months. At 9 months old he had his tonsils and adenoids removed to help his sleep apnea; We were at Seattle Childrens for 7 days and the nurses and all the doctors even the cleaning staff were wonderful. He has since had several appointments and two surgeries on his skull and both stays were as pleasant as they could be when your baby is having their skull operated on. We are so greatful for his team of doctors! (we can't thank you enough for everything you've done - Dr. Evans, Dr. Birgfeld, Dr. Perkins, Dr. Ojemann and anyone else I'm forgetting.) also all of the nurses. Oh and don't let me forget the Lab. I have to say that Hector is something special! My sone is a very hard stick and Hector has always done an amazing job. And thank you to the medical assistants and the schedulers they are the first and last ones we see every visit and they are always smiling and very kind. In conclusion we wouldn't want to be anywhere else, we are very thankful for Seattle Childrens Hospital.

The wait usually isn't too long, the longest iv ever waited is 15 min past time of appt. They always answer every question I may have and never give me that look of "wow what a stupid question". Iv been going there for my son for the past 4 years. Great staff. Only dislike is the no cell service but its understandable

Is there an option for zero stars?
I had scheduled an appointment for my son a month and a half ago. When we showed up at the hospital in Bellevue today, I was told that they rescheduled us for November 3rd because the provider we had scheduled with originally does not see cases with my son's diagnosis. So I asked why no one had called to tell me about this, and they said someone called two days ago and left a voice mail message. I checked my cell phone call record and there's no incoming calls from the hospital. There's no voice mail on my cell phone. So they said maybe they called my home phone. I checked the call log on my home phone, and no calls or voice mail from the hospital either. Obviously they dropped the ball and they have no excuse. And now we have to wait more than a month for the next available appointment. First of all, how did they even schedule me with the wrong provider to begin with? It's not as if I requested a certain provider, and I made the mistake. They scheduled me to see a certain provider and then supposedly called me two days prior to the appointment to notify me of the mistake and to reschedule. I had to take time off of work, and I had to take all three of my children out of school early so we could make that appointment. That is crap.

I rarely write reviews, but I had too. Seriously this place is the best, I ve been to every emergency room & ive never felt so comfortable in a scary place. The check in to nurses to doctors are absolutely wonderful and they all deserve 5 stars. I don t care if I have to drive all the way to Seattle if you want people that actually care about you & your little one I would come here.

This is not my experience per say, but it is someone I know and consider a friend. Her name is Torrie Amaratunge and she works there in the dental department. To hear about her being discriminated against from your staff, her very own manager and supervisor is absolutely sickening. This should NOT be tolerated at all! So, for you all to not discipline or do nothing at all to the people involved, is very sad and shows that you all do not care about your employees as an equal. My heart truly goes out to her. I hope and pray that you all see this and there is something done about the situation! No one should ever have to come to work and go through what my friend has experienced. Also if this is taken down I will continue to put it up until something is done!

Were from texas and this place is absoulutly rediculas the worst childrens hospital ever. I brought my child in becouse he couldnt breath well and they wouldnt even bump him up even though his oxygen was really low and he was wheezing so loud. This place needs to be sued for a childrens hospital it needs to move faster.

I am giving them 1 star because I cant give -negative 100.
We went there with my two year old at 1 am in emergency room. They made us wait 60 minutes. Finally I had to work my way up to get someone's attention. Someone shows up and promises to come in 15 minutes. Waiting another 20 mins. Finally doctor arrived, gave us 2 minutes. Didn't answer our queries and went away. This is the worst children's hospital. They dont even care about children. I would strongly recommend to avoid there er.

My daughter got in a car accident few months ago and she was seen at Overlake Hospital. They did what they can do to help my daughter but because she had dental trauma (loss tooth and 4 more bottom front teeth almost out), I called our dentist in Bellevue. On the voicemail, it says if it's an emergency, to go ahead and take my daughter to Children's hospital. We were so afraid that we were running out of time so we went ahead and not wait for my dentist to open and drove to Seattle for immediate help.
We get to Seattle Children's and they had us sign papers, took us in and told them what happened and the reason why we went there. I gave them the paperwork given to us by Overlake Hospital to review.
I told them I don't need anything else done, I just want a dentist to look at my daughter's barely hanging on teeth. They said they have a call out to the dentist, an hour later, no dentist yet. I was getting frustrated because they kept checking on us but the dentist was not showing up. I told them my frustration and they called the dentist again. Because we were waiting so long, I decided to call my daughter's regular dentist. They told us if we want to come back to Bellevue, they will make room for us.
Since we were already at Children's I waited a bit longer. We finally heard back and what they told us is, the dentist is not going to be coming but they want us to drive to his office when his office opens. Isn't this ridiculous? I went to the hospital to be seen right away but now they want us to wait then drive to their location?
I was so disappointed, I left and went to our regular dentist. The doctor that was there was so apologetic but bottom line is, what we needed was help. I felt the dentist didn't care that my daughter was already going through an ordeal and didn't even care. The next day, I called and had to leave a message. I got a voicemail back to call but it was so dry and no apology. I told myself they better not charge for that visit so I decided to deal with it when the time comes.
Now I find out this hospital is charging us for that visit, how ridiculous is that! I called them livid, the person I had on the other line put in the request to remove the charges and I got a letter this week saying these are legitimate charge. What nonsense! Children's Hospital, may I remind you I came in to have my daughter's teeth looked at by a dentist, this darn dentist didn't think it's serious enough? I have one tooth missing now, 4 more teeth just barely hanging, time is of the essence, what the hell! The dentist never came, that's why we were there, so how is that charge legitimate? I had to pay a lot of money for Overlake because they were the first responders, they did the work that's why they got paid. You, Children's Hospital never did what we need done so why are you collecting?

I would give zero star if they have option. We been going to childern hospital for last 7yrs ,we never had this kind of experience. We took our daughter to ER for uti on 09/23/2014.We being seen by Dr MEJIAS.Nurse took her urine for lab test and she told us it wiil take 15 to 30 mins.It took almost 02hrs after they got it during that time we asked twice to nurse at station she was very rude. After midnight DR came with prescription ,we asked him if we can have one doze there because most pharmacies were closed he replied you have to wait about an hour.He was not helpfuul at all and he said even if you give her a doze she not can a get better we told him we know it not can a get better with one doze but she is having very pain we just need some first aid,Attitude he has was not like a doctor. We will not like to go there if we find any other place.

After finding out my daughter needed an operation ...

After finding out my daughter needed an operation and we were referred to seattle childrens I heard great things about it and although we were scared to begin this process we felt like we were in the best hands possible.

It was VERY difficult to get into see a doctor and we were referred to several doctors before finally seeing the one who would be doing the operation. Each apt was an hr to 2 later than scheduled and one time we were even told we had been double booked and would need to reschedule.

Pre-surgery apt - we were rushed, Q's answered but doctor was not friendly, looked extremely tired and treated us like we were just another case on his long list he couldn t wait to get done with.

Surgery - quick operation. Talked to us after and told us she was in recovery and it would be 30 mins max before they beeped us. an hr later a nurse urgently rushes into the waiting room asking for us to come back to the recovery room....worried as heck we found out she just was very upset and ripping iv's out. Told us they had been asking for us to be paged for 30 mins.....miscommunication between their staff we were told.

Our stay - nurses, PT and ortho staff all couldn t tell us how to place her in the carseat that was ordered for us because she wouldnt fit into regular ones with her cast. Overall knowledge of my daughter spica cast (body cast) was minimal and I felt staff were not educated on it very well. My daughter is on a soy diet....which was discussed prior to surgery day...and still no soy milk or formula for her. I went to cafeteria myself and used our own formula to mix with it from home we luckily had. With one nurse we were ignored and at times I had to ask for things (including meds) 3 to 4 times before they would reach us way late and daughter in pain.

Overall I can say I am happy I researched ahead of time in the little time we had to once we found out she would need surgery. I would urge parents to be their childs voice and go with your instincts. Be very persistent and ask for things you need.

Surgen said he would need to see my daughter a week to 10 days after her surgery....called once we got out of the hospital and told it would be 2 weeks before an apt was open and that was a work in apt.

It has been two weeks now that i am trying to get someone to talk to me about my child regarding speech following ,i sent the info they were asking for but in return someone will get back to me but until now nothing,
The process of getting answer is really hard if you need assistance .
I think the providers look at things in the patients prospective and not delay .

Incredible inpatient care. My son was here for 5 months and everyone who worked there was knowledgeable and so helpful. I wouldn t take my son anywhere else. Outpatient however is a nightmare. You ll call and call and leave voicemails and nobody ever calls you back which is frustrating. You don t get called for follow up appts half the time and have to reach out to them time and time again before you re helped.

I've never left an online review before, but felt compelled to after my experience with Seattle Children's. After a disappointing newborn well check for my daughter prior to discharge at the hospital, I received a call from the billing department. After multiple mistakes on their end, they asked that I contact my insurance company and then contact them via email. I did so but didn't receive a reply for a month until I had to re-follow up with billing! It took me re-forwarding my original email for them to realize that it was sent.

An email to the family feedback address to express my concerns about lack of follow up has also not been replied to. Overall, a disappointing experience with all aspects of my interactions with Seattle Children's.

My daughter was there 40 years ago. She was born with gastro schesis and they saved her life. She was there for two months. Everyone there made us feel so welcome and safe. My daughter, Torie, is now Dr. Torie England. She is superintendent of schools at Penn Valley in CA. They told me she would be strong. They did a wonderful job of saving an amazing person who is passing it forward. Thank you!

Seattle children's is an amazing hospital with wonderful staff. Dr. Mosca is my child's doctor. Our first trip over there was when my child was diagnosed with clubbed feet and if it weren't for Dr. Mosca and his excellent expertise I don't think my son would be walking and playing today! Thank you for everything you have done!

Wish There was more stars to rate them. Best doctors ,nurses and staff EVER . they cared for my son as if it was there own. They make the parents feel welcomed and comfortable also. My son had difficulties breathing and was wheezing and they took great care of him and he sounds so much better. They really go above and beyond for these kids. Couldnt have gone to a better hospital.

The best doctors, the nurses are very kind and passive; affectionate with the children, although it is sad to see so many little ones in the hospital and so many families waiting to take them home safe and sound ... it was a sad exoerience but in the end everything went well and I returned with me Nina home and now two and a half years have passed and she is still healthy thanks to God and to all the doctors of the hospital .. thank you

Amazing hospital with amazing staff who care and do an excellent job. I originally had written a bad review because they would not let me see my brother when he was transferred here as I am his guardian and his parents would not answer the phone or show up to verify.
I should ve been angry with the parents and not the hospital as it s just policy, but my special situation with the condition of my brother made for a ton of stress in a critical time.
I ve been here for a week and my brother is doing much better, I am so grateful for all of the staff here.

Wonderful Experience!! My son was diagnosed with a spinal cord tumor in May. We were in the hospital for 7 days where we were treated by the most professional and kind staff that I have ever experienced. They were experts in their fields. My son's neurosurgeon even works with the Seahawks and has developed a smart football helmet to help reduce concussion damage.

This review concerns the psychiatric hospital. An 11 year old I am very close to was admitted acutely. I was a medical professional for 33 years, now retired for 2. Very familiar with HIPA regulations. Not with psych minors though. Spoke with the privacy team at Children's. No restrictions on contacting a provider to supply him with written documents. Requested provider to send me an e-mail address or text me. Never received a phone call back or a message. I snail mailed info to him. 3 weeks later still NO return phone call or message. VERY, VERY unprofessional and possibly unethical.
Very disappointed.

There have been 2 times that I've had to bring one of my kids into the ER and although it's a bit of a wait (as in most hospital ER's) to see the doctor and get tests or results; they've been very thorough. Outside the ER, their cardiologists are great, their nurses are amazing, their vascular anomalies team is super knowledgeable and patient with my questions, even their check-in staff are friendly. I am very thankful for Children's

This place is amazing! Every nurse puts our child their first priority. They treat you like family. I must say there is a few characters that need to work on their people skills. Food at cafeteria is expensive but they do have fridge so you can store food so bring food from home. I felt so comfortable my son being here i went back home 3 hours away back to work with no worries.
