Both myself when I was small and my son had excellent care at Children's. I am SHOCKED that you let Sarah Zarelli one of your doctors speak out publicly against GMO'S//Does Sarah Zarelli know and understand what GMO's ARE? Does she understand that Corn, Wheat, Barley, Soy Beans etc are considered in the trade as Roundup Ready, meaning these plants are sprayed by Roundup and other pesticides that are created by Monsanto to kill weeds and bugs., They remain in the plants and then are fed to the public. Small wonder the USA leads the world in Autism, ADD, Cancers, Learning Disablities and the kids to day have so many toxins and chemicals in their bodies.

This hospital has helped me so much and truly listens. I was told my pain was in my head and they actually took the time to take labs and find out that I actually have a joint problem. Thank you so much Seattle children's hospital. I would recommend this hospital for anyone who needs to be seen at a hospital like this one.

They went out of their way to make my son comfortable after not reacting well to the pain meds after his surgery. They were great at keeping me informed on what was going on and making sure I was included in all the major decision making. The parent bed was hard and uncomfortable but that was a very minor thing. :)

Amazing service here! They truly care about your child. They take their time and give them undivided attention. He even got juice, a snack, and a toy. Not to mention all the on demand movies that were available while in the ER room. Doesn't sound like much, but compared to other hospitals, this is definitely quality service.

We ve been here several times with our children. Our oldest daughter had an appendectomy here. Also, our youngest daughter was here for sixteen days after birth due to complications. The doctors and staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. The facilities are always clean and well kept. They have a pool and playground for families. I don t love being here, but I love the way it s run.

My son woke in the middle of the night with a bad ...

My son woke in the middle of the night with a bad asthma attack. I used the inhaler and spacer we had from his last asthma attack he had a year ago. He was still having retractions and a bit of stridor so we drove to the ER. I entered, looked around and then a nurse summoned us over to the desk. Security never once looked up. He assessed my son and found him to have a slight wheeze, took our name and has us sit. We were called to the triage room where the nurse also found him to have a slight expiratory wheeze as well as a very low fever. We then sat in the waiting area until someone called us back to a room. We sat back in the ER room without anyone giving us a call light, telling us how to work the TV/call light, who our nurse would be, or coming in to check on us. I walked out of the room to ask for a blanket and then where the bathroom was. Eventually the resident/student came in and apologized for the wait. She assessed my son. I explained his having had croup at change of seasons back in PA, one asthma attack here last fall resulting in an hour long neb and then this episode. She left and then we had the ER doc come in who basically didn't take a breath as she spoke to me about my son and barely listened to his chest. She left. Initially she wasn't going to give him anything. Not that I am one to dose my kid up but I didn't want his croup to cause any more issues such as the one that brought us in. At some point a tech did come in and do vital signs. We had one set taken during our 4 hour stay within the room. I honestly thought bare minimum was every 2 hours but if I recall correctly it's hourly. I don't recall her giving us her name, but saw her sauntering about with the other one I had asked and received the blanket from. Eventually our/the nurse finally came in and brought in a syringe with her telling us he was going to get a steroid. I asked if he could have something to drink in order to wash it down and then she said, "It's in cherry syrup." I said I know but when I worked as a nurse (5 years ago before quitting to be a SAHM with my last stint being in the ER for 7) and gave out meds of any kind I always asked a child if they wanted juice or water to wash the med down. She left, came back and gave him the med. No discharge instructions were given. I had to ask for a note as I wasn't sure if my son would need one for school to be excused for his absence. This ER needs a fast track and lacked some basic nursing care. Looks like they get stellar reviews although I noticed there is a seemingly automated response to reviews and they don't always coincide with the review. Not sure if this was a fluke or if this is routine and people don't know any better? A call light should be given to family/patient, usage reviewed, checks by techs/aides, if nurses are busy and a blanket offered/given by the person walking us back. These small measures go a long way. I can see why the hospital I worked in was so beloved. We did those things. I have to say we had much better care last year at the Swedish ER. Then they had the nerve to call wanting a automated review. Hopefully we don't need to but if we do, we will go to Swedish.

Service is overpriced! Waiting for few months to get the service (this is how the scheduling work), spent 15 min max. in the room with the doctor. And additional bill for so called 'Facility Charges' is absurd. For waiting so long, this service should be for free!!!

Edit: Google review does not allow to reply. So I'll post my response here:
To the Hospital/Owner:
Thanks for automated reply!
Neither of suggested contacts work! Please read email I sent a few days back.

My son injured his knee while playing in a baseball tournament. Seattle Children s Hospital was near the field and it had the best wait time. I was unaware that there was a $100 hospital fee until I received my bill (we have excellent insurance). If that fee had been transparent when we checked in I would have walked out and driven to another urgent care facility in the area. I called Seattle Children s hospital to dispute the charge. I had to leave 3 messages before someone returned my call. They refused to waive the fee. BEWARE!!! DO NOT go to this urgent care unless you want to pay an extra $100.

absolutely ridiculous, we had to wait 45 minutes to get in, 4 hours in total for a small x-ray, my daughter had her elbow twisted and the doctor dint know how to perform basic pain reduction technique, there are a plenty of videos online. I would blame the system that makes the doctors and the support staff mere puppets, shame!

They have made me feel so welcome through this whole experience. If you have to go through something medically terrible with your kids at Seattle Children's you won't have to feel alone. Excellent staff (even if the front desk guy is a Niners fan). Very friendly, helpful and caring.

Absolutely love this hospital. They really take atheists time to talk to my 10 year old and explain things to him instead of just talking over him to me. Which I appreciate. It's hard as a parent to watch your children frightened of medical procedures that they are required to have for their health and well being. The child life specialists are always available to help assuage fears and make children feel comfortable and in control of their health and environment.

The staff is totally unprofessional. Specifically, I would not trust leaving my daughter with Amanda Mogg. She is rude, abusive, and ill-prepared for being a nurse. I'm not surprised at all that Seattle Childrens still employ her...even after we filed a complaint.

Obviously, I hope you never have a need to go here. But, things happen. And if you need your child to be seen by the best, then come here. The doctors and nurses have passion and truly want to help. The staff stopped at nothing to get my daughter the care she needed, even though that meant the doctors and nurses had to learn about her condition and network with doctors and specialists around the world to find answers. Highly recommend!

I do not recommend this hospital for potential employees or people with dark skin. Behind the scenes , racial stuff is occurring and management and HR has done nothing to address those concerns . This hospital is very racist against their employees .

Incorrect information is shared about the cost and then when I called to customer care, the lady was a little bit aggressive and don't want to listen at all. I was been charged pretty high for xrays. When we went for a problem, doctor said, it an optional to go for xray as they diagnosed the issue. I asked what could be the potential cost for the xray, they told it would not be more than 100. So I said ok, go ahead, and when I received the bill, it was more than 4 times of that. I am fine if a hospital charge more if they told the same in first place. But incorrect information is bad, and I am not sure, I will go there again.

My 7 year old niece was diagnosed with a stage 4 brain tumor back in January. She got it removed by a doctor at a different hospital and then went to Children's Hospital every week for 7 weeks. When I was younger I went there and it was a great place and I LOVE going back and seeing that they are just getting better and better as the days and years pass. THANK YOU SEATTLE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL!

Because of this place, and these people, my son is one huge step closer to being cancer free. Without Dr. Park and Dr. Pinto and Dr. Waldhausen and the host of nurses and CNA's and staff, we'd be lost. I was skeptical of this entire industry before coming here. Never imagined I'd have to come here (as I type this from the oncology ward).

Our toddler broke her arm and we were transported here from a smaller community After midnight 3/13 advised Childrens would be the best people to surgically repair her break. Every single person we encountered was amazing. They're kind, professional, prompt, and 100000% there to make the children they see as comfortable as possible while treating them like a normal little human being. They explained things to my child every step of the way and we're gracious and accommodating every time I had panic attacks or emotional breakdowns due to stress and lack of sleep. Hands down the best hospital experience I have encountered after years of ER visits and surgeries I went through as a child and young adult.

The stuff was nice. Brought my 2 year old snacks but the waiting was killing me. I drove 2 hours to get there,Had to wait another 2 hours and I was told I couldn't leave the room because the doc might show up. I needed to use the bathroom but i decided to stick in the room so I wouldn't miss the doc, who knows how much longer it would take to see her if I missed her?!!! Then doc showed up about at most 5 minutes .decided we need a ultrasound.then another 30 minutes waiting .finally our turn to do the ultra. Took a few minutes. Then more waiting.another 30 minutes. Finally nurse came in with prescription told us free to go.
So it took us 3 hours to get a ultrasound. Very slow processing place. If you have to go there,be prepared for the long waiting.

Worst we have ever seen. Very unreliable staff. We needed an emergency appointment and pediatrician sent them referrals tons of times and specified the necessity for my kid to be seen urgently, and they denied us for 3 weeks to schedule an appointment. All response we got is that we do not meet their criteria. They even refused to say what is the criteria. It's so sad that they are the only option in Seattle and my family is lost now where we can go next.

My son was diagnosed with Leukemia back in June 2016. I wouldn't trust anywhere else besides Seattle Children's to care for my son. The nurses, doctors, and entire staff have been amazing and so caring. All surgeries, hospital stays, ER visits have been exceptional. Everytime we come in for a visit everyone treats us like family. My rating for them is beyond five stars.

Terrible! After waiting a year we get there the check in person is so short and rude then the Opthomologist is in and out lf the room like 8 times so impersonal she spent a total of like 9 minutes tops then tells me her nurse will be in. My grand daughter got a new pair of glasses and can't even see with them. Frustrated doesn't even cover it!

ER wait time was 2 hours. Not much help in diagnosing chronic conditions if you can't get timely tests.

Specialists seem to pass patients around with no one taking ownership of the overall diagnosis and treatment.

Long wait times (4-6 months)to get in to even see specialists.

Good care with great customer service, staff are friendly and helpful. Emergency room is quite a walk when you are carrying a baby seat and your 2 year old child at the same time.

Just don't look forward to your bill. they will steal money from you whether you like it or not. the lowest bill they sent me was $800 for a 5 min ER visit.

Children s is a mixed bag. Great care in Bellevue ...

Children s is a mixed bag. Great care in Bellevue and for most medical stuff in Seattle. Psychiatric and behavioral care is very weak and disappointing, especially compared to care elsewhere at Children s and in other high quality hospitals out of the area. Our family has had two terrible inpatient experiences here in about 90 days. The staff is inexperienced and low paid, with lots of self disclosed turnover and unhappiness. They seem poorly equipped to do difficult but important jobs. Admins blow smoke and excuses and meaningless apologies and promises to do better at parents who stick around to see what is happening and attend meetings if staff shows up as promised. They do not communicate with each other or parents or document key things so it is hard to see how psychiatrists and therapists have any info needed to make decisions. A lot falls through the cracks. They throw drugs at the kid and throw her out without any real aftercare lined up. Expect no help even that which was promised in writing after didcharge. And, no, Children s has no available outpatient slots by and large. Children s needs to beef up this area to stay top notch especially given lack of quality alternatives
Highly recommend for other areas
ER is very hit or miss. Seems more dependent on who is working than demand
