I heard many horror stories about Sandals prior to booking our honeymoon. Sorry, I can t relate at all. My experience was absolutely amazing and I can t wait to go back. We stayed at the Grande and the was the best decision we made since the other two At. Lucian locations looked a little boring. Food was delicious and staff and great.

Sandals staff was fantastic as always. I've never seen the level of service provided by Sandals staff without having a sour apple or eye roll to deal with like you get in the USA. Always asked if we had food allergies (I do) so I found that to be a great service, the chef would always make a custom meal for me. This was our 2nd sandals and it was great again. I like Antigua's resort better but St. Lucia has a lot more to do off the resort with the rain forests, volcano and mountains. Highly recommend sandals, we are trying a different company next year and we are not expecting the same level of service. I think it is worth the money to get an ocean view and Club level room (room service, booze in your room fridge, bigger rooms) if you can afford it. And yes it does rain in St. Lucia, they had a drought last year, it rained 3 days when we were there for up to an hour one time. Normally it just lasted 15 minutes.

i know people are concerned with traveling but we had a absolute great time at the Grande St Lucia and plan to return to this resort. The staff was friendly, the grounds nice and clean. The food was excellent at all of the restaurants that we dined at absolutely wonderful. We are so happen that we made it and did not cancel our trip!!! So do it!

We have been left quite shocked with the lack of communication we have had with Sandals. On our final day we were given a courtesy room so we could spend our final moments at the beach. To our dismay we found that we were given a room that was not cleaned and absolutely filthy. Dirty towels were found on the floor of the bathroom and the bed was not made. We rang reception immediately they stated that they could get somebody to clean it but nobody arrived. After stating that our transport will be arriving fairly soon I ended up going to the nearest chambermaid and asking for towels. Nobody could find shower gel for us. We complained to the manager about the state of the dirty room and they said they would contact us back but we haven t received an email. We have even called and left a message and they still haven t responded back.

There are some other points which I found quite unpleasant:

-Quite frequently food was left for days outside the room causing many insects to enter the building. I even saw a cockroach looking for food!

-The spa treatments and duty free shop were incredibly expensive-3x normal cost

-Many mosquitos in the room even if windows were always shout

-Only few Shuttle buses between the hotels in the morning + a lot of traffic. A shuttle boat would actually be much better

-We have not been nor with sleepers neither with bath robe - is it a 5star resort?

-No Atm in the resort. You have to go to Gros islet to get some cash
-quite Insisting in using their tour operator and you can t carry the hotel towels with external tour operators

-They are quite greedy with shower gel/shampoo (I had to request several times before getting one - I had to use mine fir 2 days)

-No mangos provided during mango season...very disappointing

-Water doesn t taste great
-They don t provide enough advertisement of sport activities that at the end are not performed for lack of people

-the ocean view rooms should be called car Parking view

-they have not provided a final Survey questionnaire

On the positive side:
-amazing restaurants
-very nice people working for the resort (water sports, waiters)
-resort facilities (swimming pools, water sports, gym)

My experience was amazing at the Grande Saint Lucian thanks to the wonderful managers at the hotel. The wonderful Mr. Filious who went out of his way to arrange for our lovely accommodations. The lovely Amenda Augustin who arranged with Mr. Anderson to send my phone charger to my home that I left in my room.
The entire staff at the hotel was exceptional, extremely courteous and went far above any service that I have ever had at any hotel. I will definitely return to this resort. I also recommended it to my friends

Typical Sandals resort. However the beach here is amazing. I would choose the Grande over the other 2 Sandals just for the beach. As nice as it was, it was only at 30% capacity when we went. Im afraid a full resort may seem overcrowded.

The food, service and resort was outstanding. However, the wedding planning department is in need of much better communication and more qualified staff. I would recommend booking directly and not going thru a travel agent (Griffin World Wide Travel) as you would get a better price going thru the resort. It was a beautiful location and a lot of fun!

This is a 3-star, very average resort. My wife and I travel extensively. For people that don t travel, or haven t experience real quality facilities and service, this may seem nice. But it s average. It s Sheraton quality - far from Ritz, Four Seasons, etc. by any dimension.

I had never been to a Sandals so wanted to check it out. I will not be returning. The rooms are outdated and with thin walls quite loud. The staff are calling it in and there are few authentic experiences. Up-sells are everywhere as well as the photographers - especially in the evening you can t walk more than 20 yards with someone trying to persuade you to stop for a photo. The food was decent but not great. The sushi spot was the best.

We found little use for our Club level booking beyond being able to skip lines at check in and check out. The fully stocked in room bar and room service was not appealing - we didn t come to an island in December to drink and eat in a outdated hotel room.

The highlight was the location. The grounds, views, and landscapes are gorgeous, and even in December the weather was hot and just what we were looking for.

Sandals marketing is everywhere and now I understand why. They clearly don t have a product that can sell itself.

This place is a dream. Every single person who works there serves you so well and make you feel like the most welcomed and special guest! They are prompt with any request. You can ask anyone to get you something or help with something and even if that isn t their job position they will do it for you without hesitation. They are also SO fun and make every excursion a better experience with their humor and energy. Entertainment each night was always worth staying up for. My husband and I absolutely LOVED everything about this place. Thank you to everyone at Sandals Grande!

You must go! The staff is so friendly and the resort is beautiful. The rooms are a tiny bit "dirty", but that is to be expected as you are at the beach. It'd be insanely difficult to keep things absolutely pristine with all of the sand. I'd definitely recommend making sure you book a room that includes Club Sandals. They help setup any reservations for restaurants or adventures you want to go on. They also offer some free activities which are normally paid activities if you are not Club Sandals. The food is delicious (we especially loved the Indian restaurant). The drive from the airport to hotel is a bit long, but it gets you to the nice and quiet side of the island (definitely worth it).

Restful stay! We checked it out in 2017 when stayi...

Restful stay! We checked it out in 2017 when staying at nearby Sandals Halcyon, and it is our favourite of the 3 St Lucia Sandals resorts (apparently a 4th Sandals is coming soon to the area). GSL has the nicest beach of the 3, a good mix of restaurants (ate everywhere except Kimono's), and calm enough water for swimming each day. All staff were great, but I want to give a shout out to four staff in particular: Stacey at the culinary desk for pre-planning meals around my allergies, Craig for mixing drinks at the beach bar (ask for a Hummingbird), Ivana for being the friendliest manager at 3 of the restaurants we ate at, and Joyceline at Red Lane spa. We didn't need to leave the resort to go to the other 2 resorts this time (even though Halcyon has the quietest pool and La Toc has the nicest view). I had regular Americanos, ice cream (try the coconut) and chocolate chip cookies at Josephine's.

Some advice:
1) Wake up by 9 am to pick your spot along the beach. There are spots inside and outside of the property line along the very long beach, and we always got one on the inside.
2) Rain is occasional and lasts for 15 minutes or so, so have your go bag ready to find cover at the bar or get some lunch. Bring sandals with really grippy soles. St Lucia needs rain.
3) Make all of your reservations as soon as possible after you arrive. Get Bombay for early in your visit and Gordon's for your last night. Beach BBQ night is Monday.
4) Save 2 dinners for Kelly's (Halcyon) and Pitons (La Toc). Get reservations at the GSL culinary desk.
5) Save room for dessert after supper. If you are like me, dessert was sitdown sushi at Soy or takeaway chips from the Pub.
6) Do one last swim on departure day and bring a sealable dry bag to keep your wet trunks separate from everything else in your suitcase.

Our 2rd trip to St Lucia and we will be back!

Everything was excellent except for the long trip from the airport. We took the helicopter back. The room cleanup was always late afternoon and not real good. Coffee missing. Turn down service was after we went to bed so never had it.

This is our latest (of many) Sandals, and we are very impressed with the people and property. The staff at Sandals Grande St. Lucian are warm and fun! The property is beautiful. The weather this week is unbelievable. The water is clear to crystal clear. The beaches are well kept, light brown powder with sand bay bed, no rocks. Our stay has been fabulous.

Sandals Grande St. Lucian was a great honeymoon destination. Me and my wife had a wonderful time enjoying the beauty and culture of St. Lucia. The service was top notch all across the board. Our favorite host was named Kelvin. He served us dinner on the beach during our candle light dinner and was a fantastic host. His sort of hospitality is what makes places like Sandals such a great place to go. We will definitely be going back to Grande St Lucian as well as the many other Sandals destinations.

Sandals Grande are the best all inclusive resorts in the Caribbean. This was the 3rd resort we've been to and Grande is def better. We stayed at Regency La Toc and whole our stay was amazing, Grande resorts have better amenities, staffing, and overall experience.

First of all, this trip is an absolute must!! Honestly heaven for couples, the food, drinks, staff, the resort it was all more than what we expected. There were only a few things that weren't great. We didnt realize it is a two hour bus ride to and from the airport, you have to be up really early to save yourself beach or pool seats and the beach salesmen are a little too much! But other than that this was truly paradise

During this crazy time and after having to change ...

During this crazy time and after having to change our honeymoon location & dates multiple times, we are beyond thrilled that we landed at Sandals Grande St. Lucia. The entire trip was fabulous, from the food and drinks, to the lively atmosphere, to the amazing staff. The variety of restaurants is great - try as many as you can. Kimonos and Gordon s were our favorites. But the other restaurants were right up there! The entire resort is a dream come true - with drinks being served left and right, fun music always playing, activities to partake in, and a beautiful beach. We met other honeymooners on our trip which made our time even more incredible. There is always something different to do at night if you enjoy nightlife! The rooms were always clean and the views are breathtaking. Because of COVID, they were only offering water excursions, so we did the Piton Sunset Cruise. Highly recommend as we re we re able to see the Pitons up close and snorkel at the base of them! One of our favorite parts of our honeymoon was the staff. They are all SO friendly and accommodating and ALWAYS have smiles on their faces. We also enjoyed their dance moves to the island music! This was our first Sandals experience and we are already thinking about another one! Thank you Sandals Grande for an amazing honeymoon that we will never forget!

Resort was beautiful and staff was amazing. We understand that Sandals and the staff was doing all they can to maintain safety from Covid but sandals fell very short to inform anyone that all is excursions off resort were unavailable and that no one was allowed to leave. Their website still allows off resort bookings yet they are unavailable. Highly deceptive. The resort was about 30% capacity and struggled with maintaining alcohol. Wines were unavailable along with other items.

The rooms were not what I was told I would have, the hotel was mediocre and a bit aged, but other than that, the customer service was amazing. I was pleasantly surprised that you are not allowed to tip. When I did, the staff turned me down....who does that? Finally the drinks are unlimited. Too shelf too

We ve just got back from our wonderful weddingmoon...

We ve just got back from our wonderful weddingmoon at the Sandals Grande St. Lucian and to say it was beyond our expectations is an understatement! From the moment we arrived on the resort we were greeted with a glass of champagne which was lovely, especially after such a long journey. Our luggage was taken off our hands to be delivered to our rooms once we d checked in so all in all we couldn t of asked for a better welcome. Our room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the sea and on arrival the room was nicely decorated to welcome us for our wedding there. We couldn t of asked for a better on-site wedding planner as Monica made sure everything was as we wanted for our wedding day. She made sure the ceremony and the reception went better than we anticipated and for that we ll always be grateful as Monica ensured our wedding day truly was the best day of our lives. The guys working at our wedding reception were exceptional. Gasius, Tad & Jevon were attentive, fun, precise and most certainly went beyond the means of their jobs. Our wedding photographer, Gemma also couldn t of done a better job. He made us feel totally at ease with his quick wit and professionalism, not to mention the photos he took were incredible! We can t remember our wedding videographer s name but he definitely deserves a mention as our wedding video brings tears to our eyes every time we watch it and the same goes for all our family and friends who ve watched it. For our wedding my wife had her hair/make up done at the Red Lane Spa and she was over the moon with the job they done. Aside from our wedding day we also feel a number of other people deserve a special mention for making us feel important and helping any way they could during our stay. Eggon, who works on reception was a delight to talk to and he always made sure he helped us as efficiently as possible if we had any queries. As with any wedding there were a few stressful moments and things we needed help with and the general manager, Philius did everything he could to put our minds at ease. The food on the resort was exquisite and the staff were always attentive and polite. We went to Gordon s twice and both times Quristal and Benjamin were brilliant. And to top everything off the entertainment team always made sure something was going on to keep a smile on your face. Our favourite shows in the night were- Newly Wed not so Newly Wed (which we won) was hilarious, the St. Lucian rum we won will go down lovely. The resort staff talent night was immense! Reggae night was a very good night and the beach BBQ night was incredible! This was our first time at a Sandals resort and we ll be returning to the Grande St. Lucian to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary because it was genuine paradise for us!

Visited St. Lucia Nov. 9th-16th and stayed at the Grande Sandals resort.

Weather was amazing had only one rainy day but everyone still managed to enjoy it till the rain cleared at 3:00 pm.

Beach is warm and calm with a very gentle vibe to nurture the soul, take advantage of the jet ski's, your foolish if don't, Look for Macgyver. Captain for a day is a great trip to tour half of the island. Visiting Marigot Bay and many other interesting locations including a volcano and mud bath.

Massages are a must top notch, so are the photos.

Food is 5 star we ordered multiple appetizers and main dishes per meal and had themed served with no questions asked and with NO TIPPING. When my wife wasn't feeling well, they cooked her a custom soup and brought coconut water for her. Room service, speedy!

Staff - The staff are warm, grateful and enthusiastically willing to help. They went above and beyond me and wife's expectations from the beginning of our honeymoon till the end. I give credit to the whole staff including maintenance who kindly asked if the people around him minded if he completed his work. Thank all of you. Special thanks to Ivana, Winston, Rohan, Lisa.

Entertainment was fun they were talented and very inclusive with the audience. There is disco every night in the pub at the front lobby.

Room service was perfect as to be expected.

Way over priced. Food is mediocre. It has a spring break party atmosphere. Not a place to getaway to relax. Beach is not private so you are constantly getting harassed by locals trying to sell you something. Would be 1 star if it wasn't for how beautiful the island is.

Great and beautiful Island. Be sure when you go to take a buggy excursion to the Volcano, mud baths, zip lines, and waterfalls. Sandals Grande had an amazing staff especially the management, everyday food was okay but nothing special. However certain restaurants on the resort that required a reservation like Gordon's was truly amazing! The resort needs to be updated a little. Otherwise a great place to stay.

I just got back from Sandals grande st lucian a few days ago and I HAVE to write a review because I never met nicer people or seen a better resort than this one! I started off with 4 days at grande and did 3 days at La Toc. Let me start off by saying that the food and the beach is better at grande. I stayed at a swim up room at grande and at the millionaire suite at la toc. I was there for my wedding which was supposed to be on november 30th. But due to complications on our part, we had to push it to December 4th. The day we arrived was a disaster which was totally not their fault. 100% ours (arguments, lost of documents, our guests requesting our shuttle to stop at every attraction/bar). I arrived to the resort late and stressed. The lovely beautiful tall lady(forgot her name) and Monica (wedding department) and Claire were my 3 saving Angels!! They handled it with class and assisted me as if I was family! I had THE MOST beautiful wedding!! I chose the over the water gazebo 5 pm twilight wedding and I'm so glad I did!! My pictures are unbelievable!! The lady at red lane spa turned my frizzy extensions hair into the hair of a goddess. Every single staff at the grand is heaven sent! I won't hesitate to go back! Food is delicious! Beach is so beautiful with lots of props such as swings and chairs in the water, floaties and trampoline. Theres so much to do that I wish I stayed 14 days instead of 7. I will never forget st lucia and how amazing those people are. Thank you soooo much to sandals grande st Lucia's staff!!! You are the best
