The nicest of the Sandals resorts, but there's always that bunker mentality that comes from all-inclusive, such that you could be anywhere. The anodyne nature of Sandals makes it warm and comfortable if this is your first time further than Florida, but St Lucia deserves the more adventurous type of tourist. If you have to stay here, at least take the daily tours to spots around this beautiful volcanic island, or just walk up the road to Pigeon Island and find out how Admiral Rodney launched his most famous battle from there

I know these places have a cheesy reputation but I have been converted. It is the most relaxing vacation I have ever taken. The food is fair to good, the drinks are a bit weak but hey it is all free.the service it excellent. They really try hard to make the stay great. This location has an amazing beach.

An absolute superb resort. No traffic noise like you hear all day and night at the Halcyon Beach resort. Plenty of long beachfront where you aren't constantly bombarded by locals trying to sell you coconut figurines. Perfect pools from the party pool to the quiet secluded. Excellent restaurants and of all 3 resorts in St Lucia the most attentive and polite staff.

We stayed here in October 2019 for our honeymoon. Everyone of the staff members was warm, friendly and inviting. The resort was beautiful. There was lots to do. We never really left the resort. The food was phenomenal. The rooms were spacious, clean and had amazing views. The spa was wonderful. They really take pride in making sure everyone has a wonderful stay. Highly recommend.

Zanius - He is a gem. I hope you all think so too. He made our trip especially wonderful with his humor, service, and enthusiasm. He was efficient and did go out of his way to serve us. In particular, he expeditiously procured a Reisling wine for my husband (his favorite) which was very good. As we had our in-room candlelight dinner celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary he made it special by making a little speech as if there was an audience. His crazy humor was so appreciated while his mild-mannered professionalism was A+. Any guest would be lucky to have Zanius as their Butler.

Best time of my life. But that's a lot to do with me. But food is amazing the staff is above & beyond friendly. Only shity thing is ppl with butler service should have their own section on the beach. I was waking up at 6am & was having a tough time trying to find a good spot on the beach cause everything was taken the night before. That's not cool. Besides that resort is amazing & well kept. I have to also add that if it wasnt for ppl like zaykia the night room cleaning girl & Michael the life guard on the beach with all the wisdom he shared with me. Also rackim the photo taker, Donna was also a sweetheart she took care of my wife on the last day when we were leaving. Antonius our server at the French restraund was such a pleasure & last but not least the sweetest woman ever Ivanka I will go on record & say sandals wouldn't be what it is with out them. They are the stars of sandles grand. Pls get all of them together they know exactly who I am. & give them a big Thank you from Diesel & Nathalie from Canada. Thank you

My wife and I went here for our Honeymoon and absolutely loved it. St. Lucia itself is gorgeous and this resort was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and always helpful if you needed anything. Special welcome was left for us on our pillows when we arrived thanking us for our visit and congratulating us on our Honeymoon.

The room itself was clean and really nice, the bed was very comfortable as well. We had an ocean side view and it was spectacular.

There are multiple pools, a huge main pool that is always crowded and has a swim up bar, but there are plenty of other pools as well if you want something a little quieter.

Being all inclusive the food was surprisingly good, and the drinks didn't seem too watered down either, so I was pleasantly surprised there.

The ocean front itself was very well kept, with plenty of chairs and umbrellas etc, never had to fight for one at any point.

There were also a LOT of activities offered. Anything from snorkeling to scuba diving and jet skis, tours etc. Anything you wanted was available, and easy to book.

All of the onsite bars were good as well, and there were multiple so none seemed overcrowded.

Basically, I can't recommend this resort enough. If you are headed to St. Lucia, then you can't miss with this resort! Well done Sandals!

This place is amazing, great food, great service, people are very nice and polite, the ladies a bit serious at the beginning but once you talk to them they are super nice. Be careful with the open bar it can be dangerous. All and all great place to take a break from regular life.

This is one of the most beautiful resorts - my husband and I had an amazing time! The staff, food, beverages, service and amenities were all exceptional. We were in awe from the moment we arrived to the moment we left... Special shout out to Nyah, whose acts of kindness melted my heart and impressed my husband and I beyond belief.

I have read some of the 1 star complaints. I feel these are spoiled individuals who if they won money they would complain about paying taxes. I had two move my reservations twice because of covid-19. They worked with me all the way. I wanted to do island party, but could not.
I enjoyed the things that I could do. The staff was exemplary. I will book again and can't say enough good things. Writing this review with another day here to enjoy. Don't let the haters change your mind.

This was our first trip to a Sandals resort, and I...

This was our first trip to a Sandals resort, and I must say it was amazing. The customer service was phenomenal. Every employee spoke without hesitation if you were near them Everyone was happy all the time and eager to make sure your every need was met.

Our room was just down the hall from the lobby and Pavilion Theater. There was (fairly loud) entertainment most every night. We never heard any of it while in the room, only some while on the balcony.

If this is your first visit to Sandals, make sure to take the tour of the property when it is offered when you arrive. We didn't and discovered all types of things while just walking the property before we left. This is on us, not the staff. There's so much nestled away, so it really feels that you are removed from city life.

Make sure to visit Remy at the beach bar and ask for a "Green Mango." NOTE: he is the only one who knows how to make it. He was great!

One more recommendation is to visit Kimberlee in the Sandals travel office and rebook (a visit to any Sandals resort) before you leave!

The ONLY thing that we didn't like about this trip was the drive to the resort from the airport. The bus ride is about 2 hours on very curvey mountainous roads. If you tend to get carsick, make sure to take some Dramamine or Bonine.

We have vacationed at Sandals resorts in the Bahamas, and several in Jamaica, but the staff here was the friendliest by far! Dunstan, Kelvin, Peter and Keishima took great care of us at dinner, at the bar and to book our next trip! The views here are incredible with lush greenery and flowers and we loved the views of the mountains from the beach. We would come back here again in a heartbeat-just have a few more Sandals destinations to check out first!

Wow. The facilities were very nice, and the food was very good. The views were beautiful. This, I expected for as much as this cost.

Meeting expectations however, does not a 5 star review make.

Where my expectations were not only exceeded, but blown out of the water, were the people. The staff at the Grande St. Lucian are in a class of their own. From Remy and Dwayne at the Beach Bar (with thanks to Carol, Irenus, and Matthew there as well), to Dexter, who got us involved with several events, and Edwina, Neville, and Natalie, who kept us dancing as part of the Entertainment staff, it truly seemed like it was the goal of everyone working to make sure were were having a good time.
We couldn't pass by ANY of the staff members, from Housekeeping, to Groundskeeping, to Management, without being greeted with at least a smile. Most asked if we were enjoying our stay, and if there was anything they could do for us. I felt like a King, and have been disappointed here at home that no one seems NEARLY as interesting in making sure I'm enjoying myself!

The biggest downside I could add would be the drive from the airport to the resort. At about 90 minutes, it's long, and can be a bit twisty if you get carsick. I think next time, (oh yes, there WILL be a next time) we'll get the private car to and from the resort. Or maybe the helicopter. This downside does come with one important caveat. Since it's on the other end of the island, we had little to no traffic by the resort. Most of the cars seemed to be from staff, and only on Sunday night was their any real noticeable road noise.

Overall, thank you, Sandals for treating us like royalty. We look forward to visiting the friends we left there soon!

A good runner for paradise on earth. My wife and I spent our honeymoon here and opted for a Rondoval with butler service and we're really glad we did. The butlers were excellent and we enjoyed all 3 of ours who were all friendly and down to earth. It was really nice to be spoiled for a week with every need being taken care of. The room was fantastic, it was well kept, quiet with plenty of privacy (as much as can be expected). It was nice to get little surprises in our room each day with us being completely blown away with the flower pedals and bath made up. The food from the different restaurants was excellent and we were pleasantly surprised how good it was. Everything about the place was amazing and we're planning on going back to a Sandal's location in a few years, that how much we were impressed.

Was there in February, The bad first; The reservation service of Sandals is off Island and is no help what so ever. The person taking your reservation has never been there and has no idea the difference between ocean view and beach view so be ware. Don't try to call the resort direct, it is impossible to find the number and if you do get through to the front desk as I did, they are irritated with your need for information. The rooms are mid grade at best. Worn out mattresses and out dated furnishings. They brag about their seven restaurants but fail to tell you that four of them only serve dinner and three of those will need reservations. By the way, you will not be able to get into Gordons on the bay, the reservations are two weeks out. The sushi place is great but only open for dinner. Your choices are slim for lunch and even less for breakfast. You cannot have alcohol in your room unless your want to buy a bottle of wine. The cheapest is $49.00 which they were conveniently out of and the next one up was $99.00 a bottle. So be ware of " all inclusive ". We chose to take a helicopter back to the airport and bypass the brutal taxi ride. We were told that for an extra twenty dollars each, we could get an extended site seeing tour. So we booked it and found out that we still had a brutal ride to a closer airport and were then asked for an additional $50.00 per person which we paid as we felt we had no choice at that point. The good; once there the staff is incredible save the front desk who are not nice or helpful. I cannot say enough good things about the rest of the staff. They are great people, very friendly and make you feel at home. Not sure if I would go back but at least I know what to expect from "All Inclusive"

We go to a Sandals every year and The Grande St. Lucian is by far my favorite one! You must get a private cabana one day! You must go scuba diving! Pamella Matthew was my dive instructor for my AOW (advanced open water) certification and I had the best time! Top notch service and Marcus grilled lion fish that we caught which was delicious! Make this a priority trip on your bucket list, you won t regret it! The resort & grounds are breathtakingly beautiful!

My husband and I spent 10 days here for our honeymoon/1 year anniversary (we opted for a mini moon after our wedding last year, delaying an actual honeymoon). The resort is beautiful-the view from the lobby is incredible! The staff at this resort is phenomenal-very friendly, courteous, professional and accommodating. If you aren t up for adventure perhaps explore other destinations. A lot of reviews are complaining about the drive to the resort but in my opinion that s part of the experience! Definitely book some excursions and make reservations as soon as you can when you arrive, it ll help you plan your days better. We opted for the dune buggy excursion to the volcano, waterfall and lunch and loved every minute of it. Our tour guide Greg went above and beyond insisting to take pictures for us on our phones and even directing us to pose certain ways. We loved having the opportunity to drive on the roads in the dune buggy s through the rainforests, mountains, local villages, etc. Yes the roads are crazy but we thoroughly enjoyed it! It was an adventure we will cherish for years to come. Horseback riding was fun as well, though the photos shown at the resort are a bit misleading as we rode up to an area full of seaweed that s been floating in from Africa (apparently a more recent issue the island is facing) to take photos. The tour guides for that were awesome as well. We also did the Saturday evening catamaran (more laid back and less spring-breakish), couples massage, candlelit dinner on the beach (food was phenomenal!) and took advantage of the water sports that were available for free. We explored Pigeon Island and climbed the peaks-super interesting history and a great activity for earlier in the day before it gets too hot. Be aware that there are no private beaches on the island and there are lots of solicitors walking the beach. Overall they were all friendly and many offered similar excursions that weren t through the resort so may be able to save you a couple bucks, but we were hesitant (are they insured? Etc) so opted to stick with the resort for excursions. Definitely check out the art stands that are set up a few times a week-their prices are much lower (and many will negotiate) than the gift shop and many are willing to personalize their art for you. We upgraded to a butler suite for our last two nights and, although the butlers were great, we felt it wasn t really worth the (lots of!) extra cash. Special shoutout to Yanick don t panic one of their photographers-super personable guy who took some of our best photos! Also shoutout to Nickolas one of the bartenders on staff, we met him our first night there and he always went above and beyond for us and even helped us book a cab to/from when we told him we wanted to explore the Friday night street party taking place down the street from the resort. If you re there for a Friday night I highly recommend checking it out-we went with some friends we made at ten resort and had an absolute blast! St Lucia is a beautiful island full of friendly people, we couldn t have asked for a better spot for both adventure and relaxation for our honeymoon! Thank you Sandals Grande for making our stay so special!

Very nice resort. I was staying in La Toc and decided to visit the grande. Seems to be a younger crowd at the Grande. With a younger crowd (21-30) comes, obnoxious yelling, super drunk people, vomitting, passing out. The beach is big and fantastic at the Grande. The food is great. You can hike pigeon island which is right next door, but I didn't bring any cash when I went. I believe it cost $7US. The resort is smaller than La Toc but the beach is much nicer.

Went to Grande St. Lucian at the end of January for our honeymoon and enjoyed every minute of it. It is a little long of a drive from the airport, but once on the property, we couldn't have asked for more. Amazing views, people, and hospitality. You can keep all to yourself in some of the smaller pools or on the beach, or you can enjoy socializing at the swimup bar or the by the DJ that comes out every day around 2. Couldn't have asked for more. Took the helicopter there and back to avoid the long drive, and stayed in a swimup room, so feel free to reach out if any additional questions on those aspects.

My husband and I got married at Sandals Grande St....

My husband and I got married at Sandals Grande St. Lucian on April, 17, 2019. It was hands down the best decision we could've ever made. The resort is top notch and the island is BEAUTIFUL!
We stayed in one of the Grande Rondoval Butler Suites and that was such a dream! We had the BEST Butlers in the world! I still miss them so much! They were so sweet, and caring, and made us feel right at home! We LOVE Nakisma, Giselle, and Immer so much!! We shared laughs with them and they made our wedding/ honeymoon so special! I cannot wait until we can go back and see them again! And I cannot thank them enough for making such an important time in our lives so incredibly special!
Also, I enjoyed every aspect this resort had to offer: the food was great, the drinks were great, the watersports were so much fun, the people are amazing, and the views are beautiful!
I recommend Sandals Grande St. Lucian to everyone I know!
I can't wait to go back!

I will say is if you get married here make sure all your friends and family stay here as well. I had a few friends stay at one of the other Sandals on St. Lucia and they didn't like taking the bus back and forth. They said they would have rather stayed at the same resort we did so they could spend more time with us rather than on the bus! Just a little tip for those planning their wedding here :)

Amazing!!!!! Also, Prince Harry stayed here so, co...

Amazing!!!!! Also, Prince Harry stayed here so, come on, it's fit for a Prince.

1) Staff: The best!! So, so, so, so nice and accommodating. Everyone always has a great attitude.
My husband lost his cell phone in the shuttle to the airport, and he let Sandals know. By the time we left St. Lucia, neither Sandals nor the driver found it (the shuttle drivers do not work for Sandals, and his wi-fi and cellular data were turned off). A day after we got home, I received a call from the resort and the driver had turned in the phone. Sandals shipped it to us.
Our departure flight was cancelled once we were boarded. We went back to the Sandals Lounge where staff did everything necessary to figure out what was going on with United, made arrangements for us at a closer Sandals resort (La Toc), and coordinated all the transportation.

2) We opted for a Club Level, swim-up room. During the day you can easily have the entire pool to yourself since people are usually on excursions, at the beach, or at the main pool. We also didn't hear any of the loud music.. Anyone with a room that faced the main pool had my sympathy because the music got SO loud on a couple of nights.

3) JJ's Boat Tour: Meh. They take a large group of people on a couple of 40 ft speed boats along the coast. Eventually you dock and take a quick shuttle to the mud bath. Then you wait about 10 minutes for people to use the bathroom. You get to the mud bath and they're just trying to get everyone in-and-out as quickly as possible because there are so many people; same with the waterfall they take you to after. Both the mud bath and waterfall had a lot of uneven, rocky surfaces you have to walk/balance on. Next is snorkeling in a roped off area of another resort which was neat, but you definitely don't need 45 minutes to take it all in. It's at this time that the rum punch and beer start flowing. After snorkeling is lunch at a local restaurant, and more rum punch. You depart from lunch, and more rum punch on the drive back. On the boat, the staff blasts music and tells passengers to scream and wave their hands, and show any passing boats that you're having way more fun than they are. People would come back hammered.

4) Cabana with butler service: Not worth it. There are so many lounge chairs with umbrellas on the property, which do the same job as a cabana. There is staff walking around asking you if you want beverages anyways. Plus, there are 2 bars that are super close. The restaurants that are open for breakfast and lunch are very close as well, so having a butler bring the food to you wasn't much of a benefit. Additionally, you share the butler with all the other cabana's. There would be times when I wouldn't see the butler for a whiiiiiiile. The butler offered me sparkling wine, and I accepted. What she didn't mention is that the sparkling wine costs extra. Didn't find that out until we got our final bill.

5) Pigeon Island Hike: Awesome. Really cool history and ruins. Went up to Fort Rodney and Signal Hill; the hike up Signal Hill was more of a climb. Sandals staff had arranged a 'surprise' for us, so once we got down from Signal Hill, a boat picked us up for a harbor cruise.

Overall, it was incredible, super relaxing, and we are so glad we chose Sandals Grande over their other two resorts in St. Lucia.

We stayed at Sandals La Toc and came to spend a day at Grande. That's kind of the treat when you get with Sandals, you can to resort hop. It won't be fair to compare both resorts, but this one was more grand as the name, had more beach amenities and definitely a Caribbean feal. Shacks on the beach, great food, local food station and amazing drinks. I am vegetarian and I loved all the options. Overall, I feel Sandals deals for all inclusive resort is worth your money. You can really let your brain rest while you are at Sandals.

Sandals Grande lives up to it's name; perfect beaches, amazing drinks, friendly staff and an overall stunning resort. The food is very good for an all inclusive, personally we liked Bombay, Soy and Toscaninis the best. The drinks are delicious and the bartenders are excellent with making up their own creations. We booked around 7 or 8 excursions and they were all excellent and well organized with the hotel (run through an independent company).
Be aware that there is a very loud Sunday night party on the public beach next to building 5000 and so if you staying on that side, you might not get much sleep on Sundays. Otherwise, it was quite peaceful.
The only (slight) downside was the massages at the spa. They advertise "deep relief" but it is really just a relaxation massage with slightly more pressure and even if you ask them to focus on certain areas, they just do the same generic massage. The spa itself is attractive and well featured but I'd go for services besides the deep relief massage.

Me and my wife went to the Sandals in Antigua the ...

Me and my wife went to the Sandals in Antigua the previous week, and it was all around amazing. We then decided to spend the second week of our honeymoon in St. Lucia, and didn't feel that we got what we paid for (which cost a lot of $$$$$). The food was pretty much the same as in Antigua, very good, however the condition of the resort in St. Lucia was probably a 7/10, and the room service was a solid 10/10. The service at the restaurants at night was subpar, and the service for lunch was laughable. Thank god they have a no tipping policy, otherwise I would have given them some money out of embarrassment for them.

The weather and beaches here are also not as nice. There are rocks on half the beach hidden under the sand, which will cut you if you're not careful, and the weather was 3/4 cloudy and 1/4 sunny.

All in all, it was a nice vacation but I will not be coming back.

PS watch out for Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday nights if you wish to fall asleep before 4am. There is a constant rattle of your doors and windows because of the bass coming from the locals music in the park right next to the resort. Definitely annoying to say the least...I personally come on vacation to sleep at night, not during the day when I want to be on the beach swimming or getting a tan.

We just wrapped up our AMAZING trip at the Sandals...

We just wrapped up our AMAZING trip at the Sandals Grande St. Lucian. It could not have come at a better time or been a more enjoyable trip. From the moment we stepped foot on property we were showered with attention, care and everyone went the extra mile to make this special. From a private birthday dinner for my husband, to making sure we had the opportunity to try the Lamb at Bombay s before we left the staff has gone above and beyond (shout out to Winston and Henrique!). The resort is gorgeous and we had the opportunity to do some water activities/excursions during our stay in addition to fun nightly entertainment and delicious food. We went to the Barbados property 2 years ago and this was by far our favorite. Special shout out to Winston (GM), Henrique (Executive Chef), Francillia (Guest Services Manager and the sweetest gem ever), Hetra (Soy Server), Quristal (Gordon s server), Peter (Pool Bar-ask for the Peter Special-blended mango drink, it s amazing), and Nadia at the Front Desk. We were some of the first people to arrive on property and despite the lower occupancy, restaurants/activity/entertainment were all running and available. The staff all wore face masks but that didn t take away from being able to interact in the usual Sandals way! We also got a 90 minute couples massage while there and it was phenomenal. The hotel did a great job of Covid protocols but not once did I feel like we had to monitor/watch what we were doing or like we could not enjoy ourselves. We just enjoyed this special time away. FYI we stayed in the Bonne Terre building level 3 (Club Level). I would recommend the beach view (what we had) as that is the view of the carribean ocean and resort.

The trickiest part was the testing before leaving the US, the entry into St. Lucia (although I m sure they ve ironed out the kinks and sped things up), and the car ride to the hotel (if you are prone to motion sickness, take a Dramamine). For those debating whether or not to go, I would say DO IT (assuming you are comfortable with travel). We loved every minute of it and met some great people while there. Can t wait for our next Sandals trip in 2 years!

PHENOMENAL!!! This was my first trip to a Sandals resort and The Grande St. Lucian blew me away. Their service is remarkable - sometimes unbelievable. The staff is so friendly and happy, and they go out of their way (a lot!) to make sure you could have every thing you could possibly want. I'm not sure how this vacation will be topped.

Just returned there from one of the best vacations we had, the property is very well maintained and the staff is beyond friendly, special than you to Leone at the breakfast restaurant for going out of her way to please guests, she went above and beyond to ensure everyone is looked after with a personal touch for each guest.
The beach on the property is one of the best on the island, always clean and well maintained.
The food was fantastic at every restaurant onsite, the portions are small but you can always double up on your order.
We will definitely be back.

Wonderful trip to take for our honeymoon! There were lots of food options and it was all good. There were lots of activities whether that was water sports, hiking or other island adventure tours. We did horseback riding and jj s speedboat tour which were a blast! The best part was the service. Everyone was so nice and helpful and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there! Highly recommend and would do a return trip!
