San Diego Marriott Hotel and Marina Reviews

This is the first time we stayed at this hotel. We got to the hotel early and ate in the restaurant near the lobby. It had a great view of the harbor. When our room was ready I was sent a message via their app on my phone. Even though we didn t need to go to the Registration Desk, we stopped by to pick up some free water and chocolates. I booked thru AAA so our daily parking rate was waived. They have a resort fee but you can use it for the Starbucks (up to $10) in the lobby, bike rental, paddle board rental and more. Fantastic pool area with an excellent bar. The view from our room was amazing!

My favorite hotel in San Diego. Beautiful views of bay and marina. Excellent service and very clean and well furnished room. Nice restaurants in the hotel and several more in just a walking distance.

We booked a couples massage at the Hideaeay... Great time.

Close to the convention center and staff are very friendly.

Phenomenal. Just stay here. Food, the room, the view, etc. Managed to stay at a per diem rate which made it possible. I will try for this location every time in San Diego.

Just stayed 5 nights for a pest control conference. All the staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean. Right next door to convention center and super close to gas lamp. Overall a great stay.

The bar has great food and drinks, especially the 8 dollar bottomless mimosas during breakfast. The pool is beautiful! Nice room and view with very accommodating staff.

I rented a car at the Hertz located in the lobby and they were very professional and helpful

The conference area has been remodeled exceptionally and the large light fixture over the large reception area outside the Grand Ballroom is stunning as well as the interactive photo walls

Nice hotel right on the Bay. Staff is a little pretentious but if you get past that the views are awesome, rooms nice, and the Gaslamp District just a little walk away. Beautiful pool but a bit cold with it being winter but the hot tub is just fine. There is a tequila bar outside too with a great selection.

The free WiFi is terrible and they want you to pay for an upgrade. Housekeeping didn't come by at all one day (out of 3). The room was ok otherwise: beds were comfortable and the TV was nice. Food here (and everywhere around the hotel to be fair) is crazy expensive. View would have been nice but the window was extremely dirty on the outside.

Great location, great service, great food. They said it was walking distance to Sea Port village, and it only took is about five minutes to walk. The hotel breakfast was excellent.

I come here every year for the Nintendo gaming Lounge this year it was more controlled to try to control the flow of traffic I enjoyed it more in previous years or it was easier to hang out here. I want all the hotel itself seems very nice although I have never stayed there and the food in the lounge seems a little pricey, but you are downtown by the Bay it's a great location to host an event.

Beautiful lobby with helpful people to help you find your way around.

For $270 per night, I got a room at level 7 with dusty window and bad views. The room is old and water pressure weak. After one night, I cancelled the booking and moved to another hotel which is 30% cheaper, got better views and room.

Very nice hotel. The marina from the north tower and the sea views are wonderful. The outdoor pool is nice, the personal is very good. Very close to the center, right next to the convention center. Breakfast a bit weak.

Bathroom shower plaster collapsed overnight. For 700+ a night very shotty. All they offered was a 100 credit then refused to go more saying they fixed it. Yeah fixed it hours later so I went without a shower for basically the whole day. Be wary folks, this is a numbers hotel through and through your paying for location not facilities.

Great pool and common areas. Lacked free WiFi which is a major gamekiller in this day and age. Otherwise great.

I should have stayed here rather than the Hilton on the other end of the San Diego convention center

Very impressed! Very nice hotel and staff. This is a destination spot. If visiting, plan one day where you just hang out at the hotel for the pool and walk around the neighborhood. It can be expensive, but certain weekends are very affordable, you just have to search and be flexible. This view is from room 1529, which is about half way up the tower on the bay side. I will definitely be coming back.

Conveniently located right next to the San Diego Convention center -- literally a 2 minute walk door-to-door. The view from the rooms are great and the service is consistently friendly and efficient. It's also right on the water, so you can go for a nice run in the morning if that's your thing.

In most towns, being close to the convention center means you are making tradeoffs in another way being farther from downtown or restaurants/bars. Not the case here. The way the downtown area is designed, the convention center is also right next to the gas lamp district, where a lot of restaurants and bars are at, making it really convenient to get a great meal or a nightcap.

Our goto hotel in downtown San Diego. Stunning views of the bay, Coronado Island, and Bridge. Friendly check-in. Parking is pricey though. You can find less expensive street parking across from the hotel.

The rooms were disappointing. I had dried blood/makeup at the end of my sheets. The price of the hotel does not match what you get. Slow elevators and average looking room. We wouldn't stay again.

Perfectly placed hotel. Walking distance to shopping, restaurants, Convention center, and the beautiful bay! The hotel has everything you need. Beautiful swimming pools, well equipped gym, food, etc. Staff are friendly and all that I interacted with were very professional and helpful. Would stay again.

I enjoyed my time at Marriott. Will definitely be coming back to it in my next San Diego trip.

Everything was very solid with a great view. The staff were nice and it's location was great. The only problem was that our room wasn't ready for a substantial amount of time.

The pent house stood out for me! The toilet facilities were awesome! The food service could improve as much as guests tendering.

Really nice place close to downtown, if you're willing to spend some money than definitely stay here

Beautiful hotel! I was here for a conference and really recommend it (if you can afford it, it's pretty expensive!) It's really huge though and easy to get a bit lost.

Nice hotel with great views. It's a plus that there's a Starbucks in the lobby. Didn't get to check out the pool or workout area, but the conference center is amazing and the maybe different places to interact with people make this a great hotel for a business trip. Great views of the harbor are also a great plus. Also perfect walking distance to the USS Midway museum as well as all of the great restaurants and breweries!!

Lobby and common areas are renovated into modern and hip looks but rooms are still the Marriott look

Great facility for a conference. Great food. Very friendly and helpful staff. The pool area is beautiful and the views of the marina are amazing. Close to lots of restaurants, the USS Midway Museum, and the ferry to Coronado island.

The Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina hotel offers a comfortable and luxurious stay in a beautiful area of San Diego. Located next to the San Diego marina, this hotel offers beautiful views and access to Roy's Restaurant on your property. If there is one aspect that the hotel needs to improve, it is the parking lot since it is extremely compact and generally full. It would be important to find offers that include valet parking. The rooms are comfortable and you get a room with a view of the Marina and the pool will surely be impressed. Recommended. Bechego

I attended the Live Well San Diego event this week at the Marriott Marquis. The staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel was beautiful, and the food was great! Overall a very positive experience.

Customer service was great...super clean...and gray view. Very close to everything....walked to Gaslamp

The hotel is a 5 star world class resort located right next to the SD convention center and a two minute walk to Seaport Village and the Gaslamp District. There are several restaurants on site from sit down to a 24 hour snack bar to a Starbucks! The rooms are large and have great views of ether Downtown San Diego or SD bay! There are two pools, a hot tub and spa on site. There is a large gift / sundries shop, with a nice selection of swimwear and t-shirts. The staff is attentive and will make sure that your stay is great!

Honestly such a good hotel in a fantastic area. We were in the North tower and the view from the balcony was great.

I have stayed here numerous times. I love the rooms and the view. The pool is nice but gets crowded. The bar near the pool is great to hang out and people watch. Close proximity to Seaport Village and gaslamp. Parking is outrageous but is comparable to surrounding hospitals. It is a beautiful hotel

Nice convention hotel. Meeting rooms a bit difficult to find. Rooms pretty standard. Two tower design, makes for some of walkingwalking back and forth

Great Location right next to the Gaslamp District in Downtown San Diego. I had a great view with balcony facing the bay. The front desk staff was top notch. I was helped by Maria and Mercedes and they did a great job.

Attended a breakfast event inside the hotel restaurant. The event included the buffet, which was one of the best hotel buffets I've seen, outside of Vegas. Made to order omelettes and pancakes were great!

Here for the ESRI conference. This place is wonderful and on the ball. I have been here multiple times and have never had a bag experience with the staff.

Requested a corner room and was assigned one by the elevators. They didn't say a word about not getting me the room I asked for. That was really lame. The room staff are very good, much better than the front desk.

The rooms are nice, with great views on the upper floors. The weather has been poor so I can't comment on the pool area that looks awesome.

Rooms here are well maintained and the service is excellent

Nice resort with many things to do nearby and there. The bathroom can be a little awkward to use and the beds are kinda small. Otherwise it s great.
