Stayed at this hotel 3 times so far, and every stay is great. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and I haven't had an issue with any of the rooms or services, pluses every room has a great view, regardless of which side you're on.

Only passed by there for Comic-Con. Crowded of course but the staff handled the influx of people well.

Beautiful hotel. Spent our time at the outdoor bar by the pool. Good drinks, good service, great atmosphere.

We had to cancel reservation due to wife having emergency surgery this past Sunday.
We made reservation through Expedia.
We cancelled today ant they said we missed the Marriott 3 day cancellation. BTW, Expedia said on their contract it was today.
We are now charged for a penalty that takes place on Saturday!
Really??
Expedia says that Marriott refused.
Marriott says Expedia didn't make it happen.
And I am a lifetime platinum with Marriott

This hotel has a spectacular view of the waterfront and city. It also is a great location for conferences and receptions.

Really comfortable, lovely hotel with incredible views.

I've been going there for many years, attending commercial real estate events. Conveniently located close to the Gas Lamp District, clean and fairly priced.

It is spectacular, the attention is very good, the views from the rooms, they have all the breakfast buffet is the best there is, and not to mention the location, it is perfect is in the best place in San Diego, easy access to the tram and to the convention center, the people are very friendly and they have a guard service, you can ask for Amazon and they take care of things in the DHL, the restaurants of very good quality as well as the room service of the best of San Diego totally recommended

Very big, but nice hotel. Just a small walk to the Gaslamp Quarter and right next to the Convention center. San Diego Zoo is nearby.

Marriott marquis is an excellent hotel. So beautiful and so much parking. A must stay if you're stay at san Diego.

Foods are fresh, well seasoned and delectable. The salmon was amazingly good, salty and juicy and perfectly cooked. The steak sandwich is nicely hot with peppers and melted cheese. Staff is awesome and meals arrived quickly and with a smile. Love it.

Best hotel in San Diego. Walking distance to Seaport Village the aircraft carrier museum, and lots of downtown entertainment

Very good check in service, Comfortable rooms, no free wifi (which is sad in 2017, 13$ USD per day!!) All the staff was very courteous and professional Bar staff has the habit of serving "better brand" alcohol in cocktails, resulting in more expensive drinks... Had a great stay nonetheless

We spent the weekend here. It was such a great place. they provided us with free vouchers for kayaking and a punch of different stuff

So far, so good for my stay at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina for a conference. It's a very nice hotel located right on the bay. There's a pleasant walking pathway, with shops and restaurants, along the water's edge. The hotel's location puts it close to lots of great places within a short walk or Uber/Lyft drive. The hotel tequila bar offered good service, a small, but good selection of tasty bites, a decent beer menu, and several selections of tequila (good thing, considering the name). The room is comfortable, with a small patio and a view of the marina and bay. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

Very nice hotel looked right in downtown San Diego! Views from my room were amazing every morning and the pool was really fun to swim in. We loved the shopping village that was within easy walking distance and even rode a jet ski in the marina

Room was great, 17th floor overlooking the marina was beautiful. The ballroom was also great for our event but alcohol was very pricey (40 bucks for a $10 bottle of wine and 10 bucks a drink minimum)

Lovely hotel, nice pool area rooms are good. Pool bar area has several nice fire pits for a relaxed atmospheric feel. Would recommend.

Stayed overnight and had a pleasant evening. If you can, ask for a room with a balcony and the bay view. Small balcony that seats 2.
Close enough to gaslamp where you can walk if you wanted, yet far enough from the noise so you can get complete rest. Across the street/train tracks (walkable) from petco Park (baseball stadium)

Check-in was quick and helpful. Surprised by the resort fee, but managed to take full advantage. Room was clean and comfort with a great view. Extremely comfortable bed. The pool is absolutely amazing and feels dropped in from Hawaii.

The place looked great. Very clean and we'll maintained. The carpet looked like it was well maintained, but looked like it belongs in a 1980's movie theater. I would like to stay here sometime.

Stayed here for staycation. Great location, beautiful room. The restaurants on site were pricey but very very good.

Attended a conference at the hotel, excellent facilities and staff were very friendly. Everything you would expect from a high class location.

Every time we have an event there . We are treated like royalty . The wait staff is amazing and very polite.

I met up with an old friend for drinks at the bar by the pool. The grounds are very nice and we'll groomed. It is a very nice atmosphere. The drinks are very good and reasonably priced. Service was great.

Here for a full week for a conference. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.....CHANGE THE SONG IN THE ELEVATOR!!!

I made reservations 2, nearly 3 months in advance. When I arrived, they sold my room and sent me to a cheaper hotel. They didn't charge me for the night, but the principle is that they sold a room that was RESERVED and inconvenienced me.

The location was superb as I had the marina next to me as well as the convention center where I had my meetings attached to the hotel. The service was average but the lounge was bursting at its seams. What irritated me was that I had to pay for having items delivered by the courier to the hotel. Something I am really unhappy about.

Restaurant staff in the Marina aweful. Temple was a nightmare! Overall the staff in this hotel was mediocre at best. Kristy at the front desk a rockstar. The housekeeping staff was great! So many inconveniences. I will try to never stay here again.

Had a wonderful stay here. We got the harbor view, had wonderful interactions with all of their employees, and got a reasonable rate for the location. We also got to use the gold elite lounge for breakfast, which was a step above the ordinary Continental hotel breakfast.

Fantastic location, next to the water with a balcony overlooking the water and marina. Pool area was so relaxing. Only complaints are a lack of true room service, and bugs in my room.

A nice place to stay and walking distance in downtown

Room was great. Outstanding views. Pool is like a Tropical Oasis. the only downside is the $25 destination fee. But the fee is offset by $10 Starbucks credit. 1hr bike ride and 1hr kayak or sup rental. If you can take advantage of the bike and kayak it's a great deal. If you can't then it's just add on fee.

Very nice hotel with great amenities. If you get a room on the bay side you are far enough from the train to where you don't hear the bells ringing.

Very nice hotel with great views of the bay. There are a lot of amenities here, including a Starbucks, shoe shine, gift shop, ballroom, pastry shop, a large gym with trainer on staff, pool, restaurant, marina, and UPS shop.

It is right next to the convention center and clearly made to handle large convention crowds.

The room was very clean and nicely furnished. My room did not have any bottled water inside and the tap water in San Diego is not great. They did give me a $10/day for the bakery, whet I could pick up water and breakfast however.

The hotel is very large and the rooms are very comfortable. It is located in downtown San Diego and everything is very close. You can walk to restaurants and bars in 5 minutes. The rooms are also very clean.

Very nice hotel! Gorgeous views and lots of pools. Unfortunately the tequila bar closed early multiple nights and didn't have a lot of the things I was asking for that was on the menu.

Marriott's top line of hotel, incredible view of San Diego Bay, and point Loma in the distance. Hotel is situated right next to the gas lamp quarter, featuring night life and city vibe. If you comes summer time, I'm sure you will be amazed, let alone Comic con is held annually next door. Swimming pool is heated 7/24, opens till 10:30pm.
