One of Tucson's highlights.
If you have children ask about the Jr. Ranger program and watch out for snakes.

An amazingly well kept park with breathtaking views. Perfect for a quick family drive to admire the saguaros, or if you want, multiple hiking trails. I live to go here everytime I visit Tucson

We visited the west area of the park, taking the loop drive. Spectacular - a must do trip. Thousands of cacti of all varieties. Displays and visitors center outstanding. A great day trip from Phoenix. Best lunch - Coyote Pause Cafe, near the south entrance.

Great place to visit, learned a lot about the Saguaro Cactus and local wildlife from the information boards. The Photographs dont do it justice. Lots of places to pull up and take photos. Cost us $15 but you can buy annual passes which allow you access to both Saguaro national parks in Tucson.

First time I saw a baby saguaro cactus! The park is untouched so the landscape differs from the rest of desert. There is a loop you can drive, however be warned it's a dirt road and rather bumpy. If you plan on hiking take plenty of water and go either early in the morning or later in day. The Red Hills Visitors Center has an after hours pay box and water fill station.

Saguaro Park West beats the East version hands down. Bigger, better scenery, no Jellystone Park Rangers to throw you out 15 minutes after sunset while the sky is filled with painted clouds. East closes at sunset, but they seem to think sunset is complete as soon as the sun hits the horizon.... when, in fact, it has only just begun.

Just like the East side, Saguaro National Park's West side was exceptional - we enjoyed the Visitor's Center & the loop drive! We hiked the Signal Hill trail to the petroglyphs that involved a bit of climbing (good exercise) & stayed in the park past sunset. The desert plants were amazingly beautiful toward sunset!
Our own Kansas sunsets can be gorgeous, but we thoroughly appreciated the desert ones, too!! Since we have our senior pass to all the national parks, it was free for us to visit Saguaro National Park!! Thanks for a great day.

Really great hikes with not a lot of traffic, felt you were almost alone out there on the trail. Only issue was only a handful of parking spots at each trailhead, and often would have to park far and walk the main unpaved road to get to the one you wanted.

I love hiking out here. The flora varies widely and you never know what animals you'll run into (including rattlesnakes so be aware!). The loop drive in the East portion is fun and beautiful too.

All the natural places in the world can only try to be as spiritual and flawless as this desert in the spring, the air during the sunrise fills your body with heart felt awareness of our Creaters love for the earth.

Saguaro National Park is an absolute gem! The scenic drive is a little easier at the Rincon mountain district, since it is paved, but in just about every respect the Tucson mountain district is better. Still, both districts are must-see attractions!

Somewhat unique in being divided into East and West parks by the expanding city of Tucson. Despite the close proximity of the city, this park still offers a great glimpse of it's unique environments from the deserts to the Ponderosa pine forests.

Hiked Sombrero peak with some friends. The trail was pretty hard to follow but we got to the top eventually. I brought some chocolate milk along with me and it stayed pretty cool for most of the hike and that is always a good thing

Very beautiful place to visit. Gift shop is the best we've seen at any national park. The heat prevents extensive hiking (for us, at least) but the drive was absolutely stunning.

The rangers and visitors center staff were very friendly and helpful!!
