Room was clean and tidy and the big enough for two of us. Very nice breakfast. There was no hand soap. Light was bit deem.

Friendly staff here with a good location. Unfortunately it can be noisy as the hotel is situated just next to the main road.

Stayed for one night at the hotel. There was no valet parking available even though it was only 2pm and we were told to find on-street parking but we'd have to move our car every two hours. The room was a reasonable size and clean with a comfortable bed. The kitchenette was cramped and hardly usable. The room was a disabled-access room which is fine but the shower was very poorly designed so you ended up with water all over the bathroom floor unless you only let the water dribble out of the shower. The buffet breakfast had a good range of food of reasonable quality.

Very central hotel but parking or lack of near entrance frustrating especially in peak hour traffic. Build next door noise till 8pm inaccepable. Rooms really nice but additional lighting in main area would be nice. Restaurant fantastic. Hand rail at foot of bath to assist getting in and out of please.

Consistently great service, good range of well appointed rooms and a rather nice on-site restaurant. Highly recommended for a Wellington CBD stay for business or holiday.

Location, cleanliness and service couldn't be faulted

Terrible service, wanted to delay room entry until 3pm. Then said car park is full so get your own parking. What a joke.

Very friendly staff, surprisingly cheap for how nice the hotel is, they put the rugby onto a projector in the lobby for the all blacks. The beds were massive (king beds) - very happy overall.

Very nice hotel and great staff etc. On-site parking is very limited, had to park down the street in a parking building.

Awesome and easy to get to your flight without stress and wonderful

So so noisy from the industrial site next door that made noise from midnight to 6am. Room was very dark with bad lighting. Perhaps to hide the lack of cleanliness. Tv didn t work but they fixed it. Dryer didn t work but they fixed it. It was disgusting under the couch which we moved slightly to make way for my son to sleep. Really don t recommend.

We normally stay here but past two times have had a very average stay. We were upgraded on last visit, but room was very average, very soft bed, four people booked into room but only given 3 towels, plunger in room but no coffee to go in it, NO sign of a mini-bar but was asked at checkout if we ate/drank anything from it, she didn t apologise for it not being there. Breakfast wasn t very nice, food cold, asked for fresh pancakes for kids and was given yet more cold pancakes - in the end asked for them to microwave them. Tried to discuss issues with staff on checkout as would rather discuss direct but given a shrug in response, disappointing - heading back to Wellington but staying somewhere else! Positives are the location, close to stadium and town, some rooms have great views out to the harbour and rooms nice and quiet.

Spent the night here with my partner. Receptionist upgraded our room with a balcony for free and view was amazing! Breakfast buffet was so good too. Staff were friendly and very professional

Accommodation is good, marked down due to poor quality of the in room dinning.

This place is fantastic. The breakfasts were amazing and the rooms were always beautifully clean. We stayed a couple of days and loved every minute. My only gripe is the parking. We were told to bring our car out front to discuss parking only to be told once we were inside that there was none and to move our car. Just the little things.

Poor service in the restaurant. Overcooked steak. Most likely won't recommend or attend again.

An excellent stay from check in to check out. All staff we encountered were friendly and happy in their job, and very accommodating. The pool is the perfect fun time for our 2 boys (3 & 8). The games room is an excellent distraction. -Note: the xbox would not work, but our boys were more than happy to make their own fun from the other cool stuff in there.
The Portlander is an awesome restaurant. The food 2nd to none, and the staff again were just excellent.
Breakfast on Easter Sunday was perfect. And the pan-cake machine a hit!! For a super busy breakfast service your staff were great with all the guests I observed - and the definitely earned their pay, and some that morning.
We absolutely love Rydges Wellington and always recommend to anyone travelling to Wellington.

Brilliant location and the best breakfast in the world

Breakfast is soooo good, mattresses are a bit soft but fine. Found some rubbish in my room but no big deal. Close to stadium and other cool things. Did i mention the breakfast it was good

Rooms quite small for a King Deluxe or whatever it was called. Kitchenette poorly equipped. Bath in room handy. Pool/spa area awesome, kids loved it. Pre booked parking very steep at $50 per day. Great location for train station, westpac stadium and beehive.

Staff went beyond their call of duty to help us during our stay.. Nice quiet rooms with comfy beds. Breakfast buffet is best we have had in NZ.

Service was great. For the price of the rooms we would of liked dressing gowns and slippers in the rooms. There was what looked like blood on the spare duvet. Excellent breakfast.

Great hotel with an awsome restaurant downstairs. Location is good.

Excellent hotel, in downtown Wellington, very close to the port, the city museum and all the main shops. The service was excellent, it has a spa with pool and well-equipped gym. Breakfast was good. They kindly offered us a late checkout at 11.30

In addition to the view of the bay, there were new features such as the light sensor in the bathroom and an anti-steam mirror

Nice room, clean and tidy. Average food. Surprisingly found kitchen with cooktop and no pots/pans to cook. Too dim lights. Couldn t get to anyone on the phone - reception, room service, housekeeping - for over 20 min twice a day. Room Service can be improved, took an hour for a steak. Bathrooms are not very clean. Night reception guys are awesome and friendly tho - bright side :)

We did like our room at the Rydges Hotel. Good facilities and comfortable bed. However bed did have a winter duvet which was far too hot.
We were very disappointed to find they didn t cater for vegans at all in their restaurant after being assured over the phone that some vegan choices would be available. Maybe it is time to add a few options. Otherwise a lovely place to stay with harbour views.

Glasses in the kitchen were dirty sadly . Staff was amazing

I booked 3 rooms for 3 nights for my sisters birthday, my room had mould in bathroom shower, long hair on ceiling and glass wall. Thick balls of dust in air vent, bathroom floor vent had terrible smells. Wooden table in room was peeling apart, top sheet had a tear in sheet. Air con didn t work and they used tape to cover batteries in remote. Hair in draw were glasses are kept. Rooms were poor condition. I would stay clear of hotel, there are better ones around.

My last visit was a room on the 9th floor. This stay was on the 10th floor and this was much better as the extra floor allowed for a good nights sleep without disturbance from the traffic. Room was clean and tidy, very nice stay. My only suggestion would be to ensure the cardio room is actually open at 5am as advertised. It's very annoying having to ask for it to be opened. This has affected the overall score.

The city view was great, room was superb and the breakfast at Portlander is to die for.

No parking available. Parking is charged heavily in the neighbourhood. No business centre. Not even a single computer for guests to browse. A big disappointment.

Clean and tidy, comfortable bed, nice soap and peppermint tea!

The gym is literally 5 square meters and has a spin bike, few weights and a treadmill which was out of order!

While checking in the hall smelled like meat and bacon!

It's just a nice place to recharge and sleep well!

No complaints, compared to other other hotels in the same price range Rydges is spot on. Good size room for a overnight stay or couple of nights. Parking is valet only which isn't a drama, very quick to get your car from the parking.

The room was lovely as usual and the meal at The restuarant was fantastic. The only problem we have is that I am a priviledge card holder and you are never told what you are entitled too. We have stayed here lots of times and just found out that you are entitled to a 1300pm checkout and a complimentry drink. You should be told this when you check in

Workers were nice. The rooms were a bit small. We asked for 2 adults +2 kids and we got 2 double beds. Not very good for 2 teens and 2 adults. Let's just say it was a squashed night.
