Room and facilities average, so not great value for money. Enjoyed indoor pool. Best feature is boutique bar and grill.

Rooms are clean and comfy. The service is very professional.

Noisy lobbys and hallways. Average rooms. Shared parking with other buildings. I was sent to a different car park which is about 200m away which gets so narrow as you go up to 4th floor (as 1st and 2nd and 3rd are reserved car parks) that the turning paths actually will bite into your car's alloy wheels unless your car is high enough to drive over the curbs. Only reasons I would give it any stars is because of the location. Everything is accessible from here in the city.

Nice room. Comfy bed, good breakfast. Room had nice view of city and really big and spacious.
Only thing I would suggest would be to get different heater/ aircon. It s very loud and right next to the bed. Apart from that, lovely stay.

Good room and nice to have a kitchnette available to work in.

Spent a night over the weekend with my wife after we were part of a huge public event we ran. The room was nice clean and modern and was nice to relax in the bar downstairs with its amazing bar staff. Just a nice modern friendly atmosphere. After a long day it was exactly what we needed to wind down

The service at each touch point has been amazing, the room is great & the food & coffee delicious! I recommend their cheese burger - yuuuuum!!!!

Awesome Hotel excellent restaurant and bar food is great nice spacious rooms clean and tidy bathroom nice and tidy staff are great and always willing to help beds are comfortable and clean very short walk to train station and supermarket the CBD is only a short walk away and a nice walk around the wharf waterfront is breathtaking

Rydges was a stylish hotel with excellent service and top quality facilities

City center, close to the seaside walk. Comfortable bed, large enough bathroom, plenty of various cups. Breakfast bread is very delicious, English tea is good, the basic needs of the average person can all be satisfied, banana milk plus points, small desserts, suitable for bringing children.

Room stunk of cigarettes. However they did move our room promptly. There is no signage for parking, nor a driveway etc to pull into. On checkout there were pricing issues with expedia booking

Loved it!! We had the best experience ever! The breakfast was by far the highlight - Rydges really put it on for us for our weekend in Wellington - will not be staying anywhere else from now on - Thanks so much :)

King suite with balcony room doesn't have water views like the photos suggest.
Balcony has no furniture and is too small to sit out on.
Very pricy for limited services.
No valet parking available as there was an event at the stadium nearby and is offered on a first come first serve basis but the hotel won't advise if an event is on during your stay.
40 min walk to hire car drop off and no taxis available. $4 bottle opener in room, no real free/available crockery provided.
Food was sub-par especially considering the price.
Overall disappointing stay - we won't be back. Will stay elsewhere.

Just good all round. Nice and quite in your room at night, everything clean. And tidy and fresh. Restaurant is often too busy but you eat the food you'll know why. Great steaks. I liked the room service Caesar salad too.

Great hotel, no complaints. Was allowed a later checkout of 11am no problem and they held my luggage while I toured the city. Excellent location

Overpriced for what you get. Great views don't count for paying 250 bucks more than just 10km away for a better room with no view.

The Rydges Hotel in Wellington is all that you come to expect of a chain hotel. Large rooms, comfortable and large twin beds, coffee and teamaking facilities, an aircon system that is fierce and an overpriced mini-bar.

The bathroom has all the normal facilities but oddly lights up the bedroom when in use. Not great at 4am when one of you has a call of nature and wakes the other one up.

And our safe was broken.

Clean and modern. Friendly, professional staff. Great buffet breakfast.

When the booking was made a carpark was requested.

We phoned asking if we could have an early check in and confirm parking, to which they said it had not been requested, so she requested it.

When we checked in we were told parking had just been filled up 10 minutes ago. So we had to park in a parking building 3 minutes away. There was a reason we requested parking!

The fridge hadn't been emptied and there was someone else's rubbish left, so the room hadn't been cleaned properly.

Whilst the rooms weren't big everything was done well even down to the small details. Good job.

Strategic location (close to Victoria University, Wellington Station, and Lambton Quay), comfy and clean place, are the reasons why this hotel is preferred to stay, for both leisure or business purpose

Easy access to town, vallet service ($30 a night), great restaurant and tavern in the lobby. Very clean rooms, large soft beds, plenty of pillows, and nice furniture and decent space. My room had a fridge and a hob as well.

Attend conference and stayed the night.
Great facility for conference. Rooms were clean, tidy and great furnishings.
Food was ok, a little too a la carte for me at times.
Staff were all friendly and well presented.
Would recommend for personal stay.

My room was noisy like an old creaky house and house keeping removed my cloths thinking I had checked out after the first of two nights stay.

Staff are awesome. had a few issues. probably worth being angry about. Buy they sorted it. Will always stay with them when we come back

Great location. Very centralised. Good for short trip. No issue with transport. Opp train station. Uber super convenient. Walking distance to dining places.

Normally good for coffee but given wrong drink which was disappointing.

Room was tidy and was a great place to relax after busy days exploring the city. Room didn't get serviced properly though with the bed not being made even once for a 3 night stay. Buffet breakfast was nice but the info about the hotel wasn't clear. Room service was good.

Room had quite a few things that made it good but some that missed out on. I. E. Bathroom was slightly laid out weird and aircon didn't work as great, had a really hot night.

Either than that, breakfast was great and service pretty decent

Good location but let down by a fish smell in our room. Long wait time get fed in the temp pop up restaurant.

Very nice modern rooms and helpful staff.
Only thing was parking, had to park near the warf, 1min walk not much of a problem but it was $30 a day for parking.

I traveled to the Rydges Wellington for only one night. They allowed both an early check in and a late check out as well as offering a capped taxi fare back to the airport.
Travelling with children is never easy so the extra time took away a lot of the urgency from my stay and allowed me more time to enjoy the facilities of the Hotel.
The dinner my family had was delicious and the waiting staff were perfect - there when you needed them but not when you don't.

We booked the hotel just because they state that parking space is available. Got no parking space upon arrival as all were allocated. No hint on the website that space is limited. Cancellation of room was not possible without fee.

On Negative: preventative mtce could be asked to the Gym door latch on the inside. Got locked in on morning 18th August. Have to call reception via my roaming phone.

Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely modern, clean, inviting, plush amenities. Fabulous place to stay... Didn't want to leave my room.

Good rooms - kettle, toaster, microwave, cook top.
Pool was on the cold side.
Breakfast buffet could do with refinements to ensure inclusive of people with dietary needs and food restrictions but could find something to eat to meet all needs and they would bring out non dairy milk upon request.

I remember when i handle a dinner event in the hotel. The staff was rude and also not answering my questions. They made me confuse and everyone attending to our event confuse. Pretty dissappinting since we paid around $7000 to the hotel. I would never recommend anyone to have an event in this hotel. Completely horrible!

Pity they do not have courtesy car to the airport.
No airport flyer bus available now.
