Great atmosphere. Prices are getting to be too expensive.
Ordered the chicken and biscuit dinner off the Sunday brunch menu and was so disappointed! There were two hardtack biscuits in chicken gravy- great flavor but no chicken except for a dried up chicken wing.
We ve had some good meals here before but the brunch menu needs improvement.
Nice black bean burger and onion jam. Really cool place, highly recommend if in Mifflinburg!
Beautiful interior. Good beers and friendly staff. They also have special events such as wing night and trivia
Went here for a wedding reception. It was very nice, especially considering its in a very small Pennsylvania town. The appetizers were delicious, but some of the main meals were served a little warm but not really hot enough. It's nice that there were 2 places for drinks so the lines wouldn't get too long. There was a good amount of space for dining and dancing and an overall good experience.
Very cool building, food, beer, and people. Easily worth the drive from State College.
Left my card was left there by mistake called to see if my card was there they said they would check 2 hours went by they finally 10 calls and 2 voicemails later they finally responded All they had to do was just tell me my card was there they said they were way too busy that is totally unacceptable! The excuse Was were busy during the morning it's a two second call!!!!!!!
Been here several times with guys from work. Never had any complaint about any appetizer or meal. The wait staff are very knowledgeable and provide excellent service. Can't say enough about the place.
This building is huge and beautiful. Brick, iron, great design. Gorgeous outdoor patio that is dog friendly. Been there several times. Never disappointed. Went on Easter, figured it would be slammed. We had fantastic service and brunch. The beer is always average. The mimosa flight and the food however was out of this world. So good. We all had something different and everything was good. Love this place!
Top-of-the-line interior, exterior, food, and brew. Excellent brew. No expense seems to have been spared. Terrific experience.
Great food with great friends! Best waitress ever.....Liana!
So far I have only visited once. The beers were all good, however the snow flyer porter and the trails end pale ale were my favorite. The nachos we ordered were tasty but too skimpy.
Great atmosphere, beer and food. Knowledgeable, courteous and friendly staff.
Great place for something different then your everyday food chains....beer awesome wine tastey and the food is excellent with their spin on spices
I read that it is good but seems to be over priced since they don't have prices online in their menu ill assume its over priced and i will not be going if I can not see prices b4 hand
We aren't in this area often, but whenever we are, we must eat here. Beautifully renovated! The food has been absolutely amazing and the microbrews are definitely above average. The wait staff is attentive without being overbearing.
People like nancy need to relax, its new, going to be glitches. Send something back and im sure they would correct it. There are horror stories about customers like you who cant be pleased as well! Awesome place. If u wait, stuff to do while u wait. Food was great. Their kitchen hasnt always been able to keep up, but they wil get it right! New restaurants need time. Prices were very reasonable! This isnt a hog slopping all u can eat joint. Prices compare to applebys and damons and the food and service at those places is always a crapshhot.
What a gem in Central PA!
RRBC offers an amazing beer selection and a menu that offers a wide variety of creative and delicious options. In our group, the beer, appetizers, and entrees were all delicious, offering non-traditional choices served with attention to plating and presentation that are second to none. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the restaurant itself is a lesson in local history. All in all, RRBC is a delicious asset to the beautiful Central PA town of Mifflinburg.
This place is HAPPPENING!!!
Huge place with plenty of parking,
Numerous bartenders
Lots of bathrooms
There is a difference between the upstairs menu and downstairs menu
Pool table lots of TVs
Great art work
Fantastic beers!!! And the food was really good.
The food was absolutely amazing!!! Great atmosphere and our waitress was awesome. The only thing we were disappointed about was that 3 out of the 4 entrees ordered were burgers ordered pink and none of them were pink. :( But they were still yummy.
Beautiful place. Good food, but a little pricey. Fast, courteous wait staff.
Good, high abv beers, the food was great and the atmosphere relaxed and chill.
We enjoyed our stay and meals. recommend highly , service people were all very nice. Recommend it highly!
Friendly food, great food and awesome beer on tap. You can sample several beer and choose which ones you like best
Great service, extra friendly and normally quick. Very spacious and very cool interior and very unique menu. But there's something for even the picky eater like me! Highly recommend.
Place is great but don't come and spoil our fun, it's our local secret
AMAZING! It is still hard to believe a brewery and brew pub so beautiful is in small town Mifflinburg, PA. I have had the pleasure of going to the brew pub twice now. Once was happy hour on public opening night. Apps, beers and a good time. The next night we had to take the parents! This time we wanted to go all out and try as much of the menu as possible. Apps, dinner, brews, and dessert!
The Rusty Rail opening was a long time coming and it was certianly worth the wait. I think people were expecting the moon waiting so long, but damnit they almost delivered! Must see. Must drink. Must eat.
Great food! Gluten free options as well as beer. Kid friendly, cozy atmosphere, perfect for a night out or to grab something flavorful!
A. The 1 star i give is for the hotel room upstair. Its ok nice. However 1. It lack room service. 2. Its little pricey for this nothing area 3. The hallway smells like the hospital 4. It has no view at all out those huge windows. B. The restaurant and bar downstair is average at best. 1. The wait time was exceptionally long. 2. The staff although many are very friendly some are just below service standard on how they treat customers and this totally ruined the experience. The owners need to really retrain the waitresses and staff on hospitality. 3. The food are really expensive. This is big city pricing in the middle of nowhere. 4. The food are below average. The presentation looks interesting but all the dishes just disappoint. Just like this whole concept hotel restaurant. Its interesting attractive but when you really try and experienced it it disappoints.
Nice, good beers, clean, we had good staff and the food was better than I expected
Best food in town. Service is fantastic and dont even getvme started on the beers on tap. They accidentally made extra oktoberfest so we got a cheap growler to take home with us. Talk about hospitality. Amy, our server not only knew her stuff but was happy to help abswer every question under the sun. Best place around!
Flavors were good but if your expecting "prawns" you aren't getting it... False advertisement... Should be called a shrimp cocktail at most...12 bucks for four shrimp, I don't think so... Also the wings are extremely small but like I said the tastes are there so there is promise.
PROS: There was four of us for dinner on Valentine's day. Atmosphere was great.
CONS: Waited over an hour from when we were seated to when we got our food. Food was not very warm. I had the crabcake entree with black rice which was dry and six long green and yellow beans. We all thought we would get a choice of soup or salad. The waitress didn't offer and we didn't ask. For over $72.00 for 2 was crazy. We will not drive 2 hours to eat here again.
Taking a star off because our server kept taking her mask off to chat with us, and stood way closer than 6 feet. Otherwise excellent.
Just had a quick lunch with my mom tomato bisque soup and a havarti toasted sandwich it was excellent
Food is always great here. Good beer selection too.
Amazing facility. They paid attention to every detail when designing this place. The beers were terrific. Service was a little slow but very friendly. Menu was nice blend of sandwiches and entrees.
The atmosphere and decor is really pretty woodsy. I had a turkey burger and sweet potato fries. Both super tasty. The beer is always good! I also love creme brulee, which is hard to find in the area, and theirs was a large portion and very tasty!
My husband and I rode our motorcycle to Mifflinburg today to try out the Rusty Rail Brewing Company. This place did not disappoint us. WOW! The building is georgous, the food was fantastic, and the service was top-notch. Oh, and yeah the beer. We tried two different beers, the Blond Ale and the Brown Ale and liked both of them. My preference was the Brown Ale. Our waitress brought us two small samples of two seasonal beers, one for fall and one that was their summer feature. Again both good. Even though the Rusty Rail is about 50 miles from State College, it was worth the drive. The weather and back roads also made it an enjoyable bike ride. Will be visiting again soon.
Immaculate and amazing!! We highly recommend coming and staying here. The food and beer are top notch, too.
Apparently they spent all of their money on the building and not on training the staff. Come for beer and apps only because the run a round they give for eating a meal is just not worth it!
Just a small town girl, livin in a lonely world. She took a weekend drive up to Mifflinburg.... My best friend and I were on a weekend trip to a cabin and the rain ruined our plans for fishing and campfires. Fortunately we found a Google listing for Rusty Rail. We walked into the Brewery and were greeted by lovely hostesses. The place was already bustling at 4:30 PM with a nice dinner crowd. We opted for seats at the spacious and beautiful bar. The aesthetic is industrial and historic yet modern and bright. Immediately the bartender Phil welcomed us with a great personality and speedy service. The other bartender, an adorable and peppy blonde was also super cool. Phil took our orders of flights and patiently walked us through the beer selections with a casual and approachable demeanor tagt is rare in the brewery scene these days. He didn't challenge my friends dislike of IPA's with the usual condescension and instead was super excited to offer her all the other beers they had available. I enjoyed every beer in my flight. The Creek Surfer and Wanderlust were my favorites. We shared and order of pierogies and they came out hot and delicious. The crowd was welcoming and chill. It was the sort of place I would love to take colleagues and friends. We ordered an 8 pack of bottles and a growler to go and I am so glad we did!
We've been here several times, and we are never disappointed. The food, beer, service, and scenes are always impeccable. The building is gorgeous. There is a wide variety of food... it always takes me forever to decide because everything sounds good! The service has always been friendly. The server we had today, Kristie, was very kind. I highly recommend Rusty Rail!
Great dining experience and awesome selection of brews.
As others have stated the RR is very cool repurposed building and all their wait staff are great. They have a great craft beer selection but hit and miss / sub par food. Prices are twice what they should be and the portions are way too small. From now on I will only ever order a burger if and when I go back.
The beer and food were both superb. Service was also great, and our food came out very quickly.
Really good food, great service, and a fantastic beer selection. You'll find something for every taste. Brenda took great care of us! Don't miss this one!
They should not have they breakfast intill 2:00 it's so dumb cuz if you want to eat there you have to wait intill then to eat lunch
Beautiful inside and out. Staff was super friendly. Brunch menu was well done. Food was outstanding! I would recommend going even if it's out of your way to get there!
Never fails to impress. They always have several different "sidecar" beers, in addition to their regulars. The food is fantastic; they have some different items that you won't find at other restaurants/pubs in the area. The staff is friendly and helpful. Game room upstairs with free bar games (pool, foosball, darts, full size shuffleboard), full bar, and it's own menu. And the architecture is crazy cool. Great place, love to stop in.
Got sat down at a table after two hours and almost got told we can't order from the menu because we waited too long to call in the order. The waitress worked with us and got us what we wanted. Good people.
The food and service is an embarrassment to this business. The building and beer is great. The cook or cooks need better training as do the servers. Worst place in the area for lunch or dinner. There were six of us in our party and no one had a good experience with their meal. You have to do better, you have to take your reviews seriously.
Great food, can't really go wrong with whatever you choose!
Excellent! Great food. Great beer. Great atmosphere. Well worth our 2 hour drive!
Excellent beer. Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent location.
If I wanted a plain sandwich, I could've had that at home.No mayo, on a plain big bun.Not everyone likes bar b que chips. Beautiful place. Not impressed with lunch.
Wow!! What a spectacular building. The level of architecture and design is simply a must see in of itself. Food was good, beer was good and service was friendly. Certainly recommend this for kids and adults. Upstairs kids can play games for free !! Great place.
While the food and beer was good our service was excellent.
We ordered pretzel bites and wings. Both came out cold. The wings did not taste like they were fried. The cheese sauce was gross. They were out of 2 beers we wanted to try. Overall a sad experience
Grabbed some Fog Monster to go which at first I didn't really care for but now it has kinda grown on me. Has a strong bitter citrus taste that can be a little bit off putting. Probably wouldn't purchase it again but I'll always support the local breweries and businesses, always!
Beautiful facility and atmosphere, beers were above average, wait staff was prompt and food was served quickly and nice and hot. The lunch we had, however, was only average for its taste....not bad, but not great......
frigid cold. Wear a jacket. But really good food. Get the wolf king bbq.
Great food, beer, atmosphere, and service. Well worth the drive from an hour away.
Service was great and the food was pretty good. It was just a little to noisy for me.
Went for our wedding anniversary after recommended by a friend...was our first visit but will not be our last! Beautiful building and wonderful atmosphere....the food was excellent as well as the service...Harrison was great!.....worth the hour drive and can't wait to go back!!!
Improperly cooked meals. Restaurant definitely not busy, took forever to get less than mediocre meals. Chat with supervisor, he offered to adjust the bill. My husband suggested desert instead and ordered the fools gold float. No where in the description does it say it contains alcohol. My husband being a recovering alcoholic, not knowing took a big drink of it, too find its booze filled. The supervisor, replied, how am I supposed to know who is recovering? Of course you are not. He also stated that, that is what gelato is, is alcohol... not true in fact. Do the research. Clarification on your menu saves a lot of heartache. I would appreciate to be contacted by the owner.
It is honestly difficult to put into words how wonderful our experience with the Rusty Rail was. My husband and I met when we were attending college near by and used to go to the Rail for dinner on occasion. I would always comment on how beautiful it was and how it would be a great venue. When my husband proposed at homecoming a few years later, he surprised me with a venue tour the very next day. From our very first experience with Roxanne, Elyssa, and seeing the space, we knew no where else would compare. Over the next year, Elyssa walked us through every step of the process and made sure every question we had was answered and our minds were at ease. She made sure to accommodate every special request and kept us focused and on track. The entire experience was simply wonderful. The Rusty Rail really does take care of everything. On the day of our wedding, we could really focus on our day and were not worried about any of the logistics because they were totally taken care of. We were married in January and a snow storm in the evening lead to some hazardous road conditions and the public bar at the Rusty Rail closed early. Elyssa took the initiative to work with our DJ and bus company to ensure that we could maximize our reception, make sure our guests made it home safely, and were refunded for any lost time, all before we were even notified that there was a problem. Everything about our experience with the Rusty Rail event staff went above and beyond our expectations and I really could not recommend them more highly.
Very impressive establishment. Coming from Vermont, I was pleasantly surprised. The Ritz Craft family hit a home run here. Check it out.
Our dinner date on a Friday evening was delightful. Very neat place, delicious food, and our waitress Krista made the experience superb!
Very slow to get table. Worse to get food. Plates obviously under heat lamp for a long time. Average beer. Not worth it.
The food was delicious and the service was great! It has an awesome atmosphere as well!
Second time visiting from Florida and this brewery is fantastic! Awesome service from Carly and an awesome atmosphere all around. So spacious upstairs for the kids and games for everyone!
Beautiful venue, good menu. Still a work in progress in terms of staffing, but once they figure it out, will be a great spot for beer and pub food.
