Great beer, food, and service. One of the coolest brewery spaces in Pa.

Michael Hoover with East West Drilling brought us here for lunch. I had an open-faced road beef sandwich. $8.00 what a great price for lunch. I also suggest getting the spring rolls as an appetizer. Wow!
Ahh man ya gotta go on sat. Night smoked 3/4 lb. Prime rib. Excellent . Good food ,great waitress Rayann. A++++.
After a day of hiking in a local state park we were all quite hungry and the hubs and I thirsty for something other than water. We had heard of this place from a friend who is local and since it was close to the cabin we rented, decided to stop in. The place is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous and since the day was so nice we decided to sit outside on the patio which had a combo of picnic tables and tables with chairs, all with umbrellas which helped on the sunny day. My hubs ordered the Wreckener and the 365, both IPAs and loved them so much we ended up getting some 4 packs to go. I had the springtime sangria which was a really well made cocktail! Perfectly balanced and not something I would normally order but so refreshing. Our wonderful server accidentally made two and offered it to me, which of course I took. Unfortunately, I did not get her name but she was not only wonderful as our server but helped us get some packs to go as well. She knew her stuff. For food we got the pretzel bites and mozzarella sticks for appetizers (those for the kiddos). The pretzel bites were delicious, warm and soft, we could ve eaten several more helpings. Everyone except me ordered a burger and all said they were good, not anything special but a good burger. I got the warm Brie and apple salad and it was absolutely delicious! I love hush puppies and even though they weren t a part of my meal, our server was gracious enough to have them added on the side. A beautiful day and a great atmosphere, within stellar service, combined to make a wonderful afternoon!
It's a huge place..a Brewery like no other.. great food choices as well.. Beer selections are very good.. Golden Elixir a honey based Beer was the best!
Served a raw hamburger with paper cooked into the cheese. Won't be back
This place is amazing! The food and drinks are exceptional.
The Calamari appetizer was very small pieces and lots of crumbs. Service was a bit slow but it's a very large facility. My rib eye was great and cooked perfect. My wife enjoyed her lamb burger.
If it was a little closer (still fairly close for me) I would go weekly. Great beer and haven't had a bad thing to eat yet.
Plan on patience as they have a long ways to go yet with the kitchen times, etc, but it is a great local place.
Rusty Rail Brewing Co. is absolutely gorgeous and the menu is fit for a King. Everything was of the upmost quality, in such a beautiful setting, you will make this a weekly dinning experience.
Great food, nice variety of brews and always a couple of seasonal surprises. The wonderfully renovated industrial building has a great look and tons of seating.
The food was amazing!! The service was terrible!! We waited for over an hour for lunch. And waited for 1/2 hour to get another round of drinks.
My folks took my wife and I here for a dinner one night - and it was excellent! Their beer left a bit to desire - I had an imperial IPA that was one of the specials on tap - but the food was awesome!
The portions were just right - and the prices were reasonable for a micro-pub. I had the Philly cheese steak tacos - a surprisingly great combo.
There is live music, a friendly staff, impressive building, ample parking - it's an all around nice place to stop. I would highly recommend it to anyone passing through, and would make it my local if I lived in the area.
Food was OK. Super busy, so things took awhile. Band was there and was so loud you couldn't talk or hear.
Really cool place. When I stopped (3pm on Friday) not too busy. The beers were REALLY good. The bar hop was great, let me taste a couple I didn't try. The patrons were fun, we all talked and had fun. I would go back next time I'm down that way
Ive been here 3 times now and have never really been happy with my meals servings always way to small for the price, you should not leave a resturant hungry when u pay 25$ a entree. Tonight i got a steak and it was 80% fat told the waitress and she said oh thats to bad. Will never return.
Go on Sunday's and try the brunch and go up to the safari game room after!
Service is always good, food is always amazing. Great atmosphere too!
Food is great service is always good just an overall great experience
Although it's a tad on the pricey side, the beer, food, and atmosphere are always top notch!
Rusty Rail has an amazing atmosphere & food. They DO NOT take reservations!
I have been there 3 times. The 1st time was for lunch - there was a 30 minute wait All the food was great, with the exception of the fresh fruit cup on the children's menu, which was a dole mixed fruit cup for $3.00. The 2nd time i went, I went with my husband, we sat at the bar. It was busy! However when we got our appetizer which was the Rosemary Asiago House Cut Fries, it was cold -we had to send it back!
On our 3rd visit we met 4 other people - the wait time - 2 hours! Which ended up being 2-1/2 hours.
The waitress was awesome - But the food (appetizers & entrees) took a long time to come out! It was the 1st time for our friends- they were quite disappointed!
I hope that they will improve
Have been here twice and each time was a great experience. The food, staff, beer and atmosphere are amazing. If I didn't live so far away I'd probably be there once or twice a week.
On a whim my wife & I brought an out-of-town guest to explore the menu at RR and were pleased AS USUAL with the menu options and pricing. Service was excellent prompting an above normal tip. We'll return!
Pretty lowsy experience 6/9/18. Ordered an "NE IPA" that looked and tasted like a Miller Lite, bad enough I didn't even finish it and certainly prevented me from spending another $6 on any of their other beers (it was called Fog Monster which I thought was pretty ironic).
Food wasn't very good. We ordered pretzel knots that came with cheese dip but instead of it being warm, or even room temp, the cheese dip was cold like it was straight from the refrigerator and gross.
Wings had weird yellow fat chunks in them and definitely weren't worth the money since we only got 8 of them. Sauce on the Cheesesteak made it soggy.
Overall very unimpressed. The building was nice and new and the onion rings were OK so I'll give 2 stars instead of 1. Will not be going back.
here from NJ to enjoy PA and do some fishing, a great destination, food , atmosphere, hospitality and comfortable rooms.
The bartender was great, she was really nice and she was very efficient with everyone sitting at the bar. However, the food wasn t too good. She actually noticed my steak wasn t how I ordered it before I did when I was cutting into it, and insisted that the kitchen cook a new one. She stayed in the kitchen until it was for to watch them make it correctly. She tried to get the manager to take it off of my bill because it took 30 minutes for it to cook, but he wouldn t. This isn t the first time the manager would not try to fix something wrong. The time before, my eggs weren t cooked thoroughly and there was raw yolk on my plate. He stated that he took off what was appropriate, which was only $5.00 of a $15 plate that I did not eat once I noticed the eggs not cooked properly. I have no complaints about the servers, everyone is friendly and professional but the manager does not like to help or try to compensate a customer who spends $60+ when his kitchen doesn t make an order correctly.
The chicken wings were good, the sweet potato fries in my husbands dinner were great but my dinner the Caesar salad was a joke....2 micro-crumbs of cheese almost hard to detect, 3 croutons, and the lettuce left to me to chop...this salad costs $9 bucks! I am not sure if the restaurant chef thinks this is a nice creation, well it is not.....it's annoying.
I am sincerely shocked at the quality of this place. It's a must go
The atmosphere is great! The food was excellent although the portions could've been a bit bigger..... the beer was good as was the wife's drink. Friendly service as well.
Good food good beer good service. Really nice atmosphere
Was just here with my boyfriend the other day. He got the fish tacos and I got the Classic Caesar salad. If you're here on a Thursday and you don't get the fish tacos, you're making a huge mistake. They're AH-MAZING!! I would not recommend getting the Classic Caesar Salad...it's literally lettuce and cheese. For $12. Don't get me wrong, the creamy Greek dressing they put on it was delicious, but it's literally just lettuce and cheese. The kicker is, the Simple Salad, which is $6, comes with grape tomatoes, croutons, olives, onion, and cucumbers. Other than that, the beer was great, the service was great, and I LOVED the smell of smoked cedar throughout the place. I'll definitely be coming back...just ordering something else.
We had a few problems 10 of us celebrating one steak was over done so sent it back. Never got her meal until the other 9 was finished. Another meal was so overcooked and dry he couldn't eat it so last night it was so/so. Waitress was nice and efficient.
I had the pulled pork sandwich with onion rings, and a dinner salad. Both were excellent.
This place is great service is awesomeness and aesthetically pleasing with a good atmosphere
Very nice people..very good food..and solid lineup of beers which won't all blow you away but there is something for everyone to enjoy
Great atmosphere and beer. Every time I've ate here the food was amazing.
Excellent atmosphere and a great place to have a pint.
Good service, even when really busy. The food and beer are both tasty. One of the pool tables upstairs is missing some balls!
Not impressed. Been there twice . First burger way overcooked and dry. Second time i tried pork osso bucco. .....just not a place i need to go again.
Excellent selection of beer with delicious food in a great atmosphere! Mimosa flight with unique flavor combinations is a must try at brunch. Cuban sandwich, brisket hash and sticky bun with gelato were all delicious.
Great place to drink beer and/or eat! Atmosphere is outstanding. Lots of RR brews to choose from. Good service and good pricing. Lots of parking. Highly recommend!
Lunchtime stop while out on the bike. Good burger, even better beer.
Loved this place great food very nice staff lots of microbrews lots of history in this old place cool old trucks on the floors. Highly recommend this establishment
Food was very good. Nice atmosphere. Social distancing made easy. Outside dining.
The brew pub is really nice and the decor is unique. The food and service are excellent, and more importantly, so are the brews! They have a pretty good variety of them as well.
Place was very awesome! Artwork is top of the line and woodwork in the building is exquisite! However, service was the worst I've ever experienced. Waitress talked to the one other employee for 20 mins while my table (3 ppl total) waited for refills. Another 45 mins after eating and our plates are still on the table and we finally have gotten our check that was asked for about 10 minutes ago. I'd totally understand except there's 8 other ppl in the building. Just awful/slow/not taken care of service! Food was delicious and again, top of the line facility. Unfortunately, terrible terrible terrible service makes this a 2. Hopefully they check in on that cause this has happened before though not nearly this awful!
It looked great, smelled yummy. The food was very good and we enjoyed the different kinds of beer available.
What a beautiful place! Stopped for lunch on my way to Wellsboro. Great food and even better beer. A must visit if you're in the area.
Great atmosphere! Great food! If you go on a weekend I do suggest making reservations! Pictured is my wife's 5oz filet mignon with a crab cake!
We were there by recommendations that is was great food. We arrive around 3 pm had about 10 people in our party was told we would have to wait about twenty-five minutes. Why not sure, not packed, lots of empty tables. After twenty-five minutes we got a table. Waitress came right away took drink orders brought those out right away. Took out order, I ordered the pub burger she asked pink or no pink? I replied I want it cooked but not burnt. So after at least one hour wait our order came but as a cut my burger in half blood ran out as it did to my sister burger. I don't eat raw meat, and I would never send it back like it was suggested by one of our party. I have heard to many horror stories that other restaurants workers did to customer's who complained. So I paid for two expensive burgers that neither could eat. I would thing twice before I would ever go back there!
Excellent food! Great service! Hope you all the best through the nationwide pandemic. Cheers!
Beautiful atmosphere. Great service. All of the food was delicious. We shared 4 different appetizers and each was excellent. The crab cakes were great! The game room located upstairs is nice and they actually serve an alternate menu with lighter fare there. Nice selection of alcohol including wine. Decent selection of live entertainment. There's also a beautiful outdoor seating area with a large fire pit. 5 out of 5, would highly recommend!
Food is great, the service is great and the atmosphere is great. My fiancee had won a free night stay in one of their king suites and we just utilized it. Rooms are a bit on the high side price wise for a night if you're paying out of pocket, but worth it. The suite was roomy, homey and beautiful! We are already considering making it a routine once or twice a year. Would definitely recommend.
Amy was wonderful. Food and beer very good. Only complaint we had was had a table for 4 with 2 of us it was very large and hard to hear each other.
Service upstairs is slow, sat for 15 min before an acknowledgement.food is good, beer is good, service lacks
Food and beer were great and service was excellent! The smoked wings were tender and delicious. The Memphis hot sandwich was very good. My wife enjoyed her Palanza salad and her grandmother liked her salmon burger.
Great beer, beautiful building and free games. What else could you ask for?
This is a must stop brewpub. Great setting and atmosphere. Plenty of parking. Great service, food, and beer. Fog monster is one of my favorites here. Will definitely be back.
Excellent atmosphere. A couple issues thought - we went in to catch some of the Penn State game and learned that the big ten network was not available. Its understandable that the cable company may not carry it but that was a bit of a let down while we were staying in the area and it is so close to State College. Also, service was a bit slow for only ordering a few beers. Waited at least 15-20 minutes before we were brought our first beer at 3pm. Restaurant was a little crowded but the staff was plentiful. There were no less than 3-5 girls at the hostess table at any given time while we waited 15 minutes for a drink.
Superb, as usual. Recommend you make a reservation.
Very large, airy place with two floors, two large bars. 2 pool tables upstairs. New at 3 years.
I m reviewing this because the Thighs & Fries was one of the best dishes I ve had lately.
Boneless, spicy glaze and spiced aioli.. Skinny Fries are sweet potato and great.
Recommended.
Fantastic. Very friendly people, great service and the food was amazing!
Well treated, very courteous employees, delicious food .Thanks
All things were good. The place definitley worth a visit.
Awesome place. If you plan on going, take me with you!
We go here frequently. Third time since covid. Sat outside first time. Good service limited menu. Waitress wearing mask. Second time sat at bar social distancing was great bartender wore mask. Food and service great. The third time food and service great everyone social distancing everyone wearing a mask except one bartender??????
I was already familiar with the beer, and again loved it. The food was amazing. The service was awesome. One of my better experiences at a place of grubfullness and ipa.
