GREAT The food is the best and the beer like always is crisp and flavorful I'LL BE BACK
Food and atmosphere top notch. Wish I lived closer.
Absolutely beautiful restaurant, great food and good craft beer. I would definitely recommend.
The is the nicest brew pub in PA. I know there's a hundred of them, but if you're within 50 miles of this place plan a visit NOW. You'll be blown away. Bold flavors in the food and an ever-changing palette of beers couple with the 100+ year building history to make this place an experience, not a restaurant.
Had a great time with the family, there were 8 of us. Harrison was a fantastic waiter!
We went to Rusty Rail about 7 pm on a Sunday night. The place was not at all crowded and we were seated immediately. The server was prompt and helpful, but it seemed over half the menu items and several of the beers weren't available. We had just finished watching Chernobyl on HBO and the lack of food took me back to my high school course on life in the USSR and the empty stores we heard about.
Now I can forgive being out of things, sometimes the truck doesn't arrive on time or you have an unusually large crowd the night before. The reason for the two star rating is that both my wife and I ordered brisket and got pot roast with BBQ sauce instead. I lived in Texas for twelve years and am pretty particular about brisket. While the meal wasn't bad for a roast, please please don't advertise brisket if you aren't going to actually serve it.
Summary - nice building and decent beer but the food leaves something to be desired.
Lots of seating and great beer. The Fog Monster IPA is my recommendation here.
This place is great. I am glad we found it. Rachel is a great server. (Sorry if I spelled your name wrong). The beer is good which could explain my poor spelling. Seriously though this place is awesome definitely worth a visit.
Excellent atmosphere... Excellent food... unfortunately didn't get to try any of the beer. I highly recommend
Beautiful building. Very well done and wonderful atmosphere. Wait staff did well except for our son who has a dairy alergy. She made a few recommemdations but we hatw it when a waitress says something should be fine. They need to right away go back and chexk with the chef right away. She seemed reluctant to ask the chef. Finally we requested to talk to the chef and found a chicken breast he could have. But they didnt give any sides. Poor kid didn't get any sides or anything else. Not much help from the waitress. The rest of our food was ok at best. My wife and I split 2 sandwiches to taste both. And neither of us liked either. The burger was too well done. Fries were cold and hard. And my poe sandwich had no taste I finished it but shouldn't have. Best part of our meal was the appetizer bbq chips. Now those were good. Hope their food quality gets worked out cause would love to go back just not for the food.
Great food, great atmosphere, and the staff are amazing
The food is good but it's expensive. We always thought the sandwiches were pricey, ranging from $12-15, but we were okay with it because you would also get their awesome homemade chips. To our great disappointment, tonight we were served Middleswarth chips with our sandwiches. I asked the waitress and she said they stopped making the homemade chips. But, you still pay the same price.
Furnishing were beautiful. But once we got to the hostess, and saw no one at the outside tables and even more empty tables inside, we were told 2 hour wait? Huh? There's 40 tables open inside and out. Not asked if we wanted to wait at the bar. When you go to the website, it looks like you can make reservations, but when you select a date and time...that it. It does nothing else. All those empty tables and beautiful place turning away multiple customers....hope they get it together. Hard to park as well.
Stopped in after a massive hike in Bald Eagle State Forrest. Was not disappointed in service, quality of microbrews and presentation and taste of food. I m not a foodie, but this sort of treasure in what could be considered by most a backwoods location was phenomenal. Very uptown and upscale for a small town location...very impressed with decor and attentiveness if staff. I will return to this place given I m in the area again.
Had a tour there. Friendly staff exceptional beer well worth the stop and clean suites!
Awesome place!! No more needs to be said about it...just awesome!
Family, Food, Drink, and Open Mic.night! Wow...Wow!!
Awsome wings and beer a must try definitely going back
Good Food, Great Atmosphere! Friendly Staff! What else do no need? Oh! Big Appetite!
My burger was on par with diner food, beer was good, wait staff was a 7 of scale of 1 to 10. Would definitely give them a second try.
Great restaurant and brewery. Sadly it's located so far out of town(State College) that it's a rare occasion that we go.
Great beer. Great food. Soft hoodies. Quality model T trucks.
We spent 2 nights there for my 50th and were blown away! The suites are incredible, the beer of course is amazing, the food was all out of this world, but the service we received before we even got there (and well after) from JoLynn was above and beyond. She made sure our entire weekend was perfect. Roxanne gave us a tour, with so much history of the building and brewery. I can not thank you ladies enough. Our waiter Harrison during the day Saturday, for dinner Saturday, and brunch on Sunday was a joy! He made us laugh and we wanted for nothing. I m so happy we finally made the trip. Thank you to all who made my weekend perfect!! It could not have been a better weekend!
The Rusty Rail didn't live up to the hype, not going to be rushing back there anytime soon.
The Asian ribs appetizer came out cold the waitress did take them off our bill.
The menu selection was nice
Best bacon I ever had! Impressive atmosphere! Awesome vibe! We are so excited to come back!
Beautiful space! Had Irish nachos...very good and Cuban panini....was ok The food is better than average but not rave worthy for me. But the place itself is gorgeous....and you might find the food more to your liking than I did.
The Rusty Rail is a really great place. It's a really well done repurposed factory with exposed beams and high ceilings. It has the brewing impliments in the basement but viewable from the main floor dining area. It has a second bar and game room upstairs with some beautiful large game taxidermy. The wait staff was friendly and the food came out fast. They had some great beer brewed on premises. Make sure you try their flight of 6 beers. Prices were reasonable especially for the serving sizes which were large and the quality which was very high. I had smoked mango jabenero wings which were the second best wings I've ever had. This is a huge compliment. The other food was good too. Atmosphere, food, service, prices, all good. Definitely go here.
Awesome beer, delicious food selections, friendly staff, and great prices.
Food was delicious...service was great! Shay was our server and she was very sweet. We are a family of 5 and our bill with beer and 1 desert and food for everyone was just under $80 not too bad
Excellent Po Boy and bacon cheeseburger look forward to going back!
Father's day buffet was a bust. $35 for wings. Terrible buffet way over priced
Very nice atmosphere and well brewed beer. Happy with our wait staff. Food could have been a little better, the bread was stale and the bison meat not great.
The chocolate mint nitro brew is delicious! A must try! The cucumber ale is also delicious, unexpectedly so! Try the open faced roast beef sandwich, you won't regret it!
This place has an amazing menu. However, their prices have increased substantially since Covid started. Their menu is a lot smaller as well. Over all, still a great place.
The food we had was delicious! The beer was also amazing! Both were outshined by the AMAZING service we got from our server Krista, she earned the 5th star in the rating all by herself!
The only thing that was off was the atmosphere. It was extremely noisy and too bright for us where we were sitting. Other than that, it was a fantastic experience.
Visiting from NYC.. Why I am quickly becoming a fan of PA.. First extended stay here, loving all of it. The King Wolf Stout is the finest stout I have ever had in my sheltered 51 year life.
Great Place , friendly atmosphere, went for some beers but was recommended to eat there what a enjoyable afternoon we had
Nice people tending miss going and making a meal and really enjoying it thanks Gov wolf
Place is beautiful, food was only ok but the owner/manager was extremely rude with clients and should consider changing the job, changing the attitude or getting an education.
We had a group of 30 people upstairs and ONLY 1 waitress for the group. 2 hrs later we got to eat. food was warm at best. Not likely to return.
Great atmosphere, service was excellent, food delicious!
Food was most delish & service was excellent! And they have gluten free, vegetarian options!
My wife and I were in the Lewisburg area visiting her family and wanted to try something new. A friend recommended the Rusty Rail and were very happy she did! The beer selections as quite impressive and local brews were fantastic. The "flight of beers" (six, five oz tasters) was a fun idea and gave a great sampling of the choices on Tap. My personal favorite was the Coffee Ale. The salsa nachos were very delicious (though the serving could use a few more nachos); my Pub burger was good, but it was lacking a stand out flavor. Don't get me wrong; it was good. Just was hoping for more from a signature item. Overall this is a great choice and highly recommend!
Restaurant was expensive with sub par food. Polite service minus the Server/ bartender who made my 4 year old cry. It was my mistake for being spoiled by most brewpubs I take my family to. They are family friendly. I missed the sign that kids can t play the games in the restaurant so they made it a point to call the child and her Mom out for playing a game by yelling across the whole restaurant instead of quietly pulling mom aside and explaining to her that kids are not allowed to play the games. My daughter was embarrassed and very upset. It could have been handled better. They have good beer. So does almost every brew pub in PA. We will be going to one of those next time.
A very unique experience in microbrew resturaunts. Most are just about the beer and neglect the food this place does it all perfect. Food, beer, decor!
Amazing food! And I had the blue collar ipa which was incredible, they have a great selection for everyone.
Great apps and really good beer. Service was excellent. Be back soon!
Rusty Rails is a restaurant and brew pub. Their craft beers offer a wide variety of flavors and types. Their food is always great and consistent (in taste/texture). Friendliest wait staff I've met (on multiple visits). For a more convenient experience call ahead and reserve your table (or on Yelp!)
Delicious beers. By the looks of it, the brewery is beautiful and I intend to visit.
Stellar beer, atmosphere awesome (huge windows, incredible taxidermy, free vintage video games, shuffleboard etc. Great service
Very good service and portion sizes are large. Love the beer! Will be back soon!
Great brewing company with a good selection of craft beers. Very nice atmosphere and pleasant service. Worth the trip!
What a building!! Great menu selection and super food. The beer selection was on spot. A must visit if you in the area. One to go back too.
Great wings, just need to be served hot! Sent them back to be heated but still not hot. Not typical for the rail!
Great place it s located in a quaint small town there is a rail trail and this place is on the rail trail they have beer and classic pub foods the onion rings boneless wings and fries where to die for it was so good and the server was friendly great experience
Great atmosphere,, the food was excellent, and the beer was cold.
Our waitress was very
friendly prompt.
What made my lunch experience extra special was our waiter Joey. His customer service was more than spot on it was outstanding. Fabulous customer service takes the dining experience to another level. Not only was the raspberry lager delicious, the blueberry salad yummy, and the chocolate bread pudding was to die for,,,.....all made even extra special by great service from Joey. Rusty Rail is a dining destination you don t want to miss. Thank you; Joey; chefs, and brew master,!!!
First time there and looking forward to going back! Great food and service and just a cool place!!
Wonderful atmosphere and decor, superb food, grrat craft beer with a wide variety and very friendly service!
Went for open Mic night. It was a blast. You can always find friends you know and meet new ones. Everyone is very kind and inciting. Great place to have an amazing local specialty brew and have some great food too. I always have a great experience when I'm here.
Great beers! Fairly standard brewpub fare - burgers, sandwiches, etc.
If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. Went out there for Thursday taco night two weeks ago. This was my giving them a second chance to come through since the first time I was there for taco night they were out of tacos by 6:30 pm. Having been served what I would call glorified deep fried fish sticks, I still tipped my usual 20%. Not the waitress fault this is where she chose to work. Thankfully I got a notification from my credit card company that informed me I must have had a great experience at Rusty Rail having tipped over 48% on a $49.34 bill with a $20 tip. Ah no I did not. Called out there and of course left a message on the general managers less than professional voice mail as well as sent a contact form from their website. TWO WEEKS AGO. Shock and surprise. No response whatsoever. Cancelling it on my credit card. How s that work for you Rusty Rail.
Was closed for a company party. They should really put that kind of stuff on their website.
Karen was an excellent server. Thanks for adding fun to a yummy meal. Brunch was great. I tried the Nova Lox and really enjoyed it.
Extraordinary renovation. Excellent service, beer and food. Only one month old. Hidden home run.
Went on a Saturday evening at 6pm. They advertised prime rib as their special. Waitress came back and told me they DIDN'T have any more left! It was ONLY 6PM !! They only started serving it at 4pm. In 2 hours it was gone? Did they cook More
Very cool place with a lot of history. Good beer and food with prompt service and friendly staff
Love the atmosphere, my favorite is the single crabcake with sweet potato fries.
YOU ARE ADDING TOO MUCH SALT TO THIS CRABCAKE, LUMP CRABMEAT IS GOOD WITHOUT ALL THE SALT.
Brunch was amazing. I love the Brisket Hash and Mamosa 's.. I will go back again and again. The Single Jack Lager is yummy too.
Great beer, great food and nicest restaurant in the area!
The wings here are excellent!! The best wings I've ever had! The staff is also very friendly.
Brew Pub style food that is high quality. The recipes are creative and delicious with tons of choices.
