Excellent boot buying experience. I was impressed by the selection, organization of the displays, and especially the service I received throughout the process. Millbrook will be my first choice for similar purchases in the future.

This place is a horse owner's dreamland! Very knowledgeable and helpful staff as well! I found a beautiful Australian Stock saddle there, as well as great boots, horse treats, fly spray, lead rope, halter etc. No matter what the discipline, this place has what you are looking for.

I love Millbrook, especially when Erin is working. But i really don't like seeing the hunting trophies. I only see beautifully animals that aren't able to run live their lives anymore. Perhaps they can divide the store so those that like living animals don't have to see the stuffed ones.

Great Store, Great Experience Today. They've remodeled a little since my last visit, and it looks awesome. Today I needed new boots and Sandy was very very helpful! Will always go back.

Had a problem with my son's cowboy boots and a younger guy working the boot department was a real jerk! Can't believe a hundred dollar pair of cowboy boots can be worn out in less than 3 months of use! The manufacturer was willing to return them but needed the store to ship them back and he refused!

Millbrook has recently been remodeled. They are friendly and helpful. Really cute riding gear, and clothing, plus some cute clothing for the whole family. I did some of my Christmas shopping there. And also bought several things for my self. Received several compliments on the sweater I purchased. Hugh selection of boots.

I had been to Millbrook nearly every day over a period of several weeks. I got to know Gloria and Wilda in particular quite well during my visits. I was impressed that they remembered me by name. They were both very knowledgeable & helpful up until my last visit to the store. I had purchased some quilted leg wraps for my rescue mare. I took them out of the packaging, held them up to her legs, realized they were not going to work, and put them back in the package (all this was done in the dark, as our barn had lost electricity on this particular night.) I had returned to the store a few days later to purchase $90 Back On Track wraps but had forgotten the quilted wraps to exchange. So, I made yet another trip to the store the following day to return the wraps and pick up a few more items. While I was getting the items, Gloria took the wraps up to the front counter. As I made my way towards the counter, she was standing there shaking her head at me. I walked over to her wondering what was going on, and she very rudely stated, We can t return these. They re dirty and they stink. I was completely caught off-guard by this. I had truly only removed the wraps from the packaging a brief second and put them straight back once I realized they wouldn t work. She took them from the package and showed me a few spots that had dirt on them. Then she proceeded to say How would you like it if we put these back on the shelf, and you were the one to buy them this way? I was honestly appalled. I didn t even get a chance to say anything before she walked over to Wilda, and then Wilda proceeded to repeat the line about How would I like it if I were the one to buy dirty wraps in the store, then remarked again how they stink. Are you kidding me? Never once did I expect that these wraps would just be magically returned once the fact that they were dirty was pointed out to me. I would have had absolutely 100% no problem being unable to return the wraps had the conversation been polite from the start. There was no need to be degrading about the fact that they were dirty or smelled. I don t know if these two felt comfortable talking to me so bluntly simply because I had been a frequent customer & they had gotten to know me, but it was completely unprofessional and uncalled for!! I have not been back in the store since. Not only was the experience that day very rude and uncalled for, it also made me feel embarrassed. Let me assure you, not being able to return a pair of $17 wraps isn t breaking the bank it was the manner in which it was handled that left me leaving the store so irate. I would rather be treated like just another customer, rather than have the staff think they know me so well that they can be this nonchalant and rude.

*I was contacted by the store to discuss my review. I had a very pleasant conversation with Susan. She was apologetic and understanding regarding how things were handled. We both agreed that most all of the time, it is not what you say, but how you say it. I appreciate that I was contacted so quickly, and that she truly cared about my experience and how to make things better for the customer overall going forward. Even though I am still feeling embarrassed about the situation, I do think at some point I will return to Millbrook for my equine needs.

I could spend hours here- and usually do! Whether you prefer english of western, you can be sure to find what you want. The staff are always very helpful and very knowledgeable. There also is a good selection of supplements, grooming supplies and treats. My horse, pony and mule are always happy to see me come home with a Millbrook bag. They know that whatever I went there to get, I always come home with a tasty treat for them too.

Let me preface this with saying, I am in support of local business' and have been shopping at Millbrook since it opened and closed then reopened, but after the experience I had today at Millbrook I will not be returning. Business' wonder why they are closing due to online retailers and this is a prime example as to why. Buyer beware should you need to return any item that you may place on your horse and the inappropriate comments you may receive from the staff.

I have a growing 2 year old horse that I have had a very difficult time finding a blanket for. Wilda and Kim were helpful the first time and second time I had went in. The first blanket I purchased was too tight so I exchanged it for a larger size, but different brand - no questions asked. After spending at least 40 Minutes speaking with Kim about how the first blanket fit, I took her advice on the second blanket that she had recommended. To get a larger size of the first one would have been well into the 2nd week if January and I could not wait that long. Upon trying it on my horse and watching him walk in it in our indoor arena, it was far too large and puckered in the shoulders and overall just wasn't a good fit. I located the first blanket in a larger size, cheaper online, from a tack store in Maine, so I purchased it and planned to return the other one. I received that blanket in 2 days with no additional shipping charge.

I returned it a week after buying it and the cashier had to call Kim to the front of the store to make sure it was okay to do a full return due to a dander rub on the inside of the blanket on the shoulder in the exact area where it did not fit well. Kim looked the blanket over and said, 'Wow. This is from just having him try it on. He's dirty.' I was completely appalled at hearing that comment because I take great pride in making sure my horse is well groomed and well taken care of.

At that point Kim and the cashier had discussed a 15% restocking fee so they could consign the blanket or fully refunding my money. However, Kim had to consult with Wilda first. A few minutes later Kim returned after speaking with Wilda to not tell me, but to tell the cashier, we can accept the return with a 20% restocking fee.

I told the cashier nevermind and I will just take the blanket and donate it to a horse rescue or sell it online because it had not been used. I also told her that I had learned my lesson and will not be returning after the experience I just had. And her response was well you have to understand we can't sell it with that dander rub on it (which by the way I was able to wipe off with a damp rag). I said well you have to understand you're in the large animal business and it's near impossible in your business to keep items spotless.

The inappropriate comment, the inability to return an item after it being tried on without having to pay a 'restocking fee', the actions of Wilda not coming out to even look at the item to see this 'wear', the prices that seem to be ridiculous inflated, and the inability to get an item in stock in a timely manner are all reasons why I will be going elsewhere. It's unfortunate that I had the experience that I had today, but I hope this is a learning moment for Millbrooks owners and its staff that if they show customers the lack respect I received today we do have other places we can go to get the products we need.

This store has grown a ton since I last shopped! The staff is still great; friendly and knowledgeable. And the products they sell are top quality. There's always some good deals on the clearance rack. I'll definitely be back the next time I need a new pair of boots, if not sooner.

I went for my first time and was extremely impressed with the selection! Definitely larger than any tack shop I've been to in Michigan. I will say it was a little pricey (hence the 4 star) but, they stocked high quality English and western tack, clothing, and stable supplies. Will definitely be returning there soon :)

I used to really enjoy going to Millbrook, But yesterday it was a huge disappointment!! There new "fishing" gear has taken over 1/2 of the store. No consignment tack anymore. Very upsetting!! I will shop online for now.

I purchased a Breyer horse, Sugarmaple, by phone and it was shipped to my door two days later! I got top-notch service all the way around. Kimberly was friendly and very helpful, shipping was very economical, and they wrapped the model professionally and carefully in bubble wrap, another box, and a thick outer plastic bag for protection. They even sent a hand-written card of appreciation. I will be giving Millbrook Tack repeated business and spreading the word! Thank you so much! --MaryMargaret Lazar

Great selection of quality products for both horse and rider and a wonderful staff of knowledgeable equestrians who are willing to share their experiences and recommendations on products

Store is great and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly! They don't carry everything, but do have quite a wide selection. Prices are a bit high, but I suppose that's to be expected when you have staff to help you determine correct sizing and can see the equipment in person vs. just in pictures at the online discount stores! Overall a good experience.

Not sure what the relationship between Millbrook and new owner of Al&Bobs is but the ladies working for Millbrook seem to treat us fisherman with the same respect they do of there own customers. Great customer service at both places and always get a friendly hello when you walk in.
