I went to Rusty Pelican with my three friends and we had a great time. The food was amazing. I ordered a ribeye steak and pe we potatoes.
The hostess up front was rude.
Our waiter Fernando was great, his customer service was impeccable.

Excellent service and good food although a bit pricey. I had the Surf and Turf, was decent but the lobster was dry. Not a large menu, but sufficient. The server was real nice and attentive. Nice environment.

This place very nice view but the horrible attention of the waiters I asked for a plate and they brought me another one a waiter from Colombia understood me, the truth is I like them but his horrible attention didn't even attend us at all I went because my boyfriend took me to celebrate My birthday, which was yesterday, August 14, three people went well, the lobster I asked for, nor did the mass have the meat, if it was very rich, but a dish so expensive and the main thing had no mass, which was lobster, my boyfriend ordered filet stump with mashed potatoes and he They brought fries omg horrible to complete when they bring me the bill we paid them and although the attention was not good at all or anything we left tips and the waiter did not like it and returned to later that it did not worry him or to pay for the electricity of his house hahahahaha it really was good he wanted he said we had to give him 18% of what it cost everything that was 45 pesos good not to fight and be good people we gave it to him when it was not good care or anything in my life I go back toi r to that place that horrible omg I do not recommend it super expensive for and such bad attention

The food here is at another level. That was my final verdict after trying my girlfriend's seemingly simple dish. More on that later. The outdoor seating area offers quite a spectacular view of downtown Miami, especially during a sunny day (I can only imagine experiencing the majesty of the magic city at night).

We ordered crab cake as an appetizer. Now, we had crab cake in its area of origin, Baltimore,MD , and we must say this interpretation was quite delectable. Since there is only one, you are left begging for more. My main course was the Oven Roasted Patagonian Toothfish, which sits on top of mashed sweet plantain, and grilled Anahein pepper. Each of these ingredients taste great on their own, but when you combine them the taste is far greater than the sum of its parts. It's like having a great orchestra playing a grandiose symphony in your mouth.

My girlfriend had the Spaghetti Pomodoro with chicken, and it tasted so rich, natural, and fresh that leads me to giving the chefs in this establishment 5 Mauricio Stars (I'm not licensed to give them Michelin Stars so this is the next most prestigious rating).

Definitely check this place out. Your date will love you for it (if she/he doesn't already)!

The view is hard to beat. The food is good but expensive. The main issue for me is that they allow people to smoke in the best area of the restaurant. So, if you don't smoke or go there with your kids you cannot seat outside.

The Rusty Pelican has amazing ambiance and the view is stunning. However, the food is terrible. My chicken was fatty and had the skin on it. Who does that these days. The macaroni tasted bland as if the the noodles weren t cooked, then drenched in a watery cheese sauce with garlic. The whipped mashed potatoes looked like porridge and tasted like potato flakes from the box. The empanadas had a sweet sauce on them which messed up the savory flavor. The crab cakes should ve been called bread cakes with crab flavoring. Overall I wish I would have only ordered the Caesar salad only and saved $40. The service was ok.

This a gem of a restaurant in Miami. It had it's heyday in the 90s and then had a downturn for a while. Its now as great as ever. It has the best views of any restaurant in Miami. You can eat inside or outside and enjoy some delicious plates. The food is esquisite and drinks are perfectly prepared. I will certainly be back...

With covid shutting down their indoor dining, they did a great job with outdoor seating. We had an amazing time and the entire staff was upbeat and positive given the circumstances. The surf and turf was amazing. The whole snapper and ceviche were fantastic as well. The bread they brought out to start was awesome as well i just couldnt eat too much of it or i would have gotten full too fast! Thanks for making things feel normal in these crazy times!

We just went to have our brunch there on Sunday and it was a BIG disapointment, we didn't have any cash on us and there is a $5.00 cash valet fee so I asked everyone from the Valet attendants in the parking lot all the way to the person checking reservations if the 5.00 can be added to the bill and they said it would not be a problem. When we get to the waitress she asked the manager and then came back saying no, that's not possible which pretty much ruined our trip from there... The waitress should have came up with a solution before she came back to our table and for that reason we will never go back there again, they just lost a very good customer. The food wasn't even all that great... There are better places to go in Miami that are less expenvise, this place claims to be so fancy but yet they cant solve a simple parking issue.

A luxurious place with stunningly beautiful view. Impeccable service. Not cheap. We ordered a dish for two ($110, it included a lobster, red snapper, a steak, mashed potatoes and rice)- it was delicious, and its size is ok for three.

The restaurant space is awesome and the view of the bay spectacular. Food was good too! Service was not very good at all. It was 2:30 on a Monday and very slow. The staff seemed like they didn t want to be bothered.

Joe the bartender and Brittany made the night one to remember. We all know the pelican is in a great spot with a great view, but it s the people that make it stand out in Miami. Thanks Joe and Brit!

Great location if you live on Key Biscayne. Smash the Like button if you enjoy the review!

Not a great location if you live in most areas of Miami.

Food is good, not cheap as you might expect.

Parking is limited, but I've never been there that the parking is impossible. WATCH OUT THOUGH! Park in the wrong place and you might get towed!

Outdoor seating is available. Might want to call ahead and make reservations if they'll accommodate that. Would be better to check for "high times" before you go.

Easy access if you are conveniently located on Key Biscayne. Otherwise, easy access but not necessarily convenient.

Beautiful atmosphere. The food was not up to par with the prices. I ate with a group of 8 and most of us were not satisfied with our food. Hit or miss. The cocktails are good however.

My husband and I met at a Rusty Pelican Restaurant over 30 years ago. We were driving around yesterday (on vacation) and thought it would be cool to stop in for a drink.
After entering the bar and sitting at a table, we waited at least 15 minutes for someone, anyone to acknowledge us. No one did. I finally walked over to the bar and asked 2 waiters that were standing there talking, if we should order directly from the bartender or if they could take our order. Another 5 minutes later, the bartender finally came over and asked if we would like to order. No mention that we had been sitting there, watching the staff walk by us for 15 minutes. Uh, yeah, that's why people usually come in to a restaurant?
We finally got our watered down well drinks, still not sure there was any alcohol in either of them, paid $30!!! And left. No thank you, have a nice day, whatever.
Awkward and terrible experience.
Really made us sad, as we are celebrating our 30th anniversary next week and the restaurant was pleasantly nostalgic until this bad experience.
Will not return.

My husband and I came to Florida for vacation. On our wedding anniversary we came to this restaurant for dinner. It was amazing! The view of the city is beautiful (best view of the city!) and our waiter Michael was very accommodating. Everything that we ate was perfect - sushi, lamb chops, salmon, snapper, corn bread! It was the best corn bread we have ever tasted! There are indoor and outdoor seating. It was very windy and in the 60s so we sat inside and still had a great view. I would definitely come here for an upscale delicious dinner. No dress code to come here!

Good food and views but service was awful. They clearly messed up our reservation and we got a horrible table and the waiters seemed annoyed the whole night, one was quite rude. Will not go back again.

I blame you for the Miami Heat losing LeBron. You allowed Dan Gilbert to come have a private dinner with LBJ in your restaurant and steal him from Miami! I will never eat here again and would encourage locals to do the same.

Had the worst experience ever, got there at little before 10PM, it took the server more than 30 minutes to take our drink order another 30 minutes to take the meal order and forever for us to be served and the food wasn't good as expected. Poor customer service!!!

Amazing food, view, drinks and service. We made reservations on 31st Dec, the table was available within 2-3 minutes. Even though the restaurant was crowded, there was no delay in food delivery. Also, You will get the amazing skyline view of Miami. I highly recommend this restaurant,
