I have to honestly say that because I heard so much about this place, I went there with high expectations and that was my mistake. Yes, this place is in a great location, the view is quite amazing and reminded me that I was in Miami. The ambience, the decor, the staff, and everything else was outstanding. But the food was OK, in a way you are paying for the location and everything else it offers. I personally went there for a party so I enjoyed it, it was an experience. It's definitely a hotspot that one should visit at least once, just don't have high expectations for the food.

I was there last night and i would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone. Overpriced for the quality of food they sell, they need to improve on their seasoning .. the ocean view was beautiful but that was it...

An amazing dining experience - we were visiting the US for our honeymoon and traveled down to Miami for a few nights. This restaurant was just perfect as it takes you out of the hustle and bustle of the centre and gives you the amazing views of the Miami cityscape! Our waiter was friendly and even though seemed pretty new to the job was attentive and polite. The food itself was amazing! My husband had the chicken which was sublime and myself the scallops which were cooked to perfection. I would recommend this for anyone who is looking for a special restaurant for a special occasion or celebration.

Wonderful view, good food. Mediocre service. Staff does not smile... just doing a job. Do not go out of their way to make u feel at home. Bar tenders did not know how to make a drink I requested. I had to google for him on my phone and then then didn t have an ingredient to make drink.
I suggest In and out.. so sad cause it offers a beautiful view of Miami skyline.

Beautiful view from the outdoor seating. The cheese board was very good and wine list was impressive. We had a very long and leisurely dinner, never felt any pressure to hurry up from the server, which was nice considering the limited seating outdoors.

The original Rusty Pelican from years ago had a lot of rustic character but the new Pelican is great too. It's certainly more dressed up and modern and the food is much more refined and sophisticated. It's under professional management and it shows.

Even if the service and food was not great, this is still the best dining view in all of Miami.

Fortunately, the food is wonderful and the service is too. We like to come as a family for Sunday brunch and they are always great with the kids and grownups alike.

It's heavy on seafood and sushi (obviously) but there are great selections of meat and chicken and good choices for vegetarians as well.

The homemade corn bread that they bring to the table disappears in a second. The bunelos are also delicious. And the fried calamari tastes more fresh than most other places.

For brunch this time our table had fried chicken and waffles with Sriracha infused berry sauce, lobster po-boys, pancakes with Nutella syrup, and variation on salmon eggs benedict among other things.

Desert is a hit, especially for the kids with the "build your own cupcake."

Absolutely worth the trip any time of day for the food and the view.

Last night I made a reservation in front of the bay in Rusty to have dinner with my wife and appreciate the view while we had dinner and unfortunately they told me that everything was busy and that there must have been a confusion with the table that I reserved, they offered me that they could to give a table while a bay was vacated, they never gave it to me, in the end and to make matters worse they took a long time to take out our order ... pity service and reservation ...

After reading the reviews, me and my family decided to step into this restaurant. I felt a little looked down upon because of what I was wearing, but I called beforehand and the hostess reiterated that casual dressing was OK. It is a beach city, so expect me to come in flip flops if you say casual! Nevertheless, wine selection was great and affordable. We ordered sushi (good) and the cornbread was amazing! Great to see the sunset. Our waiter was super nice and funny. Really enjoyed our first visit to this restaurant. Would definitely recommend and come here again!

TBH The restaurant is a little bit pricey but it is AMAZING, The food, the ambiance, the service. Everything was on point & perfect for my birthday, starting from the corn bread with honey, to the lobster empanadas ( So yummy) and finally to my main lobster entree plate.

TERRIBLE PLACE, AVOID THIS PLACE, NO UMBRELLA ON THE SUN !!!
It's a COVID place .
Even if you have a reservation, you still have to wait 30 min, It's very crowded everywhere. They take too much reservation.
Food is not good, small plate, a lot of dressing. Service takes a while. They bring you the wine after the food.
The WORST thing, they don't even have enough umbrella for each table;
you have to eat on the sun with 86F.
We stopped asking for umbrellas. They only have less than 10. It's unbelievable to eat on the sun. They bring you the plates with sushi, sashimi, raw salmon or tuna, even the caesar salad was inedible. The cheese was cooked by the sun.
Valet Parking Mandatory on the week end.
I would NOT come back !
For the same price you can find better restaurant because it's not cheap !
$300 for a 1 bottle of Rose and 3 plates.

First the waiter we had Roberto I give him a 5 his customer service skills and attention to details is behond greatness.
Now the restaurant itself has turn out very cold, compare to the coziness the old Pelican had, I don't know if becouse of Covid-19 but the selection of entrees was limited. The food was not the same,Drinks were ok. There's one receptionist at the booth that needs training in customer relations. Wish I had her name. Overall the view still breathtaking as always!!!!

I m from Massachusetts and wanted to escape the cold and celebrate my wedding anniversary with my wife. I wanted the evening to be special. After doing a ton of research I found the Rusty Pelican. I was a bit nervous relying on the internet for a recommendation. I must say I have never been to a more perfect restaurant. From hostess to the bartenders and wait staff. We felt welcomed and special. The views from outside and inside are amazing. Last but not least the food, it was perfection. This has become my favorite place to be when in Miami.

Last week we had a not soooo good experience regarding the service and the hostess.
Yesterday at lunch Richardo was a very nice and attentive waiter! Friendly and engaging. The food has been again very good! Creative, tasty and well prepared.
The wines on the list are still not available but the alternative suggestion from Richardo worked very well.
The hostess at the front desk is still unpolite and cold and not welcoming. One has to overlook that.
The restaurant is a very nice place. Value for money is well balanced.

This place is always exceptional. When it comes to location there is none better. Their food is fairly priced for the spot they re in and for the high quality, upscale casual dinning. Events like office parties, birthdays or graduations are a must at the Rusty Pelican!

Ordered crab cake and calamari for appetizers. Delicious bread was complimentary. The crab cake and calamari was fresh and delicious. My friends ordered the salmon, hubby ordered the lobster roll and I ordered the lobster and crab linguine. My friends loved the salmon. The lobster roll was bland and the linguine wasn't bad.

Great restaurant with amazing view back over to downtown Miami. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was excellent and given the high standards we found the cost to be very reasonable. We will definitely be back!!

So goooood. Sat on the patio and watched the boats go by. We got the six variety charcuterie plate and it was divine, a really nice assortment of baked and cold cheese, plus figs and lavash bread. Also tried the sangria and a few smoky cocktails, which were great. Would definitely recommend.

It's a nice place. However, I was so disappointed because when we call in the morning for a reservation for 6 persons,as we know most of the nice restaurants required one ,we were told that we can just walk in.On Arrival ,around 6pm the staff stated that we needed reservation if not we are going to wait until 10pm.When my husband went for his car telling the valet's manager there is no table available, then he accompanied him and they give him a table. The worst is we heard someone who just walked in and told them "I made a reservation 1h ago."one of the staff stated"Dr...."and he was welcomed.
What that's supposed to mean...is this restaurant 'staff need to see your face first , name and title before reservation.
We know which country we are living at this time.I was thinking coming back. Its the last time.Never Again.
