View is just amazing
Service is good - just good
Pretty simple menu, shorter than expected.
Food is just ok, we ordered:
Calamari - 8 out of 10
Ceviche - 8 out of 10
Sea Bass - 8.5 out of 10
Salmon - 7 out of 10
Fried snapper 8.5 out of 10
Top sirloin with egg Benedict 8 out of 10
Side of fries - 5 out of 10
Food was just warm, not hot and although it was not bad we expected way more for this place.

The view is awesome. Will recommend to reserve the outdoor table around sunset. Skyline and the sunset view is beautiful.
Food is good but over price.

3 Tiered Seafood Tower
Only have 1 lobster tail and maybe 2 king crab legs. The oyster is so small and all the others are just fine ( sushi roll, nigiri, sashimi, ceviche and shrimp) it doesn t make sense to me to pay that much money for it.

Rusty Pelican Board for two
It s good if you would like to try a little bit everything on their entrees menu. But my friend said the lobster in the Board for 2 is not that fresh. And when they serve the food is already cold.

But their drinks are good. We try serval cocktail and their tea and dessert. Great and satisfying. Recommend their Agave Sunset and Key Biscayne Pie. If you don t want liquors. You can ask for hot tea. I personally like their Camel milk tea.

Overall it is a great restaurant with great view. I will say it is good if you just want to have a great view with some cocktail and tapas. But I will not recommend this restaurant for dinner.

The place is beautiful, the food is good, free parking and party music. Expensive food, bad waiters and dirty environment. Summary I'd be back for dinner about 18 to catch a beautiful sunset, ready to spend a couple $ 100 minimum.

What a great recommendation. We spent a few days visiting the Virginia Key Outdoor Center on the other side of this island. The owner and staff made great recommendations including this fantastic spot. The service was first rate. Drinks at the bar were well prepared. Food was very tasty. The view was memorable. We watched the sunset from our dinner table. Highly recommended for Miami visitors. Stop by the Rusty Pelican for a great meal and great views.

Frankly, for the price, thia place is not worth all the hype. We visites for Father's day. Yes, they had an immaculate buffet with endless options. However, we were sat outside and in Miami this means lots of sun. So, we left with a satisfied tummy, but overheated.

A Fodor s choice, we stopped after visiting Key Biscayne. Lunch was really good we chose to eat light with Pelican salad, neiki roll and lobster poboy overall very satisfying lunch flavors are good and serving size just right. View of Miami is spectacular with ocienviews from window.

By far the worst restaurant we visited in Florida. We only had three starters but all of them were disgusting and we decided not to order any more food. Ceviche was tasteless, octopus extremely greasy and salty and tuna on the bread was ruined by what's accompanied it. If you add extremely long waiting time you will get a very bad experience. On top of it the food gave ny girlfriend a stomach ache. I'm giving it two stars solely for a great location and an amazing view.

Had a wonderful business luncheon Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019. Great location, fine food, and efficient service.
Certainly expensive, but it is a location driven business. Hands down the priciest lunch in my 65 years on this planet. The way one of the signature cocktails was prepared was artistic.
The gentleman who I took to lunch suggested eating outside. With the deluge of evil seagulls and my phobia of birds opted for an inside table by the window. I suggest a hawk or some sort of laser deterrent to keep the birds at bay.
However I noticed many guests outside were feeding the gulls or leaving plates of food for them.
Kept hoping for lunchtime entertainment of a gull flying into the fire pit and frying, but that s just me!

Really loved this place. Would've given 5 stars, however, they were understaffed when we went for lunch. We ended up walking to the bar to get our refills rather than waiting for our waiter, who was tasked with too many tables. The food was fresh and delicious, and what a beautiful view. Perhaps they aren't always in an understaffed situation, so we'll try again.

Awful experience poor service at the bar and at the table! Our waitress was impolite and seemed to be annoyed that we didn t ordered enough food, even though we ordered 4 entrees, cocktails and desert! The view can t buy everything sorry! Quality of Food, quality of service, and the view is an experience and for me as a Miamian R.Pelican didn t reach my expectation, there s many other beautiful places with stunning view too and the rest of the experience I m expecting!

I attended a brunch in the room on the side. Bottomless mimosas. Friendly staff. Room had natural sunlight from outside. Food was amazing. No complaints. Valet parking. Easy to find the location.

There is nothing bad to say about this place besides the parking situation but that's understandable. The food is always spot on, the views are incredible and very friendly staff. If you are ever visiting Key Biscayne, this is a must.

We were attended by Miss Cinthia. Very attentive and loving, a spectacular service with the best recommendations. We rate your work 5 stars. I definitely recommend it if you want the best service in the place.

We had to use valet although we'd gotten there 20 minutes before the restaurant opened, there were no self parking spaces left. By the time we left at around 1pm, the line to park was all the way out to the main road with no one moving. Parking is most certainly an issue and their valet should probably be run by another company. I don't know if they use their own valet people, but it is not working. The parking is the reason I am not giving it a 4 star.

The food portions are minimal. My husband ordered the crab cake as an appetizer. It ended up being one crab cake that could fit into the palm of my small hand. It was delicious, but expensive. We ended up paying $160 not including tip for 3 people. I came home and had a snack...still hungry. Today's special had $18 for unlimited mimosas. That was well worth it. I took full advantage of that.

The view was amazing.

If you don't care about your budget and don't mind no self parking, this is the place for you.

Low-end restaurant, the dishes are tasteless and ultra greasy.
The map is incomprehensible ... no explanation. The waiter just wants to fool you up for $ 175.
I chose a dish without really knowing what it was at $ 15
I had breaded fish !! disgusting!!!
When we asked for the bill we noticed an error on the price of my flat billed at $ 30. We noticed this difference in price ... and there, the server explains that he ordered another dish because mine was too spicy! Me who grows peppers in my garden !!
I do not recommend this thievery restaurent where the waiter took pleasure in robbing us.

Food was amazing service was choppy at the beginning due to it being very busy. We made our reservation through open table and were seated promptly. The spacing between tables created a safe environment and the all the staff wore masks. The jalapeno cornbread with maple butter was simply amazing.. The short rib empanadas were fresh and melted in your mouth. My wife ordered the coal fried snapper with coconut risotto smoked plantain mash. Texture was great fish was moist and flaky with spicy kick to it. I ordered the surf and turf for myself and the filet mignon was superb. The lobster was fresh and delicious will definitely be back soon

Let's start with the views. Beautiful views of the Bay and everyone out there on their boats. It's a cool atmosphere. They did a decent job of socially distancing everyone. We were concerned that it was going to rain, and due to the social distancing at the time, we wouldve had to take our food to go or wait for a table to open up inside.
The drinks are amazing. They've got one with passionfruit and wow. Just wow.
The food was... good. I ordered the risotto dish and while it wasn't bad, it was missing something. They provide complimentary bread with like a parmesan butter which is *chefs kiss* amazing and the presentation for all of their dishes was well done. Not a bad experience, but it didnt quite meet my expectations. HOWEVER, the waiter who helped to us was fantastic. Personable, funny, attentive. His name is Andrew. Kudos to him.

Food wasn't good. Service was even worse. It took 20 minutes to be greeted, then took another hour and half for the food. We had to get up and get our own drinks. Manager Devin was very nice and took charge. Beautiful view of downtown...but probably wouldn't go back

I've been here numerous times and have always loved this beautiful restaurant and unfortunatly talked it up way to much to my daughter. The views are the very best and sunset / Miami lights at night are worth the trip. Drinks were great but nothing we ordered to eat was very good and certainly not worth the cost. Sad to say I doubt I'll ever go back.

Ambiance:

Ambiance:
The place is very nice, especially the outside area.

The food:
The food was not too tasty, my husband didn't enjoy it and I think it was average, not good for the price they have. The presentation was excellent, the flavor was a bit plain, that's all, especially for a fish.

COVID safety
Inside the tables are a little bit close to each other. I didn t want to seat in there so we had to wait 30 min to be seated outside, which is not bad, but a lot of people are trying to get photos on the fire pit they have next to the tables so there is always people very close to the tables taking photos of the view.

Excellent

Beautiful view of Miami skyline, especially at sunset. Food is great but wine and cocktails are ridiculously priced; $60-$80 for a $12 bottle of wine, $25+ for a whisky. We were there during a busy night when we found the bar service understaffed and overwhelmed. It took 15 minutes to get a wine list at the bar. Food service was also very slow, obviously working the bar tab up.

If you have deep pockets and plenty of time to enjoy the view, you wont be disappointed.

Very good option to eat and have a nice time, I recommend making a reservation to eat watching the sunset! This time I went to an event and spoke with Rafael the manager and his receptivity was great! Thanks a lot!

The view was fabulous and the food was great. I has the lobster roll and fries and my husband had the crabcake. The roll was toasted in butter and the lobster was sweet. There was also a great tasting sauce. The fries arrived in their fry basket, were nicely flavored and crispy perfection.
Although the cost was a bit pricy it was worth it. It was a great way to celebrate getting our 2nd Covid shot and taking a road trip. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all my friends.

They were absolutely amazing here. Our flight got delayed for 6 hours and we were so late for our reservation, the restaurant was closing. Additionally, it was my husband s birthday and we really just wanted to have a good time. They were absolutely amazing and served us with smiles and genuine spirits. Keke was the most amazing server. To top it all off, the food was amazing and so was the dessert. I would most definitely come back here. Thank you Rusty Pelican!

One of the world's famous landmarks of Miami on the ocean side. Great skyline views. Underwent remodeling not long ago however the food offerings changed towards the wanna-be gourmet with small portions and exhorbitant pricing. Apparently not a smart move, patrons get a drink or two and leave.
Still great for pre arranged social gatherings!
